Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf neue und verbesserte Katalysatoren
sowie auf ihre Verwendung.
Organische Komplexe von Platin .sind allgemein bekannt.. Sie
haben eine weite Verwendung als Katalysatoren für eine An-■<
zahl von Reaktionen gefunden, wie z.B. Reaktionen zwischen Verbindungen, die ein oder mehrere an Silicium gebundene
Wasserstoffatome enthalten, und Verbindungen, die ein oder
mehrere an Silicium gebundene Hydroxygruppen enthalten. Zwar sind diese Plätinkomplexe für Zusammensetzungen, welche
solche Verbindungen enthalten, sehr wirksam, jedoch ist

die Badlebensdauer derartiger katalysierter Zusammensetzungen häufig unerwünscht kurz.
Es wurde nunmehr gefunden, dass durch den Zusatz gewisser N-haltiger Verbindungen zum Platinkomplexkatalysator eine
verbesserte Badlebensdauer erhalten 'wird, ohne dass die
Katalysatorwirkung des Platinkomplexes bei der Reaktionstemperatur beeinträchtigt wird.
So wird also gemäss der Erfindung ein neuer und verbesserter
Katalysator vorgeschlagen, welcher aus einem organischen Platinkomplex und Ammoniak oder einem Ammoniakderivat besteht,
worin die drei Valenzen durch Binden an ein G-, H-, 0-, N- oder Si-Atom abgesättigt sind, mit der Einschränkung,
dass nicht mehr als ein O-Atom an das Ammoniak-N-Atom gebunden
ist, wobei der Ammoniak oder das Ammoriiakderivat
in einer solchen Menge vorliegt, dass das Atomverhältnis von Pt zum Ammoniak-N-Atom zwischen 10:1 und 1:1000 liegt. -
Die Erfindung betrifft auch eine Zusammensetzung, welche eine Verbindung mit ein oder mehreren an Silicium gebundenen
Wasserstoffatomen, eine Verbindung mit ein oder mehreren
an Silicium gebundenen Hydroxylgruppen, einen organischen
-S -2 Platinkomplex in einer Menge von 1 χ 10 ^ bis 1 χ 10
Grammatome Pt je kg gesamter Siliciumverbindungen und Ammoniak oder ein Ammoniakderivat enthält, worin die drei
Valenzen durch Binden an ein C-, H-, 0-, N- oder Si-Atom abgesättigt sind, mit der Einschränkung, dass nicht mehr
als ein O-Atom an das Ammoniak-N-Atom gebunden ist, wobei
der Ammoniak oder das Ammoniakderivat in einer solchen Menge vorliegt, dass das Atomverhältnis von Pt zum Ammoniak-N-Atom
zwischen 10:1 und 1:1000 liegt.
Ein·organischer Platinkomplex, der in der Folge als "Platinkatalysator"
bezeichnet wird, ist eine Verbindung von

Platin, die ein oder mehrere Ligariden oder Donorgruppen
enthält. Geeignete Liganden oder Donorgruppen sind z.B. Gruppen, die Arsen, Phosphor, Schwefel oder Stickstoff
enthalten, oder Olefine, welche Elektronen zur Bildung einer Bindung mit dem Platinmetall bereitstellen können.
Geeignete Liganden sind beispielsweise die Kohlenwasserstoff arsine—phosphine und -sulfide, wie z.B.
Tripropylarsin,Tributylphosphin oder Diäthylsulfid,
Nitrile, ^wie z.B. Benzonitril, Olefine, wie z.B. Äthylen,
• Cyclohexen, Hexa-1,5-dien und 2-Dimethyl-5-methylhex-3-in,
und Amine, wie z.B. Ammoniak, Pyridin und Ithylendiamin. Diese Platinkatalysatoren können beispielsweise, durch
Verfahren hergestellt werden, die in den folgenden Veröffentlichungen
beschrieben sind: Kharasch, J.A.C.S., 1936,
58, 1733» oder MacNevin, Giddings und Foris, Chemistry and
Industry 1958, 657, oder "Inorganic Synthesis", Band 6,
Seite 211 (McGraw-& Hill, N.Y. 1960).
Geeignete Platinkatalysatoren sind z.B.: Bis-(benzonitril)-dichloroplatin,
Bis-CtributylphosphinO-dibromoplatin,
(Tributylphosphin)(triphenylphosphin)-di-jodoplatin, Bis-
• (phenyldimethylphosphin)-triphenylsilyl-chloroplatin, Bis-(phenyldimethylphosphin)-diphenylmethylgermanyl-chloro-
platin, Bis-(tripropylphosphin)-dichloro-]a-dichlorodiplatin,
Bis-(tripropylphosphin)-dichloro-u-bis-(äthylmercaptyl)-diplatin,
Bis—(diäthylsulfid)-dichloroplatin, Bis-(trimethylphosphin)-methylbroffloplavtin,
Bis-(tripropylarsin)-dichloroplatin,
Bis-Ctriphenylphosphin^-dimethylplatin, Triäthylphosphin-äthylen-dichloroplatin
und Gyclohexen-dichloroplatin.
Beispiele für erfindungsgemäss'verwendbare Ammoniakderivate
sind: primäre, sekundäre und tertiäre Amine, -wie z.B. n- , Propylamin, Di-n-propylamin, Tri-n-propylamin, Morpholin
•'und Κ,Κ,Ν1 ,N'-Tetramethyläthy'lendianiin; heterocyclische

