Charakteristik des bekannten Standes der TechnikCharacteristic of the known state of the art
Such a method is known from DE-PS 2649757. In this method, the printed paper web is divided by a longitudinal slot into two equal width partial webs in a rotary printing press, then the two partial webs are guided together and folded together along their common longitudinal center.
This four-ply web is severed transversely to the delivery direction and folded transversely with protruding edge. The printed product thus produced is folded with a medial fold extending transversely of the dispensing seal of the product from the rotary machine such that there is a projecting edge referred to as a "rebate." This rebate is required to allow the printed product to initiate further processing with a gripping gripper at this rebate At the end of these further processing steps, trimming is carried out along the edge of the format edge, whereby the minimum width of this rebate is usually 8 to 10 mm in addition to the edge of the trimmings, which is in any case unavoidable 4 mm in width, resulting in considerable amounts of waste, which is a significant cost factor in the production process, with only about 1% to 1.5% of the total refill mten amount of paper.
Ziel der ErfindungObject of the invention
The invention is based on the object, a method for producing a dirty product in such a way that a cost-saving production can be achieved.
Darlegung des Wesens der ErfindungExplanation of the essence of the invention
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Druckprodukts, bei dem in einer Rotationsdruckmaschine eine Papierbahn bedruckt und in eine Vielzahl von Blättern gleicher Größe zerteilt wird, und diese Blätter übereinandergeschichtet und zur Bildung des Druckproduktes einmal entlang ihrer Quermittellinie zusammengefaltetThe invention is based on the object, a method for producing a printed product, in which printed in a rotary printing machine, a paper web and divided into a plurality of sheets of the same size, and these sheets stacked and folded to form the printed product once along its transverse centerline
werden, wonach das Druckprodukt von der Rotationsdruckmaschine abgegeben, vorübergehend wieder aufgefaltet, in dem entlang der Quermittellinie verlaufenden Mittelfalz zusammengeheftet und schließlich an drei Seiten auf das Endformat beschnitten wird, zu schaffen, wobei der bei seiner Durchführung auftretende Papierabfall erheblich vermindert wird.after which the printed product is released from the rotary printing press, unfolded temporarily, stitched together in the middle fold running along the transverse center line and finally trimmed to final size on three sides, the paper waste occurring during its execution being considerably reduced.
According to the invention the object is achieved in that the plurality of sheets of the printed product are connected to each other before delivery from the rotary printing machine at least at one of the transverse to the dispensing direction side edges in the region of the Beschnittrandes.
By this embodiment of the invention it is achieved that the individual sheets of the printed product are connected to each other at this at least one side edge, so that it is sufficient for unfolding the printed product to take the top sheet of the printed product from its free surface. The underlying leaves connected to these uppermost sheet are pulled along, so that the printed product can be unfolded reliably, without it being necessary for a clamping gripper to be able to grasp the free edge of a prefold or backfold from both sides. This pre-fold or Rückfalz can therefore be omitted without replacement, so that you can achieve significant paper savings.
It is particularly preferred that the temporary refolding of the printed product takes place by means of suction grippers. Such suction pads are simply placed on the free surface of a sheet of printed product in the vicinity of the respective side edge, which is sucked by suction of this sheet of the grippers and thereby firmly entrained with the sheet remaining leaves of Druckprodi.
In beiden Fällen ergibt sich der Vorteil, daß beim nachträglichen Formatbeschneiden eine Verletzung der Schneidmesser durch harte Verbindungselemente vermiedenIn one embodiment of the process control according to the invention, it is provided that the connection of the sheets of the printed product takes place at the side edge by gluing, for example hot-bonding or thread stitching. The bonding can be done, for example, the front side of the page edge with a hot melt adhesive. In both cases, there is the advantage that avoided during subsequent format cutting a violation of the cutting blade by hard fasteners
However, it is particularly preferred that the connection of the leaves of the printed product takes place at the side edge by an embossing. Such embossing stitching is known per se. It consists of a small area in which by means of a suitable embossing die, the individual sheets of the printed product are locally entangled relative to the adjacent sheets, so that the sheets are anchored to their neighbors and thus all sheets of the printed product are sufficiently firmly connected to each other at this page margin.
Vorteilhaft ist es, daß die Prägeheftung unter Verwendung einer Heftertrommoi in der Rotationsmaschine hergestellt werdenIt is advantageous that the embossing stitching be made using a staple trommoi in the rotary machine
In a particularly preferred embodiment, it is finally provided that the stapling of the printed product is carried out in the middle fold after re-folding as embossing stitching. It can be dispensed with the usual wire staples, on the one hand interfere with the reuse of the printed product as waste paper and on the other hand occasionally lead to injury to the user.
In der zugehörigen Zeichnung zeigenThe invention will be explained in more detail below by exemplary embodiments. In the accompanying drawing show
Fig. 1: eine schematische perspektivische Darstellung eines Druckprodukts an sich bekannter Art mit Rückfalz; Fig. 2: eine Draufsicht auf das auseinandergefaltete Druckprodukt nach Fig. 1; Fig. 3: eine perspektivische Ansicht des erfindungsgemäßen Druckprodukts; Fig.4· eine Draufsicht auf das auseinandergefaltete Druckprodukt nach Fig. 3.Fig. 1: a schematic perspective view of a printed product of a known type with Rückfalz; Fig. 2 is a plan view of the unfolded printed product of Fig. 1; 3 shows a perspective view of the printed product according to the invention; 4 shows a plan view of the unfolded printed product according to FIG. 3.
