Description
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine wärmehärtbare Zusammensetzung, die für verschiedene Überzuge für Außenwände von Gebäuden, Automobile, Industriemaschinen, Stahlmöbel, elektrische Haushaltsgeräte, Kunststoffe und ähnliches verwendet wird, insbesondere für Überzüge, die eine hervorragende Dauerhaftigkeit aufweisen müssen.
- In EP-A-0 318 880 ist eine wärmehärtende Zusammensetzung enthalten (A) mit einem Hydroxylgruppen enthaltenden Harz, (B) einem Alkoxysilangruppen enthaltenden Copolymer und (C) einem Härtungskatalysator, die geeignet ist für die Verwendung als Überzüge. Die Eigenschaften des Films aus der Zusammensetzung sind beschrieben.
- EP-A-0 370 464 beschreibt eine härtbare Harzzusammensetzung, umfassend (A) ein Alkoxysilangruppen enthaltendes Polymer, (B) ein Epoxyharz, (C) einen Silanol-Kondensations-Katalysator, (D) ein Härtungsmittel für das Epoxyharz, und (E) eine Silicium enthaltende Verbindung sowie ihre Eigenschaften.
- EP-A-0 186 191 beschreibt eine härtbare harzige Zusammensetzung, umfassend (A) ein organisches elastomeres Polymer mit mindestens einer Silicium enthaltenden reaktiven Gruppe in einem Molekül, (B) ein Epoxyharz, (C) eine Siliciumverbindung mit einer Silicium enthaltenden Gruppe und einer funktionellen Gruppe, die mit einer Epoxygruppe reaktiv ist, und (D) ein Härtungsmittel für das Epoxyharz und deren Eigenschaften.
- Übliche wärmehärtende Überzüge sind solche, bei denen ein Melamin als Vernetzungsmittel verwendet wird, wie ein Alkydmelamin, ein Acrylmelamin oder ein Epoxymelamin, so daß es sich um solche handelt, bei denen das Problem des schlechten Geruchs, der durch die Melaminharze verursacht wird, noch gelöst werden muß.
- Als Überzüge ohne ein solches Problem wurden vorgeschlagen (1) eine Farbe unter Verwendung eines Polyolharzes und eines hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltenden Harzes, (2) eine Farbe unter Verwendung eines Polyolharzes und einer hydrolysierbaren Siliciumverbindung, (3) eine Farbe unter Verwendung eines hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltenden Harzes und einer hydrolysierbaren Siliciumverbindung und ähnliches, und es wurde gezeigt, daß sie zusätzlich hinsichtlich der Überzugsfilmhärte, der Lösungsmittelbeständigkeit des Überzugsfilms und ähnlichem verbessert sind.
- Diese Farben, bei denen kein Problem mit dem von den Melaminen verursachten schlechten Geruch besteht, zeigen jedoch ein anderes Problem dahingehend, daß die Filmeigenschaften nicht notwendigerweise ausreichen.
- Angesichts der Umstände haben die Erfinder Studien wiederholt, um Überzugsmaterialien ohne Probleme mit schlechtem Geruch und mit hervorragenden Überzugsfilmeigenschaften zu erhalten. Als Ergebnis haben sie gefunden, daß die Überzugsfilmeigenschaften verbessert werden können durch weitere Zugabe einer hydrolysierbaren Siliciumverbindung zu einer Mischung aus einem Harz mit Hydroxylgruppen und einem hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltenden Polymer, und haben die vorliegende Erfindung vervollständigt.
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft für die Vertragsstaaten BE, DE, FR, GB und IT eine wärmehärtende Zusammensetzung wie in Anspruch 1 des Anspruchssatzes für diese Staaten definiert.

- Als erfindungsgemäß verwendetes Harz mit Hydroxylgruppe, das die Komponente (A) ist (im folgenden als "Harz (A) mit Hydroxylgruppe"), bezeichnet, wird mindestens ein Harz verwendet, das ausgewählt wird aus einem Alkydharz mit einer Öllänge von nicht mehr als 50 %, einem ölfreien Alkydharz, einem Acryl-modifizierten Alkydharz, einem Hydroxylgruppen enthaltenden Acrylharz, einem Hydroxylgruppen enthaltenden Fluorkohlenwasserstoffharz, die bisher als wärmehärtende Farbe verwendet wurden, einem Polyesterpolyol, einem Polyetherpolyol, einem Polyurethanpolyol und einer Hydroxygruppen enthaltenden Gelluloseverbindung. Solche Harze (A) mit Hydroxylgruppe können auf eine Weise hergestellt werden, die bisher bekannt war. Das Molekulargewicht des Harzes (A) mit Hydroxylgruppe ist, ausgedrückt als zahlenmittleres Molekulargewicht, 1500 bis 40000 unter den Gesichtspunkten der physikalischen Eigenschaften des Überzugsfilms, der aus der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung erhalten wird. Auch der Hydroxylwert beträgt unter den Gesichtspunkten der physikalischen Eigenschaften des Überzugsfilms 10 bis 150 mg KOH/g. Das Harz (A) mit Hydroxylgruppe kann allein oder als Gemisch verwendet werden.
