Abstract
Dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung, umfassend:Polyester, wobei der Polyester eine Verbindung mit der folgenden Formel istwobei R Wasserstoff oder Methyl, m eine ganze Zahl von 2 bis 10 und n eine ganze Zahl von 2 bis 10 ist, und wobei die Glasübergangstemperatur des Polyesters höher ist als 30 °C;Polyurethan-Elastomer, wobei die Glasübergangstemperatur des Polyurethan niedriger ist als 0 °C;Wasser;Hilfslösungsmittel;optionales Tensid; undoptionalen Farbstoff.
Description
- Druckmarken oder Abbildungen auf verformbaren Substraten sind für viele Anwendungen erstrebenswert. Für den Druck auf solche Substrate ist eine dehnbare Tinte erstrebenswert, mit der eine ausgezeichnete Qualität der Abbildung, Robustheit der Abbildung und Langlebigkeit der Abbildung erzielt wird.
- Es wurden bereits Latextinten auf Wasserbasis vorgeschlagen. Latextinten auf Wasserbasis bestehen aus Wasser, mit Wasser mischbaren Hilfslösungsmitteln, Latexpartikeln und Farbstoff, wie zum Beispiel Pigmentpartikel. Die Tinten werden innerhalb des Druckers unter Verwendung von Strahlungswärme und Zwangsluft gehärtet, so dass die Latexpartikel sich zu einem Film verbinden, der die Pigmente einbettet und auf Printmedien haftet. Es besteht weiterhin Bedarf nach einer Latextinte, die erfolgreich auf verformbaren Materialien verwendet werden werden kann. Derzeitige Latextinten sind nicht dehnbar und basieren im Allgemeinen auf Acrylatharz, was zu kostenintensiv sein kann.

WO 2013/033360 A2 - Obwohl bekannte Zusammensetzungen und Verfahren für ihre beabsichtigten Zwecke geeignet sind, besteht weiterhin Bedarf nach verbesserten Tintenzusammensetzungen, die zum Druck auf verformbare oder dehnbare Substrate geeignet sind; nach dehnbaren Tinten, die robuste Abbildungen formen, die in einer hohen Zahl von Zyklen gedehnt und entspannt werden können; nach dehnbaren Tinten, die über eine gute Farbstabilität verfügen; nach dehnbare Tinten, die eine gute Widerstandsfähigkeit gegenüber Umweltfaktoren, wie zum Beispiel Licht, Chemikalien, Wasser und oxidierende Gase, aufweisen und somit hydrophobe und wasserbeständige Abbildungen erzeugen; nach dehnbaren Tinten, die sowohl für Innen-, als auch für Außenanwendungen geeignet sind, und nach Tinten, die digital aufgetragen werden können.
- Die vorliegende Erfindung stellt eine dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung zur Verfügung, die ein Polyester; ein Polyurethanelastomer; Wasser; ein Hilfslösungsmittel; ein optionales Tensid; und einen optionalen Farbstoff umfasst, wobei der Polyester eine Verbindung mit der folgenden Formel ist
- Die dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung umfasst eine Emulsion aus einem Polyesterharz, eine Emulsion aus einem Polyurethanelastomer, eine Pigmentdispersion und Tenside. In Ausführungsformen umfasst die dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung ein Latex bestehend aus dem Polyesterharz, ein Latex bestehend aus dem Polyurethanelastomer, einer Pigmentdispersion und Tensiden. Die dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung kann auf verschiedenartige, verformbare Substrate, wie zum Beispiel ein dehnbares Latexgummisubstrat, Tintenstrahl gedruckt werden, um eine Abbildung mit Langlebigkeit der Abbildung zu erzeugen. Die gedruckten Abbildungen weisen ein überlegenes Verhalten auf den verformbaren Substraten, die sich im Allgemeinen nur unter Schwierigkeiten bedrucken lassen, auf.
- Die dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung kann zur Erstellung eines Gegenstands mit Muster verwendet werden. Ein Gegenstand mit Muster lässt sich herstellen aus einem verformbaren Substrat; einer Abbildung, die auf das verformbare Substrat gedruckt wird, wobei die entstehende Abbildung aus einer dehnbaren Tinte, die aus einem Polyester; einem Polyurethanelastomer; Wasser; einem Hilfslösungsmittel; einem optionalen Tensid; und einem optionalen Farbstoff besteht, geformt wird.
- Die dehnbare Tinte verfügt über eine niedrige Viskosität, die mit Tintenstrahldruckverfahren kompatibel ist. Die gedruckte dehnbare Tinte kann auf einer Varietät von Substraten, einschließlich normalem Papier, beschichtetem Fotopapier und Gummisubstrat widerstandsfähige Abbildungen formen. Abbildungen, die mit der hierin beschriebenen dehnbaren Tinte gedruckt werden, können über Hunderte von Zyklen gedehnt werden ohne Risse oder Aufblätterungen aufzuweisen, wenn sie auf ein verformbares Substrat, in Ausführungsformen einem Gummisubstrat, gedruckt werden.
- Die dehnbaren Tintenzusammensetzungen bestehen aus Polyesterharz, einem kostengünstigen Material für xerografische Anwendungen, in Kombination mit Polyurethanelastomer. In Ausführungsformen ist die dehnbare Tinte eine durch Strahlung gehärtete Tinte, in Ausführungsformen eine durch Ultraviolettstrahlung gehärtete Tinte.
- Die dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung basiert auf einer wässrigen Formulierung bestehend aus einer Polyesteremulsion in Kombination mit einer Emulsion aus Elastomermaterialien.
