Description
The invention relates to a reciprocating internal combustion engine, which is suitable for heavy oil operation, with a fuel under high pressure leading fuel storage line for the supply of injectors.

The invention has for its object to increase the availability of reciprocating internal combustion engine with simple, space-saving means.
This object is achieved in that centrally in the fuel storage line, a heating element is arranged in the form of a superheated steam pipe, that at each end of the fuel storage line a respective end piece is arranged, which pressure-tightly closes the interior of the fuel storage line, each end piece has a bore, connected to these pipelines to maintain a circulation of the heating steam. When using the invention can always be present at the injection valves fuel at the required temperature and thus the required viscosity. The machine can therefore be approached easily after a standstill phase. Even in operation, compliance with the required viscosity of the fuel is favored.
Advantageously, the fuel storage line is enclosed with the inclusion of an air gap. As a result, the heat loss can be minimized.
Further features and advantages will become apparent from the additional dependent claims and a description of an embodiment with reference to the drawing. This shows a part of a fuel storage line with the adjoining parts in section.
Instead of a heating element through which superheated steam flows, an electric heating element can also be used.