- Das erfindungsgemäß verwendete hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltende Polymer, das die Komponente (B) ist (im folgenden als "hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltendes Polymer (B)" bezeichnet), ist ein Silylgruppen enthaltendes Polymer mit mindestens einer, bevorzugt nicht weniger als 2 Siliciumatomen in einem Molekül an den Molekülenden oder Seitenketten, an die eine hydrolysierbare Gruppe gebunden ist. Wenn die Anzahl der hydrolysierbaren Silylgruppen geringer ist als 1 in einem Molekül, wird die Lisungsmittelbeständigkeit leicht erniedrigt, die die physikalische Eigenschaft des Überzugsfilms der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung ist. Beispiele für die oben erwähnten hydrolysierbaren Gruppen sind beispielsweise eine Alkoxygruppe, eine Hydroxygruppe, eine Acyloxygruppe, eine Aminoxygruppe, eine Phenoxygruppe, eine Thioalkoxygruppe oder eine Aminogruppe. Die Alkoxygruppe ist unter dem Gesichtspunkt der physikalischen Eigenschaften des Überzugsfilms aus der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung am meisten bevorzugt. Es ist unter den Gesichtspunkten der physikalischen Eigenschaften des Überzugsfilms aus der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung bevorzugt, daß das zahlenmittlere Molekulargewicht des hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltenden Polymeren (8) von 1000 bis 30000 ist.
- Konkrete Beispiele für das hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltende Polymer (8) sind ein hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltendes Vinylpolymer, dessen Hauptkette im wesentlichen aus Polyvinylbindungen aufgebaut ist, ein hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltendes Polyesterpolymer, dessen Hauptkette im wesentlichen aus Polyesterbindungen aufgebaut ist, ein hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltendes Polyesterpolymer, dessen Hauptkette im wesentlichen aus Polyetherbindungen aufgebaut ist, darüber hinaus Pfropfpolymere oder Blockpolymere, die unter ihrer Verwendung erhalten werden. Unter diesen sind die hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltenden Vinylpolymere unter dem Gesichtspunkt der Wetterbeständigkeit besonders bevorzugt.
- Die obengenannten hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltenden Vinylpolymere können beispielsweise erhalten werden durch Copolymerisation eines Vinylmonomeren mit einem hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltenden Monomeren. Das Polymer kann teilweise eine Urethanbindung oder eine Siloxanbindung in seiner Hauptkette oder in den Seitenketten enthalten.
- Die obengenannten Vinylmonomere sind nicht besonders beschränkt. Beispiele für die Vinylmonomere sind beispielsweise ein ungesättigter Carbonsäureester wie Methyl(meth)acrylat, Ethyl(meth)acrylat, Butyl(meth)acrylat, 2-Ethylhexyl(meth)acrylat, Stearyl(meth)acrylat, Benzyl(meth)acrylat, Cyclohexyl(meth)acrylat, Trifluoroethyl(meth)acrylat, Pentafluoropropyl(meth)acrylat, ein Diester oder Halbester einer Polycarbonsäure (Maleinsäure, Furmarsäure, Itakonsäure und ähnliches) mit einem linearen oder verzweigten Alkohol mit 1 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen; eine aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffvinylverbindung wie Styrol, α- Methylstyrol, Chlorstyrol, Styrolsulfonsäure, 4-Hydroxystyrol oder Vinyltoluol; ein Vinylester oder eine Allylverbindung wie Vinylacetat, Vinylpropionat oder Diallylphthalat; eine Nitrilgruppen enthaltende Vinylverbindung wie (Meth)acrylnitril; eine Epoxygruppen enthaltende Vinylverbindung wie Glycidyl(meth)acrylat; eine Aminogruppen enthaltende Vinylverbindung wie Dimethylaminoethyl(meth)acrylat, Diethylaminoethyl(meth)acrylat, Diethylaminomethyl(meth)acrylat, Vinylpyridin, Aminoethylvinylether; eine Amidogruppe enthaltende Vinylverbindung wie (Meth)acrylamid, Itaconsäurediamid, α- Ethyl(meth)acrylamid, Crotonsäureamid, Maleinsäurediamid, Fumarsäurediamid, N-Vinylpyrrolidon, N-Butoxymethyl(meth)acrylamid, N,N-Dimethylacrylamid, N- Methylacrylamid oder Acryloylmorpholin; eine Hydroxygruppen enthaltende Vinylverbindung wie 2-Hydroxyethyl(meth)acrylat, 2- Hydroxypropyl(meth)acrylat, 2-Hydroxyethylvinylether, N- methylol(meth)acrylamid, oder Aronix 5700, hergestellt von Toagosei Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., Placcel FA-1, Placcel FA-4, Placcel FM-1 oder Placcel FM-4, hergestellt von Daicel Chemical Industries, Ltd.; eine ungesättigte Carbonsäure wie (Meth)acrylsäure, Maleinsäure, Furmarsäure oder Itaconsäure, ihre Salze (ein Alkalimetallsalz, ein Ammoniumsalz, ein Aminsalz und ähnliches) oder ihre Säureanhydride (Maleinsäureanhydrid); eine andere Vinylverbindung wie Vinylmethylether, Vinylchlorid, Vinylidenchiond, Chloropren, Propylen, Butadien, Isopren, Maleimid, N Vinylimidazol oder Vinylsulfonsäure; und ähnliches.
- Die oben genannten hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltende Monomere sind nicht besonders beschränkt, solange das Monomer die hydrolysierbare Silylgruppe aufweist. Typische Beispiele für die Monomere sind beispielsweise,
- Der Prozentsatz der hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltenden Monomereinheiten im hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltende Vinylpolymeren (B) beträgt bevorzugt von 5 bis 90 % (Gew.-%, im folgenden genauso), bevorzugter 11 bis 70 %.