- Der Polyester hat eine Glasübergangstemperatur (Tg) von mehr als 30 °C, oder von 30 bis 180 °C oder von 50 bis 150 °C oder von 60 bis 120°C.
- In Ausführungsformen wird der Polyester in Form einer den Polyester enthaltenden Emulsion oder in Form eines den Polyester enthaltenden Latex verwendet. In Ausführungsformen ist das Polyurethan eine Polyurethan-Elastomer-Emulsion oder ein Polyurethan-Latex; und der Polyester eine Polyester-Emulsion oder ein Polyester-Latex.
- In Ausführungsformen hat die Polyester-Emulsion oder der Latex ein Volumenmittel der Teilchengröße von 20 Nanometer (nm) bis 1000 nm oder von 20 bis 800 nm oder von 50 bis 800 nm oder von 50 bis 500 nm oder von 50 bis 300 nm oder von 100 bis 300 Nanometer.
- Die Eigenschaften des Polyester-Latex oder der Emulsion sowie des Polyurethan-Latex oder der Emulsion kann durch eine geeignete Technik und Vorrichtung ermittelt werden. Das Volumenmittel der Teilchengröße kann mit Hilfe eines Messinstruments, wie einen Beckman Coulter Multisizer 3, das gemäß den Herstelleranweisungen verwendet wird, gemessen werden.

- Der Polyester kann mit 0,1 bis 25 Gewichtsprozent oder mit 1 bis 20 Gewichtsprozent oder mit 2 bis 14 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht der dehnbaren Tintenzusammensetzung, vertreten sein. Die dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung basiert auf einer wässrigen Formulierung bestehend aus einer Polyesteremulsion in Kombination mit einer Emulsion aus Elastomermaterialien. Ein Elastomer (engl. „elastomer“) wird laut dem Wörterbuch Collins English Dictionary als ein Material definiert, wie zum Beispiel natürliches oder synthetisches Gummi, das über die Fähigkeit verfügt, wieder seine ursprüngliche Form anzunehmen, nachdem eine verformende Kraft entfernt wird.
- Ein Polyurethan-Elastomer ist ein Polyurethan, das sich gemäß der vorstehenden Definition eines Elastomers verhält. Polyurethan ist für seine ausgezeichnete Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen Chemikalien und Wasser bekannt. Die vorliegenden Ausführungsformen ermöglichen eine dehnbare Tinte, die insbesondere für Anwendungen geeignet ist, die im Freien genutzt und/oder Feuchtigkeit oder Wasser ausgesetzt werden.

- Der Polyurethanelastomer ist das Produkt eines Polyol mit der Formel
HO-M-OH
und einem Isocyanat mit der FormelNCO-R1-OCN
mit Diol oder Diamin als Kettenverlängerer. Ein Schema der Bildung von Polyurethan-Elastomer ist nachfolgend dargestellt: - In Ausführungsformen wird die M-Einheit des Polyol aus der aus Polyester, Polyether, Polycaprolactonen, Polybutadien und Kombinationen davon bestehenden Gruppe ausgewählt. In Ausführungsformem hat das Polyol ein Molekulargewicht von 300 bis 5000 oder von 500 bis 4000 oder von 600 bis 3000.
- In Ausführungsformen ist der Polyurethan-Elastomer ein Polyurethan-Elastomer mit einer Urethananbindung mit der Formel
HO-R2-OH
In Ausführungsformen ist der Polyurethan-Elastomer ein Polyurethan-Elastomer mit einer Ureaanbindung mit der FormelH2N-R3-NH2 - In Ausführungsformem ist das Polyurethan ein aliphatisches Polyurethan. In Ausführungsformen ist das Polyurethan ein Einkomponenten Polyester auf Polyurethan-Elastomer-Basis. Solche Materialien sind von Dow Chemical kommerziell als Monothane™ erhältlich. In Ausführungsformen kann der Polyurethan-Elastomer bei Zimmertemperatur gehärtet werden. Polyurethan ist ein kostengünstiges Material. Die Verwendung dieses Elastomers in den vorliegenden Ausführungsformen trägt daher dazu bei, die Herstellungskosten zu reduzieren.
- Das Polyurethan hat eine Glasübergangstemperatur (Tg) von weniger als 0 °C oder von -50 bis weniger als 0 °C.
In Ausführungsformen wird das Polyurethan in Form einer aus Polyurethan bestehenden Emulsion verwendet.
In Ausführungsformen wird das Polyurethan in Form eines aus Polyurethan bestehenden Latex verwendet.
In Ausführungsformen besteht die Emulsion aus Nano-Partikeln des Materials. In Ausführungsformen besteht die dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung aus einer wässrigen Formulierung, die aus einer Emulsion oder einem Latex aus Polyurethan-Elastomer-Materialien besteht, wobei die elastomerischen Materialien ein Volumenmittel der Teilchengröße von 20 Nanometer (nm) bis 1000 nm oder von 20 bis 800 nm oder von 50 bis 800 nm oder von 50 bis 500 nm oder von 50 bis 300 nm oder von 100 bis 300 Nanometer haben. Die Elastomer-Materialien-Emulsion besteht zum Beispiel aus Nano-Partikeln mit einer Größe von 30 bis 1000 nm oder von 50 bis 600 nm. Der Farbstoff kann in einer Partikel mit einer Größe von 30 bis 1000 nm oder von 50 bis 600 nm oder von 50 bis 300 nm umfassenden Emulsion dispergiert werden. - Das Polyurethan-Elastomer kann mit 0,1 bis 25 Gewichtsprozent oder mit 1 bis 20 Gewichtsprozent oder mit 2 bis 14 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht der dehnbaren Tintenzusammensetzung, vertreten sein.
