Compounds of lactic acid and antimony have been used as such auxiliary pickles. But these have the disadvantage that. they represent brown smears and are therefore not used for coloring light, sensitive tones
Furthermore, such antimony double lactates, as indicated in patent specification 98939, class 12, very unstable Bodies that are easily hydrolytically decomposed by water, splitting off antimonic acid.
It has now been found that compounds containing antimony and glycolic acid very excellent auxiliary pickles, without those antimony-lactic acid compounds to be inferior in pickling power, the defects described above do not have. they provide clear solutions or a pure white water-soluble body that can also be used for coloring the lightest, most sensitive tones can be used, dissolves easily in cold water without Limitation can be diluted and is also very stable in solution.
The application of these new auxiliary pickling agents does not otherwise differ from the ones already used known pickling.
The products which can be used for the present purposes can thereby be dissolved produce that z. B. in the aqueous solution of acidic salts of glycolic acid antimony oxide enters until saturation or metallic antimony by introducing air to the Resolution brings. Solutions obtained in this way or in another way can be by evaporation the solid antimony glycolic acid compounds are represented by the lighter ones Applicability before the solutions offer advantages. These solutions or solid products can be greatly diluted without the antimony oxide precipitating; to ensure a failure To prevent them for a long time, acidic glycolates can be added to them. The products are colorless or pale yellowish. That from acidic glycolates, z. B. acid sodium glycolate. 5 <> obtained by saturation with antimony oxide and evaporation of the solution obtained Solid sodium antimony glycolate is crystalline and contains approximately 30 percent antimony.
Dann wird in üblicher Weise in einem Farbbad ausgefärbt.1. 10 kg of cotton fabric are used with a Tannin solution of 10 kg in 1000 liters of water pickled. The stained cotton fabric is pulled through a bath containing 7.1 kg of potassium antimonyl glycolate Contains dissolved in 1000 l of water. Then it is colored in the usual way in a dye bath.
Instead of the aforementioned potassium antimonyl glycolate, 7.9 kg of sodium antimony are used lglycolate used.
A mixture of 3.5 kg of potassium antimonyl glycolate is produced under the same conditions and 4 kg of sodium antimonyl glycolate are used.
It is worked according to Example 2 with the measure that the 7.9 kg of sodium antimonyl glycolate still about 4 kg of sodium glycolate can be added.
Instead of the addition of sodium glycolate mentioned under 4., an addition of made about 3 kg of glycolic acid.