- Das hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltende Vinylpolymer kann beispielsweise in einer Art und Weise hergestellt werdenwie in den japanischen ungeprüften Patentveröffentlichungen Nr. 36395/1979, Nr. 36109/1982, Nr. 157810/1983 beschrieben. Es ist am meisten bevorzugt, es unter dem Gesichtspunkt der Einfachheit der Synthese in einer Lösungspolymerisation unter Verwendung eines Azoradikal-Initiators wie Azobisisobutyronitril herzustellen.
- Falls notwendig kann in der obengenannten Lösungspolymerisation das Molekulargewicht durch Verwendung eines Kettentransfermittels wie n- Dodecylmercaptan, t-Dodecylmercaptan, n-Butylmercaptan, γ- Mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilan, γ-Mercaptopropyltriethylsi lan, γ- Mercaptopropylmethyldimethoxysilan, γ-Mercaptopropylmethyldiethoxysilan, (CH&sub3;)&sub3;Si-S-S-Si-(OCH&sub3;)&sub3; oder (CH&sub3;O)&sub3;Si-S&sub8;-Si(OCH&sub3;)&sub3; kontrolliert werden. Insbesondere bei Verwendung eines Kettenübertragungsmittels mit einer hydrolysierbaren Silylgruppe im Molekül wie γ-Mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilan ist es möglich, die hydrolysierbare Silylgruppe in die Polymerenden des Silylgruppen enthaltenden Vinylcopolymeren einzuführen.
- In der obengenannten Lösungspolymerisation verwendete Polymerisationslösungsmittel sind nicht besonders beschränkt, solange die Lösungsmittel nicht reaktive Lösungsmittel sind, wie Kohlenwasserstoffe (Toluol, Xylol, n-Hexanol, Cyclohexan und ähnliches), Essigsäureester (Ethylacetat, Butylacetat und ähnliches), Alkohole (Methanol, Ethanol, Isopropanol, n-Butanol und ähnliches), Ether (Ethylcellosolve, Butylcellosolve, Cellosolveacetat und ähnliches), und Ketone (Methylethylketon, Ethylacetoacetat, Acetylaceton, Diacetonalkohol, Isobutylketon, Aceton und ähnliches).
- Das hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltende Polymer (8) kann allein oder als Gemisch verwendet werden.
- Die verwendete Menge des hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltenden Polymeren (B) ist nicht besonders beschränkt. Es ist bevorzugt, daß Komponente (A)/Verbindung (B) von 9/1 bis 1/9 als Gewichtsverhältnis beträgt, bevorzugter von 8/2 bis 2/8. Wenn (A)/(B) größer ist als 9/1, besteht eine Tendenz zur Senkung der Wasserbeständigkeit, der physikalischen Eigenschaft des Überzugsfilms aus der Zusammensetzung gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung, und wenn (A)/(B) geringer ist als 1/9, besteht eine Tendenz, daß die durch Zumischen der Komponente (A) erzielten Eigenschaften nicht zufriedenstellend erhalten werden.
- Die erfindungsgemäß verwendete hydrolysierbare Siliciumverbindung, die die Komponente (C) wie in Anspruch 1 beider Anspruchssätze mit den Ausnahmen für die Vertragsstaaten BE, DE, FR, GB und IT definiert (im folgenden als "hydrolysierbare Siliciumverbindungen (C)" bezeichnet) ist, ist eine Verbindung mit einer hydrolysierbaren Silylgruppe am Molekülende oder der Seitenkette, und ist eine Komponente, die zur Verbesserung der Adhäsion, Härte und Lösungsmittelbeständigkeit der Überzugsfilme verwendet wird, die aus der wärmehärtenden Zusammensetzung erhalten werden, die das Harz (A) mit Hydroxylgruppe, das hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltende Polymer (8) und den unten erwähnten Härtungskatalysator (D) umfassen. Bevorzugte Beispiele für die hydrolysierbare Siliciumverbindung (C) sind beispielsweise hydrolysierbare Silanverbindungen, ihre Kondensationsprodukte, ihre Reaktionsprodukte und deren Mischungen.
- Konkrete Beispiele für die obengenannten hydrolysierbaren Silanverbindungen sind beispielsweise Methylsilicat, Methyltrimethoxysilan, Ethyltrimethoxysilan, Butyltrimethoxysilan, Octyltrimethoxysilan, Dodecyltrimethoxysilan, Phenyltrimethoxysilan, Vinyltrimethoxysilan, γ- Methacryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilan, γ-Acryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilan, γ-Glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilan, γ-Mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilan, γ- Aminopropyltrimethoxysilan, N-β-Aminoethyl-γ-trimethyoxysilan, Dimethyldimethoxysilan, Diethyldimethoxysilan, Dibutyldimethoxysilan, Diphenyldimethoxysilan, Vinylmethyldimethoxysilan, γ- Methacryloylpropylmethyldimethoxysilan, Trimethylmethoxysilan, Triethylmethoxysilan, Triphenylmethoxysilan, Ethylsilicat, Methyltriethoxysilan, Ethyltriethoxysilan, Butyltriethoxysilan, Octyltriethoxysilan, Dodecyltriethoxysilan, Phenyltriethoxysilan, Vinyltriethoxysilan, γ-Methacryloyloxypropyltriethoxysilan, γ- Acryloyloxypropyltriethoxysilan, γ-Glycidyloxypropyltriethoxysilan, γ- Mercaptopropyltriethoxysilan, γ-Aminopropyltriethoxysilan, N-β-Aminoethyl- γ-Propyltriethoxysilan, Dimethyldiethoxysilan, Diethyldiethoxysilan, Dibutyldiethoxysilan, Diphenyldiethoxysilan, Vinylmethyldiethoxysilan, γ- Methacryloyloxypropylmethyldiethoxysilan, Trimethylethoxysilan, Triethylethoxysilan, Triphenylmethoxysilan.
