Amino- und hydroxyl- bzw. mercaptogruppenhaltige Polymere
und ihre Verwendung zur Herstellung von Polyurethankunststoffen
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft neue Polymere, die sowohl Amino- als auch Hydroxyl- und/oder
Mercaptogruppen enthalten. Die erfindungsgemäßen Produkte werden durch Umsetzung höhermolekularer Polyole und/oder
Polythiole mit weniger als äquivalenten Mengen an Isatosäureanhydrid
erhalten.
Bei der Umsetzung von nucleophilen Reagenzien mit Isatosäureanhydrid
wurde gefunden (R. P. Staiger, E. M. Miller, J. Org. ehem. 24, 1214 (1953); ibid., 1§, 1427 (1953)), daß
die Reaktion auf zwei Wegen verlaufen kann:

So entsteht z.B. mit aliphatischen Hydroxy!verbindungen nach
dem Weg (A) ein Anthranilsaurederivat, nach (B) eine Urethan-o-benzoesäure. Das Verhältnis der beiden Reaktionsprodukte
hängt stark von den Reaktionsbedingungen, insbesondere von der Art des nucleophilen Reagens, des Katalysators,
der Temperatur usw. ab.
Die Anwesenheit freier Carboxylgruppen in den Verfahrensprodukten wirkt sich oft sehr störend auf die Qualität der
aus diesen Produkt-Gemischen durch weitere Umsetzungen hergestellten
Polymeren, z.B. Polyurethankunststoffen gemäß DOS 2 019 432 aus: Abgesehen von den möglichen Nebenreaktionen
der Carboxylgruppen, z.B. bei der Reaktion mit Isocyanaten, bewirken diese eine deutliche schlechtere
Hydrolysebeständigkeit der Polymeren. Es ist deshalb wünschenswert, die Zahl der Carboxylgruppen in den Umsetzungsprodukten
aus Polyolen bzw. Polythiolen und Isatosäureanhydrid möglichst niedrig zu halten.
In dem Verfahren der oben erwähnten DOS 2 019 432 werden Verbindungen, die η OH- und/oder SH-Gruppen enthalten und
ein Molekulargewicht zwischen 600 und 10000 aufweisen, mit mindestens η Äquivalenten an Isatosäureanhydrid in Gegenwart
von Basen zur Reaktion gebracht.
Es wurde jedoch gefunden, daß bei diesem Verfahren der Anteil der oben beschriebenen Nebenreaktion B relativ hoch
ist. Wie die folgende Tabelle 1 zeigt, werden bei der Umsetzung von Polyäthern mit äquivalenten Mengen an Isatosäureanhydrid
bei etwa 11O0C in Gegenwart verschiedener Katalysatoren
Produkte erhalten, in welchen das Verhältnis von Amino-zu Säuregruppen (im folgenden A/S-Verhältnis genannt)
in keinem Fall größer als 8 : 1 ist.

Es wurde nun überraschenderweise gefunden, daß die oben beschriebene
Nebenreaktion B weitgehend unterdrückt wird, so daß man Produkte erhält, in welchen bei gleichem Anteil an Aminogruppen
die absolute Menge an Carboxylgruppen wesentlich niedriger (d.h. also das A/S-Verhältnis wesentlich höher) ist
als in den nach DOS 2 019 432 hergestellten modifizierten Polyäthern, wenn man Polyole bzw. Polythiole mit einer solchen
Menge an Isatosäureanhydrid, gegebenenfalls in Anwesenheit von organischen oder anorganischen Katalysatoren, umsetzt, die
wesentlich kleiner ist als die Gesamtmenge der Hydroxyl- und/oder Mercaptogruppen.
Überraschenderweise zeigte sich auch, daß bei der Verwendung
solcher nur teilweise "verschlüsselter" Polyole, die neben Aminogruppen noch freie Hydroxyl- bzw. Mercaptogruppen enthalten,
als Ausgangskomponenten für die Herstellung von Polyurethanen Kunststoffe erhalten werden, die merklich bessere
mechanische Eigenschaften aufweisen als solche, die aus Produkten gemäß DOS 2 019 432 erhalten wurden.
Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung sind somit Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel
in welcher
X für Sauerstoff oder Schwefel steht,
R einen k-wertigen Rest darstellt, wie er durch Entfernung
von k Hydroxyl- und/oder Mercaptogruppen aus einem Polyalkylen(thio)ätherpoly(thi)öl mit η Hydroxy I-
und/oder Mercaptogruppen und einem Molekulargewicht zwischen 1300 und 60000 entsteht,
η eine ganze Zahl von 2 bis 8 bedeutet und

