Description
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung
von Chlorphosphanen der allgemeinen Formel
aus primären oder sekundären Phosphanen der allgemeinen
Formel
oder von Phosphin- bzw. Thiophosphinsäurechloriden der allgemeinen
Formel
aus sekundären Phosphanoxiden bzw. -sulfiden der allgemeinen
Formel
wobei in den allgemeinen Formeln
R¹ die Bedeutung von geradkettigen oder verzweigten Alkylgruppen,
substituierten oder unsubstituierten Aryl-
oder Cycloalkylgruppen mit 1 bis 16, vorzugsweise 1 bis
8 C-Atomen zukommt,
R² eine der Bedeutungen von R¹ besitzt oder Wasserstoff darstellt,
R² und R²
R² eine der Bedeutungen von R¹ besitzt oder Wasserstoff darstellt,
R² und R²
Brückenglieder eines aus 4 bis 6 C-Atomen
bestehenden, bicyclischen Ringsystems sein können,
R³ eine der Bedeutungen von R¹ besitzt,
X R¹ oder Chlor entspricht und
Y Schwefel oder Sauerstoff darstellt.

Weiterhin betrifft die Erfindung als neuen chemischen Stoff
ein Isomergemisch, bestehend aus 9-Cl-9-Phosphabicyclononan
[3.3.1] und 9-Cl-9-Phosphabicyclononan [4.2.1].
Es ist schon versucht worden, primäre und sekundäre Phosphanhalogenide
unter Verwendung von Chlor durch Chlorierung
von organischen Phosphanen herzustellen, die zwei
ersetzbare Wasserstoffatome tragen, welche direkt mit dem
dreiwertigen Phosphor verbunden sind (US-PS 24 37 796 und
24 37 798).
Es hat sich jedoch gezeigt, daß sich diese Versuche nicht
reproduzieren ließen und man gab als Chlorierungsmittel
Phosgen den Vorzug (E. Steiniger, Chem. Ber. 96, 3184
[1963] sowie US-PS 30 74 994 und GB-PS 9 04 086).
Der Nachteil dieser Arbeitsweise ist, daß das Arbeiten
mit dem bekanntlich stark giftigen Phosgen mit vielen
Risiken behaftet ist und häufig zu unbefriedigenden Ausbeuten
führt.
Überraschenderweise wurde gefunden, daß sich diese Nachteile
vermeiden lassen, wenn man bei der Durchführung
des eingangs geschilderten Verfahrens die Ausgangssubstanzen
mit Hexachlorethan bei Temperaturen von 20 bis
180°C, vorzugsweise von 80 bis 120°C, umsetzt. Dabei ist es
sich als vorteilhaft erwiesen, die Umsetzung in Gegenwart
eines Lösungsmittels durchzuführen, wobei sich als solche
insbesondere geradkettige oder verzweigte aliphatische
Kohlenwasserstoffe mit mehr als 5 C-Atomen, Methylcyclohexan
oder aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe wie Benzol,
Toluol oder Xylole eignen. Erfindungsgemäß wird das Arbeiten
mit dem giftigen Phosgen vermieden. Ferner wird bei
der Chlorierung mit Hexachlorethan keine weitergehende
Oxidation von gebildeten Chlorphosphanen zu Phosphoniumverbindungen
des Typs
[R¹, R³ P⁺Cl₂]Cl- bzw. [R¹ P⁺
Cl₃] Cl-
beobachtet.
Außer der Herstellung von primären und sekundären Chlorphosphanen
gelingt unter den erfindungsgemäßen Bedingungen
auch die Darstellung von Phosphinsäure- bzw. Thiophosphinsäurechloriden
aus sek. Posphanoxiden (Phosphansulfiden).
Damit stellt diese Methode eine Alternative zu
bisher ausgeübten Verfahren dar, bei denen sek. Phosphanoxide
mit PCl₅ oder SOCl₂ bzw. sek. Phosphansulfide mit
CCl₄ in Gegenwart von Triethylamin chloriert werden.
Sehr gut gelingt nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren auch
die Herstellung des eingangs genannten neuen Isomerengemisches,
welches als Zwischenprodukt für Arznei- und Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel
geeignet ist.
Der Schmelzpunkt dieses Gemisches von 9-Cl-9-Phosphabicyclononan
aus [3.3.1]- und [4.2.1]-Isomeren beträgt
92-96°C, der Siedepunkt 120-125°C bei 1,33 · 10-2 mbar.
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren soll im folgenden anhand
einiger Beispiele näher erläutert werden:
Bei Raumtemperatur werden 19,8 g (0,1 mol) Dicyclohexylphosphan
zu 26,1 g (0,11 mol) Hexachlorethan getropft.
Nach Beendigung der unter HCl-Entwicklung verlaufenden
exothermen Reaktion wird die Reaktionsmischung 3 Stunden
bei 100°C gerührt. Ausbeuten (³¹P-NMR) : δP = 125,2
((C₆H₁₁)₂PCl, 94 Gew.-%); δP = 194,4 (C₆H₁₁PCl₂, 2 Gew.-%);
δP = 76,7 ((C₆H₁₁)₂P(O)Cl, 4 Gew.-%). Nach Destillation des
Rohprodukts werden 13,7 g (59 Gew.-%) Dicyclohexylchlorphosphan
erhalten (Kp.: 136-138°C/4 mbar).
Unter Erwärmung auf 120°C werden 250 g (1,05 mol) C₂Cl₆
in 100 ml Toluol gelöst. Dazu werden 58 g (0,5 mol)
C₆H₁₁PH₂ getropft, wobei die Temperatur der Reaktionsmischung
zwischen 120°C und 130°C gehalten wird. Man läßt
2 Stunden nachreagieren, entfernt die Leichtsieder bei
Raumtemperatur im Vakuum und destilliert den Rückstand
(δP = 195; C₆H₁₁PCl₂, 96 Gew.-%) im Vakuum.
Ausbeute 69,8 g (75 Gew.-%), Kp. 41-42°C/ < 1 mbar.

