Description
Die Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung mindestens einer
Halbleiterdiode als einziges Lasermodul für ein ophthalmologisches
Gerät gemäß Anspruch 1 und betrifft ein ophthalmologisches Gerät
nach dem Oberbegriff von Anspruch 1 bzw. Anspruch 2.
In der Ophthalmologie werden im wesentlichen zwei Lasertypen
eingesetzt, nämlich Ar/Kr-Gasentladungslaser für die
Koagulation, die mit kontinuierlicher Leistung
(Dauerstrichleistung) im Bereich einiger Watt betrieben
werden, sowie gepulste Nd-YAG-Laser für mikrochirurgische
Eingriffe, die mit Pulsenergien im mJ-Bereich betrieben werden.
Da sich beide Lasertypen jeweils nur in einem Betriebsmodus,
nämlich kontinuierlich oder gepulst betreiben lassen, führt ihr
Einsatz in der Ophthalmologie zu jeweils eigenständigen, mehr-
oder weniger aufwendigen Gerätekonfigurationen.
Kombinationsgeräte, welche sowohl für die Koagulation als auch
für mikrochirurgische Eingriffe geeignet sind, lassen sich nach
dem Stand der Technik nur durch die Zusammenführung der
genannten Lasergeräte an einem ophthalmologischen Gerät,
beispielsweise einer Spaltlampe, verwirklichen und sind
technisch aufwendig und dementsprechend teuer.
Aus der gemäß PatG § 3 (2) Nr. 2 als Stand der Technik
geltenden EP 0 293 126 A1 ist ein ophthalmologisches Gerät
bekannt, bei dem zur medizinischen Einwirkung auf Augengewebe
ein einziges Lasermodul vorgesehen ist, das eine Laserdiode
umfaßt.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, den Anwendungsbereich
für eine Halbleiterdiode als einziges Lasermodul in einem
ophthalmologischen Gerät zu erweitern. Eine weitere Aufgabe der
Erfindung besteht darin, ein ophthalmologisches Gerät mit einem
einzigen, mindestens eine Halbleiterdiode umfassenden
Lasermodul derart zu verbessern, daß es kleinbauend und
technisch weniger aufwendig als die Geräte des Stands der
Technik ist.
Diese Aufgaben werden durch die Merkmale in den Ansprüchen 1, 2
und 3 gelöst.
Halbleiterlaserdioden lassen sich sowohl gepulst als auch
kontinuierlich strahlend betreiben. Die emittierte Wellenlänge
von 770-810 nm ist für Koagulationszwecke am Augenhintergrund
gut geeignet. Dauerstrichleistungen von 200-500 mW sind ohne
technischen Aufwand erreichbar, mit weiteren Hilfsmitteln
können bis 2 Watt erreicht werden. Damit steht für die
Koagulation genügend Leistung zur Verfügung. Im gepulsten Be
trieb sind mit Halbleiterlaserdioden mittlere Leistungen von
1 Watt üblich; bei 10-20 Hz Repetitionsrate und den angestrebten
Pulsdauern von 10 ns entspricht dies Pulsenergien bis zu 50 mJ,
was ausreichend ist für mikrochirurgische Anwendungen im Auge.
Die Betreibung einer Laserdiode sowohl im Dauerstrichbetrieb
als auch gepulst ist über ein Netzgerät möglich. Durch eine
variable Optik kann die Laserstrahlung in die vorderen Augen
medien oder auf den Augenhintergrund fokussiert werden.
Die mit dem Erfindung erzielten Vorteile bestehen insbesondere
darin, daß durch die Verwendung einer einzigen Laserquelle
sowohl für kontinuierliche als auch für gepulste Strahlung ein
besonders günstiger und einfacher Gesamtaufbau des Gerätes
erreicht wird. Da die Laserquelle ohne Verschleißteile, wie
Blitzlampen oder Entladungsröhren, auskommt, sind wartungsfreie
Gesamtsysteme möglich.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung ist in der Zeichnung
dargestellt und wird im folgenden näher beschrieben. Die
einzige Figur zeigt die erfindungsgemäße Anordnung eines
Lasermoduls an einer Spaltlampe.
In der Zeichnung ist mit (6) ein Lasermodul bezeichnet, der
Halbleiterlaserdioden (1) enthält. Das zum Betreiben der
Halbleiterlaserdioden erforderliche Netzgerät ist in der
Zeichnung nicht dargestellt. Es kann ein handelsübliches
geeignetes Netzgerät verwendet werden. An oberster Stelle im
Lasermodul (6) ist eine Halbleiterlaserdiode (1) eingezeichnet.
Die Laserstrahlung wird über Linsen (7a-7d) aufgeweitet und auf
einen Manipulatorspiegel (5) gelenkt, der im Beleuchtungs
strahlengang (8) einer konventionellen Spaltlampe (3) ange
ordnet ist. Mit (9) ist der Handgriff zur Betätigung des Mani
pulatorspiegels (5) bezeichnet, mit (2) das Beobachtungs
mikroskop der Spaltlampe. Das Bezugszeichen (10) kennzeichnet
eine Kopfstütze für den Patienten. Am Ort (11) des Patienten
auges wird der Laserstrahl (4) und der Beleuchtungsstrahl der
Spaltlampe fokussiert.
Claims (3)
1. Verwendung mindestens einer Halbleiterdiode (1) als
einziges Lasermodul (6) für ein ophthalmologisches Gerät
zur Durchführung von mikrochirurgischen Eingriffen mittels
gepulster Laserstrahlung und von Koagulationsbehandlungen
mittels kontinuierlicher Laserstrahlung.
2. Ophthalmologisches Gerät mit einem einzigen, mindestens
eine Halbleiterdiode (1) umfassenden Lasermodul (6),
gekennzeichnet durch ein Netzgerät, welches sowohl einen
Dauerstrichbetrieb als auch einen gepulsten Betrieb der
Halbleiterdiode (1) ermöglicht.
3. Ophthalmologisches Gerät mit einem einzigen, mindestens
eine Halbleiterdiode (1) umfassenden Lasermodul (6), wobei
die Laserstrahlung (4) über einen Manipulatorspiegel (5)
auf das zu behandelnde Auge gelenkt wird, gekennzeichnet
durch einen Handgriff (9) zur Betätigung des
Manipulatorspiegels (5).