Gegenstand der Erfindung ist auch ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von gegebenenfalls zellförmigen Polyurethankunststoffen
aus Polyisocyanaten, höhermolekularen Verbindungen mit gegenüber Isocyanaten reaktiven Wasserstoffatomen sowie
gegebenenfalls Kettenverlängerungsmitteln, Treibmitteln, Katalysatoren und anderen an sich bekannten Zusatzstoffen, welches
dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß als höhermolekulare Verbindungen mit gegenüber Isocyanaten reaktiven Wasserstoffatomen
die erfindungsgemäßen modifizierten Poly(thio)äther
(gegebenenfalls im Gemisch mit an sich bekannten höhermolekularen Polyhydroxyverbindungen sowie gegebenenfalls im
Gemisch mit niedermolekularen, mit Isatosäureanhydrid modifizierten Polyhydroxyverbindungen) eingesetzt werden.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Produktgemische werden durch Reaktion von
Polyolen und/oder Polythiolen mit 5 bis 70 %, vorzugsweise 10 bis 40 %, der äquivalenten Menge (bez. auf die Gesamtmenge
der Hydroxyl- und/oder Mercaptogruppen) an Isatosäureanhydrid,
gegebenenfalls in Anwesenheit von basischen organischen und/ oder anorganischen Katalysatoren bei Temperaturen von 0 bis
2000C, vorzugsweise 20 bis 130°C, hergestellt. Die Reaktion
kann gegebenenfalls auch in Gegenwart von inerten Lösungsmitteln durchgeführt werden. Als basische Katalysatoren, deren
Menge in weiten Grenzen variieren kann, werden vorzugsweise Ν,Ν-Dimethylbenzylamin, N, N, Nf , N'-Tetramethylguanidin,
permethyliertes Diäthylentriamin, permethyliertes N-(2-Aminoäthyl)-piperazin,
N,N'-Endoathylenpiperazin,Natriumhydroxid,
Kaliumhydroxid und Calciumhydroxid verwendet. Die Reaktion wird bis zur beendeten Gasentwicklung durchgeführt, sie dauert
je nach Reaktionsbedingungen 1 bis 20 Stunden. Danach wird das entstandene Produktgemisch, gegebenenfalls unter Zugabe
von inerten Lösungsmitteln, filtriert und entweder nach evtl. Entfernen des Lösungsmittels direkt für die Herstellung von
Polyurethankunststoffen weiterverwendet oder durch Behandlung mit CO2 (gegebenenfalls nach Zugabe von inerten Lösungsmitte In) t Ausschütteln mit Wasser und Trocknen im Vakuum rein
erhalten.

Für die Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Produkte geeignete
Ausgangsverbindungen sind beliebige Polyätherpolyole
bzw. Polythioäther-polythiole oder auch sowohl Polyätherals
auch Polythioäthersegmente aufweisende Polyole bzw. Polythiole des Molekulargewichtsbereichs 1300 bis 60000, vorzugsweise
1500 bis 6000. Bevorzugt werden jedoch schwefelfreie Polyätherpolyole, insbesondere Polymerisate des
Äthylenoxids, Propylenoxids oder Tetrahydrofurans bzw. Äthylenoxid-, Propylenoxid- und Butylenglykol-1,4-Einheiten
in beliebiger Sequenz aufweisende Polyätherpolyole verwendet. Derartige Polyätherpolyole sind nach bekannten
Methoden zugänglich. So erfolgt z.B. die Herstellung der Polyalkylenpolyäther vorzugsweise durch Polymerisation
(beispielsweise katalysiert durch BF.,) der entsprechenden
Alkylenoxide wie z.B. Äthylenoxid oder Propylenoxid in Gegenwart von geeigneten Startermolekülen wie Wasser, niedermolekularen
Polyolen oder mindestens zwei Stickstoff-Wasserstoff -Bindungen aufweisenden niedermolekularen Aminen.
Geeignete, als Startermoleküle zu verwendende niedermolekulare Polyole sind z.B. Äthylenglykol, 1,2-Propandiol,
Tetramethylendiol, Hexamethylendiol, Glycerin, Trimethylolpropan,
Pentaerythrit, Rohrzucker usw. Bevorzugt werden beim erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren di-oder trifunktionelle Polyäther
eingesetzt,wie sie z.B. durch Reaktion der Alkylenoxide mit
2- bzw. 3- wertigen Vertretern der genannten niedermolekularen Polyole erhalten werden. Als Startermoleküle weiterhin geeignet
sind z.B. auch niedermolekulare, mindestens zwei Stickstoff-Wasserstoff-Bindungen aufweisende Amine, wie z.B.
Ammoniak, Methylamin, Butylamin, Anilin, Diaminobenzol,
Diaminotoluol usw. Bevorzugt werden weiters stickstoffhaltige Polyole als Starter verwendet, insbesondere Triäthanolamin
und N-Methyldiäthanolamin.

