Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Befestigung einer Glasscheibe, wie einer Windschutzscheibe,
an einer Fahrzeugkarosserie. Zur Befestigung von Windschutzscheiben oder Rückfenstern ist es bei
Kraftfahrzeugen bereits bekannt, einen Profilstreifen aus elastisch deformierbaren Werkstoffen, wie
Gummi, an der Umrandung der Glasscheibe anzubringen, die Glasscheibe in der öffnung bzw. im
Rahmen für die Windschutzscheibe bzw. das Rückfenster auszurichten und an der Scheibe und/oder in
der Öffnung ein im Strangpreßverfahren hergestelltes Abschlußband vorzusehen.
Die gewöhnlich verwendeten Fonnprofile sind relativ teuer, und es ist oft schwierig, die Glasscheiben
in dem Rahmen genau auszurichten. Schichtglas wird deshalb häufig beim Einfassen beschädigt, und bei
Sicherheitsglas ist das Abdichten wegen der großen, bei der Herstellung von Sicherheitsglas erforderlichen
Toleranzen, schwierig.
Es wurde bereits vorgeschlagen, eine Mischung ao aus Polysulfidgummi und Härtezusätzen auf den
Rand der Glasscheibe zu spritzen, die dann in die in der Kraftfahrzeugkarosserie vorgesehene öffnung für
die Windschutzscheibe oder das Rückfenster gedrückt wird. Der Gummi härtet anschließend aus und fixiert
die Scheibe innerhalb der Öffnung.
Bei der Verwendung der Polysulfid-Gummimischung besteht die Hauptschwierigkeit in der kurzen
Gebrauchsdauer der Mischung und ihrer sehr begrenzten Zeit der Brauchbarkeit. Die Apparatur
zum Dosieren und Mischen des Gummis und der Härtezusätze ist teuer und umständlich, und wenn
eine Windschutzscheibe beim Gebrauch zerstört wird, ist es schwierig, den Kunststoff zu zerschneiden,
um die Glassplitter zu entfernen.
Ferner wurde bereits ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Scheibenabdichtung aus einer Gummiprofilleiste
für eine in einem Rahmen gehaltene Scheibe vorgeschlagen, bei dem die Profilleiste, die
aus einer bei Normaltemperatur vulkanisierenden Gummimischung besteht, unvulkanisiert in den Rahmen
eingesetzt wird und nach dem Einsetzen der Scheibe verbleibende Zwischenräume mit einer plastischen
Masse, entsprechend derjenigen der Profilleiste, ausgefüllt werden.
Bei der Herstellung von Verbundglasscheiben ist es weiterhin bekannt, in einer organischen Zwischenschicht
eingebettete Widerstandsdrähte vorzusehen. Hierbei wird zwischen zwei zu verbindende
Glasscheiben eine plastische Zwischenschicht, beispielsweise aus Kunststoffolie, eingebracht und werden
die Drahtenden an eine elektrische Stromquelle Verfahren zur Befestigung einer Glasscheibe an
einer Fahrzeugkarosserie

angeschlossen. Es liegt hierbei insofern ein spezielles Anwendungsgebiet vor, als die Herstellung einer
Anschlußklemme für die Zuleitung von Strom zur Auslösung eines Alarms bzw. zur Beheizung der
Scheiben in Betracht gezogen ist. Insbesondere kommt es darauf an, zwischen dem festen Zuleitungskabel und den sehr dünnen, empfindlichen Leitern
eine Verbindung zu schaffen, die auch Erschütterungen oder sonstigen Bewegungsvörgängen standhält.
Demgegenüber soll gemäß der Erfindung ein ausgeeigneten Werkstoffen bestehender Streifen einmalig
erwärmt werden, um ihn in einen Zustand überzuführen, in dem seine Bindungseigenschaften entfaltet
werden, ohne dabei die innere Elastizität zu verlieren. Weiterhin soll das Verbinden von Teilen auf
relativ kostensparende und einfache Weise erfolgen, ohne die Dauerstandsfestigkeit der Verbindung zu
verkürzen und ohne insbesondere auf weitere Füllwerkstoffe zurückgreifen zu müssen.
Dieses wird erfindungsgemäß durch ein Verfahren erreicht, bei dem parallel zum Rand der Scheibe
bzw. der Fensteröffnung in der Karosserie ein Streifen aus weichen, härtbaren Werkstoffen angeheftet
wird, der einen in Längsrichtung durch den Streifen verlaufenden elektrischen Leiter aufweist, die Scheibe
in die öffnung so eingesetzt wird, daß der Streifen den Schlitz zwischen beiden abdichtet, die Enden des
Leiters an eine elektrische Stromquelle gelegt werden und durch diesen zur Erzeugung von Wärme

Claims (1)
1. Verfahren zur Befestigung einer Glasscheibe, wie einer Windschutzscheibe, an einer
Fahrzeugkarosserie, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß parallel zum Rand der Scheibe bzw. der Fensteröffnung in der Karosserie ein
Streifen aus weichen, härtbaren Werkstoffen angeheftet wird, der einen in Längsrichtung durch
den Streifen verlaufenden elektrischen Leiter aufweist, die Scheibe in die Öffnung so eingesetzt wird, daß der Streifen den Schlitz zwischen
beiden, abdichtet, die Enden des Leiters an eine elektrische Stromquelle gelegt werden und durch
diesen zur Erzeugung von Wärme Strom geleitet wird, durch die der Streifen infolge Aushärtung in einen zähen, nachgiebigen Zustand über-