- In Ausführungsformen hat der Polyurethan-Elastomer eine Zugfestigkeit von mindestens 0,5 MPa, mindestens 1,0 MPa, mindestens 3,0 MPa, mindestens 5,0 MPa oder nicht mehr als 25 MPa, nicht mehr als 20 MPa oder nicht mehr als 18 MPa, wie per ASTM D412C gemessen. In Ausführungsformen hat das Polyurethan-Elastomer eine Zugfestigkeit von mindestens 1,0 MPa bis nicht mehr als 18 MPa.
- In Ausführungsformen hat der Polyurethan-Elastomer eine Bruchdehnung von mindestens 150%, mindestens 200%, mindestens 400%, oder nicht mehr als 1100%, nicht mehr als 1000% oder nicht mehr als 800%, wie per ASTM D412C gemessen.
- In Ausführungsformen hat der Polyurethan-Elastomer einen Härte (Shore A) Wert von mindestens 20, mindestens 30, mindestens 40, oder nicht mehr als 90, nicht mehr als 85 oder nicht mehr als 80, wie per ASTM 2240 gemessen.
- Die Kombination aus dem Polyester mit einem hohen Tg und Polyurethan mit einem niedrigen Tg ermöglicht eine gedruckte Abbildung mit ausgezeichneter Dehnbarkeit und sehr gutem Dokument-Offset.
- Die hierin beschriebene dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung kann einen Farbstoff mit Pigmenten, Färbemitteln und Mischungen und Kombinationen davon enthalten.
- Der Farbstoff kann eine Farbstoffdispersion mit einer durchschnittlichen Partikelgröße von 20 bis 500 Nanometer (nm) oder von 20 bis 400 nm oder von 30 bis 300 nm sein. In Ausführungsformen wird der Farbstoff aus der aus Färbemitteln, Pigmenten und Kombinationen davon bestehenden Gruppe ausgewählt. Optional ist der Farbstoff eine Dispersion, die aus einem Farbstoff, einem optionalen Tensid und einem optionalen Dispersionsmittel besteht.
- Mit geeigneten Tensiden lassen sich Polyester-Emulsion, Polyurethan-Emulsion oder eine Kombination davon mit einer Farbstoff-Dispersion vermischen, ohne dass es zu Verklumpungen kommt. Als Folge davon wird der Farbstoff homogen in der ganzen Polyurethan-Matrix dispergiert. Die Viskosität der Mischung kann später für den Tintenstrahldruck angepasst werden. Nach dem Druck auf ein verformbares Substrat und anschließendem Trocknen formt die Tintenzusammensetzung widerstandsfähige Abbildungen, die über Tausende von Zyklen um bis zu 150% gedehnt werden können. In Ausführungsformem können die Abbildungen über Hunderte von Zyklen bis zu 300% oder über Hunderte von Zyklen bis zu 500% gedehnt werden.

Anorganische Pigmente umfassen Kohlenstoffschwarz, Titanoxid, Kobaltblau (CoO-Al2O3), Chromgelb (PbCrO4) und Eisenoxid. Organische Pigmente umfassen Azopigmente, wie Monoazo-und Diazo-Pigmente, polycyclische Pigmente (z. B. Chinacridone umfassen Pigment Orange 48, Pigment Orange 49, Pigment Red 122, Pigment Red 192, Pigment Red 202, Pigment Red 206, Pigment Red 207, Pigment Red 209, Pigment Violet 19 und Pigment Violet 42. Anthrachinone umfassen Pigment Red 43, Pigment Red 194, Pigment Red 177, Pigment Red 216 und Pigment Red 226. - Der Farbstoff kann mit 0,05 bis 15 Gewichtsprozent oder mit 0,1 bis 10 Gewichtsprozent oder mit 1 bis 5 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht der dehnbaren Tintenzusammensetzung, in der dehnbaren Tintenzusammensetzung vertreten sein.
- Die dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung umfasst flüssiges Tintenträgermaterial, in Ausführungsformen ein wässriges Tintenträgermaterial. Das Flüssigkeitsträgermaterial kann ganz aus Wasser bestehen oder aus einer Mischung aus Wasser und einer wasserlöslichen oder wassermischbaren organischen Komponente, die auch als Hilfslösungsmittel bezeichnete wird, einem Feuchthaltemittel (nachfolgend Hilfslösungsmittel), wie zum Beispiel Alkohole und Alkoholderivate, einschließlich aliphatische Alkohole, aromatische Alkohole, Diole, Glykolether, Polyglykolether, langkettige Alkohole, primäre aliphatische Alkohole, sekundäre aliphatische Alkohole, 1,2-Alkohole, 1,3-Alkohole, 1,5-Alkohole, Ethylenglykol-Alkylether, Propylenglykol -Alkylether, methoxyliertes Glycerin, ethoxyliertes Glycerin, höhere Homologe von Polyethylenglycol Alkylether; spezifische Beispiele umfassen Ethylenglykol, Propylenglykol, Diethylenglykol, Glycerin, Dipropylenglykol, Polyethylenglykole, Polypropylenglykole, Trimethylolpropan, 1,5-Pentandiol, 2-Methyl-1,3-Propandiol, 2-Ethyl-2-Hydroxymethyl-1,3-Propandiol, 3-Methoxybutanol, 3-Methyl-1,5-Pentandiol, 1,3-Propandiol, 1,4-Butandiol, 2,4-Heptandiol; ferner geeignet sind Amide, Ether, Harnstoff, substituierte Harnstoffe, wie Thioharnstoff, Ethylenharnstoff, Alkylharnstoff, Alkylthiohamstoff, Dialkylharnstoff und Dialkylthioharnstoff, Carbonsäuren und ihre Salze, wie 2-Methylpentansäure, 2-Ethyl-3-Propylacrylsäure, 2 - EthylHexansäure, 3-Ethoxyproponic, Säure, Ester, Organosulfide, Organosulfoxide, Sulfone (wie Sulfolan), Carbitol, Butylcarbitol, Cellosolve, Ether, Tripropylenglykol-Monomethylether, Ether-Derivate, Hydroxyether, Aminoalkohole, Ketone, N-Methylpyrrolidinon, 