Werden derartige stickstoffhaltige Polyäther mit Isatosäureanhydrid
-umgesetzt, so ist eine Mitverwendung von Katalysatoren in der Regel nicht erforderlich. Geeignete Polythioäther
bzw. Polythiomischäther sind insbesondere die Kondensationsprodukte von Thiodiglykol mit sich selbst oder mit den oben
genannten Polyolen.
Erfindungsgemäß besonders bevorzugt werden schwefelfreie trifunktionelle Polyäther mit Isatosäureanhydrid modifiziert.
Es ist erfindungsgemäß auch möglich, bei der Modifizierung der
Poly(thio)äther niedermolekulare Polyhydroxy!verbindungen
(Molekulargewicht -^130O) anteilsweise (0 bis 90 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise
0 bis 60 Gew.-%, bezogen auf Gesamtmenge von Polyhydroxylverbindungen) mitzuverwenden. Dabei kommen sowohl niedermolekulare
Polyäther als auch die oben als Startermoleküle erwähnten Polyole in Frage. Bevorzugt sind in diesem Zusammenhang
wieder Verbindungen wie Triäthanolamin und N-Methyldiäthanolamin
bzw. ihre Äthoxylierungs- und Propoxylierungsprodukte, weil sie gleichzeitig als Katalysator wirken.
Als während der Reaktion bzw. bei der Aufarbeitung des Reaktionsproduktes
einzusetzende Lösungsmittel kommen beliebige, zur Lösung der Ausgangs- und Endprodukte geeignete inerte
Lösungsmittel in Frage. Als Beispiel seien angeführt: Methylenchlorid, Trichloräthylen, Tetrahydrofuran, Dioxan,
Methyl-äthylketon, Methylisobutylketon, Essigsäureäthylester und Essigsäureisobutylester.
Die Herstellung von Kunststoffen aus den neuen erfindungsgemäßen Produkten mit Hilfe des Isocyanat-Polyadditionsverfahrens
erfolgt nach den Methoden, wie sie in der Polyurethanchemie an sich bekannt sind.

Die Umsetzung der neuen Verbindung mit Polyisocyanaten kann auch unter Mitverwendung aller in der Polyurethanchemie
bekannten Zusatzstoffe wie z.B. Treibmittel, Katalysatoren, flammhemmender Substanzen usw. erfolgen.
Als erfindungsgemäß einzusetzende Ausgangskomponenten kommen aliphatische, cycloaliphatische, araliphatische, aromatische
und heterocyclische Polyisocyanate in Betracht, wie sie
z. B. von W. Siefken in Justus Liebigs Annalen der Chemie,
562, Seiten 75 bis 136, beschrieben werden, beispielsweise
Äthylen-diisocyanat, 1,4-Tetramethylendiisocyanat, 1,6-Hexamethylendiisocyanat,
1,12-Dodecandiisocyanat, Cyclobutan-1,3-diisocyanat,
Cyclohexan-1,3- und -1,4-diisocyahat sowie
beliebige Gemische dieser Isomeren, i-Isocyanato-3,3,5-trimethyl-5-isocyanatomethyl-cyclohexan
(DAS 1 202 785, amerikanische Patentschrift 3 401 190), 2,4- und 2,6-Hexahydrotoluylendiisocyanat
sowie beliebige Gemische dieser Isomeren, Hexahydro-1,3- und/oder A ,4-phenylen-diisocyanat,

Es ist auch möglich, die bei der technischen Isocyanatherstellung anfallenden Isocyanatgruppen aufweisenden Destillationsrückstände, gegebenenfalls gelöst in einem oder mehreren
der vorgenannten Polyisocyanate, einzusetzen. Ferner ist es möglich, beliebige Mischungen der vorgenannten Polyisocyanate
zu verwenden.

Besonders bevorzugt werden in der Regel die technisch leicht
zugänglichen Polyisocyanate, z.B. das 2,4- und 2,6-Toluylendiisocyanat sowie beliebige Gemische dieser Isomeren (11TDI"),
Polyphenyl-polymethylen-polyisocyanate, wie sie durch Anilin-Formaldehyd-Kondensation und anschließende Phosgenierung hergestellt werden ("rohes MDI") und Carbodiimidgruppen, Urethangruppen, Allophanatgruppen, Isocyanuratgruppen, Harnstoffgruppen ader Biuretgruppen aufweisenden Polyisocyanate ("modifizierte Polyisocyanate").
Neben den erfindungsgemäßen modifizierten Polyäthern können bei
der Umsetzung mit dem Polyisocyanat anteilig gegebenenfalls auch an sich bekannte höhermolekulare Polyhydroxy!verbindungen
in einer Menge von O bis 100 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise 0 bis 50 Gew-%
(bezogen auf modifizierten Polyäther) mitverwendet werden. Es sind dies neben den oben beschriebenen Poly(thio)äthern z.B.
Polyester, Polyesteramide, Polyätherester und Polycarbonate der an sich bekannten Art mit 2 bis 8, vorzugsweise 2 oder 3,
Hydroxylgruppen und einem Molekulargewicht von 500 - 60000, vorzugsweise 800 bis 6000.
Vertreter dieser erfindungsgemäß gegebenenfalls zu verwendenden
Verbindungen sind z.B. in High Polymers, Vol. XVI, "Polyurethanes, Chemistry and Technology", verfaßt von Saunders-Frisch,
Interscience Publishers, New York, London, Band I, 1962, Seiten 32-42 und Seiten 44-54 und Band II, 1964, Seiten 5-6 und
198 - 199, sowie im Kunststoff-Handbuch Band VII, Vieweg-Höchtlen,
Carl-Hanser-Verlag, München, 1966, z.B.auf den Seiten 45 bis 71, beschrieben.
Wenn, wie oben beschrieben, bei der Modifizierung mit Isatosäureanhydrid
auch niedermolekulare Polyhydroxyverbindungen mitverwendet werden, dann entstehen Produktgemische, die neben den
erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen auch teilweise modifizierte niedermolekulare Polyole (in einer Menge von etwa 0 bis 95 Gew.-%,
vorzugsweise 0 bis 70 Gew.-%, besonders bevorzugt 0 bis 50 Gew.-%,

bezogen auf Gesamtgemisch) enthalten. Selbstverständlich können erfindungsgemäß auch derartige Gemische bei der Herstellung von
Polyurethankunststoff en eingesetzt werden.
Bei der Herstellung von elastomeren Kunststoffen erfolgt der Aufbau der Polyaddukte vorzugsweise unter Mitverwendung
niedermolekularer, mindestens zwei gegenüber Isocyanatgruppen aktive Wasserstoffatome aufweisender Verbindungen. Derartige