- Auch das teilweise hydrolysierte Kondensat aus der obengenannten hydrolysierbaren Silanverbindung kann einfach im Verlauf der Kondensation der obengenannten Silanverbindung oder eines Gemisches davon durch Zugabe einer notwendigen Menge H&sub2;O erhalten werden, wobei auch je nach Bedarf eine kleine Menge eines Kondensationskatalysators wie Salzsäure oder Schwefelsäure zugegeben wird, bei einer Temperatur von Raumtemperatur bis 100 ºC, während der gebildete Alkohol entfernt wird.
- Als teilweise hydrolysierte Kondensate von Methylsilicat, das eine Methoxysilylgruppe aufweist, wird beispielsweise genannt Methylsilicat 47, Methylsilicat 51, Methylsilicat 55, Methylsilicat 58, Methylsilicat 60, die von Nippon Colcoat Kabushiki Kaisha hergestellt werden, und ähnliches. Als teilweise hydrolysiertes Kondensat aus Methyltrimethoxysilan oder Dimethyldimethoxysilan, das eine Methoxysilylgruppe aufweist, sind als Beispiele angegeben AFP-1, AFP-2, AFP-6, KR213, KR217, KR9218, die von Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd. hergestellt werden; TDR165, TR3357, die von Toshiba Silicone Co., Ltd. hergestellt werden, Y-1587, FZ-3701, FZ-3704, die von Nippon Unicar Kabushiki Kaisha hergestellt werden und ähnliches. Als teilweise hydrolysiertes Kondensat von Ethylsilicat, das eine Ethoxysilylgruppe aufweist, werden beispielhaft angegeben Ethylsilicat 40, das hergestellt wird von Nippon Colcoat Kabushiki Kaisha, HAS-1, HAS-6, HAS-10 und ähnliches.
- Als Reaktionsprodukt der obengenannten hydrolysierbaren Silanverbindung werden als Beispiele angegeben Reaktionsprodukte eines Silankupplungsmittels mit Aminogruppe und eines Silankupplungsmittels mit Epoxygruppe; Reaktionsprodukte eines Silankupplungsmittels mit Aminogruppe und Ethylenoxid, Butylenoxid, Epichlorhydrin, epoxidiertem Sojaöl und einer anderen Verbindung mit Epoxygruppe wie Epicoat 828 oder Epicoat 1001, hergestellt von Yuka Shell Epoxy Kabushiki Kaisha; Reaktionsprodukte eines Silankupplungsmittels mit Epoxygruppe und eines Amins, beispielsweise eines aliphatischen Amins wie Ethylamin, Diethylamin, Triethylamin, Ethylendiamin, Hexandiamin, Diethylentriamin, Triethylentetramin oder Tetraethylenpentamin, eines aromatischen Amins wie Anilin oder Diphenylamin, eines alicyclischen Amins wie Cyclopentylamin oder Cyclohexylamin, Ethanolaminen.
- Die hydrolysierbare Siliciumverbindung (C) kann allein oder als Gemisch verwendet werden.
- Die verwendete Menge der hydrolysierbaren Siliciumverbindung (C) ist nicht besonders beschränkt. Im allgemeinen beträgt die Menge 0,01 bis 100 Teile (Gewichtsteile, im folgenden genauso), bevorzugt 0,1 bis 30 Teile, bezogen auf 100 Teile der Feststoffe der Komponente (A) und der Komponente (B). Wenn die verwendete Menge der Komponente (C) geringer ist als 0,01 Teile, wird der Zugabeeffekt nicht ausreichend erhalten. Wenn die Menge größer ist als 100 Teile, besteht eine Tendenz zur Verschlechterung der Filmeigenschaften der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung. Beispiele für den erfindungsgemäß verwendeten Härtungskatalysator, der die Komponente (D) ist (im folgenden als "Härtungskatalysator (D)" bezeichnet), sind beispielsweise Organozinn-Verbindungen wie Dibutylzinndilaurat, Dibutylzinndimaleat, Dioctylzinndilaurat, Dioctylzinndimaleat und Zinnoctanoat; Phosphorsäure oder Phosphate wie Monomethylphosphat, Monoethylphosphat, Monobutylphosphat, Monooctylphosphat, Monodecylphosphat, Dimethylphosphat, Diethylphosphat, Dibutylphosphat, Dioctylphosphat und Didecylphosphat; Additionsreaktionsprodukte von Phosphorsäure und(oder) einfach saurem Phosphat mit einer Epoxyverbindung wie Propylenoxid, Butylenoxid, Cyclohexenoxid, Glycidylmethacrylat, Glycidol, Acrylglycidylether, γ-Glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilan, γ- Glycidoxypropyltriethoxysilan, γ-Glycidoxypropylmethyltrimethoxysilan,
- Cardula E, hergestellt von Yuka Shell Epoxy Kabushiki Kaisha, oder Epicote 828 und Epicote 1001, hergestellt von Yuka Shell Epoxy Kabushiki Kaisha; organische Titanatverbindungen; organische Aluminiumverbindungen, saure Verbindungen wie Maleinsäure und p-Toluolsulfonsäure; Amine wie Hexylamin, Di-2-ethylhexylamin, N,N-Dimethyldodecylamin und Dodecylamin; Reaktionsprodukte des Amins mit dem sauren Phosphat, alkalische Verbindungen wie Natriumhydroxid und Kaliumhydroxid.