2-Pyrrolidinon, Cyclohexylpyrrolidon, Amide, Sulfoxide, Lactone, Polyelektrolyte, Methylsulfonylethanol, Imidazol, 1,3-Dimethyl-2-Imidazolidinon, Betain, Zucker, wie z. B. 1-Desoxy-D-Galactitol, Mannit, Inosit, substituierte und nicht substituierte Formamidene, substituierte und nichtsubstituierte Acetamide und andere wasserlösliche oder mit Wasser mischbare Materialien sowie deren Mischungen. In Ausführungsformen wird das Hilfslösungsmittel aus der aus Ethylenglykol, N-Methylpyrrolidon, methoxyliertem Glycerin, ethoxyliertes Glycerin und Mischungen davon bestehenden Gruppe ausgewählt. Wenn Mischungen aus Wasser und wasserlöslichen oder mit Wasser mischbaren organischen Flüssigkeiten als Flüssigkeitsträgermaterial gewählt werden, kann das Verhältnis von Wasser zu Organischem in den Bereichen 100:0 bis 30:70 oder 97:3 bis 40:60 oder 95:5 bis 60:4 liegen. Die Nicht-Wasser Komponente des Flüssigkeitsträgermaterials dient generell als ein Feuchthaltemittel oder ein Hilfslösungsmittel mit einem höheren Siedepunkt als Wasser (100 °C). Die organische Komponente des Flüssigkeitsträgermaterials kann auch zur Modifizierung der Oberflächenspannung der Tinte, der Modifikation der Viskosität der Tinte, dem Auflösen oder Dispergieren des Farbstoffes und/oder zur Beeinflussung der Trocknungseigenschaften der Tinte dienen.
- Das Flüssigkeitsträgermaterial kann mit 70 bis 99,9 Prozent oder mit 80 bis 99,5 Prozent oder mit 90 bis 99 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht der dehnbaren Tintenzusammensetzung, in die dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung eingebracht werden.
- Die Tinten können auch ein Tensid enthalten, wie ionische Tenside, anionische Tenside, kationische Tenside, nichtionische Tenside, zwitterionische Tenside, wie auch Mischungen davon, einschließlich Alkyl-Polyethylen-Oxide, Alkylphenyl-Polyethylenoxide, Polyethylenoxid-Blockcopolymere, acetylenische Polyethylenoxide, Polyethylen Oxid-(di)ester, Polyethylenoxidamine, protonierte Polyethylen-Oxid-Amine, protonierte Polyethylen-Oxid-Amide, Dimethiconcopolyole, substituierte Aminoxide, wobei spezifische Beispiele primäre, sekundäre und tertiäre Aminsalzverbindungen, wie z. B. Salzsäuresalze, Essigsäuresalze von Laurylamin, Kokosamin, Stearylamin, Harz Amin, quartäre Ammoniumsalz-Verbindungen, wie Lauryltrimethylammoniumchlorid, Cetyltrimethylammoniumchlorid, Benzyltributylammoniumchlorid, Benzalkoniumchlorid usw.; Pyridinium salzig-Verbindungen wie Cetylpyridiniumchlorid, Cetylpyridiniumbromid usw.; nichtionisches Tenside, wie Polyoxyethylenalkylether, Polyoxyethylenalkylester, Acetylenalkohole, Acetylenglycole und andere oberflächenaktive Mittel, wie 2-Heptadecenyl-Hydroxyethylimidazolin, Dihydroxyethylstearylamin, Stearyldimethylbetain und Lauryldihydroxyethylbetain; Fluortenside; sowie Mischungen davon. Nichtionische Tenside umfassen Polyacrylsäure, Methalose, Methylcellulose, Ethylcellulose, Propyl-Cellulose, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Carboxymethylcellulose, Polyoxyethylencetylether, Polyoxyethylenlaurylether, Polyoxyethylen-Octylether, Polyoxyethylenoctylphenolether, Polyoxyethylenoleylether, Polyoxyethylen-Sorbitanmonolaurot, Polyoxyethylenstearylether, Polyoxyethylennonylphenylether, Dialkylphenoxypoly(ethylenoxy)ethanol, die als IGEPAL CA-210™, IGEPAL CA-520™, IGEPAL CA-720™, IGEPAL CO- 890™, IGEPAL CO-720™, IGEPAL C0-290™, IGEPAL CA-21OTM, ANTAROX 890™ und ANTAROX 897™ erhältlich sind. Nichtionische Tenside schließen ein Blockcopolymer aus Polyethylenoxid und Polypropylenoxid, einschließlich SYNPERONIC™ PE/F, wie SYNPERONIC™ PE/F 108, ein. Anionische Tenside umfassen Sulfate und Sulfonate, Natriumdodecylsulfat (SDS), Natriumdodecylbenzolsulfonat, Natriumdodecylnaphthalinsulfat, Dialkylbenzenealkylsulfate und Sulfonatsäuren wie Abitinsäure, die von Sigma-Aldrich erhältlich ist, NEOGEN R ™, NEOGEN SC ™, das von Daiichi Kogyo Seiyaku erhältlich ist, und Kombinationen davon. Anionische Tenside umfassen DOWFAX ™ 2A1, ein alkyldiphenyloxides Disulfonat von Dow Chemical Company, und/oder TAYCA POWER-BN2060 von Tayca Corporation, wobei es sich um verzweigte Natriumdodecylbenzolsulfonate handelt. Kationische Tenside, die in der Regel positiv geladen sind, umfassen Alkylbenzyl-Dimethylammoniumchlorid, Dialkylperoxidbenzenealkyl, Ammoniumchlorid, Lauryl-Trimethyl-Ammoniumchlorid, Alkylbenzyl-Methyl-Ammoniumchlorid, Alkyl-Benzyl-Dimethyl-Ammoniumbromid, Benzalkoniumchlorid, Cetylpyridiniumbromid, C12, C15, C17 Trimethyl Ammoniumbromide, Halogenidsalze von quatemisierten Polyoxyethylalkylaminen, Dodecylbenzyltriethylammoniumchlorid Triethylammoniumchlorid, MIRAPOL™ und ALKAQUAT™, erhältlich von Alkaril Chemical Company, SANlZOL™ (Benzalkoniumchlorid), erhältlich von Kao Chemicals, sowie Mischungen davon. Es können Mischungen aus zwei oder mehr beliebigen Tensiden verwendet werden.