Bevorzugt werden jedoch bei der Herstellung von Kunststoffen aus Polyisocyanaten und den neuen erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen
niedermolekulare diprimäre Diamine als Kettenverlängerer eingesetzt.
Erfindungsgemäß geeignete aliphatische Diamine sind beispielsweise
Äthylendiamin,1,4-Tetramethylendiamin, 1,11-Undecamethylendiamin,
1,12-Dodecamethylendiamin sowie deren Gemische, 1-Amino-3,3,5-trimethyl-5-aminomethylcyclohexan,
2,4- und 2,6-Hexahydrotoluylendiamin sowie deren Gemische, Perhydro-2,4'-
und 4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethan, p-Xylylendiamin, Bis-(3-aminopropyl)-methylamin,
usw. Auch Hydrazin und substituierte Hydrazine, z.B. Methylhydraζin, Ν,Ν'-Dimethylhydrazin
und deren Homologe sowie Säuredihydrazide kommen erfindungsgemäß in Betracht, z.B. Carbodihydrazid, Oxalsäuredihydrazid,
die Dihydrazide von Malonsäure, Bernsteinsäure, Glutarsäure, Adipinsäure, ß-Methy!adipinsäure, Sebazinsäure, Hydracrylsäure
und Terephthalsäure, Semicarbazido-alkylen-hydrazide wie z.B. ß-Semicarbazido-propionsäurehydrazid (DOS 1 770 591),
Semicarbazido-alkylencarbazinester wie z.B. 2-Semicarbazidoäthyl-carbazinester

Als Beispiele für aromatische Diamine seien Bisanthranilsäureester
gemäß den Deutschen OffenlegungsSchriften 2 040 644
und 2 160 590, 3,5- und 2,4-Diaminobenzoesäureester gemäß DOS 2 025 900, die in den Deutschen Offenlegungsschriften
1 803 635, 2 040 650 und 2160 589 beschriebenen estergruppenhaltigen Diamine, sowie 3,3'-Dichlor-4,4'-diamino-diphenylmethan,
Toluylendiamin, 4,4'-Diaminodiphenylmethan und 4,4'-Diaminodiphenyldisulfid
genannt.

Als Kettenverlängerungsmittel können erfindungsgemäß auch
Verbindungen wie i-Mercapto-3-aminopropan, gegebenenfalls substituierte Aminosäuren, z.B. Glycin, Alanin, Valin, Serin
und Lysin sowie gegebenenfalls substituierte Dicarbonsäuren, beispielsweise Bernsteinsäure, Adipinsäure, Phthalsäure,
4-Hydroxyphthalsäure und 4-Aminophthalsäure verwendet werden.
Ferner können gegenüber Isocyanaten monofunktionelle Verbindungen in Anteilen von 0,01 bis 10 Gew.-%, bezogen auf
Polyurethanfeststoff, als sogenannte Kettenabbrecher mitverwendet werden. Derartige monofunktionelle Verbindungen
sind z.B. Monoamine wie Butyl- und Dibutylamin, Octylamin, Stearylamin, N-Methylstearylamin, Pyrrolidin, Piperidin und
Cyclohexylamin, Monoalkohole wie Butanol, 2-Äthylhexanol,
Octanol, Dodecanol, die verschiedenen Amylalkohole, CycloT hexanol, Athylenglykolmonoäthylather usw.
Erfindungsgemäß können Wasser und/oder leicht flüchtige organische
Substanzen als Treibmittel mitverwendet werden. Als organische Treibmittel kommen z.B. Aceton, Äthylacetat,
halogensubstituierte Alkane wie Methylenchlorid, Chloroform, Äthyliden —chlorid, Vinylidenchlorid,
Monofluortrichlormethan, Chlordifluormethan, Dichlordifluormethan,
ferner Butan, Hexan, Heptan oder Diäthyläther infrage.
Eine Treibwirkung kann auch durch Zusatz von bei Temperaturen über Raumtemperatur unter Abspaltung von Gasen,
beispielsweise von Stickstoff, sich zersetzenden Verbindungen, z.B. Azoverbindungen wie Azoisobuttersäurenitril, erzielt
werden. Weitere Beispiele für Treibmittel sowie Einzelheiten über die Verwendung von Treibmitteln sind im Kunststoff-Handbuch,
Band VII, herausgegeben von Vieweg und Höchtlen, Carl-Hanser-Verlag, München 1966, z.B. auf den Seiten 108 und
109, 453 bis 455 und 507 bis 510 beschrieben.