- Von diesen Härtungskatalysatoren (D) haben die Organozinn-Verbindungen, das saure Phosphat, die Reaktionsprodukte des sauren Phosphats und des Amins, die gesättigten oder ungesättigten polyvalenten Carbonsäuren oder ihre Säureanhydride, die reaktiven Siliciumverbindungen, die organischen Titanatverbindungen, die organischen Aluminiumverbindungen und deren Gemische eine hohe Aktivität und sind bevorzugt.
- Der Härtungskatalysator (D) kann allein oder als Gemisch verwendet werden.
- Die verwendete Menge der Komponente (D) ist nicht besonders beschränkt. Die Menge beträgt üblicherweise 0,1 bis 20 Teile, bevorzugt 0,1 bis 10 Teile bezogen auf 100 Teile der Feststoffe der Komponente (A) und der Komponente (B). Wenn die verwendete Menge der Komponente (D) geringer ist als 0,1 Teile, besteht eine Tendenz zur Erniedrigung der Härtbarkeit. Wenn die Menge größer ist als 20 Teile, besteht eine Tendenz zur Verschlechterung der Überzugseigenschaften der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung. Wenn als Komponente (D) die reaktive Siliciumverbindung, die auch als Komponente (C) verwendet wird, eingesetzt wird, ist es bevorzugt, daß die verwendete Menge nicht größer ist als 30 Teile [Gesamtmenge der Komponente (C) und der Komponente (D)] bezogen auf die Feststoffe der Komponente (A) und der Komponente (B).
- In der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung kann ein dehydratisierendes Mittel eingesetzt werden oder nicht. Durch Verwendung des dehydratisierenden Mittels kann erreicht werden, daß die Stabilität während einer langen Zeit erhalten bleibt und daß hinsichtlich der Stabilität sogar, falls die Zusammensetzung wiederholt verwendet wird, kein Problem auftritt.
- Beispiele für das dehydratisierende Mittel sind beispielsweise hydrolysierbare Esterverbindungen wie Methylorthoformiat, Ethylorthoformiat, Methylorthoacetat, Ethylorthoacetat, Methyltrimethoxysilan, γ-Methacryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilan, Vinyltrimethoxysilan, Methylsilicat und Ethylsilicat und ähnliches. Diese dehydratisierenden Mittel können vor, nach oder während der Polymerisation des hydrolysierbaren Silylgruppen enthaltenden Polymeren (B) zugegeben werden.
- Die verwendete Menge des dehydratisierenden Mittels ist nicht besonders beschränkt. Die Menge ist üblicherweise nicht größer als 100 Teile, bevorzugt nicht größer als 50 Teile bezogen auf 100 Teile der Feststoffe der Komponente (A) und der Komponente (B).
- Darüber hinaus ist es möglich, die Wirkung des dehydratisierenden Mittels durch Kombination mit einem Dehydratisierungsbeschleuniger zu erhöhen.
- Als Dehydratisierungsbeschleuniger sind wirksam anorganische Säuren wie Salzsäure, Schwefelsäure, Phosphorsäure oder Salpetersäure; eine organische Säure wie Ameisensäure, Essigsäure, Oxalsäure, Benzoesäure, Phthalsäure, p- Toluolsulfonsäure, Acrylsäure und Methacrylsäure; ein Metallsalz einer Karbonsäure wie ein Alkyltitanat oder Bleioctylat; eine Carbonsäure Organozinnverbindung wie Zinnoctylat, Dibutylzinndi laurat oder Dioctylzinnmaleat; eine Sulfid- oder Mercaptid-Organozinnverbindung wie Monobutylzinnsulfid oder Dioctylzinnmercaptid; ein Organozinnoxid wie Dioctylzinnoxid; eine Organozinnverbindung, die erhalten wird durch Reaktion des Organozinnoxids und einer Esterverbindung wie Ethylsilicat, Ethylsilicat 40, Dimethylmaleat oder Dioctylphthalat; ein Amin wie Tetraethylenpentamin, Triethylendiamin oder N-β-Aminoethyl-γaminoprpyltrimethoxysilan; ein Alkalikatalysator wie Kaliumhydroxid oder Natriumhydroxid; und ähnliches. Unter diesen sind organische Säuren, die anorganischen Säuren und die Organozinnverbindung besonders wirksam.
- Der Dehydratisierungsbeschleuniger wird in einer Menge von 0,0001 bis 20 Teilen, bevorzugt 0,001 bis 10 Teilen bezogen auf 100 Teile des Dehydratisierungsmittels verwendet. Bei Verwendung der Verbindung als Dehydratisierungsbeschleuniger, die auch als oben erwähnte Komponente (D) eingesetzt wird, wird sie weiter in einer Menge von 0,1 bis 20 Teilen, bevorzugt 0,1 bis 10 Teilen zusätzlich zu der verwendeten Menge der obengenannten Komponente (D) eingesetzt.
- In der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung kann ein Lösungsmittel verwendet werden. Als zu verwendendes Lösungsmittel kann jedes Lösungsmittel eingesetzt werden, in denen sowohl das Harz (A) mit Hydroxylgruppe und das hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltende Polymer (B) darin gelöst werden, oder jedes Lösungsmittel, in dem kein Niederschlag gebildet wird bei Vermischung des Harzes (A) mit Hydroxylgruppen mit den hydrolysierbaren Silylgruppen enthaltenden Polymeren (B).
