Eigenschaften auf, auf Grund derer sie sich vorzüglich als Riech-und/oder Geschmackstoffe eignen.
Die Erfindung betrifft demgemäss auch die Verwendung der
Verbindungen I, insbesondere in praktisch reiner Form oder in Form von Gemischen (mit Ausnahme der natürlichen, I enthaltenden
Gemische) als Riech- und/oder Geschmackstoffe.
Unter praktisch reinen I sollen insbesondere solche I verstanden werden, die frei von den Begleitstoffen sind, wie
sie neben I in natürlichen Extrakten vorliegen. Als praktisch reine I im Sinne der vorliegenden Erfindung sollen z.B.
synthetisch hergestellte I verstanden werden.
Die erfindungsgemäss als Riech- und/oder Geschmackstoffe verwendeten Verbindungen I zeichnen sich durch ein breites
Spektrum von Geruchsnuancen aus, was aus untenstehender Tabelle leicht ersichtlich ist. Die Verbindungen können
demgemäss beispielsweise zur Parfümierung bzw. Aromatisierung von Produkten, wie Kosmetika (Seifen, Zahnpasten, Mundwässern,
Desodorantien, Shampoos, Lotions, Salben, Pudern, etc.), Detergentien, bzw. Nahrungsmitteln, Genussmitteln und
Getränken dienen, wobei die Verbindungen vorzugsweise nicht allein, sondern in Form von Kompositionen mit andern Riech-
bzw. Geschmackstoffen eingesetzt werden.

Die Verbindungen I können auch bei der Rekonstitution von ätherischen Oelen, Absolues oder anderen natürlichen Substraten
- insbesondere solchen, die als olfaktisch relevante Komponenten
Jonone enthalten [z.B. Tabak absolue, Lotuswurzelöl, Veilchen absolue, Passionsfruchtextrakt, Hiiabeerextrakt,
etc.] - Verwendung finden.
Die Verbindungen I können demgemäss bei der Herstellung von Kompositionen und - wie obige Herstellung zeigt unter
Verwendung einer breiten Palette bekannter Riechstoffe, insbesondere zur Herstellung von Kompositionen mit blumigen,
fruchtigen, holzigen, grünen, chyperartigen und cologneartigen Noten, verwendet werden. Bei der Herstellung solcher
Kompositionen können die oben aufgeführten bekannten Riechstoffe nach (dem Parfumeur bekannter) Art und Weise verwendet
werden, wie z.B. aus W.A. Poucher, Perfumes, Cosmetics and
Soaps 2_, 7. Auflage, Chapman und Hall, London, 1974 hervorgehend.
So vermag z.B. der Aethylather j2 blumig-fruchtige Parfüm-Kompositionen
durch zusätzliche Strahlungskraft und Natürlichkeit zu bereichern und kommt damit den Tendenzen der modernen
Parfümerie in willkommener Weise entgegen. Der Methyläther 1_
hebt in frischen, citrusartigen, holzigen Kompositionen die Hesperidennote in vorteilhafter Weise und unterstreicht
zugleich den Holzcharakter auf veredelnde Art. Allgemein kann festgestellt werden, dass 2^ beispielsweise sehr gute
Effekte in ausgeprägt femininen Parfüms zeigt, während 1_
vorteilhaft in maskulinen Kompositionen verwendet wird. Andererseits können unter Zuhilfenahme von 1_ aucn interessante
Blumenkomplexe hergestellt werden und 2^ lässt sich gut
mit Edelholznoten kombinieren.
Die übrigen Jonyläther liegen bezüglich ihrer Effekte in Parfumkompositionen ungefähr zwischen dem Aethyläther 2_
und dem Methyläther 1_ (siehe Tabelle I) .
Die Konzentration der Verbindungen I kann je nach dem Verwendungszweck innerhalb weiter Grenzen variieren, beispielsweise