Erfindungsgemäß werden ferner oft Katalysatoren mitverwendet. Als mitzuverwendende Katalysatoren kommen solche der
an sich bekannten Art infrage, z.B. tertiäre Amine, wie
Triäthylamin, Tributylamin, N-Methyl-morpholin, N-Äthyl-morpholin,
N-Cocomorpholin , N,N,N1,N'-Tetramethyl-äthylendiamin,
1,4-Diaza-bicyclo-(2,2,2)-octan, N-Methyl-N'-dimethylaminoäthyl-piperazin,
Ν,Ν-Dimethylbenzylamin, BiS-(N,N-diäthylaminoäthyl)-adipat,
N,N-Diäthylbenzylamin, Pentamethyldiäthylentriamin,
Ν,Ν-Dimethylcyclohexylamin, N,N,N',N1-Tetramethyl-1,3-butandiamin,
Ν,Ν-Dimethyl-ß-phenyläthylamin,
1,2-Dimethylimidazol,^ 2-Methylimidazol. Als Katalysatoren
kommen auch an sich bekannte Mannichbasen aus sekundären Aminen, wie Dimethylamin, und Aldehyden, vorzugsweise
Formaldehyd, oder Ketonen wie Aceton, Methyläthylketon, Cyclohexanon und Phenolen, wie Phenol, Nonylphenol, Bisphenol
in Frage.
Gegenüber Isocyanatgruppen aktive Wasserstoffatome aufweisende tertiäre Amine als Katalysatoren sind z.B.
Triäthanolamin, Triisopropanolamin, N-Methyldiäthanolamin, N-Äthyl-diäthanolamin, N, N-Dimethyl-äthanolamin,
sowie deren Umsetzungsprodukte mit Alkylenoxiden, wie Propylenoxid und/oder Ithylenoxid.
Als Katalysatoren kommen ferner Silaamine mit Kohlenstoff-Silizium-Bindungen,
wie sie z.B. in der deutschen Patentschrift 1 229 290 (entsprechend der amerikanischen Patentschrift
3 620 984) beschrieben sind, in Frage, z.B. 2,2,4-Trimethyl-2-silamorpholin.
1,3-Diäthylaminomethyl-tetramethyl-disiloxan.
Als Katalysatoren kommen auch stickstoffhaltige Basen wie Tetraalkylammoniumhydroxide, ferner Alkalihydroxide wie
Natriumhydroxid, Alkaliphenolate wie Natriumphenolat oder Alkalialkoholate wie Natriummethylat in Betracht. Auch Hexahydrotriazine
können als Katalysatoren eingesetzt werden.

Erfindungsgemäß können auch organische Metallverbindungen, insbesondere organische Zinnverbindungen,als Katalysatoren
verwendet werden.
Als organische Zinnverbindungen kommen vorzugsweise Zinn(II)-salze von Carbonsäuren wie Zinn(ll)-acetat, Zinn(ll)-octoat,
Zinn(Ii)-äthylhexoat und Zinn(II)-laurat und die Zinn(lV)-verbindungen,
z.B. Dibutylzinnoxid, Dibutylzinndichlorid,
Dibutylzinndiacetat, Dibutylzinndilaurat, Dibutylzinnmaleat oder Dioctylzinndiacetat in Betracht. Selbstverständlich
können alle obengenannten Katalysatoren als Gemische eingesetzt
werden.
Weitere Vertreter von erfindungsgemäß zu verwendenden Katalysatoren sowie Einzelheiten über die Wirkungsweise der Katalysatoren sind im Kunststoff-Handbuch, Band VII, herausgegeben von Vieweg und Höchtlen, Carl-Hanser-Verlag, München
1966, z.B. auf den Seiten 96 bis 102 beschrieben.
Die Katalysatoren werden in der Regel in einer Menge zwischen etwa 0,001 und 10 Gew.-%, bezogen auf die erfindungsgemäßen
Verbindungen, eingesetzt.
Emulgatoren und Schaumstabilisatoren ,mitverwendet werden.
Als Emulgatoren kommen z.B. die Natriumsalze von Ricinusölsulfonaten oder Salze von Fettsäuren
mit Aminen wie ölsaures Diäthylamin oder stearinsaures Diäthanolamin infrage. Auch Alkali-oder Ammoniumsalze von
Sulfonsäuren wie etwa von Dodecylbenzolsulfonsäure oder Dinaphthylmethandisulfonsäure oder von Fettsäuren wie
Ricinolsäure oder von polymeren Fettsäuren können als oberflächenaktive Zusatzstoffe mitverwendet werden.

