Claims (3)

1. Pulverulent spray-dried chrome tanning agents having a formate content of about 1.8-2.6 mol of formate/mol of Cr2O3 and a basicity of at least 42%, characterised in that before being spray-dried they are adjusted to a sulphate content of at least 1.8 mol of SO3/mol of Cr203.
2. Chrome tanning agents according to Claim 1, characterised in that their basicity is about 50%.
3. Chrome tanning agents according to one of Claims 1 or 2, characterised in that they have a sulphate content of 1.8 to 2.8 mol of S03/mol of Cr203.
