Description
- z-Trialkylsiloxi-acrylnitrile Die Erfindung betrifft neue «-Trialkylsiloxi-acrylnitrile der allgemeinen Formel I in der R1 und R2 gleich oder verschieden sind und Wasserstoff, Alkyl mit 1 bis 52 Kohlenstoffatomen, Halogenalkyl, Alkoxy, Alkenyl mit 2 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen und einer oder mehreren C=C-Bindungen in beliebiger Lage, Alkoycarbonyl, Acyl mit 2 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen, Halogen, gegebenenfalls einfach oder mehrfach durch Methyl, Methoxy, Nitro oder Halogen substituiertes Phenyl, Naphthyl, Phenoxy oder Benzyl bedeuten oder zusammen Glieder eines Ringes aus Methylengruppen, gegebenenfalls unterbrochen durch Sauerstoff oder Schwefel, und dem ß-Kohlenstoffatom als Ringglied mit mindestens 4 Ringgliedern sein können, und R3, R4 und R5 gleiche oder verschiedene Alkylreste mit maximal 4 Kohlenstoffatomen sind.
- Bereits bekannt sind Acrylnitrile, die am B-Kohlenstoffatom unsubstituiert und am α-Kohlenstoffatom durch Chlor, Methoxy, Acetyl oder Alkylmercapto substituiert sind (Tetrahedron 30, 559 (1974); Ber. 95, 652 (1962)). Die Hydrolyse zwecks Regenerierung der CO-Funktion dieser bekannten Acrylnitrile verlangt oft drastische Bedingungen, die schädlich für das Reaktionsprodukt sind.
- Bei den erfindungsgemäßen Trialkylsiloxi-acrylnitrilen handelt es sich um Acrylnitrile, die am B-Kohlenstoffatom substituiert sein können und sich im Gegensatz zu den bekannten Verbindungen dieser Klasse unter milden Bedingungen hydrolysieren lassen.
- Als Substituenten R1 und R2, die gleich oder verschieden sein können, in der allgemeinen Formel I kommen in Betracht Wasserstoff, geradkettiges oder verzweigtes Alkyl mit l bis 32 Kohlenstoffatomen, z,B. Methyl, Methyl, n-Propyl, i Propyl, n-Butyl, tert. -Butyl, Hexyl, Heptyl, Decyl, Dodecyl, Hexadecyl, Octadecyl, Eicosyl, Triacontyl, Dotriacontyi, Halogenalkyl, z.B. Chlormethyl, Trifluormethyl, Alkoxy, z.B. Methoxy, Äthoxy, geradkettiges oder verzweigtes Alkenyl mit 2 bis 20 Kohlenstoffo atomen und einer oder mehreren C=C-Bindungen in beliebiger Lage, z.3. Vinyl, Allyl, Isopropenyl, 4-Methyl-pentadien-(1,5) yl, Hepten-(l), Octen-(1), 2,6-Dimethylheptadien-(2,4)-yl-(6), Decen-(1), Dodecen-(1), Hexadecen-(1), Eicosen-(1), Alkoxycarbonyl, z.B. Methoxycarbonyl, Äthoxycarbonyl, Acyl mit 2 bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen, z.B. Propanoyl, Octanoyl, Dodecanoyl, Octadecanoyl, Halogens z.B. Fluor, Chlor, Brom, Octadecanoyl, Halogen, z.B. Fluor, Chlor, Brom, gegebenenfalls einfach oder mehrfach durch Methyl, Methoxy, Nitro oder Halogen substituiertes Phenyl, z.B. 4-Chlorphenyl, 4-Methylphenyl, 2,4,6-Trimethylphenyl, 4-Methoxyphenyl, 3-Brom-2,4,6-trimethylphenyl, Naphthyl, Phenoxy oder Benzyl.
- Außerdem können R1 und R2 zusammen Glieder eines Ringes aus Methylengruppen, gegebenenfalls unterbrochen durch Sauerstoff oder Schwefel, und dem B-Kohlenstoffatom als Ringglied mit mindestens 4 Ringgliedern sein; R1 und R2 können beispielsweise zusammen eine Pentamethylen- oder eine Octamethylenkette bilden.
- Bevorzugte Substituenten sind Alkylreste mit 1 bis 52 Kohlenstoffatomen sowie gegebenenfalls substituierte Phenyl- oder Naphthylreste und Halogen.
- R3, R4 und R5 in der allgemeinen Formel I können gleiche oder verschiedene Alkylreste mit maximal 4 Kohlenstoffatomen sein.
- Zweckmäßigerweise verwendet man Trimethylsilylcyanid, da es technisch leicht zugänglich ist und besonders rasch reagiert.
- Die neuen Acrylnitrile sind wertvolle Zwischenprodukte für die Synthese organischer Verbindungen Sie sind milde Acylierungsmittel Sie ermöglichen eine neue Reaktion zur Synthese von 1,2-Diketonen.