Als Schaumstabilisatoren kommen vor allem Polyäthersiloxane,
speziell wasserlösliche Vertreter, infrage. Diese Verbindungen
sind im allgemeinen so aufgebaut, daß ein Copolymerisat aus Ethylenoxid und Propylenoxid mit einem Polydimethylsiloxanrest
verbunden ist. Derartige Schaumstabilisatoren sind z.B. in den amerikanischen Patentschriften 2 834 748 , 2 917
und 3 629 308 beschrieben.
Erfindungsgemäß können ferner auch Reaktionsverzögerer, z.B. saueqfc-eagierende Stoffe wie Salzsäure oder organische
Säurehalogenide, ferner Zellregler der an sich bekannten Art wie Paraffine oder Fettalkohole oder Dimethylpolysiloxane
sowie Pigmente oder Farbstoffe und Flammschutzmittel der an sioh bekannten Art, z.B. Tris-chloräthylphosphat, Trikresylphosphat
oder Ammoniumphosphat und -polyphosphat, ferner Stabilisatoren gegen Alterungs- und Witterungseinflüsse, Weichmacher und
fungistatisch und bakteriostatisch wirkende Substanzen, Füllstoffe wie Bariumsulfat, Kieselgur, Ruß oder Schlämmkreide mitverwendet werden.
Weitere Beispiele von gegebenenfalls erfindungsgemäß mitzuverwendenden
oberflächenaktiven Zusatzstoffen und Schaumstabilisatoren sowie Zellreglern, Reaktionsverzögerern,
Stabilisatoren, flammhemmenden Substanzen, Weichmachern, Farbstoffen und Füllstoffen sowie fungistatisch und bakterio
statisch wirksamen Substanzen sowie Einzelheiten über Verwendungs- und Wirkungsweise dieser Zusatzmittel sind im
Kunststoff-Handbuch, Band VI, herausgegeben von Vieweg und
Höchtlen, Carl-Hanser-Verlag, München 1966, z.B. auf den Seiten 103 bis 113 beschrieben.
Die Reaktionskomponenten werden erfindungsgemäß nach dem an sich bekannten Einstufenverfahren, dem Prepolymerverfahren oder dem Semiprepolymerverfahren zur Umsetzung gebracht, w»bai man sich oft maschineller Einrichtungen bedient,

z.B. solcher, die in der amerikanischen Patentschrift 2 764 565 beschrieben werden. Einzelheiten über Verarbeitungseinrichtungen,
die auch erfindungsgemäß infrage kommen,
werden im Kunststoff-Handbuch, Band VI, herausgegeben von
Vieweg und Höchtlen, Carl-Hanser-Verlag, München 1966, z.B. auf den Seiten 121 bis 205 beschrieben.
Bei der Schaumstoffherstellung wird erfindungsgemäß die Verschäumung oft in Formen durchgeführt. Dabei wird das
Reaktionsgemisch in eine Form eingetragen. Als Formmaterial kommt Metall, z.B. Aluminium, oder Kunststoff,
z.B. Epoxidharz, in Frage. In der Form schäumt das schäumfähige Reaktionsgemisch auf und bildet den Formkörper.
Die Formverschäumung kann dabei so durchgeführt werden, daß
das Formteil an seiner Oberfläche Zellstruktur aufweist, es kann aber auch so durchgeführt werden, daß das Formteil eine
kompakte Haut und einen zelligen Kern· aufweist. Erfindungsgemäß kann man in- diesem Zusammenhang so vorgehen, daß man
in die Form so viel schäumfähiges Reaktionsgemisch einträgt, daß der gebildete Schaumstoff die Form gerade ausfüllt. Man
kann aber auch so arbeiten, daß man mehr schäumfähiges Reaktionsgemisch in die Form einträgt, als zur Ausfüllung
des Forminneren mit Schaumstoff notwendig ist. Im letztgenannten Fall wird somit unter "overcharging" gearbeitet;
eine derartige Verfahrensweise ist z.B. aus den amerikanischen i'atentschriften 1 178 490 und 3 182 104 bekannt.
Bei der Formverschäumung werden vielfach an sich bekannte
"äußere Trennmittel", wie Siliconöle, mitverwendet. Man kann aber auch sogenannte "innere Trennmittel", gegebenenfalls
im Gemisch mit äußeren Trennmitteln, verwenden, wie sie z.B. aus den deutschen Offenlegungsschriften 2 121 670 und
2 307 589 bekanntgeworden sind.

Erfindungsgemäß lassen sich auch kalthärtende Schaumstoffe herstellen (vgl. britische Patentschrift 1 162 517, deutsche
Offenlegungsschrift 2 153 086).
Selbstverständlich können aber auch Schaumstoffe durch Blockverschäumung
oder nach dem an sich bekannten Doppeltransportbandverfahren hergestellt werden.
Die aus den erfindungsgemäßen Polymeren hergestellten
Polyurethankunststoffe besitzen verbesserte Zug- und Strukturfestigkeit/ was in den unten aufgeführten Anwendungsbeispielen
mit Hilfe der Messung der Wärmebiegefestigkeit sowie anderer physikalischen Eigenschaften gezeigt wird. Die
allgemeine Gültigkeit dieser Befunde wird durch die ausgewählten Beispiele nicht eingeschränkt.
Mengenangaben in den Beispielen sind, wenn nicht anders vermerkt,
als Gewichtsteile bzv/. Gewichtsprozente zu verstehen.

