Description

  • Verfahren zum unlösbaren Verbinden eines metalligen Rohrstuclres mit einem Werkstück aus schmelzbarem Kunststoff Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum unlösbaren Verbinden eines metalligen Rohrstückes mit einem muffenartigen, oder einem muffenartigen Teil aufweisenden Werkstück aus einem schmelzbaren Kunststoff.
  • Soweit derartige Werkstücke durch Giessen, z.B. nach dem Spritzgießverfahren, hergestellt werden, ist es bekannt, eine solche Verbindung schon wahrend der Herstellung des aus Kunststoff bestehenden Werkstückes dadurch zu bewirken, daß man das Rohrstück in die Gießform einlegt und vergießt, wobei eine formschlüssige Verbindung durch entsprechende Gestaltung, z.B. Aufrauhung der Mantelfläche des Rohrstückes, möglich ist. Um zu vermeiden, daß dabei flüssiger Kunststoff in das Innere des Rohrstückes eindringt, ist es dabei notwendig, die dem Werkstück zugekehrte Öffnung des Rohrstückes während des Gießvorganges durch einen später wieder entfernhsren Kern oder Stopfen zu verschliePen. Soweit es sich um verwickelte Werkstücke handelt, ist es häufig nur möglich, einen derartigen ern von dem vom Werkstück abgewandten Ende des Rohrstückes her einzufügen, was aber, insbesondere dann, wenn es sich um ein langes oder gekrümmtes Rohrstück handelt, große Schwierigkeiten bereiten kann.
  • 1) er Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein einfacheres Ver-Fahren zu finden, das ein Verschließen des in das runststoffwerkstück einzufügenden Rohrstückes überflüssig macht, und das daher f3uch bei verwickelten Werkstückformen und beliebig langen Rohrstücken ohne ; chwierigkeiten anwendbar ist.
  • Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe besteht erfindungsgemä# darin, da# der in an sicvh bekannter Weise mit Vertiefungen, vorzugsweise in Form von Lockungen, versehene Teil des metallischen Rohrstückes, weicher mit dem aus Kunststoff bestehenden Werkstück verbunden werden soll, auf eine Temperatur wenig oberhalb des Schmelzounktes des Kunststoffes erhitzt und, solange er diese Temperatur noch aufweist, in die Bohrung des muffenartigen Teils des vorgefertigten Kunststoffteiles eingeführt wird. Dabei soll der Durchmesser dieser Bohrung größer sein als der Innendurchmesser des Rohrstückes, daß das Volumen des beim Einführen des erhitzten Rohrstückes verdrängenden Kunststoffes ausweicht, um die Vertiefungen des Rohrstückes wenigstens teilweise auszufüllen.
  • Wie hoch die Temneratur zu wählen ist, auf welche das Rohrstück erhitzt werden muß, hängt aber von der Schmelztemperetur des Kunststoffes, von der Wärmeleit-Fähigkeit und von der lWärme-Kanazität des miteinander zu verbindenden Teils ab. Ein dünnwandiges Rohrstück, das die in ihm gespeicherte Wärme rasch an das Kunststoffwerksttick abgibt, wird man z.B. starker erhitzen müssen, als ein starkwandiges Rohrstück, in dem sich mehr Wärme speichern läßt.
  • Zur Veranschaulichung des Verfahrens soll man anhand der Zeichnung die Herstellung des aus schmelzbarem Kunststoff z.B. aus Polyvinylchlorid bestehenden Oberteils einer Autowaschbürste beschrieben werden, deren Griffteil aus einem z.B. aus Aluminium bestehenden Rohrstück besteht.
  • Das fiir sich hergestellte Bürstenoberteil 1 weist zur Aufnahme des Griffteils eine Bohrung 2 auf, deren Durchmesser d 1 ist. Das Griffteil besteht aus einem Rohrstück ?, dessen Außendurchmesser d 2 um einige Zehntelmillimeter grö#er ist als d 1 und das vorn eine sich auf d 1 verjüngende Zone 4 aufweist, an die sich eine mit Lochungen 5 versehene Zone 4 anschlie#t. In Figur 1 sind die Teile 1 und 3 nebeneinander für sich dargestellt. m sie unlösbar miteinander zu verbinden, wird das vordere Ende des Rohres auf eine Temperatur erhitzt, die etwas oberhalb der Schmelztemperatur des Werlstoffes liegt, aus dem das Teil 1 besteht. Hierauf wird das heiße Rohrstück 3 in die Bohrung 2 eingefügt, bis es die aus Figur 2 ersichtliche Stellung erreicht hat, wobei der Werkstoff des Teiles 1 im unmittelbaren Bereich der Bohrung 2 sufschmilzt und zum Teil in die Bohrungen 5 eindringt. Bei dem gezeichneten Beispiel wird das Einfügen des Rohrstückes durch die sich verjüngende Hirnzone 4 erleichtert.

Claims (1)

  1. PATENTANSPRUCH Verfahren zum unlösbaren Verbinden eines metalligen Rohrstückes niit einem muffenartizen oder einem muffenartigen Teil aufweisenden Werkstöck aus einem schmelzbaren Kunststoff, dadurch gekennzeichnet, da# der in an sich bekannter VJeise mit Vertiefungen, vorzugsweise in Form von Bohrungen versehene Teil des metalligen Rohrstückes, welcher mit dem aus Kunststoff bestehenden Werkstück verbunden werden soll, mit einer Temperatur wenig oberhalb des Schmelzpunktes des Kunststoffes erhitzt, und, solange er diese Temperatur' noch aufweist, in die Bohrung des muffenarangen Teiles des vorgefertigten Kunststoffwerkstöckes eingefügt wird, deren Durchmesser größer als der Wnnendurchmesser des Rohrstückes aber um so viel kleiner wie der Au#endurchmesser des Rohrstückes ist, daß das Volumen, das beim Einführen des erhitzten Rohrstückes zu verdrängenden Kunststoffes ausreicht, um die Vertiefungen des Rohrstückes wenigstens teilweise auszufüllen.