- Konkrete Beispiele für solche Lösungsmittel sind beispielsweise aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, halogenierte Kohlenwasserstoffe, Alkohole, Ketone, Ester, Ether, alkoholische Ester, Ketonalkohole, Etheralkohole, Ketonether, Ketonester, Esterether, die in üblichen Farben oder Überzugsmitteln verwendet werden, und ähnliches. Unter diesen sind Alkylalkohole enthaltende Lösungsmittel unter dem Gesichtspunkt des Anstiegs der Stabilität der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung besonders bevorzugt.
- Als obengenannter Alkylalkohol sind Alkylalkohole mit einer Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen bevorzugt. Beispielsweise wird Methylalkohol, Ethylalkohol, n-Propylalkohol, Isopropylalkohol, n-Butylalkohol, Isobutylalkohol, sec-Butylalkohol, tert-Butylalkohol, n-Amylalkohol, Isoamylalkohol, Hexylalkohol, Octylalkohol, Cellosolve oder ähnliches verwendet. Üblicherweise ist diese Menge nicht größer als 100 Teile, bevorzugt nicht größer als 50 Teile bezogen auf 100 Teile der Feststoffe der Komponente (A) und der Komponente (B).
- Die Kombination des Alkohols und des oben erwähnten Dehydratisierungsmittels ist besonders wirksam für die Lagerstabilität im Fall der Mischung der Komponenten (A), (B) und (C) der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung und deren Lagerung. Die Menge des Lösungsmittels variiert in Abhängigkeit vom Molekulargewicht oder der Zusammensetzung der Komponenten (A) und (B), die in der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung verwendet werden, und wird auf in der Praxis notwendigen Feststoffgehalt oder Viskosität eingestellt.
- Zu der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung können je nach deren Verwendung Additive wie Verdünner, Pigmente (einschließlich eines Füllstoffpigments), Ultraviolettabsorbentien, Lichtstabilisatoren, Mittel zur Verhinderung von Niederschlägen und Verlaufmittel; Cellulosen wie Nitrocellulose und Celluloseacetatbutyrat, Harze wie Epoxyharze, Melaminharze, Vinylchloridharze, chloriertes Polypropylen, chlorierte Kautschuke und Polyvinylbutryral, Füllstoffe und ähnliches zugegeben werden.
- Als nächstes wird die Herstellungsmethode für die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung erklärt.
- Die Herstellungsmethode ist nicht besonders beschränkt. Beispielsweise wird die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung auf eine Art hergestellt, bei der die Komponente (A) mit der Komponente (B) kaltgemischt wird, oder nach Mischen der Komponenten (A) und (B) zur teilweisen Umsetzung erhitzt wird (heißgemischt), und anschließend werden die Komponenten (C) und (D) zugegeben.
- Die so erhaltene erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung ist eine, bei der die Vernetzungsreaktion, bei der die Hydroxylgruppe des Harzes (A) mit Hydroxylgruppe mit der Silylgruppe des hydrolysierbaren Silylgruppenenthaltenden Polymeren (B) reagiert, verwendet wird, und sie unterscheidet sich deutlich von üblichen Techniken, bei denen Melamin als Vernetzungsmittel verwendet wird.
- Die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung kann bei einer Temperatur von üblicherweise nicht weniger als 30ºC, bevorzugt von 55 bis 350ºC gehärtet werden, nach Auftragen auf ein Substrat auf eine übliche Weise, wie Tauchen, Sprühen oder Streichen.
- Die aus der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung erhaltenen Überzugsfilme haben hervorragende Adhäsion, Lösungsmittelbeständigkeit, Härte und ähnliches und eine hohe Dauerhaftigkeit.
- Die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung wird mit Hilfe der Herstellungsbeispiele und Vergleichsbeispiele erläutert.
- Ein mit einem Rührer, einem Thermometer, einem Kühler, einem Stickstoffeinlaßrohr und einem Tropftrichter ausgerüsteter Reaktor wurde mit 45,9 Teilen Xylol beschickt, und der Reaktor wurde unter Einleitung von 10 Stickstoffgas auf 110ºC erhitzt. Dann wurde eine unten gezeigte Mischung (b) tropfenweise mit gleichmäßiger Geschwindigkeit durch den Tropftrichter während 5 Stunden zugetropft.
- Styrol 12,8 Teile
- Methylmethacryl at 50,1 Teile
- Stearylmethacryl at 6,9 Teile
- γ-Methacryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilan 30,2 Teile
- Xylol 13,5 Teile
- 2,2' -Azobisisobutyronitril 4,5 Teile
- Nach Beendigung der Zugabe der Mischung (b) wurden 0,5 Teile 2,2'- Azobisisobutyronitril und 5 Teile Toluol tropfenweise mit gleichmäßiger Geschwindigkeit während 1 Stunde zugegeben. Nach Beendigung der Zugabe wurde die resultierende Mischung bei 110ºC während 2 Stunden gealtert, dann abgekühlt, und Xylol wurde zu der Harzlösung zur Einstellung des Feststoffgehalts auf 60 % zugegeben. Die Eigenschaften der erhaltenen Harzlösung (1) sind in Tabelle 1 dargestellt.
- Der Reaktor wurde mit 31,3 Teilen Butylacetat und 9,5 Teilen Xylol anstelle von 45,9 Teilen Xylol beschickt, und eine unten gezeigte Mischung (a) wurde auf dieselbe Art wie in Herstellungsbeispiel 1 zugegeben.
- Xylol 18 Teile
- Styrol 28,3 Teile
- Methylmethacrylat 7,1 Teile
- n-Butylacrylat 32,5 Teile
- Methacrylsäure 0,3 Teile
- Placcel FM-1 (Anmerkung 1) 31,8 Teile
- 2,2'-Azobisisobutyronitril 1,8 Teile
- (Anmerkung 1) 2-Hydroxyethylmethacrylat/E-caprolacton
- = 1/1-Additionsreaktionsprodukt, hergestellt von Daicel Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.