1500 g eines bifunktionellen Copolymeren aus 90 % Propylenoxid
und 10 % Äthylenoxid (OH-Zahl = 56; primäre OH-Gruppen)
wurden 30 Minuten bei 120°C und 15 Torr entwässert. Nach Abkühlen auf 30°C wurden 24,4 g Isatosäureanhydrid und 22,5 g
permethyliertes Diäthylentriamin zugegeben (Äquivalent-Verhältnis Hydroxylgruppen:Isatosäureanhydrid=10:1). Die Suspension
wurde unter intensivem Rühren auf 110 C gebracht und
die Temperatur bis zur Beendigung der Kohlendioxid-Entwicklung konstant gehalten. Dann wurde auf 20°C abgekühlt, 30 Minuten
lang bei 20°C Badtemperatur im Vakuum entgast und abfiltriert. Es wurden 1525 g (99,3 % der Theorie) einer viskosen, hellgelben,
bläulich fluoreszierenden Substanz erhalten.
Die Bestimmung der Aminoendgruppen im Reaktionsprodukt erfolgte
durch Titration in Eisessig-Lösung mit 0,1 η HClO. in Eisessig, die der Carboxylgruppen durch Titration mit wäßriger 0,1 η
NaOH in Toluol/Äthanol (1:1). Bei der Bestimmung der Aminogruppen
wurde in den Fällen, in denen die basischen Katalysatoren nach der Reaktion im Gemisch verblieben, die Menge
an Basen durch entsprechende Blindwert-Korrekturen berücksichtigt, ebenso wie bei der Verwendung von stickstoffhaltigen
PοIyölen.

Beispiel 2 ^
Es wurde wie in Beispiel 1 beschrieben verfahren, jedoch wurden 1000 g eines auf Trimethylolpropan gestarteten Copolymeren
aus Propylenoxid und Äthylenoxid (OH-Zahl = 56; primäre OH-Gruppen),
54,4 g Isatosäureanhydrid sowie 15 g permethyliertes Diäthylentriamin eingesetzt. (Verhältnis Hydroxylgruppen:
Isatosäureanhydrid 3:1). Ausbeute: praktisch quantitativ.
Analyse des Reaktionsproduktes: NH2 : 0,63 mÄqu./2g
COOH: 0,04 mäqu./2 g A/S-Verhältnis: 18:1
Es wurde wie in Beispiel 1 beschrieben gearbeitet, jedoch unter Verwendung eines Gemisches aus 400 g eines auf Trimethylolpropan
gestarteten Copolymeren aus Propylenoxid und Äthylenoxid (OH-Zahl =41; sekundäre OH-Gruppen) und 600 g eines
äthoxylierten Trimethylolpropans (OH-Zahl = 870) sowie 784 g Isatosäureanhydrid, 30 g Dimethylbenzylamin und 5 g Tetramethylguanidin
(Verhältnis Hydroxylgruppen isatosäureanhydrid = 2:1). Ausbeute: praktisch quantitativ.

A/S-Verhältnis: 14:1
Es wurde wie in Beispiel 1 beschrieben gearbeitet, jedoch mit 1000 g eines auf Trimethylolpropan gestarteten Copolymeren
aus Propylenoxid und Äthylenoxid (OH-Zahl =41; sekundäre OH-Gruppen), 59,8 g Isatosäureanhydrid und 3,9 g
Natriumhydroxid, (Verhältnis Hydroxylgruppen isatosäureanhydrid 2:1).

Nach Beendigung der Reaktion wurde das Reaktionsgemisch abgeküiht, mit 3
Methylenchlorid verdünnt, filtriert, mit 4 1 Wasser versetzt, 15 Minuten lang Kohlendioxid eingeleitet, die organische
Phase abgetrennt, zweimal mit Wasser ausgeschüttelt und das Lösungsmittel im Vakuum entfernt. Ausbeute: 990 g (95,1 % der
Theorie)

Es wurde wie in Beispiel 1 beschrieben verfahren, jedoch mit einem Gemisch aus 300 g Butandiol-1,4 und 500 g des trifunktionellen
Polyäthers aus Beispiel 2 sowie 389 g Isatosäureanhydrid und 7,5 g permethyliertem Diäthylantriamin
(Verhältnis Hydroxylgruppen isatosäureanhydrid 3:1) gearbeitet. Ausbeute: praktisch quantitativ
NH2 : 4,27 mäqu./2 g COOH: 0,16 mÄqu./2 g
A/S-Verhältnis: 27:1
Es wurde wie in Beispiel 1 beschrieben gearbeitet, jedoch unter Verwendung eines Gemisches aus 1000 g eines linearen
Polypropylenoxids (OH-Zahl =56), 100 g N-Methyläthanolamin,
50 g Triäthanolamin und 302 g Isatosäureanhydrid (Verhältnis Hydroxylgruppenisatosäureanhydrid etwa 2:1). Ausbeute: praktisch
quantitativ.

Unter Verwendung des modifizierten Polyäthers aus Beispiel 1 wurde eine Versuchsplatte (300 y, 200 χ 10 mm) hergestellt.