15 Gew.% (alkoholische Lösungen). In Parfumbasen bzw. Konzentraten
können die Konzentrationen selbstverständlich auch höher liegen. Die Parfumbasen können in üblicher Weise zur
Parfümierung von Eaux de Cologne, Eaux de toilette, Lotionen, Cremes, Shampoos, Seifen, Zahnpasten und Detergentien, etc.
verwendet werden.
Bei niedrigen Dosierungen (z.B. 0,5-2%) von Verbindungen I kann bereits eine deutliche Zunahme der Strahlungskraft
festgestellt werden, ohne dass der Grundcharakter der Komposition wesentlich verändert wird. Bei höheren Dosierungen
(z.B. 10-30%) tritt zusätzlich eine den olfaktischen Eigenschaften
der verwendeten Verbindung entsprechende Modifizierung ein, ohne dass der Eigengeruch des Aethers aber durchdringen
würde.
Als Geschmackstoffe können die Verbindungen I beispielsweise zur Erzeugung bzw. Verbesserung, Verstärkung, Steigerung
oder Modifizierung von Frucht- oder Beerenaromen in Nahrungsmitteln (Joghurt, Süsswaren, etc.)j in Genussmitteln
(Tee, Tabak, etc.) und Getränken (Limonaden etc.) verwendet
werden.
Auch bei ihrer Verwendung als Geschmackstoffe zeichnen sich die Verbindungen I durch belebende Wirkung und Verleihen
natürlicher Noten aus.
Die ausgeprägten geschmacklichen Qualitäten von insbesondere praktisch reinen-, insbesondere von synthetisch
hergestellten Verbindungen I ermöglichen die Verwendung in geringen Konzentrationen. Eine geeignete Dosierung umfasst
beispielsweise den Bereich von 0,01 ppm - 100 ppm, vorzugsweise von 0,1 ppm - 20 ppm im Fertigprodukt, d.h. dem aromatisierten
Nahrungsmittel, Genussmittel oder Getränk.

Bei der Aromatisierung von beispielsweise Tabak kann die Dosierung jedoch auch höher liegen und einen grösseren
Bereich umfassen, beispielsweise den Bereich von 1 bis 1000 ppm, vorzugsweise 50-500 ppm.

Die Verbindungen können auf übliche Weise mit den für Geschmackstoffkompositionen verwendeten Bestandteilen vermischt
bzw. solchen Aromen zugesetzt werden, unter den erfindungsgemäss
verwendeten Aromen werden Geschmackstoffkompositionen verstanden, die sich auf an sich bekannte Art verdünnen bzw. in
essbaren Materialien verteilen lassen. Sie können nach an sich bekannten Methoden in die üblichen Gebrauchsformen, wie
Lösungen, Pasten oder Pulver übergeführt werden. Die Produkte können sprühgetrocknet, vakuumgetrocknet oder lyophilisiert

werden.
Die bei der Herstellung solcher Aromen zweckmässigerweise
verwendeten bekannten Aromastoffe sind entweder in der obigen Zusammenstellung bereits enthalten oder können leicht

Für die Herstellung solcher üblicher Gebrauchsformen
kommen beispielsweise folgende Trägermaterialien, Verdickungsmittel, Geschmackstoffverbesserer, Gewürze und Hilfsingredientien,
etc. in Frage:
Gummi arabicum, Tragant, Salze oder Brauereihefe, Alginate, Carrageen oder ähnliche Absorbentien; Indole,
Maltol, Dienale, Gewürzoleoresine, Raucharomen; Gewürznelken, Diacetyl, Natriumeitrat; Mononatriumglutamat, Dinatriuminosin-5'-monophosphat
(IMP), Dinatriumguanosin-5-phosphat (GMP); oder spezielle Aromastoffe, Wasser, Aethanol, Propylenglykol,
Glycerin.
Die Verbindungen der Formel" I sind, mit Ausnahme des Methyläthers T_ und des Aethyläthers J3 (Ann. Chim. 11, 73-142
[1939]), neue Verbindungen. Die neuen Verbindungen der Formel I bilden deshalb ebenfalls Gegenstand der vorliegenden
Erfindung.·
Die Verbindungen I können auf an sich bekannte Art und Weise, also durch Alkylierung bzw. Alkenylierung der aus den
entsprechenden Alkoholen der Formel

Als Alkylierungsmittel eignen sich besonders Dialkylsulfate
und Alky!bromide. Die Alkoholate stellt man zweckmässig
durch Reaktion der zu Grunde liegenden Alkohole mit einem Alkalimetall, wie z.B. Natrium oder Kalium, oder einem
Alkalimetallhydrid, wie z.B. Natriumhydrid, in einem inerten Lösungsmittel wie Benzol, Toluol, Xylol usw. her.