- Nach Beendigung der Zugabe der Mischung (a) wurde 0,2 Teile 2,2'- Azobisisobutyronitril und 3,8 Teile Toluol tropfenweise mit gleichmäßiger Geschwindigkeit während 1 Stunde zugegeben. Nach Beendigung der Zugabe wurde die resultierende Mischung bei 110ºC während 2 Stunden gealtert, und dann wurde die Mischung abgekühlt. Xylol wurde zu der Harzlösung zur Einstellung des Feststoffgehalts auf 60 % zugegeben. Die Eigenschaften der Harzlösung (2) sind in Tabelle 1 gezeigt. Tabelle 1
- Zu 48 g der Harzlösung (1) wurden 72 g der Harzlösung (2), 48 g Titandioxid (CR93, hergestellt von Ishihara Industry Kabushiki Kaisha), 3,6 g Methylorthoacetat, 10 g Isopropylalkohol, 18,4 g Xylol und 80 g Glasperlen mit einer Partikelgröße von 2 mm gegeben, und die Mischung wurde mit einem Farbschüttler während 1 Stunde zur Herstellung eines weißen Lacks-1 dispergiert.
- Der erhaltene weiße Lack-1, eine hydrolysierbare Siliciumverbindung und Dibutylzinndilaurat wurden in in Tabelle 2 dargestellten Mengen zur Herstellung einer Zusammensetzung gemischt.
- Zu der erhaltenen Zusammensetzung wurde ein gemischtes Lösungsmittel aus Xylol/Butanol = 70/30 zur Verdünnung auf eine Überzugsviskosität gegeben, mit der ein Teststück [ein anti-korrosives Aluminium (A-5052P, hergestellt von Nippon Test Panel Kabushiki Kaisha), das mit Xylol entfettet war) luftgespritzt, und während 20 Minuten stehengelassen und bei 140ºC während 20 Minuten zur Herstellung eines Films mit einer Dicke von 30 µm eingebrannt wurde. Die Bleistifthärte, der Zustand nach 10 mal Xylol- Abreiben und die Adhäsion des erhaltenen Überzugsfilm wurden entsprechend der folgenden Verfahren beurteilt. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 2 dargestellt.
- Der Test und die Beurteilung wurden entsprechend JIS K 5400 durchgeführt.
- Eine absorbierende Watte wird mit Xylol imprägniert, und jedes Teststück wird 10 mal unter denselben Bedingungen abgerieben und der Zustand beobachtet. Die Beurteilung sind, daß keine Schäden zeigt, o den Zustand zeigt, daß einige Kratzer auf der Oberfläche beobachtet werden, Δ den Zustand zeigt, daß der Glanz leicht nachläßt und x den Zustand zeigt, daß kein Glanz vorhanden ist.
- Entsprechend einer Querschnittstestmethode in der in JIS K 5400 beschriebenen Art werden die Beurteilungen so durchgeführt, daß 10 100/100 zeigt und 0 0/100 bedeutet.
- Zu 120 g der in Herstellungsbeispiel 2 erhaltenen Harzlösung (2) [Harz (a) mit Hydroxygruppe] wurden 18 g Titandioxid (CR 93, hergestellt von Ishihara Industry Kabushiki Kaisha), 3,6 g Methylorthoacetat, 10 g Isobutylalkohol, 13,4 g Xylol, und 80 g Glasperlen mit einer Partikelgröße von 2 mm gegeben, und die Mischung wurde in einem Farbschüttler während 1 Stunde zur Herstellung eines weißen Lacks-2 dispergiert.
- Der erhaltene weiße Lack-2, eine hydrolysierbare Siliciumverbindung und Dibutylzinndilaurat wurden in in Tabelle 2 dargestellten Mengen zur Herstellung einer Zusammensetzung gemischt.
- Auf die gleiche Art wie in Beispiel 1 wurde die erhaltene Zusammensetzung verdünnt, das Teststück zur Herstellung eines Überzugsfilms luftgespritzt und die Beurteilungen durchgeführt. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 2 gezeigt.
- Zu 120 g der in Herstellungsbeispiel 1 erhaltenen Harzlösung (1) [hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltendes Polymer (B)] wurden 48 g Titandioxid (CR 93, hergestellt von Ishihara Industry Kabushiki Kaisha), 3,6 g Methylorthoacetat, 10 g Isobutylalkohol, 13,4 g Xylol, und 80 g Glasperlen mit einer Partikelgröße von 2 mm gegeben, und die Mischung wurde in einem Farbschüttler während 1 Stunde zur Herstellung eines weißen Lacks-3 dispergiert.
- Der erhaltene weiße Lack-3, eine hydrolysierbare Siliciumverbindung und Dibutylzinndilaurat wurden in in Tabelle 2 dargestellten Mengen zur Herstellung einer Zusammensetzung gemischt.