Verbindungen, wie z.B. Pyridin, Chinolin, Bipyridyl, Aminopyridin, Aminopyrimidin, Irainazol und Pyrrol ; Amide,
wie z.B. Propionamid, Acrylamid, Formamid und Dimethylformamid; Azoverbindungen, wie z.B. Azobenzol; Hydrazide,
wie z.B. Benzhydrazid; Nitrile, wie z.B. Acetonitril,
Acrylonitril und Adiponitril; Hydroxylamine, wie z.B. Diäthylhydroxylamin; Oxime, wie z.B. Dimethylglyoxim;
Nitrosoverbindungen, wie z.B. Of-Nitroso-ß-naphthol, p-Nitrosodiphenylamin
und N-Nitrosodiphenylamin; Siloxane, wie z.B. Polymethyl-(ß-dimethylaminoäthoxy)-siloxan; und
Silazane, wie z.B. Hexamethyldisilazan. ·
Zwar wird der Ammoniak oder das Ammoniakderivat in solchen
Mengen verwendet, dass das Atomverhältnis von Pt zum Ammoniak-N-Atom zwischen 1o:1 und 1:1000 liegt, aber in
vielen Fällen wird es bevorzugt, dass dieses Verhältnis im Bereich von 1:1 bis 1:100 liegt. Bei den erfindungsgemässen
Katalysatoren können der Ammoniak oder die Ammoniakderivate in einem geeigneten Lösungsmittel gelöst oder
dispergiert werden, worauf dann die Lösung mit einer Lösung des Platinkatalysators gemischt wird. Alternativ kann der
Ammoniak oder das Ammoniakderivat direkt in der Lösung des Platinkatalysators aufgelöst oder dispergiert werden,
ohne d8ss weiteres Lösungsmittel zugegeben wird. '
Bei den erfindungsgemässen Zusammensetzungen müssen die
beiden Bestandteile des erfindungsgemässen Katalysators nj chi unbedingt vor der Zugabe zu den Siliciumverbindungen
gemischt weräer, in vielen Fällen ist es zweckmässig,, sie

ist diejenige, bei der die Siliciumverbindungen
solcher Art sind j .wie sie weit in herkömmlichen Verfahreil
zum Aufbringen von nicht-haftenden Polysilöxanbelägen
auf Papier oder zum Aufbringen von wasserabweisenden Polysiloxanen auf Textilien verwendet werden. Solche Zusammen-^
Setzungen enthalten normalerweise eine Siliciumverbindung
mit an Silicium gebundenen Wasserstoffatomen in 3?orm eines
Drganohydrogenpolysiloxans 5 häufig eines. Methylihydrogenpolysilöxaiis.,
und". eine Silicium verbindung mit' an Silicium
gebundenen Hydroxylgruppen in Form eines c/j^-Mhydroxydiorganopolysiloxäns

