The invention relates to a composite carburetor with at least two mixing chambers, each controlled by a throttle valve, in which the throttle valve of the first mixing chamber is directly controlled by the driver, while the throttle valve of the second mixing chamber is activated automatically according to the operating conditions of the composite carburetor de = fed Lötores is operated, with one on the. A device that responds to the pressure at a suitably selected point in the first mixing chamber opens the throttle valve of the second mixing chamber the further the lower this pressure is, and vice versa - and this device has a system capable of exerting an additional force, which is used to support the opening movement of the throttle valve for the second mixing chamber - while a closing spring of the associated device continuously acts on this throttle valve in its closing direction. The device 28 is provided with a pot-shaped bracket 29, which serves as a guide for the abutment 27 and is firmly connected to the pressure cylinder 20. The bottom 30 of this bracket 29 has a concentric opening 31 for a bolt 32 to pass through: the end of the bolt 32 is rigidly connected on the one hand to the abutment 27 for the closing part 26 and on the other hand to an anchor plate 33. Between the anchor plate 33 and the bottom 30 of the console 29 there is a hollow body which is essentially deformable in the direction of the spring axis of the closing spring 26 and whose wall parts 34, which are circular in cross section, are composed like an accordion. Arranged in the interior of the hollow body is a helical spring, indicated by dash-dotted lines at 35, which generates an additional force to relax the closing spring 2 ('- 1 and thus to support the opening movement of the throttle valve 17. The helical spring 35 is supported on the one hand on the anchor plate 33 and others are from the bottom 30 of the console 29. The interior of the hollow body, in which the helical spring 35 is attached, is evacuated so that the atmospheric pressure counteracts the additional force generated by the spring 35. Accordingly, at Falling. Atr: the closing spring 26 is relieved of tension, so that the opening of the throttle valve 17 is facilitated . In Fig. 1, the abutment 27 of the closing spring 26 is drawn in a position opposite the stationary console 29, which corresponds, for example, to normal atmospheric pressure On the other hand, in Fig. 2 .the abutment 27 is shown in a notch against = above the console 29, which is at a significantly low level ren than normal atmospheric pressure. The invention ensures that the automatic actuation of the throttle valve 17 for the second mixing chamber 11 is not impaired either by operation at higher altitudes or by fluctuations in supply pressure over the same elevations. Such impairments occur, for example, with known composite carburettors when, during full-load operation at greater local heights, the throttle valve 17 of the second mixing chamber 11 cannot be moved into the open position, since the effect of the closing spring 26 is greater due to the low atmospheric pressure than that of the mine 230 influenced by the pressure in the inlet channel 12 of the first mixing chamber 10