- Das optionale Tensid kann in einer Menge von 0,01 bis 5 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht der dehnbaren Tintenzusammensetzung, vorhanden sein. Es sollte beachtet werden, dass die Tenside in einigen Fällen als Dispersionsmittel bezeichnet werden.
- Die dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung kann weiterhin Quervernetzer umfassen, in Ausführungsformen ein Organoamin, eine aromatische Dihydroxy-Verbindung, Isocyanat, ein Peroxid, ein Metalloxid, sowie Mischungen davon. Die Quervernetzung kann die physikalischen Eigenschaften der Abbildungen, die mit Hilfe der Tintenzusammensetzung hergestellt werden, zusätzlich verbessern. Der Quervemetzer kann mit 0,1 bis 20 Gewichtsprozent oder mit 5 bis 15 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht der dehnbaren Tintenzusammensetzung, vertreten sein.
- Die dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung kann Zusatzstoffe enthalten, wie Biozide, Fungizide, pH-Steuerungsmittel, wie Säuren oder Basen, Phosphatsalze, Carbonsäureester-Salze, Sulfitsalze, Aminsalze, Pufferlösungen, Sequestriermittel, wie Ethylendiamintetraessigsäure, Viskositätsmodifizierungsmittel, Verlaufsmittel und Mischungen davon. In Ausführungsformen ist die dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung eine niedrige Viskositätszusammensetzung. Der Begriff „niedrige Viskosität“ wird zur Differenzierung von herkömmlichen Tinten mit hoher Viskosität, wie Siebdruckfarben, die dazu tendieren, eine Viskosität von mindestens 1.000 Millipascalsekunden (mPa∙s) (1.000 Centipoise (cP)) zu haben, verwendet. In Ausführungsformen hat die hierin offenbarte Tinte eine Viskosität von nicht mehr als 100 mPa∙s nicht mehr als 50 mPa∙s oder nicht mehr als 20 mPa∙s. Bei Verwendung in Tintenstrahldruckanwendungen haben die Tintenzusammensetzungen im Allgemeinen eine Viskosität, die für die Verwendung in diesen Tintenstrahldruckverfahren geeignet ist. Für Thermotintenstrahldruckanwendungen bei Raumtemperatur (25 °C), beträgt die Tintenviskosität mindestens 1 Millipascalsekunde nicht mehr als 10 Millipascalsekunden nicht mehr als 7 Millipascalsekunden oder nicht mehr als 5 Millipascalsekunden. Für Piezotintenstrahldruck mit Ausstoßtemperatur beträgt die Tintenviskosität mindestens 2 Millipascalsekunden mindestens 3 Millipascalsekunden nicht mehr als 20 Millipascalsekundennicht mehr als 15 Millipascalsekunden oder nicht mehr als 10 Millipascalsekunden. Die Ausstoßtemperatur kann bei 20 bis 25 °C liegen und bei 90°C, 60°C oder 40°C.
- Die dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung kann einen beliebigen geeigneten oder gewünschten pH Wert haben. Für Thermotintenstrahldruckverfahren können die pH Werte bei mindestens 2, mindestens 3, mindestens 5, bis zu 11, bis zu 10 oder bis zu 9 liegen. Die dehnbaren Tintenzusammensetzungen haben eine Oberflächenspannung von mindestens 22 mN/m mindestens 25 mN/m mindestens 28 mN/m, höchstens 40 mN/m höchstens 38 mN/m und höchstens 35 mN/m.
- Die dehnbaren Tintenzusammensetzungen enthalten Partikel mit einem durchschnittlichen Partikeldurchmesser von nicht mehr als 5 Mikrometer (µm), nicht mehr als 2 µm, nicht mehr als 1 µm oder von nicht mehr als 0,5 µm. In Ausführungsformen ist das Polyurethan-Elastomer in Emulsionsform in der Tinte, mit einem durchschnittlichen Partikeldurchmesser von nicht mehr als 2 µm, nicht mehr als 1 µm oder nicht größer als 0,5 µm.
- Die Tintenzusammensetzungen können durch Mischen der Bestandteile hergestellt werden, falls gewünscht Erhitzen, und Filtrieren, gefolgt von der Zugabe beliebiger zusätzlicher Zusatzstoffe zur Mischung und Mischen bei Raumtemperatur unter mäßigem Schütteln bis man eine homogene Mischung erhält. Alternativ hierzu können die optionalen Tintenzusatzstoffe mit den anderen Tintenbestandteilen während des Tintenherstellungsprozess zum Beispiel durch Mischen aller Bestandteile und, falls gewünscht, Erhitzen und Filtern, gemischt werden.
