Description

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf Armreifen von hohlem, beispielsweise halbkreisförmigem Querschnitt aus Metall, welche einen Verschluß aufweisen, nach dessen öffnen sie aufweitbar sind, um sie über die Hand streifen zu können. Bekannt ist es, den Armreif aus zwei durch ein Scharnier verbundene Hälften zu bilden und dieselben an ihren freien Enden durch eine V-förmige Spreizblattfeder zu verbinden, welche mit der rückwärtigen Kante ihres freien Teiles nach ihrem Einführen in einen Schlitz in der Querwand des Endes des anderen Armreifteiles die Querwand hinterfaßt und durch einen davor angeordneten Drücker ausgelöst werden kann. Diese Art der Gestaltung des Armreifes hat den Mangel, daß man beim öffnen des Verschlusses unter Zug an den beiden Armreifhälfteil leicht das zwischen denselben angeordnete Scharnier abbricht. Ein anderer Mangel ist es, daß man bei Anlehnen des Armes den Drücker des Verschlusses ungewollt betätigt und den Armreif verlieren kann. Man hat diesen Mangel dadurch zu beseitigen versucht, daß man die Enden der Armreifhälften zusätzlich noch durch einen achterförmigen Drahtbügel am einen und eine von diesem überfaßte Rast am anderen Armreifende sicherte. Beim Zusammenschwenken der beiden Armreifteile a und b bis zum Anschlag ihrer Enden a', b' wird die Blattfeder d gänzlich in den Armreifteil b hineingeschoben und durch dessen Krümmung so gespannt, daß sie unter dieser Spannung mit ihrer Drückerrast g in eine über ihr in der äußeren Umfangswand η des Armreifteiles b vorgesehene Durchbrechung 0 einspringt. Damit ist der Armreif geschlossen.
