Description
Method of treating plant, animal or artificial Fibers or fabrics It is known that the sulfonic acids from mineral oils, naphtha distillates, Lignite tar oils and the like or their salts have soap-like properties.
It has now been found that the sulfonic acids mentioned or their Salts with particular advantage as additives in dyeing, carbonizing, bleaching and fulling of vegetable, animal or artificial fibers or fabrics, such as Wool, cotton, straw, jute, rayon and paper, in treatment baths in which Soap cannot find use, let use. It is in particular in this case the treatment of textiles and the like in an acidic bath, e.g. B. in dyeing in acidic solution, when carbonizing wool, etc. Soap is unsuitable in these cases, since free fatty acids or insoluble fatty acid salts are deposited here, which interfere with the treatment of the textiles etc. in an undesirable manner.
Can also be used to manufacture preparations for the purposes mentioned the sulfonic acids mentioned or their salts are used, for. B. for manufacturing of dye preparations, printing pastes, pancakes and the like. They can also be used in many cases mixed with other substances, in particular with soaps, fatty acids, Turkish red oils, organic solvents such as tetrahydrobenzene, benzyl alcohol, Use cyclohexanol, carbon tetrachloride, and the like. The use of the mineral oil sulfonabe in carbonizing, dyeing, bleaching, etc. offers valuable advantages in that the named products. very high wetting capacity, especially in hot treatment baths, exhibit; they are also distinguished by a very good leveling capacity. EXAMPLE i 2 g of carbonizing sulfuric acid with a strength of 2 ° B6 are added per liter Lignite tar oil sulfonic acid obtained by treating crude or purified lignite tar oil with sulfonating agents such as oleum, chlorosulfonic acid or the like, is available, to. When using this carbonizing bath, a particularly uniform one is achieved Carbonization; as a result of the rapid and good wetting of the tissue, a thorough Causes destruction of the vegetable substances. The addition of the sulfonic acids mentioned permitted; Use carbonizing acid, vefelic acid of very low concentration and thereby to achieve a considerable protection of the material. Example 2 One Sulfuric acid of s / 4 B6, as used for fulling in the hat industry, 0.5 g of naphthenecarboxylic acid, 1 g of naphthene sulfonic acid and 0.2 g are added per liter Soap or Turkish red oil too. You can reach one with such a fulling fleet very good fulling effect as well as a pleasant Handle and through the Presence of the colloidally dissolved fatty acid at the same time a certain cleaning this material.
Example 3 By mixing 4.0 parts of i # ¢ -Diaminoanthraquinone with 60 parts of the sodium salt of a mineral oil sulfonate, as is used in refining of raw mineral oil with fuming sulfuric acid and subsequent cleaning available is, a dye preparation is obtained which, with water, forms a very finely dispersed suspension that is largely insensitive to acids and alkalis and works very well suitable for dyeing acetate silk.
Beispiel q.Example q.
Durch Zusatz von 2o g des Präparats pro Liter Wasser erhält man eine Flotte, die sich ausgezeichnet zum Walken in saurem Bade eignet.15 parts soft soap are mixed with 5 parts, a mineral oil sulfonate, which was obtained in a manner similar to that indicated in Example 3, mixed, whereby a very effective fulling preparation is obtained. By adding 20 g of des Preparation per liter of water gives a liquor that is excellent for fulling suitable in acid baths.