- In Ausführungsformen werden die Tinten hergestellt durch: 1) Herstellung einer Emulsion des Polyesters, optional mit einem Tensid stabilisiert; 2) Herstellung einer Emulsion des Polyurethan-Elastomer, optional mit einem Tensid stabilisiert; 3) Herstellung einer Dispersion eines Farbstoffs, optional mit einem Tensid stabilisiert; 4) Mischen der Polyester-Emulsion und der Polyurethan-Elastomer-Emulsion mit der Farbstoff-Dispersion; 5) optionales Filtern der Mischung; 6) Hinzugabe von anderen Zusatzstoffen, wie Hilfslösungsmittel; und 7) optionales Filtern der Zusammensetzung. In Ausführungsformen werden unterschiedliche Tenside gewählt, vorausgesetzt, dass sie miteinander kompatibel sind. In Ausführungsformen sind die gewählten Tenside gleich. Der Begriff „kompatibel“ bedeutet, dass es zu keiner Neutralisation (pH oder Ladung) oder Reaktion zwischen ihnen kommt. Der beste Hinweis hierauf ist, dass sich nach dem Mischen der Polyurethan-Elastomer-Emulsion und der Farbstoff-Dispersion keine großen oder größeren Verklumpungen bilden. Dies lässt sich durch Messung der Partikelgröße charakterisieren. Die Partikelgröße der Mischung ist zum Beispiel im Wesentlichen die gleiche wie vor dem Mischen.
- Ein Verfahren umfasst das Aufbringen einer Tintenzusammensetzung, wie hierin offenbart, auf ein Substrat in einem bildweisen Muster.
- Die Tintenzusammensetzungen können in einem Verfahren verwendet werden, das darin besteht, die Tintenzusammensetzung in eine Tintenstrahldruckvorrichtung einzubringen, und bei dem Tröpfchen der Tinte in einem bildweisen Muster auf ein Substrat ausgestoßen werden. In Ausführungsformen verwendet die Druckvorrichtung ein thermisches Tintenstrahlverfahren, wobei die Tinte in den Düsen in einem bildweisen Muster erhitzt wird, was dazu führt, das die Tintentröpfchen in einem bildweisen Muster ausgestoßen werden. In Ausführungsformen verwendet die Druckvorrichtung ein akustisches Tintenstrahlverfahren, bei dem Tintentröpfchen durch akustische Strahlen in einem bildweisen Muster ausgestoßen werden. In Ausführungsformen verwendet die Druckvorrichtung ein piezoelektrisches Tintenstrahlverfahren, bei dem Tintentröpfchen durch Schwingungen der piezoelektrischen Vibrationselemente in einem bildweisen Muster ausgestoßen werden.
- In Ausführungsformen besteht der Prozess aus dem Druck der Tinte auf ein verformbares Substrat, wie einem Textilstoff, Gummi, Gummiplatten, Plastik, Kunststofffolien, beschichtetes Papier. In Ausführungsformen handelt es sich bei dem Substrat um ein dehnbares Substrat, wie einen Textilstoff oder Gummiplatten, einen Kunststoff, der bei einer erhöhten Temperatur, die höher ist als die Glasübergangstemperatur des Kunststoffs, verformbar ist, wie zum Beispiel während des Prozess des Formens dreidimensionaler Objekte. Bei Verwendung der hierin offenbarten Tinte wird das bildweise Muster bei der Formung nicht beschädigt. Die Gummiplatten mit dem bildweisen Muster können als Umhüllung für ein dreidimensionales Objekt verwendet werden.
- Die hierin beschriebenen Tinten können auf ein Gummisubstrat gedruckt werden, wie natürliche Polyisopren, Polybutadien-Kautschuk, Chloropren-Kautschuk, Neopren, Butylkautschuk (Copolymer von Isobutylen und Isopren), Styrol-Butadien-Kautschuk, Silikon-Kautschuk, Nitril-Kautschuk (das ein Copolymer aus Butadien und Acrylnitril ist), Ethylen-Propylen-Kautschuk, Ethylen-Propylen-Dien-Kautschuk, Epichlorhydrin-Gummi, Polyacryl-Kautschuk, Ethylen-Vinylacetat, Polyether-Block-Amide, Polysulfid-Kautschuk, chlorsulfoniertem Polyethylen, wie Hypalon ®. Die hierin beschriebenen Tinten können auf ein verformbares Substrat gedruckt werden, in Ausführungsformen Silikon-Gummi, Polyacryl-Kautschuk, Butylkautschuk oder Neoprenkautschuk-Substrat und das bebilderte Substrat kann in einer axialen Richtung gestreckt werden (d. h. entlang der x-Achse, im Gegensatz zu sowohl der x-Achse und der y-Achse), in Ausführungsformen mindestens 110%, mindestens 150%, mindestens 200% oder mindestens 500% der Länge seiner ursprünglichen Abmessung, in Ausführungsformen mindestens 50 mal, mindestens 100 mal oder mindestens 500 mal, ohne sichtbare Risse oder eine Aufblätterung aufzuweisen. Die dehnbare Tinte verfügt über die Eigenschaft, dass eine Abbildung, die mit der dehnbaren Tintenzusammensetzung gedruckt wird, in einer axialen Richtung bis zu mindestens 110% der Länge der ursprünglichen Abmessung ohne mit dem bloßen Auge erkennbare, sichtbare Risse oder Aufblätterungen gestreckt werden kann; oder die Eigenschaft, dass eine Abbildung, die mit der dehnbaren Tintenzusammensetzung gedruckt wird, in einer axialen Richtung von 110% bis 500% der Länge der ursprünglichen Abmessung ohne für das bloße Auge sichtbare Risse oder Aufblätterungen gestreckt werden kann.