Eine Lösung von 53 g (0,25 mol) Dicyclohexylphosphanoxid
in 150 ml Toluol wird innerhalb von 3 Stunden zu einer Lösung
von 60 g (0,25 mol) C₂Cl₆ in 60 ml Toluol getropft.
Die Temperatur im Reaktionsgemisch beträgt dabei 120-
130°C. Eine Stunde nach Beendigung der Gasentwicklung
wird alles Flüchtige bei 50°C im Vakuum entfernt und der
Rückstand aus heißem Benzol umkristallisiert.
Ausbeute: 18,7 g = 30 Gew.-%, Fp: 105°C, δP = 79,7 (C₆D₆).
Analyse: ber. P: 12,5 Gew.-%, gef. P: 12,5 Gew.-%.

Eine Mischung aus 46,4 g Dicyclohexylphosphansulfid und
47,4 g Hexachlorethan wird 6 Stunden auf 140°C erwärmt.
Nach Abziehen des gebildeten Tetrachlorethans im Vakuum
verbleiben 51 g (96 Gew.-%) des Rohproduktes ((C₆H₁₁)₂P(:S)Cl,
δP = 119,1, 99 Gew.-%), das aus Toluol umkristallisiert
wird.
Ausbeute: 43 g = 81 Gew.-%, Schmelzpunkt 89-90°C.

Die Beispiele 5-9 sind in der nachfolgenden Tabelle zusammengefaßt.
Claims (6)
1. Verfahren zur Herstellung von Chlorphosphanen der allgemeinen
Formel
aus primären oder sekundären Phosphanen der allgemeinen
Formel
oder von Phosphin- bzw. Thiophosphinsäurechloriden der
allgemeinen Formel
aus sekundären Phosphanoxiden bzw. -sulfiden der allgemeinen
Formel
wobei in den allgemeinen Formeln
R¹ die Bedeutung von geradkettigen oder verzweigten Alkylgruppen, substituierten oder unsubstituierten Aryl- oder Cycloalkylgruppen mit 1 bis 16, C-Atomen zukommt,
R² eine der Bedeutungen von R¹ besitzt oder Wasserstoff darstellt,
R² und R² Brückenglieder eines aus 4-6 C-Atomen bestehenden, bicyclischen Ringsystems sein können,

dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die Ausgangssubstanzen mit Hexachlorethan bei Temperaturen von 20 bis 180°C umsetzt.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
man die Umsetzung bei Temperaturen von 80 bis 120°C
durchführt.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß man die Umsetzung in Gegenwart eines Lösungsmittels
durchführt.
4. Verfahren nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
man als Lösungsmittel geradkettige oder verzweigte
aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffe mit mehr als 5 C-Atomen,
Methylcyclohexan oder aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe
einsetzt.
5. Verfahren nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
man Benzol, Toluol oder Xylole einsetzt.
6. Isomerengemisch, bestehend aus
9-Cl-9-Phosphabicyclononan[3.3.1] und
9-Cl-9-Phosphabicyclononan [4.2.1].
