Straßenbauämter und Gartenverwaltungen und Forstverwaltungen aber auch andere Unternehmen setzen heute immer mehr Freischneidegeräte und Motorsensen ein, die potentiell Gefährdungen durch weggeschleuderte und beschleunigte Teile vom Schneidwerkzeug oder von auf der Arbeitsfläche liegenden Gegenständen aufweisen. Kleinteile werden am äußeren Umfang der Schneidwerkzeuge bis auf 200 bis max. 300 m/s beschleunigt und sind in der Lage den üblicherweise verwendeten Gesichtsschutz am Schutzhelm zu durchschlagen und besonders Auge irreversible Schäden hervorzurufen.