- Abbildungen, die mit den hierin vorgestellten dehnbaren Tinten hergestellt werden, sind äußerst wasserbeständige Abbildungen, die mit Tinten erzeugt wurden, die einen Wassertropfen-Kontaktwinkel von mindestens 80°, mindestens 90° oder mindestens 95° aufweisen. Die wasserbeständige Eigenschaft mach die hierin offenbarte Tinte geeignet für Anwendungen im Außenbereich oder den Druck auf wasserbezogene Produkte, wie Fahrzeugfolien, Badesachen.
- Die Abbildungen, die mit dehnbaren Tinten erzeugt werden, verfügen über eine gute chemikalische Widerstandsfähigkeit. Sie verfügen über eine gute bis ausgezeichnete Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen Alkohole, Essigsäure, Acetamid, Allylbromid, Allylchlorid, Benzoylchlorid, Ether, Ester, Kohlenwasserstoffe, Blut, Salzlösungen.
- Abbildungen, die mit dehnbaren Tinten erzeugt wurden, haben eine Zugfestigkeit von mindestens 1,0 MPa, mindestens 3MPa, mindestens 4MPa, mindestens 8MPa oder nicht mehr als 25MPa, nicht mehr als 20MPa oder nicht mehr als 18MPa, wie per ASTM D412C gemessen. Abbildungen, die mit dehnbaren Tinten erzeugt wurden, haben eine Bruchdehnung von mindestens 150%, mindestens 200%, mindestens 400%, nicht mehr als 1000%, nicht mehr als 800% oder nicht mehr als 700%, wie per ASTM D412C gemessen. Die Abbildungen verfügen über eine höhere Bruchdehnung als das verformbare Substrat. Abbildungen, die mit dehnbaren Tinten erzeugt wurden, haben einen Härte (Shore A) Wert von mindestens 20, mindestens 30, mindestens 40, nicht mehr als 100, nicht mehr als 90 oder nicht mehr als 85, wie per ASTM 2240 gemessen.
- Abbildungen, die mit dehnbaren Tinten erzeugt werden, bilden eine durchgängige Schicht auf dem Substrat. Die Abbildungen weisen daher mit oder ohne Dehnung einen geringen Farbunterschied auf. Dies steht im Gegensatz zu einigen herkömmlichen dehnbaren Abbildungen, die aus einer Punktanordnung bestehen. Abbildungen, die aus Punktanordnungen bestehen, haben eine schlechte Bildqualität, insbesondere wenn sie zum Beispiel gedehnt werden, verringert die Farbdichte sich extrem. Die Abbildungen, die mit der dehnbaren Tintenzusammensetzung erzeugt werden, haben eine Farbdifferenz (ΔE) von weniger als 5,0 oder weniger als 3,5 oder weniger als 2,0 oder weniger als 1,0, wenn sie um 150% in eine axiale Richtung gedehnt werden. Es ist allgemein bekannt, dass das menschliche Auge Farben mit Farbdifferenzwerten (ΔE 2000) von < 3.0 nicht unterscheiden kann. Farbdifferenzwerte (ΔE 2000) von > 6.0 gelten als äußerst offensichtliche Farbdifferenzen.
- Abbildungen, die mit dehnbaren Tinten erzeugt werden, verfügen vor und nach Dehnungen über eine ausgezeichnete Haftung auf unterschiedlichen Substraten.
- Ein Gegenstand mit Muster besteht aus einem verformbaren Substrat; einer Abbildung, die auf das verformbare Substrat gedruckt wird, wobei die entstehende Abbildung aus einer dehnbaren Tinte, die aus einem Polyester; einem Polyurethanelastomer; Wasser; einem Hilfslösungsmittel; einer optionalen oberflächenaktiven Substanz; und einem optionalen Farbstoff besteht, geformt wird. Die gedruckte Abbildung kann entlang einer Achse um mindestens 110% der Länge seiner Originalabmessung gedehnt werden, ohne dass das verformbare Substrat sichtbare Risse oder Aufblätterungen aufweist. Die mit der dehnbaren Tintenzusammensetzung gedruckte Tinte hat bei Dehnung um 150% in eine axiale Richtung gegenüber einer nicht gedehnten gedruckten Abbildung eine Farbdifferenz von weniger als 3,0.
- Beispiel 1
- Latextinten mit zwei Harzkomponenten wurden formuliert und auf drei verschiedene Substrate gedruckt: Normales Papier, beschichtetes Papier und Gummisubstrat. Die resultierenden Abbildungen wurden nach ihrer Abbildungsrobustheit charakterisiert. Polyester mit der Formel
- Eine Urethan-Elastomer-Emulsion, Precidium™ Aqua 90-A, ein aliphatisches Polyester auf Basis von Polyurethan von Quantum Technical Services (Feststoffgehalt 32 Gew.%) wurde als das zweite Harz, mit einer durchschnittlichen Partikelgröße von 85 Nanometern, verwendet.
- Das Polyesterharz wurde zunächst mit 4-Dodecylbenzolsulfonsäure (SDBS) Tensid emulgiert, was in einer Emulsion mit einer durchschnittlichen Partikelgröße von 50 Nanometern resultierte. Die Emulsion wurde dann mit der vorstehend beschriebenen Polyurethan-Emulsion, der Pigment-Dispersion (Green 7, Feststoffgehalt 19,96%, Tenside SDBS) und Hilfslösungsmitteln zur Minimierung eines Austrocknens der Tinte in der Druckdüse gemischt.
