Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Gelenkprothese für ein Hüft- oder Kniegelenk, mit mindestens einem zur Befestigung an einem Knochen vorgesehenen Tragteil, einem damit verbundenen Gelenkteil und einem zwischen Tragteil und Gelenkteil angeordneten federnden Element.
Die Lebensdauer von Gelenkprothesen ist begrenzt. Ein Grund hierfür liegt in den stoßartigen Beanspruchungen der Gelenkteile. Diese führen zum einen dazu, daß die Verankerung eines Tragteiles im Knochen lose wird, zum andern führen sie zu einer gegenseitigen Abnutzung der Gelenkteile. Dabei ist weiter zu berücksichtigen, daß die Kräfte nicht nur stoßartig, sondern auch in erheblicher Höhe auftreten.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Gelenkprothese der eingangs genannten Gattung zu schaffen, die die Wirkung der durch Stöße auftretenden Kräfte sowohl an der Verankerung im Knochen als auch an den Gelenkteilen mindert und gleichzeitig hoch belastbar ist.
Erfindungsgemäß wird diese Aufgabe durch Anwendung der Maßnahmen des Kennzeichens des Anspruchs 1 erreicht. Die erfindungsgemäße Gelenkprothese kann sehr stabil ausgeführt werden, da der die Stöße mildernde elastische Körper innerhalb fester, stabil ausgebildeter Teile angeordnet ist.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung ist anhand der Zeichnung beschrieben. Es zeigt
Fig. 1 eine schematische teilweise aufgebrochene Seitenansicht eines Trag- und eines Gelenkteiles und
Fig. 2 einen Schnitt entlang der Linie II-II.
Das dargestellte Ausführungsbeispiel umfaßt ein schaftförmiges metallisches Tragteil 1, das in den verletzten Knochen implantiert wird. Das freie Ende des Tragteiles 1 weist einen zapfenförmigen Ansatz 2 auf, an dem ein als Kugel ausgebildeter metallischer Gelenkteil 3 befestigbar ist. Der Gelenkteil 3 weist eine Ausnehmung auf, in die ein hutförmiger elastischer Körper 4 eingesetzt ist. Der hutförmige Körper 4 besteht aus einer elastischen Umhüllung innerhalb derer entlang seines Umfanges mehrere Kammern 5 vorgesehen sind, zwischen denen Trennwände 6 angeordnet sind. Im Bereich des Bodens des hutförmigen Körpers 4 ist eine weitere Kammer 7 vorgesehen. Jede der Kammern 5, 7 ist mit einem Flüssigkeits-Gas-Gemisch gefüllt.
Zur Festlegung des hutförmigen Körpers 4 gegenüber dem Gelenkteil 3, weist der hutförmige Körper 4 im Bereich seines Bodens eine äußere Wulst 8 auf. Der hutförmige Körper 4 weist weiterhin eine innere Wulst 9 auf, die in eine entsprechende Nut einer in den Innenraum des hutförmigen Körpers 4 eingesetzten Buchse 10, aus einem harten Material, beispielsweise einem Metall, eingreift. Die Buchse 10 weist einen Boden 11 mit mindestens einem Loch 12 auf, um sie ohne Einschluß einer Luftblase voll in den hutförmigen Körper 4 einführen zu können.
Der zapfenförmige Ansatz hat die Form eines sich schwach nach außen verjüngenden Konus. Die Buchse 10 weist eine entsprechend gestaltete Innenfläche auf, mit der sie auf den zapfenförmigen Ansatz 2 aufgeschoben wird bis sich eine feste Verbindung ergibt.
Wirkt auf den Gelenkteil 3 ein Stoß, so wird das Flüssigkeits-Gas-Gemisch in einzelnen Kammern 5 bzw. 7 komprimiert, so daß zum einen der Gelenkteil 3 etwas nachgeben kann und zum anderen nicht die volle Stoßkraft auf den Tragteil 1 wirkt.
Anstelle eines mit einem Flüssigkeits-Gas-Gemisch gefüllten hutförmigen Körpers kann auch ein entsprechender aus einem insgesamt elastischen Material bestehender hutförmiger Körper Verwendung finden.

Claims (7)

1. Gelenkprothese für ein Hüft- oder Kniegelenk mit mindestens einem zur Befestigung an einem Knochen vorgesehenen Tragteil, einem damit verbundenen Gelenkteil und einem zwischen Tragteil und Gelenkteil angeordneten federnden Element, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Gelenkteil (3) eine Ausnehmung aufweist, in die Ausnehmung ein hutförmiger elastischer Körper (4) eingesetzt ist und der elastische Körper einen zapfenförmigen Ansatz (2) des Tragteiles (1) übergreift.
2. Gelenkprothese nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß in den hutförmigen Körper (4) eine mit einem gelochten Boden (11) versehene Buchse (12) eingesetzt ist, die auf den zapfenförmigen Ansatz aufschiebar ist.
3. Gelenkprothese nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der zapfenförmige Ansatz (2) die Form eines sich nach außen verjüngenden Konus aufweist.
4. Gelenkprothese nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der hutförmige Körper (4) eine äußere Wulst (8) zur Festlegung gegenüber dem Gelenkteil (3) und eine innere Wulst (9) zur Festlegung gegenüber der Buchse (10) aufweist.
5. Gelenkprothese nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der hutförmige Körper (4) einstückig aus einem elastischen Material hergestellt ist.

Gelenkprothese nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der hutförmige Körper (4) aus einer elastischen Umhüllung besteht, in der mehrere durch Trennwände (6) voneinander getrennte Kammern (5, 7) vorgesehen sind und die Kammern (5, 7) mit einem Flüssigkeits-Gas-Gemisch gefüllt sind.
7. Gelenkprothese nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß mehrere, sich jeweils über die Höhe des hutförmigen Körpers (4) entlang seines Umfangs erstreckende Kammern (5) sowie eine die Bodenfläche bildende Kammer (7) vorgesehen sind.
