Closure on straps of wristwatches. The subject of the present invention is a clasp on straps of wristwatches, with two clasps that can be placed one on top of the other, one of which is adjustably connected to one end of the strap. There are already such closures known in which to adjust a hinged on a link buckle frame is easily seen through which the end of a strap is pulled.
This arrangement had the disadvantage that the entire fastener, and in particular the buckle frame, was too thick and the end of the strap shifted too easily in the frame buckle when it was opened, so that it had to be readjusted when it was closed.
The above-mentioned deficiencies are eliminated in the closure according to the invention in that the two closure members are designed as grooves that are curved corresponding to the lower wrist part, the hollow sides of which face one another and the free ends of which are articulated with one another by a tab which are connected, whereby in the closed position the upper locking element slips over the lower one so that there is a cavity between the two,
in which the connecting strap hinged to both grooves as well as fastening means for the adjustable end of the strap are completely covered, and both connecting links together form a flat, non-jumping closure body.
Thanks to this design, the adjustable end of the strap, as it lies within the groove belonging to it, remains untouched and held in place when the closure is opened so that it does not shift, and since the entire closure body is not bulky and has no protrusions, it does not interfere with anything Wise, not even when writing.
Embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the accompanying drawing, specifically showing: FIG. 1 a closure with straps, in a perspective top view, in the closed position; .
Fig. 2 shows a perspective top view of the opened closure; 3 shows, on a larger scale, a longitudinal section of the closed closure; Fig. 4 shows, in longitudinal section, a variant of attaching the buckle to the adjustable strap end, and Fig. 5 is a plan view thereof; Fig. 6, 7 and 8 show in longitudinal section further variants of the attachment of the Ver circuit on the adjustable end of the belt.
The closure shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 has as the lower closure member one of the inner, that is to say the wrist part lying on the palm side, correspondingly curved channel 2 of U-shaped cross-section made of thin sheet metal and as the upper closure member a channel 1 of also U-shaped cross-section, which turns its hollow side to the lower channel and in the closed position slips over the channel 2 and envelops the same on three sides, the top and bottom of the closure only presenting smooth curved surfaces without protrusions.
The flanges 1f of the upper channel 1 are slightly higher than the flanges 2f of the lower channel 2 and hold in the closed position by lateral clamping on the latter direct, so that the closure cannot open unintentionally. The two closure members are connected to one another by a connecting tab 3 made of a thin sheet metal strip, the two ends of which are articulated to the free or opposite ends of the channels 1 and 2 by means of hinge pins.
One end of the belt L is inextricably attached to the bottom of the upper channel 1 by means of a pin 5f, while the other end of the belt is adjustable on the bottom of the channel 2.
The connecting tab is bent immediately next to the non-adjustable strap end at 3a, so that the part of the strap located behind the Abkröpfimg is in the closed position of the lock on the bottom of the channel 1 and leaves the necessary space for the adjustable strap end and its fastening means free. In the closed position of the lock, the connecting tab and fastening means are completely invisible enclosed in the lock.
To fasten the adjustable end of the belt, a pin 5s, representing a push-button head, is fastened to the bottom of the channel near one end, on which a push-button part 5d is placed, and the end of the belt has a number of holes 4 into which the push-button part 5d fits . To adjust the width of the belt, its end is placed with one of the holes 4 over the pin 5s. In Fig. 3 the belt is set to the narrowest width. The width of the end of the belt is cut so that it is held in place by clamping between the flanges 2f of the channel 2 so that it does not come loose when the closure is opened.
To open the lock, the channel 1 is lifted by pushing the right end upwards using the finger nail. Instead of a push button 5 for fastening the adjustable end of the belt, a hook-shaped pin 5h could also be provided, as shown in dash-dotted lines in Fig. 3 Darge.
In the variant according to FIGS. 4 and 5, the flanges 2 f of the channel 2a are increased over part of their length and have a row of holes B. In the end of the belt, a bolt 6 is used, in which resilient pins 7 sit at both ends, which in the holes 8 fit. To adjust the end of the belt, the pins 7 are pushed in and inserted into the matching holes 8. The upper channel 1 is kept correspondingly wide here so that the pins 7 find space at the side.
In the variant according to FIG. 6, the flanges 2f of the channel 2b are also increased over part of their length and have angled slots 10 extending from the upper edge into which a transverse pin 9 inserted at the end of the belt fits, which menende the Rie in the correct position locked. In the variant according to FIG. 7, the two flanges 2f of the channel 2c are raised at the outer end part and have slightly inclined longitudinal slots 13 which converge towards the outer end of the channel with the bottom thereof. A slide 11, which is fluted on the underside and which is guided in the slots 13 with a pin 12, is used to hold the end of the belt.
In the position shown, the slide clamps the end of the belt and to adjust it is moved inward in the direction of the arrow. The belt pull increases the] strength of the fastening.
8, the flanges 2f of the channel 2d are raised on the outer end part and between the same an angle lever 14 is mounted by means of cross pin 14s, which presses in the undersigned position with the short lever arm on the belt end L and the same stuck. To adjust the belt folds up the angle lever 14 by means of the longer lever arm, whereby the Rie menende is released and can be moved. Here, too, the strap increases the strength of the fastening. Otherwise, the design of the variants according to FIGS. 4 to 8 is exactly the same as in the first implementation.