- Die folgende Tabelle zeigt die Tintenformulierungen für die Beispieltinte 1 (eine dehnbare Tinte in Übereinstimmung mit der vorliegenden Offenbarung) und einer Vergleichstinte. Zum Vergleich wurde auch eine Tinte ohne Elastomer-Komponente erstellt. Tabelle 1
Verqleichstinte Beispieltinte 1 Polyurethan-Emulsion - 12,5% Polyester-Emulsion 30% 12,5% Ethylenqlykol 25% 25% Ethoxyliertes Glycerin 6% 6% Pigment-Dispersion 5% 5% Wasser 34% 39% - Die Komponenten wurden sowohl für die Vergleichstinte, als auch die Beispieltinte 1 sehr gut vermischt. Die Partikelanalyse zeigte keine Verklumpung der Emulsionen bei der Mischung. Die durchschnittlichen Partikelgrößen blieben bei um die 82 Nanometer. Beide Tinten hatten eine Viskosität von 3,5 mPa∙s
- Tinten gemäß der vorstehenden Formeln wurden unter Verwendung eines mit 10 pL Patronen ausgestatteten DMP-2800 (FujiFilm Dimatix, Santa Clara, California) Tintenstrahldruckers dazu verwendet, um Abbildungen auf normales Papier, Glanzpapier (Fotopapier) und Plasma gereinigtes Latex-Gummi zu drucken, um Haftung und Druckqualität zu charakterisieren. Die Druckbedingungen, wie Wellenform, Spannung und Substrattemperatur wurden gemäß der besten Druckeigenschaften optimiert und für jede Tinte konstant gehalten.
- Beim Druck auf normales Papier wies die Abbildung, die mit der Vergleichstinte gedruckt wurde, eine gute Auflösung und Farbdichte auf. Die Abbildung bestand ohne Wärmebehandlung den Klebeband-Test und konnte durch Reiben mit einem Radiergummi nicht entfernt werden. Auch beim Druck auf Glanzpapier und Latex-Gummi wies die Abbildung eine gute Auflösung und Farbdichte auf. Ohne Wärmebehandlung bestand die Abbildung jedoch den Klebeband-Test nicht und konnte leicht abgerieben werden. Es wurde ein zweites Prüfstück ausgedruckt und bei 70 °C auf einer heißen Platte zum Trocknen des Prüfstücks und zur Verschmelzung der Latexpartikel Wärme behandelt. Auch nach der Wärmebehandlung bestand die Abbildung den Klebeband-Test und den Abrieb-Test immer noch nicht.
- Beim Druck auf normales Papier wies die Abbildung, die mit der Beispieltinte 1 gedruckt wurde, eine gute Auflösung und Farbdichte auf. Die Abbildung bestand den Abrieb-Test und den Klebeband-Test ohne Wärmebehandlung. Auch beim Druck auf Glanzpapier und Latex-Gummi wies die Abbildung eine gute Auflösung und Farbdichte auf. Die Abbildung bestand ohne Erwärmung den Abrieb-Test und den Klebeband-Test nicht. Nach Erwärmung auf 70 °C, bestand die Abbildung sowohl den Abrieb-Test, als auch den Klebeband-Test. Tabelle 2 enthält einen Überblick über die Haftung auf Grundlage der Abrieb- und Klebeband-Tests.
- Für den Klebeband-Test wurde 3M™ Scotch® Tape benutzt. Das Klebeband wurde mit einer Belastung von 20 Gramm auf die Abbildung aufgebracht, dann wurde das Klebeband vorsichtig wieder entfernt. Dann wurde der prozentuale Anteil einer Abbildung, der durch das Klebeband entfernt wurde, untersucht. 0% bedeutet eine ausgezeichnete Haftung, weniger als 5% gilt als gute Haftung, während mehr als 20% als schlechte Haftung definiert wurden. Für den Abrieb-Test wurde ein Wattestäbchen verwendet. Es wurde 30 mal mit dem Wattestäbchen über die Abbildung gestrichen. Dann wurde sie unter dem Mikroskop untersucht. Keine oder nur eine geringe Oberflächenbeschädigung galt als gute Haftung. Tabelle 2

Nach dem Dehnen konnten keine Risse und Aufblätterungen beobachtet werden.
Claims (5)
- Dehnbare Tintenzusammensetzung, umfassend: Polyester, wobei der Polyester eine Verbindung mit der folgenden Formel ist
- Die dehnbare Tinte nach
Anspruch 1 , wobei die Polyurethan-Emulsion oder der Latex ein Volumenmittel der Teilchengröße von 20 bis 800 Nanometer hat; und wobei die Polyester-Emulsion oder der Latex ein Volumenmittel der Teilchengröße von 20 Nanometern bis 800 Nanometern hat. - Die dehnbare Tinte nach
Anspruch 1 , wobei das Polyurethan-Elastomer eine Zugfestigkeit von mindestens 1,0 MPa bis nicht mehr als 18 MPa hat. - Die dehnbare Tinte nach
Anspruch 1 , wobei die dehnbare Tinte eine durch Strahlung härtbare Tinte ist. - Ein Gegenstand mit Muster, umfassend: verformbares Substrat; auf das verformbare Substrat gedruckte Abbildung, wobei die Abbildung aus einer dehnbaren Tinte geformt wird, umfassend: Polyester-Latex oder Emulsion, wobei der Polyester eine Verbindung mit der folgenden Formel ist