Zu einer Suspension von 16,7 g (0,38 Mol) Natriumhydrid (55-60%ig in Mineralöl) in 500 ml Benzol gab man eine Lösung
von 60,0 g (0,31 Mol) /3-Jonol in 100 ml Benzol und rührte das Gemisch anschliessend während 20 Stunden bei Rückflusstemperatur.
Die Alkoholatsuspension wurde nun auf 30 abgekühlt und im Verlaufe von 30 Minuten dergestalt mit 50,5 g (0,40 Mol)
Dimethylsulfat versetzt, dass eine Reaktionstemperatur von nicht überschritten wurde. Anschliessend rührte man das Gemisch
während 3 Stunden bei Rückflusstemperatur, kühlte auf Raumtemperatur,
versetzte vorsichtig mit 15 ml Methanol und nach 10 Minuten mit 300 ml 2 η wässriger Natronlauge und rührte
nochmals während 2 Stunden bei Rückflusstemperatur. Die organische
Phase des abgekühlten Reaktionsgemisches wusch man nun
mit Wasser bis zum Neutralpunkt, trocknete mit Natriumsulfat und engte ein. Es verblieben 70,0 g Material, welche in Anwesenheit
von 0,5 g wasserfreier Soda einer Grobdestillation unterworfen wurden. Die Feindestillation des rohen ß-Jonylmethyläthers

temperatur von 50 nicht überschritten wurde. Anschliessend rührte man das Gemisch während 3 Stunden bei Rückflusstemperatur,
kühlte ab und arbeitete gemäss Beispiel 1 auf. Grobdestillation des Rohproduktes (72,0 g) ergab 50,2 g rohes
Produkt, welche anschliessend durch Destillation über eine 20 cm-Widmerkolonne gereinigt wurden. Es resultierten 47,0 g
(^ 66,1%) reiner und olfaktisch guter /3-Jonyläthylather 2^ vom
Sdp. 12O-122°/1O mmHg.
b) Zu einer Suspension von 97,5 g (2,34 Mol) Natriumhydrid
(^ 55-60%ig) in 3 1 Benzol liess man im Verlaufe von 15 Minuten
eine Lösung von 350 g (1,8 Mol) j3-Jonol in 600 ml Benzol zulaufen
und rührte das Gemisch anschliessend während 8 Stunden bei Rückflusstemperatur. Nun kühlte man auf ca. 50° ab· und
versetzte im Verlaufe von 10 Minuten mit 232 g (2,13 Mol) Aethylbromid, rührte das Gemisch während 20 Stunden bei Rückflusstemperatur,
kühlte auf 20 , versetzte vorsichtig mit 50 ml Methanol und nach 20 Minuten mit 1,2 1 Wasser, trennte
die Phasen, wusch die organische Phase mit Wasser bis zum Neutralpunkt, trocknete und engte ein. Die Grobdestillation
des Rohproduktes führte zu 326 g rohem Aether 2 vom Sdp. 12O-128°/1O mmHg. Die Feindestillation ergab schliesslich
274 g (= 68,3%) reinen und olfaktisch guten ß-Jonyl-äthyläther
_2 vom Sdp. 121°/1O mmHg und einem nj?° von 1,4752.

basenkatalysierte Isomerisierung des erhaltenen ß-Ketoallens
(vgl. G. Saucy, R. Marbet HeIv. 50, 1158 (1967)) lieferte in guter Ausbeute das 6,10-Dimethyl-dodeca-3,5,9-trien-2-on,
welches auf bekannte Weise (vgl. H. Rouve, M. Stoll, HeIv. 30, 2216 (1947)) mit 85%iger Phosphorsäure
zum 12/13-Methyl-a-jonon cyclisiert wurde. Die anschliessend
durchgeführte Reduktion mit Lithiumaluminiumhydrid ergab das als Ausgangsmaterial verwendete 12/13-Methyl-a-jonol.
Analog Beispiel 1 wurde aus 60,1 g (0,29 Mol) 12/13-Methyl-a-jonol,
14,8 g (0,354 Mol) Natriumhydrid (55-60%ig), 47,1 g (0,373 Mol) Dimethylsulfat und der entsprechenden

