According to the state of the art, vehicles are known which are equipped with a body that is open at the top and a crane arranged behind the driver's cab. In this case, containers, in particular recycling containers, as are found everywhere in public places, are picked up by the crane and emptied over the body. The disadvantage here is that the recycling material to be loaded is not compacted and therefore correspondingly long bodies are required and the available payload cannot be used. Due to this long body, a correspondingly oversized crane is required for emptying, since the containers also have to be swung over the rear part of the body to empty them. Furthermore, when emptying glass, for example, the high fall height of the glass creates a lot of broken glass, which can no longer be sorted. In the paper and glass collection, recycling vehicles are sometimes used, but these can only be filled with standard waste containers or by hand. Collection of containers such as those kept in public places and a combined collection of recycling containers and normal waste containers is not possible.

The object of the invention is to provide a device for emptying containers, especially recycling containers, which are attached to a

conventional garbage truck, thereby achieving compaction for transport and thus better payloads, high

The filling funnel 5 arranged on the left in the direction of travel and the crane 6 arranged on the right in the direction of travel are connected to the support 7, which is also arranged on the right in the direction of travel in the immediate vicinity of the crane 6, via a base frame 4. This entire unit can be separated from the garbage truck quickly and easily using corresponding quick-release fasteners 11. Due to the arrangement of the crane 6 on the right-hand side, it can be designed accordingly lightly without being able to accommodate containers 14 that are located far away and the entire unit can be flanged to all conventional garbage trucks with a correspondingly low dead weight. By linking the support 7 to the base frame 4 in the immediate vicinity of the crane 6, the forces that occur are minimized and conveniently introduced into the rear part 2.

The chute 8 arranged in the filling funnel 5 above the boundary line 3 of the loading mechanism ensures that the material to be emptied from the container has a minimum fall height, cannot fall through to the floor pan 13 of the rear part 2 and that the material is guided by the inclination of the chute 8 to the debris wall 5* of the filling funnel 5 and can slide down in a controlled manner through the passage 10 on the dump wall 5' and the floor pan 13 of the rear part 2 and can be pressed from here by the loading mechanism into the container of the garbage collection vehicle 1.

The padding of the chute 8, the chute wall 5' and the base pan provides further protection for the material to be recycled.

In order to ensure that the material to be loaded does not remain on the chute or block the passage, the chute 8 can be equipped with a pivot bearing at its upper end and is swiveled up and down using appropriate power elements such as hydraulic cylinders. This swiveling can increase the incline of the chute 8 and also the passage 10.

As a variant, it is also conceivable to mount the chute 8 on rubber elements, whereby the chute 8 can then be made to vibrate via vibrating elements and thus prevent the passage 10 from slipping or becoming blocked.

In a further variant, the size of the passage 10 can be varied via a telescopic part 16 at the lower end of the chute 8. This also makes it possible to counteract the sliding speed of the material to be loaded and the blockage of the passage 10.

If the pouring wall 5' of the filling funnel 5 is designed accordingly, a commercially available device for emptying garbage cans can be installed here. This then enables garbage cans to be removed, as is usual for household waste disposal, and the containers that are usually found in public places to be disposed of in one disposal tour.