Mmethy !polysiloxans» In diesen Zusammensetzungen ist
normalerweise eine beträchtliche Menge eines Lösungsmittels
-vorhanden. In solchen erfiridungsgemässen Zusammensetzungen
ist es weitgehend unnötig, irgendein Lösungsmittel zu verwenden, und zwar öusser der sehr kleinen Menge, die mit
dem Katalysator eingeführt wird*· Dies ergibt den grossen
Vorteil der Beschleunigung des Verfahrens, insofern, als,
die früher zum Verflüchtigen des Lösungsriiittels,nach dem
Aufbringen der Zusammensetzung auf das Substrat und vor dem Härten erforderliche Zeitspanne nicht mehr nötig ist.
Bei den bisher verfügbaren Zusammensetzungen war ös nicht
möglich, das Lösungsmittel wegzulassen, da hifeMurch im

vorliegenden Zusammensetzungen der Fall ist. Katalysatortemperaturkoeffizient =

Die Erfindung wird durch die folgenden Beispiele näher erläutert,
-worin alle Teile und Prozentangaben in Gewicht ausgedrückt sind.
Bestimmung der Katalysatortetnperaturkoeffizienten.
1. Eine Polysiloxanzusammensetzung wurde dadurch hergestellt, dass 92 Teile eines hydroxylabgeschlossenen
Polydimethylsiloxans einer Viskosität von 14-0 cP bei 200C
mit 8 Teilen eines Polymethylhydrogensiloxans einer Viskosität von 20 cP bei 200C und mit Me/Si- und H/Si-Verhältnissen
von 1:1 gemischt wurden. Zu dieser Zusammensetzung wurde Ammoniak oder ein Ammoniakderivat und dann ein Platinkatalysator
zugegeben.
2. Ein Teil der katalysierten Polysiloxanzusammensetzung
wurde in einen Behälter eingebracht, der auf 25°C gehalten
, , , ' , aus rostCreieuTi SLfcahl ,
wurde,und dann wurde ein Stempel/ m axe zusammensetzung
eingetaucht. Der Stempel, bestand aus einer kreisförmigen
Platte von 22,2 mm Durchmesser an deren Zentrum ein Stab von 101,6 mm Länge und 3,2 mm Durchmesser angebracht war.
Der Stempel wog 6,2 g und wurde mechanisch in vertikaler Sichtung mit einer Amplitude von 12,7 mm und einer Frequenz
von 1 Zyklus/Minute durch eine "Tec.am Gelation Timer"
(hergestellt durch Techne Ltd., Cambridge, England) hin- und herbewegt. Wenn die Polysiloxanzusammensetzung gelierte,
dann wurde die Bewegung des Stempels verhindert, worauf der

Gelation Timer automatisch, ausgeschaltet wurde. Die Zeit
in Hinuten, während, der der Gelation Timer in Betrieb war,"
d.i. die "Gelzeit", wurde festgehalten.
3. Ein Teil der katalysierten Polysiloxanzusammen-
setzung wurde auf ein pflanzliches Pergamentpapier mit einem

Belagge'wicht von 7 g/m aufgebracht, und das beschichtete
Papier wurde in einen Luftumwälzofen mit 1WC eingebracht.
Die geringste Zeit, die erforderlich-war, dass der Belag
in einen nicht-schinierenden elastomeren Feststoff aushärtete,
wurde als "Härtungszeit" bezeichnet.
In diesen Beispielen wurde ein Ammoniakderivat zur PoIysiloxanzusammensetzung
in Form einer Toluollösung zugegeben, die eine kleine Menge von entweder Aceton oder 74- op-Industriemethylsprit
in einer Konzentration von 1/10 Grammatom N je Liter enthielt. Die Menge des Ammoniakderivats
in den- Polysiloxanzusammensetzungen entsprach ■_ 1/1000 Grammatom N je kg Polysiloxane
Der verwendete Platinkatalysator war. eine Lösung von Bis-(diäthylsulfid)-dichloroplatin
in Toluol mit einer Konzentration von 1/10 Mol/l.. Die Konzentration des Platins in
der Polysiloxanzusammensetzung war 1/1000 Grammatom Pt je
kg. Die Härtungszeit wurde 1/2 Stunde nach Zugabe des Platinkatalysators bestimmt.

