Die Neuerungen bestehen darin, dafs die Züge des Backofens nicht aus Backsteinen gemauert oder aus Eisenplatten gebildet werden, sondern dafs dazu viereckige Thonröhren benutzt werden, welche zugleich die Ofenwandungen bilden.The novelty consists in the fact that the drawers of the oven are not made of bricks or made of iron plates, but that square clay tubes are used for this purpose which at the same time form the furnace walls.

Die Wände des Ofens, mit Ausnahme der Vorderwand, werden durch aufrechtstehende Thonröhren von länglich rechteckigem Querschnitt gebildet, welche auf irgend eine Weise zusammengehalten werden. Ebenso ist der Aschenraum und der Backraum unten mit einer Eisenplatte geschlossen, welche vom Boden des Ofens absteht und so einen Zug mit demselben einschliefst.
