Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Metallsäge mit glasharten Zähnen und nur teilweise, und zwar in streifen-, ring- oder punktförmigen Partien gehärtetem Blatt. Diese Metallsäge vermeidet wichtige Nachteile der bisher im Handel befindlichen Sägen, die in der Hauptsache auf zweierlei Art gehärtet sind: nämlich entweder im ganzen Sägenkörper gleichmäßig und nachher goldgelb angelassenThe subject of the invention is a hacksaw with glass-hard teeth and only partially, namely in strip, ring or point-shaped parts hardened sheet. Erstere Säge hat den Nachteil, daß sie leicht bricht, trotzdem sie angelassen ist, dabei aber wegen des Anlassens der Zähne ganz bedeutend schneller stumpf wird und zum Sägen von hartem Material nicht zu verwenden ist. Solche Sägen leisten nach Versuchen gegenüber der vorliegenden mit glasharten Zähnen kaum 1Z9. Die zweite gebräuchliche Art der Härtung ergibt eine Säge, die in den Zähnen goldgelbhart, dagegen im Körper weich ist. Diese Sägen brechen nicht, zeigen aber im Gebrauch als Nachteile: Durchbiegung des weichen Sägenkörpers, Schwanken beim Sägen, schnelle Abnutzung und Schwächung des Blattes, so daß Zahnpartien ausspringen. Ferner lassen sich bei diesen Sägen die Zähne nicht härter als goldgelbhart machen, da härtere wegen des weichen Körpers sofort ausspringen würden. Vorliegende Säge ist im Gegensatz zu den bekannten in der Weise gehärtet, daß die Zähne glashart sind, das Blatt dagegen in streifen- oder punktförmigen Partien abwechselnd weich und abwechselnd gehärtet ist. Die charakteristischen Merkmale vorliegender Metallsäge sind in beiliegender Zeichnung in der Weise dargestellt, daß die gehärteten Partien durch Schraffur kenntlich gemacht sind. Fig. 1 stellt streifenförmige Härtepartien im Sägeblatt, Fig. 2 und 3 punkt- bzw. ringförmige Härtepartien dar. Die Zahnreihe ist natürlich auch gehärtet. Im Gebrauch zeigt vorliegende Säge große Elastizität, biegt sich nicht durch und bricht nicht, trotzdem die Zähne glashart sind und die härtesten Metalle schneiden. Bei anderen Ausführungsformen dieser Erfindung ist der Körper der Säge in punkt- oder ringförmigen Partien gehärtet, der Rest weich, oder umgekehrt.