Die obigen Beispiele zeigen, dass der Katalysatortempera—
turkoeffizient immer zunimmt und dass im allgemeinen die
Badlebensdauer einer Polysiloxanzusammensetzung beträchtlich erhöht werden kann, ohne dass die .Anxangshärtungszeit wesentlich beeinträchtigt wird. Weiterhin zeigen die folgenden Zahlen im Vergleich zu den obigen Beispielen, dass die Härtungszeit einer Polysiloxanzusammensetzung, welche ein Ammoniakderivat enthält, nicht abträglich beeinflusst wird, wenn die Zusammensetzung altert.
Badlebensdauer einer Polysiloxanzusammensetzung beträchtlich erhöht werden kann, ohne dass die .Anxangshärtungszeit wesentlich beeinträchtigt wird. Weiterhin zeigen die folgenden Zahlen im Vergleich zu den obigen Beispielen, dass die Härtungszeit einer Polysiloxanzusammensetzung, welche ein Ammoniakderivat enthält, nicht abträglich beeinflusst wird, wenn die Zusammensetzung altert.

In diesen Beispielen wurden verschiedene Typen von Katalysatoren verwendet. Der Zweckmässigkeit halber wurde der
Platinkatalysator in einem geeigneten Lösungsmittel aufgelöst,
und 1 Teil dieser Lösung wurde zu 100 Seilen der
Polysiloxanzusammensetsung zugegeben.. Die Ammoniakderivate
wurden in der gleichen V/eise aufgelöst und dispergiert.
In der folgenden Tabelle sind die Daten für die katalysierte Polysiloxanzusaramensetzung gegenüber dem Namen" des Platin—
katalysator^ angegeben und sind die Daten für eine ähnliche
katalysierte Zusammensetzung mit Zusatz des Ammoniakderivats gegenüber dem Namen des Ammoniakderivats angegeben. In den
Beispielen 4-3, 49 und 50 wurde die Härtungszeit bei einer
Badlebensdauer von 10 Minuten bestimmt.

Claims (1)
- PATENTANSPRÜCHE:Katalysator, welcher einen organischen Platinkomplex enthält, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass"er auch Ammoniak oder ein Ammoniakderivat enthält, worin die drei Valenzen durch Binden an ein C-, H-, 0-, H- oder Si-Atorn abgesättigt sind, mit der Einschränkung:, dass nicht mehr als ein 0-Atom an das Ammoniak-N—Atom- gebunden ist, wobei der Ammoniak oder das Ammoniakderivat in einer solchen *%nge vorliegen, dass das Atom verhältnis von Pt zumAmmoniak-K-Atom im Bereich von 10:1 bis 1:1000 liegt.2. Katalysator riacb- Anspruch ί , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Ligand oder die.Donorgruppe im organischen Piatin-_ komplex ausgewählt sind aus Gruppen,· die Arsen, Phosphor, Schwefel oder Stickstoff enthalten,soder aus Olefinen, welche, .für die Bindung mit Platin Elektronen bereitstellen können..3. Katalysator nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Ligand oder die Donorgruppe aus einem Kohlenwasserstoff arsin, -phosphin oder -sulfide einem ITitril oder einem Amin besteht. ■ . :4. Katalysator nach Anspruch^, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass als Ammoniakaerivat eines der folgenden ausgewählt wird: n-Propylamin, Di-n-propylainin, Tri~n-propylarnin, Korpholin, Ν,Ν,ϊί' ,N' —Tstr-aciethyiäthylendiainin, Pyridin, Chinolin, Bipyridyl, Aminopyridin, Aminopyrimidin, Iminazol, Pyrrol, Propionanid, Acrylamid, SOrmamid, Dimethylformamid, Azobenzol, Benzhydrazid, Acetonitril, Adiponitril, Diäthyl— hydroxylamin, Dimethylglyoxim, öf-Kitroso-ß-naphthol, p-Kitrosodiphenyiamin, N-Nitrosodiphenylamin, ein PoIynethyl-(ß—diinethylaminoät;hoxy)-silo3:an oder Eexamethyl— disilazan.tf.