- Sie sind geeignete Reaktionspartner für 1})¢dipolare Additionen und Diels-Alder-Reaktionen.
- Man erhält die neuen oC-Trialkylsiloxi-acrylnitrile der allgemeinen Formel in der R1, R2, R5, R4 und R5 die oben genannten Bedeutungen haben, dadurch, daß man ein Trialkylsilylcyanid der allgemeinen Formel III R7R4R5SiCN III in der R7, R4 und R5 die oben genannten Bedeutungen haben, in einem aprotischen Lösungsmittel und unter Feuchtigkeitsausschluß an ein-Keten der allgemeinen Formel II in der R1 und R2 die oben genannten Bedeutungen haben, addiert.
- Die Addition erfolgt sowohl an freie als auch an in situ gebildete Ketene. Als vorteilhaft erweist sich die intermediäre Erzeugung von Ketenen aus Carbonsäurehalogeniden mit tertiären Aminen in Gegenwart der Trialkylsilylcyanide (III). Die Addukte (I) müssen demnach sehr rasch entstehen, da viele Ketene unter diesen Bedingungen schnell dimerisieren.
- Als Halogenwasserstoff-Acceptoren für die Ketenherstellung aus Carbonsäurehalogeniden verwendet man vorwiegend niedrige tertiäre aliphatische Amine, wie Trimethylamin, Triäthylamin, Tripropylamin. Solche tertiären Amine, wie Dimethylanilin, Diäthylanilin, Pyridin oder Chinolin, die zur Bildung stabiler Komplexe mit Säurechloriden als auch mit Ketenen neigen, sind weniger empfehlenswert Außerdem lassen sich die als Ausgangssubstanzen benötigten Ketene durch Pyrolyse von Ketonen, Carbonsäuren, Carbonsäureanhydriden und Carbonsäureestern herstellen (Houben-Weyl, Methoden der organischen Chemie, Bd. 7/4, s 68 (1968)).
- Zweckmäßige Lösungsmittel sind inerte aprotische Lösungsmittel, wie Schwefelkohlenstoff, aliphatische Ather, vorzugsweise Dialkyläther oder cyclische äther, insbesondere Diäthyläther, aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Petroläther, Ligroin, chlorierte aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Tetrachlormethan, Chloroform, aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Benzol, Toluol, Xylol Die Reaktionstemperaturen können im Bereich zwischen -40 und +400C variiert werden. Im allgemeinen arbeitet man zwischen 0 und -25 0C, vorzugsweise zwischen -15 und -200C.
- Die Umsetzung wird unter Feuchtigkeitsausschluß und zweckmäßigerweise in einer Inertgasatmosphäre, vorzugsweise unter Stickstoff, durchgeführt, um Hydrolyse und Folgereaktionen auszuschließen.
- Die Trialkylsilylcyanide der allgemeinen Formel III erhält man beispielsweise durch Einleiten von Alkylsiliciumhalogeniden in Schmelzen von Alkalihalogeniden, die Cyanide gelöst enthalten (J. anorg. allg. Chem )1D, 290 (1962)) oder durch Umsetzung von Trialkylsiliciumchlorid mit Schwermetallcyaniden oder mit Lithiumhydrid und Cyanwasserstoff (J. Org. Chem. 39, 914 (1974)).
- Die a-Trialkylsiloxi-acrylnitrile (I) sind farblose Verbindungen, die sich unter Feuchtigkeitsausschluß längere Zeit lagern lassen, wobei allmählich Gelbfärbung eintritt. Sie sind bis zu Temperaturen von 120 bis 1500C unzersetzt destillierbar. Sie zeigen charakteristische IR-Spektren. Die Valenzschwingung der Nitrilgruppe erscheint weitgehend unabhängig von R1 und R2 bei 2220 bis 2210 cm 1, die der C=C-Bindung bei 1645 bis 1620 cml. Bei ungleicher B-Substitution (R1 + R2) treten laut NMR-Spektrum Gemische auf.
- Beispiel 1 Synthese von A-Trialkylsiloxi-acrylnitrilen über Carbonsäurechloride In einer sorgfältig getrockneten Apparatur werden unter Stickstoff 0,10 Mol Säurechlorid in 20 ml absolutem Äther bei OOC in 1,5 Stunden zu einer Mischung von 0,11 Mol Trialkylsilylcyanid, 0,30 Mol Triäthylamin und 60 ml Äther zugetropft. Danach wird eine Stunde bei Raumtemperatur und eine Stunde bei 50°C gerührt. Das ausgefallene Salz wird abgesaugt und gründlich mit Äther nachgewaschen. Nach Abziehen des Lösungsmittels wird der Rückstand destilliert.