Die Komponenten wurden bei Raumtemperatur intensiv vermischt und dann rasch in eine auf 60°C erhitzte, verschließbare
Form mit den obigen Abmessungen gegossen, in welcher das Polyurethan ausgeheizt wurde. Vergleichsweise wurde das Beispiel
mit entsprechenden Mengen des unmodifizierten bzw. gemäß DOS 2 019 432 zu 100 % modifizierten Polyäthers
wiederholt.
Die verbesserte Strukturfestigkeit der erfindungsgemäß hergestellten
Polyurethane wurde mit Hilfe der Durchbiegung bei verschiedenen Temperaturen bestimmt (in Anlehnung an
DIN 53424)

Unter Verwendung eines analog zu Beispiel 2 zu 40 Mol-% mit
Isatosäureanhydrid modifizierten trifunktionellen Copolymeren aus 90 % Propylenoxid und 10 % Ethylenoxid (Anfangsmolekulargewicht
4000) wurde wie oben eine Versuchsplatte (300 χ 200 χ 10 mm) hergestellt.

120 g trifunktionelles Polyol (Umsetzungsprodukt aus 1 Mol
Trimethylolpropan und 1 Mol Äthylenoxid) 7 g Tetramethylguanidin/Dimethylbenzylamin (1 : 10)

Formaldehydkondensation von Anilin und anschließende Phosgenierung entsteht (Viskosität: 100 cP bei Raumtemperatur)

Vergleichsweise wurde der Versuch mit dem unmodifizierten
Polyäther wiederholt.
Die folgende Tabelle 3 zeigt die verbesserte Wärmebiegefestigkeit des Polyurethans, welches aus dem erfindungsgemäßen,
teilmodifizierten Polyäther hergestellt worden war.

212 g eines nach der Arbeitsweise von Beispiel 1 zu 50 % mit
Isatosäureanhydrid modifizierten Polypropylenglykols des
Anfangsmolekulargewichtes 2000 werden mit 36,5 g Toluylendiisocyanat (80 % 2,4-, 20 % 2,6-Isomeres) 60 Minuten
bei 120C umgesetzt. Anschließend werden weitere 3,4 g Toluylendiisocyanat zugegeben und das Gemisch 3 Minuten
bei 1OO°C und 75 Torr entgast. Dann werden 25,2 g 3,5-Diamino-4-chlorbenzoesäureisobutylester
zugegeben, das Reaktionsgemisch 20 Sekunden gerührt, dann auf eine vorgeheizte Platte (11O°C) gegossen und 24 Stunden bei 110°C
ausgeheizt. Es wird ein Elastomeres mit folgenden Eigenschaften erhalten:
Zugfestigkeit: 11,2 MPa
Strukturfestigkeit: 305 N
Shore Härte A: 85
Elastizität: 43 %
Unter Verwendung eines nicht modifizierten Polypropylenglykols
gleichen Molgewichtes wird unter analogen Bedingungen ein Elastomeres mit folgenden Eigenschaften
erhalten:
Zugfestigkeit: 8,3 MPa
Strukturfestigkeit: 257 N
Shore-Härte A: 86
Elastizität: 44 %

202 g eines nach der allgemeinen Arbeitsweise von Beispiel 1 zu 10 % mit Isatosäureanhydrid modifizierten Polypropylenglykols
des Anfangsmolekulargewichtes 2000 werden mit 36,5 g Toluylendiisocyanat (80 % 2,4-, 20 % 2,6-Isomeres) 60 Minuten
bei 1200C umgesetzt. Anschließend wird das Gemisch bei
1000C und 75 Torr entgast und dann mit 25,2 g 3,5-Diamino-4-chlorbenzoesäureisobutylester
vermischt. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird 20 Sekunden gerührt, dann auf eine vorgeheizte
Platte (110°C) gegossen und 24 Stunden bei 110°C ausgeheizt. Es wird ein Elastomeres mit folgenden Eigenschaften
erhalten:
Zugfestigkeit: 10,4 MPa
Strukturfestigkeit: 291 N
Shore-Härte A: 85
Elastizität: 44 %
Unter Verwendung eines nicht modifizierten Polypropylenglykols
gleichen Molgewichtes wird unter analogen Bedingungen ein Elastomeres mit folgenden Eigenschaften erhalten:
Zugfestigkeit: 8,3 MPa
Strukturfestigkeit: 257 N
Shore-Härte A: 86
Elastizität: 44 %

Claims (5)
- Patentansprücheη kfür Sauerstoff oder Schwefel steht, einen k-wertigen Rest darstellt, wie er durch Entfernung von k Hydroxyl- und/oder Mercaptogruppen aus einem Polyalkylen(thio)ätherpoly— (thi)ol mit η Hydroxyl- und/oder Mercaptogruppen und einem Molekulargewicht zwischen 1300 und 60000 entsteht,eine ganze Zahl von 2 bis 8 bedeutet und einen durchschnittlichen Wert zwischen O,O5 η und 0,7 η besitzt.
- 2. Verbindungen nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß η für 2 oder 3 steht.,
- 3. Verbindungen nach Anspruch 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß k einen durchschnittlichen Wert zwischen 0,1 η und0,4 η besitzt.
- 4. Verbindungen nach Anspruch 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß R für den k-wertigen Rest eines Polyäthylenoxids, Polypropylenoxids oder Polytetrahydrofurans steht.
- 5.
