Für die Gewinnung' der Butter ist eine bestandige, gleichmä'fsige Wärme von i6° R. nothwendig; bei langsamem Drehen schwindet dieselbe und mufs durch erneute Arbeit erst wiedergewonnen werden. Wenn die Butter sich abscheidet, mufs das Drehen verlangsamt werden. Die Zeit der Erzeugung der Butter beträgt annähernd eine halbe Stunde. Bei kaltem' oder warmem Wetter wird der Witterung gemäfs der Standort des Butterfasses verändert. Die Umdrehungszahl beträgt anfangs t in der Minute etwa 100 Touren, welche später bis auf 50 Touren verringert w.erden mufs. Bei einer Arbeitsdauer von 30 Minuten beträgt die Gesammtzahl der unter ungünstigsten Verhältnissen notwendigen Umdrehungen 1800 Touren. Es ist demnach wichtig, ,bei einem Triebwerk für Butterfässer den Gang desselben schnell und in einfacher Weise zuverlässig regeln zu können.