- Beispiel 2 Synthese von α-Trialkylsiloxi-acrylnitrilen über Keten Das bei der Pyrolyse von Aceton entstehende Gasgemisch wird bei Raumtemperatur durch 37,9 g Trlmethylsilylcyanid geleitet, bis die Nitrilbande des Trimethylsilylcyanids bei 2190 cm 1 verschwunden ist. Destillation liefert 51,1 g (97 %) 1-Trimethylsiloxiacrylnitril vom Siedepunkt 56 bis 630C bei 48 bis 50 Torr.
- Beispiel 3 In Trimethylsilylcyanid (z.B. 10 bis 40 g) wird Hexafluordimethylketen bei Raumtemperatur eingeleitet, bis die IR-Bande des Trimethylsilylcyanids bei 2190 cm-1 verschwunden ist. Die Destillation der Rohprodukte liefert ß,ß-Difluormethyl-α-trimethylsiloxiacrylnitril; Siedepunkt 62°C bei 38 Torr.

In diese Lösung wird über KOH getrocknetes Dimethylamingas während einer Stunde eingeleitet. Das IR-Spektrum der Lösung ist identisch mit dem Spektrum einer Lösung von 1 g N,N-Dimethylacetamid in 30 ml CC14.
- Aus d-Trialkylsiloxi-acrylnitrilen lassen sich 1,2-Diketone durch Umsetzung mit stark nucleophilen Agenzien, wie n-Butyllithium, unter Angriff an der Cyangruppe und anschließender Hydrolyse herstellen.
- Beispiel 5 10 mMol n-Butyllithium (5,1 ml) sowie 5 ml Pentan werden bei -200C vorgelegt und 10 mMol Trimethylsiloxi-acrylnitril (1,41 g) in 2 ml Pentan innerhalb von 50 Minuten zugetropft. Es entsteht eine tiefrote Lösung, zu der nach 2 Stunden 20 mMol Methyljodid (2,82 g) zugegeben werden. Nach einer Stunde wird die Hauptmenge des LösungSmittels abrotiert, 10 ml Äthanol und 3 ml 2n HC1 zugegeben und 2 Stunden gerührt. Danach werden 20 ml H20 sowie 5 ml 2n NaOH zugegeben. Nach Extraktion mit 60 ml CH2Cl2 und Trocknen des Lösungsmittels über Na2S04 wird abrotiert. 1,17 g Rohprodukt ergeben nach der Destillation 0,81 g Heptandion-(2,3); Siedepunkt 142 bis 1460C; Ausbeute 64 %.
- Außerdem gehen die -Trialkylsiloxi-acrylnitrile eine Cycloaddition ein, wobei sowohl 1,5-dipolare Additionen als auch Diels-Alder-Reaktionen möglich sind.
- Beispiel 6 2 mMol 2,3,5,6-Tetramethylbenzoesäure-nitriloxid (350 mg) werden in 1 ml CH2C12 gelöst und nach Zugabe von 2 mMol o(-Trimethylsiloxi-acrylnitril (282 mg) 24 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur gerührt. Das Lösungsmittel wird durch Einleiten von N2 weitgehend entfernt, zurück bleiben 602 mg Rohprodukt; Schmelzpunkt 95 bis 980C, Ausbeute 98 %. Das NMR-Spektrum zeigt eine Kopplungskonstante JAB = 8,5 Hz, die für die Position 5 im vorliegenden Fünfring charakteristisch ist (Chem. Ber. 106, 3345 (1973))-Beispiel 7 2 mMol Hexachloro-cyclopentadien (475 mg) und 2 mMol a-Trimethylsiloxi-acrylnitril werden im NMR-Röhrchen 3 Stunden auf 110 bis 1200C erhitzt. Danach wird ein AB-Spektrum bei 2,8 ppm (JLSkala) mit einer Kopplungskonstante von 7 Hz aufgenommen, die für die Bildung eines Diels-Alder-Adduktes spricht (Chem.
- Ber. 106, 3345 (1973)).
Claims (1)
- Patentanspruchot-Trialkylsiloxi-acrylnitrile der allgemeinen Formel I in der R1 und R2 gleich oder verschieden sind und Wasserstoff, Alkyl mit 1 bis 32 Kohlenstoffatomen, Halogenalkyl, Alkoxy, Alkenyl mit 2 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen und einer oder mehreren C=C-Bindungen in beliebiger Lage, Alkoxycarbonyl, Acyl mit 2 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen, Halogen, gegebenenfalls einfach oder mehrfach durch Methyl, Methoxy, Nitro oder Halogen substituiertes Phenyl, Naphthyl, Phenoxy oder Benzyl bedeuten oder zusammen Glieder eines Ringes aus Methylengruppen, gegebenenfalls unterbrochen durch Sauerstoff oder Schwefel, und dem B-Kohlenstoffatom als Ringglied mit mindestens 4 Ringgliedern sein können und R3, R4 und R5 gleiche oder verschiedene Alkylreste mit maximal 4 Kohlenstoffatomen sind.