Die Cyclisierung des ö-Aethyl^^O-dimethylundeca-3,5,9-trien-2-ons
(Herstellung analog Beispiel 12) mit 85%iger Phosphorsäure führte zu einem Rohprodukt, das
>90% 3,11-Dimethyl-a-jonon und 3,11-Dimethyl-Y-jonon (2 Isomere)
im ungefähren Verhältnis von 7:3 enthielt. Die anschliessend durchgeführte Reduktion mit Lithiumaluminiumhydrid ergab
das als Ausgangsmaterial verwendete 3,11-Dimethyl-ajonol,
begleitet von 3,11-Dimethyl-y-jonol.

eine eindeutige Verbesserung feststellbar, indem die für Himbeere typische, fruchtige Note im behandelten Zucker-
sirup viel stärker

Beispiel 27 /3-Jonyläthyläther als Tabakzusatz
100 g Maryland-Tabak wurden gleichmässig mit 3 ml
einer l%igen Lösung von /3-Jonyläthyläther in Aethanol besprüht und anschliessend während 24 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur
gelagert. Die aus dem so behandelten Tabak hergestellten Zigaretten zeigten beim Verrauchen im Gegensatz zur
unbehandelten, der Blindprobe, eine angenehme holzig-blumige Note. Das Aroma des Rauches wirkte zudem milder und abgerundeter.
Beispiel 28 Dihydro-/3-jonyläthyläther als Tabakzusatz
100 g Maryland-Tabak wurden - wie in Beispiel 27 beschrieben - mit 2 ml einer 1 %igen Lösung von Dihydro-ßjonyläthyläther
in Aethanol behandelt. Die aus dem so behandelten Tabak hergestellten Zigaretten zeigten beim Verrauchen
- im Gegensatz zur Blindprobe - eine angenehme cedrig-holzige Note, begleitet von einer leicht blumigen
Note. Das Aroma des Rauchs wirkte wiederum weicher und abgerundeter.

Claims (23)
- PatentansprücheVlJRiech- und/oder Geschmackstoffkompositionen, gekennzeichnet durch einen Gehalt an einer Verbindung der Formel1 2worin R C, .-Alkyl oder C2_4-Alkenyl, R Wasser-Wasserstoff oder Methyl und R·^ Methyl oder Aethyl bedeuten, und die gestrichelte Linie in der Seitenkette eine fakultative Bindung und eine der gestrichelten Linien im Ring eine zusätzliche Bindung darstellen.
- 2. Komposition gemäss Anspruch 1, gekennzeichnet durch einen Gehalt an 2,6,6-Trimethyl-l-(3-methoxy-l-butenyl)-cyclohex-1-en.
- 3. Komposition gemäss Anspruch 1, gekennzeichnet durch einen Gehalt an 2,6,6-Trimethyl-l-(3-äthoxy-l-butenyl)-cyclohex-1-en.
- 4. Komposition gemäss Anspruch 1, gekennzeichnet durch einen Gehalt an 2,6,6-Trimethyl-l-(3-äthoxy-2-methyl-l-butenyl) cyclohex-1-en.
- 5. Komposition gemäss Anspruch 1, gekennzeichnet durch einen Gehalt an 2,6,6-Trimethyl-l-(3-methoxy-2-methy1-1-butenyl)-cyclohex-2-en.809882/0905ORIGINAL INSPECTED—Mr-

Verfahren zur Herstellung von neuen Kompositionen gemäss Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man bekannten Riech- und/oder Geschmackstoffkompositionen eine Verbindung der Formel.R2 Ii1 2worin R C, .-Alkyl oder C-.-Alkenyl, R Wasserstoff oder Methyl und R^ Methyl oder AethyI bedeuten und die gestrichelte Linie in der Seitenkette eine fakultative Bindung und eine der gestrichelten Linien im Ring eine zusätzliche Bindung darstellen,zusetzt, oder dass man eine Verbindung der Formel I mit als Bestandteil von Riech- und/oder Geschmackstoffkompositionen geeigneten natürlichen oder synthetischen Verbindungen oder Gemischen vermischt.809882/09052827638
