Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Zylinderkopf (1) einer Brennkraftmaschine mit mehreren Brennräumen (4) mit Zylinderbohrungen in einer Reihe, deren Ränder an einer Unterseite des Zylinderkopfes eine Bodenplatte (2) mit einer Dichtfläche aufweisen, wobei zwischen zwei benachbarten Brennräumen im Bereich ihrer größten Annäherung ein Abstand für eine Entlastungsrille (8) vorgesehen ist, die eine Länge quer zu einer Verbindungslinie zweier benachbarter Zylinder aufweist, die einen Wert von mindestens 0,25 und höchstens 0,5 des Wertes der Zylinderbohrung beträgt. Die Entlastungsrille (8) weist eine Tiefe senkrecht zur Unterseite des Zylinderkopfes (1) auf, die zwischen 0,75 und 0,9 der Wandstärke der Bodenplatte (2) des Zylinderkopfes entspricht.
