Gegenstand des Hauptpatentes ist ein Kleidungsstück mit elastisch veränderbarer Bundweite und mindestens einer der Bundweitenregulierung dienenden Unterbrechung des Gürtels, dessen Teile sich an dieser Stelle überlappen, sowie mit zwei an den Enden der sich überlappenden Teile des Gürtels befestigten elastischen Bändern, die einem selbsttätigen Bundweitenausgleich dienen.
