Um den beim Mischen feiner, knolliger Pulver oder breiartiger Massen entstehenden, unverhältnifsmäfsig grofsen Zeitaufwand zu kürzen, um die Knollen homogen zu verarbeiten, während die Mischung viel rascher vor sich gehen kann, und um die Maschine gleichzeitig zum Sieben verwendbar zu machen, wird eine Garnitur von federnden, messerartigen, sich berührenden oder überdeckenden Platten oder eine bürstenartige Besetzung der Kanten der Knetschaufeln mit Draht, Fibre oder Haar (Borsten) oder auch in Verbindung mit ersterem angewendet.