- Auf die gleiche Art wie in Beispiel 1 wurde die erhaltene Zusammensetzung verdünnt, das Teststück zur Herstellung eines Überzugsfilms luftgespritzt und die Beurteilungen durchgeführt. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 2 gezeigt. Tabelle 2
- *1 Reaktionsprodukt eines Aminosilans (A-1120, hergestellt von Union Carbide Corporation) und eines Epoxysilans (A187, hergestellt von Union Carbide Corporation)
- *2 Reaktionsprodukt eines Epoxydharzes (Epicoat 828, hergestellt von Yuka Shell Epoxy Kabushiki Kaisha) und eines Aminsilans (A-1100, hergestellt von Union Carbide Corporation)
- *3 hydrolisiertes Kondesat von Ethulsilicat (Ethylsilicat, hergestellt von Nippon Colcoat Kabushiki Kaisha)
- Aus den Ergebnissen der Tabelle 2 versteht sich, daß die Überzugsfilme unter Verwendung der erfindungsgemäßen Überzugsmaterialien, wobei die hydrolysierbare Siliciumverbindung zugegeben wird, hinsichtlich der Bleistifthärte, Lösungsmittelbeständigkeit, wie durch den Zustand von 10facher Xylolabreibung gezeigt, und Adhäsion verbessert sind.
- Unter Verwendung der wärmehärtbaren Zusammensetzung der vorliegenden Erfindung können Überzugsmaterialien ohne Probleme mit schlechtem Geruch erhalten werden und Überzugsfilme mit verbesserten Eigenschaften wie Adhäsion, Lösungsmittelbeständigkeit und Härte können erhalten werden.
Claims (12)
1. Wärmehärtbare Zusammensetzung, umfassend:
(A) ein Hydroxylgruppen enthaltendes Harz mit einem
Hydroxylwert von 10 bis 150 mg KOH/g und einem
zahlenmittleren Molekulargewicht von 1500 bis 40000,
wobei das Hydroxylgruppen enthaltende Harz mindestens eines ist,
das ausgewählt wird aus der aus einem Alkydharz mit einer Öllänge
von nicht mehr als 50 % einem ölfreien Alkydharz, einem
Acrylmodifizierten Alkydharz, einem Acrylharz, einem
Fluorkohlenwasserstoffharz, einem Polyesterpolyol, einem
Polyetherpolyol, einem Polyurethanpolyol und einer
Celluloseverbindung bestehenden Gruppe,
(B) ein hydrolysierbare Silylgruppen enthaltendes Polymer,
(C) eine hydrolysierbare Siliziumverbindung mit Ausnahme von
Methyltrimethoxysilan,
γ-Methacryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilan, Vinyltrimethoxsilan, Methylsilikat und
Ethylsilikat, und
(D) einen Härtungskatalysator.
2. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1. wobei das hydrolysierbare
Silylgruppen enthaltende Polymer (B) ein Polymer mit 50 bis 90
Gew.-% Einheiten ist, die von einem Alkoxysilylvinylmonomer mit
einer polymerisierbaren ungesättigten Doppelbindung und einer
Alkoxysilylgruppe im Molekül stammen.
3. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei das Verhältnis des
Hydroxylgruppen enthaltenden Harzes (A) zum hydrolysierbare
Silylgruppen enthaltenden Polymer (B) 9/1 bis 1/9 nach Gewicht
beträgt
4. Zusammensetzung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, wobei die
hydrolysierbare Siliziumverbindung (C) eine hydrolysierbare
Silanverbindung, ihr Kondensationsprodukt, ihr Peaktionsprodukt
oder eine Mischung davon ist.
5. Zusammensetzung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, wobei die
Komponente (C) mindestens ein Bestandteil ist, der ausgewählt
wird aus der aus einem Silankondensationsprodukt, einem
Peaktionsprodukt eines Silankupplungsmittels mit einer
Aminogruppe und eines Silankupplungsmittels mit einer
Epoxygruppe, einem Reaktionsprodukt eines Silankupplungsmittels
mit einer Aminogruppe und einer Epoxygruppen enthaltenden
Verbindung und einem Reaktionsprodukt eines Silankupplungsmittels
mit einer Epoxygruppe und einem Amin bestehenden Gruppe.
6. Zusammensetzung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, wobei die
hydrolysierbare Siliziumverbindung (C) in einer Menge von 0,01
bis 100 Gewichtsteilen pro 100 Gewichtsteilen der gesamten
Feststoffe der Komponenten (A) und (B) anwesend ist.
7. Zusammensetzung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, wobei die
hydrolysierbare Siliziumverbindung (C) in einer Menge von 0.1 bis
30 Gewichtsteilen pro 100 Gewichtsteilen der gesamten Feststoffe
der Komponenten (A) und (8) anwesend ist.
8. Zusammensetzung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, wobei der
Härtungskatalysator (D) eine Organozinnverbindung, ein saures
Phosphat, ein Peaktionsprodukt eines sauren Phosphats mit einem
Amin, eine gesättigte oder ungesättigte polyvalente Carbonsäure,
ein gesättigtes oder ungesättigtes polyvalantes
Carbonsäureanhydrid eine reaktive Siliziumverbindung, eine
Organotitanatverbindung, eine Organoaluminiumverbindung oder eine
Mischung daraus ist.
9. Zusammensetzung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, wobei der
Härtungskatalysator (D) in einer Menge von 0,1 bis 20
Gewichtsteilen pro 100 Gewichtsteilen der gesamten Feststoffe der
Komponenten (A) und (B) anwesend ist.
10. Zusammensetzung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9, die darüber
hinaus mindestens ein Dehydratisierungsmittel enthält, das
ausgewählt wird aus der aus Methylorthoformiat,
Ethylorthoformiat, Methylorthoacetat und Ethylorthoacetat
bestehenden Gruppe
11. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 10, wobei das
Dehydratisierungsmittel mit einem Dehyratisierungsbeschleuniger
verwendet wird.
12. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 10 oder 11, wobei das
Dehydratisierungsmittel mit einem Alkylalkohol als Lösungsmittel
eingesetzt wird.
