Abstract

Während eines Zylinderunterbrechungsbetriebes, bei dem eine Kraftstoffeinspritzung für eine Teil von Zylindern angehalten wird und die Kraftmaschine (11) mit den verbleibenden Zylindern betrieben wird, wird ein variabler Ventilbetätigungsmechanismus (16, 17) des angehaltenen Zylinders, dessen Kraftstoffeinspritzung angehalten wird, auf der Grundlage eines Betriebszustandes der Kraftmaschine gesteuert, wodurch die Kraftmaschinenschwingungen während des Zylinderunterbrechnungsbetriebes reduziert werden. Der variable Ventilbetätigungsmechanismus (16, 17) kann auf der Grundlage eines maximalen Innendruckes (P1) eines Brennzylinders gesteuert werden, bei dem die Kraftstoffeinspritzung während des Zylinderunterbrechungsbetriebes fortgesetzt wird.
