In der Fig. 1 erkennt man einen Personenbeförderer 2 in der Form einer Fahrtreppe, aufweisend ein endlos umlaufendes Stufenband 4, eine Balustrade 6 sowie einen endlos umlaufenden Handlauf 8, der in seinem exponierten Bereich 10 auf der Oberseite der Balustrade 6 geführt ist. Man erkennt ferner eine Handlaufreinigungsvorrichtung 12 sehr schematisch, die im Bereich der unteren Landestelle 14 an dem Rückkehrweg 16 des Handlaufs 8 angeordnet ist. Die Handlaufreinigungsvorrichtung 12 kann grundsätzlich an jeder anderen Stelle des Rückkehrwegs 16 des Handlaufs 8 vorgesehen sein. Fig. 2 zeigt die Handlaufreinigungsvorrichtung 12 sowie den Handlauf 8 mit einem Teil der Balustrade 6 und der Halterungs- und Führungsanordnung 18 für den Handlauf. In der Fig. 2 ist die Balustrade 6 unterbrochen dargestellt. Oben in der Fig. 2 ist der Handlauf 8 in seinem Vorlaufbereich gezeigt, d. h. dem Bereich 10 des Handlaufs 8, in dem dieser für einen Kontakt mit den Fahrgästen exponiert ist. Entsprechend ist darunter in Fig. 2 der Handlauf 8 in dem Rücklaufbereich 16 gezeigt. An der Handlaufreinigungsvorrichtung 12 der Fig. 2 erkennt man das Reinigungskissen 20 und die Halterung 22, in der das Kissen 20 derart geführt ist, dass es in eine Richtung auf den Handlauf 8 hin und von diesem weg verlagerbar ist. Man erkennt ferner in Fig. 3 eine Verlagerungseinrichtung 24 zum Verlagern des Kissens 20. Bei der Verlagerungseinrichtung 24 handelt es sich in der gezeigten Ausführungsform um einen Elektromagneten, beispielsweise ein Solenoid. Die Schwerkraft, oder alternativ bzw. zusätzlich eine Feder können das Kissen nach dem Abschalten des Solenoids in die in Fig. 2 gezeigte Ausgangsposition zurückbringen. Man erkennt ferner einen Tank 26 für Reinigungsflüssigkeit. Insbesondere erkennt man in der Fig. 2, dass zwei Tanks 26 für Reinigungsflüssigkeit vorgesehen sind. Dabei ist auf jeder Seite des Handlaufs 8 ein Tank für Reinigungsflüssigkeit vorgesehen. Von dem Tank 26 führt eine Reinigungsflüssigkeitsleitung 28 zu dem Kissen 20. Man erkennt insbesondere in Fig. 2, dass die Leitung 28 für die Reinigungsflüssigkeit an einer zweiten Führungsfläche 30 an der Innenseite der Halterung 22 als Öffnung endet. Man erkennt ferner, dass das Kissen 20 in einer wannenartigen Kissenaufnahme 32 gehaltert ist. Die wannenartige Kissenaufnahme 32 hat an ihrer Außenseite in Richtung auf die zweite Führungsfläche 30 der Halterung 22 gerichtet eine erste Führungsfläche 34. Die erste Führungsfläche 34 und die zweite Führungsfläche 30 kooperieren miteinander. In der Seitenwand der Kissenaufnahme 32 ist ebenfalls eine Öffnung vorgesehen, von der aus die Reinigungsflüssigkeitsleitung 28 bis zu dem Reinigungskissen 20 fortgesetzt ist. Die beiden Dosieröffnungen in der ersten Führungsfläche 32 und der zweiten Führungsfläche 30 bilden gemeinsam die Dosiereinrichtung für die bedarfsgerechte Zufuhr von Reinigungsflüssigkeit zu dem Kissen 20. In Fig. 3 ist gezeigt, wie die beiden Öffnungen der ersten und der zweiten Führungsfläche 30, 34 miteinander in Deckung sind, so dass die Reinigungsflüssigkeitsleitung 28 von dem Tank 26 bis zu dem Kissen 20 durchgängig ist und die Reinigungsflüssigkeit in das Kissen strömen kann. In der in Fig. 3 gezeigten Position ist das Kissen 20 in Anlage mit der exponierten Außenseite des Handlaufs 8, so dass diese gereinigt wird. Claims

1. Handrail cleaning device ( 12 ) for the handrail ( 8 ) of a passenger conveyor ( 2 ), comprising:

a) a cleaning pad ( 20 );

b) a holder ( 22 ) in which the cushion ( 20 ) is guided in such a way that in the installed state it can be displaced in the passenger conveyor ( 2 ) in one direction towards and away from the handrail ( 8 );

c) a displacement device ( 24 ) for displacing the cushion ( 20 );

d) a tank ( 26 ) for cleaning liquid;

e) a cleaning liquid line ( 28 ) from the tank ( 26 ) to the cushion ( 20 ); and

f) a dosing device for dosing the amount of the cleaning liquid supplied from the tank ( 26 ) to the cushion ( 20 ).

2. Handrail cleaning device ( 12 ) according to claim 1, characterized in that the cushion ( 20 ) is held in a trough-like cushion holder ( 32 ).

3. Handrail cleaning device ( 12 ) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the metering device is coupled to the displacement device ( 24 ) such that it is open or closed depending on the position of the displacement device ( 24 ).

Handrail cleaning device ( 12 ) according to claim 3, characterized in that the cushion holder ( 32 ) has a first guide surface ( 34 ) which cooperates with a second guide surface ( 30 ) in the holder ( 22 ), and that both in the first and a metering opening is also provided in the second guide surface ( 34 ; 30 ), which, when they overlap one another, allow a supply of cleaning fluid to the cushion ( 20 ).

Passenger conveyor ( 2 ) according to claim 8, characterized in that the handrail cleaning device ( 12 ) on the frame of the passenger conveyor ( 2 ) is connected such that it can be moved from the ready-to-use state to a state in which the exchange the cushion ( 20 ) and filling the tank ( 26 ) and emptying the collecting device can take place.