In Figs. 1 and 2, the product prepared according to the above-described procedure per se is shown. As can be seen, the present in this process status printed product 1 is folded with a direction indicated by an arrow 2 discharge direction of the same extending from the rotary machine center fold 8 such that there is a designated Nachfalz 5 protruding edge. The printed product 1 is then introduced into a machine in which the Nachfalz 5 is gripped with a clamping gripper 7 and the printed product 1 is temporarily unfolded again (see Fig. 2), so that, for example, several printed products 1 to form a complete magazine or a similar booklet can be plugged together and thus 8 Staples 6 can be used especially in the middle fold to the sheets of printed matter to form a book spine 9 (Fig. 1) folded back and finally trimmed along the format edge 3 on three sides. It fall as a waste strip provided at the top, at the bottom and at the two side edges Beschnittränder 4, and additionally as waste the relatively wide Nachfalz 5. The supernatant, depending on its location to the discharge direction according to arrow 2 of the printed products 1 of the rotary printing press As Nachfalz 5 mentioned edge which is also known as pre-fold, must have a certain minimum width, so that the or the clamping gripper 7 of the subsequent processing machine can attack reliably. Usually, the minimum width B of this rebate 5 is about 8 to 10 mm, in addition to the trimmed edge, which has a width b of about 4 mm. So there are very significant amounts of waste, which represent a significant cost factor in the production. The Nachfalz or Vorfalz alone accounts for a waste amount of about 1 to 1.5% of the total amount of paper used.
Ein Nachfalz 5 oder Vorfalz wie in an sich bekannter Weise nach Fig. 1 und Fig. 2, wird also nicht gebildet.FIG. 3 shows a printed product 11 produced in a rotary printing press, which consists of a multiplicity of superimposed sheets of the same format and is delivered by a rotary printing press in the direction of the arrow 12. In the rotary printing machine for the production of the printed product 11, first a continuous paper web is printed and then cut longitudinally and transversely into sheets which are stacked to form the printed product 11 and folded to form a booklet back 19 about a perpendicular to the discharge direction of the arrow 12 extending transverse center line 18 become. The folding takes place in such a way that the side edges 15 of the leaves terminate approximately flush with each other. A Nachfalz 5 or Vorfalz as in known manner according to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, that is not formed.
Before discharge from the rotary printing machine and preferably before the formation of the center fold along the transverse center line 18, the individual sheets of the printed product 11 in the region of the Beschnittrandes 14 and, for example, at the leading edge in the discharge direction transverse side edge 15 with a plurality of spaced apart embossing stitches 20 are firmly connected ,
Such embossing stitches 20 are known in a conventional manner, they are used for example for staple-free joining of the individual sheets of documents in place of a stapler. Corresponding desk-type embossing staplers are commercially available. Such an embossing stitching 20 generally consists of an elongated narrow, for example rectangular, area in which the individual sheets of a stack of sheets are locally stamped into the plane of the respectively adjacent sheets by means of a stamping die, so that the leaves jam against each other at these punching edges or pinch edges and thereby the adjacent sheets are each firmly adhering to each other in a stack.
In the method according to the invention, these embossing stitches 20 are produced using a stitching drum within the rotary printing press. Such stitching drums are used in a conventional manner earlier in rotary printing presses for the production of wire stitching. For the production of embossing stitches 20 by the method according to the invention, such known stitching drums can be converted with suitable stamping dies. By means of these embossing stitches 20 on the side edge 15 of the printed product 11, the individual sheets of the printed product 11 are firmly joined together in the region of the side edge 15. The printed product 11 of FIG. 3 delivered by the rotary printing machine can therefore subsequently be unfolded again by applying suction pads 17 to the free surface of a sheet of the printed product, as shown in FIG. Naturally, these suction grippers 17 initially only grip the uppermost sheet of the printed product 11, but the remaining sheets of the printed product 11 adhering to this sheet in the region of the side edge 15 are entrained, so that the printed product 11 is moved into the open position of FIG. 4 unfolded.
In this unfolded position according to Figure 4, the printed product 11 can be plugged together with other printed products 11, for example, to form a voluminous magazine, and it can finally be carried out the stitching in the middle fold along the transverse centerline 18, in which the leaves of one or more of each other inserted printed products 11 and optionally an additional cover to form a magazine or a similar printed product 11 are firmly connected to each other. In the described embodiment of the method, these stitches in the middle fold as well as the stitching in the area of the side edge 15 are carried out as embossing stitches 21, which are similar to the embossing stitches 20 explained above.
Such a stitching of the printed product with embossing stitches 21 has the advantage that the usual from the prior art wire staples can be omitted, which not only pose a risk of injury to the user of the printed product, but also in the recycling of the printed product as waste paper are a hindrance. After carrying out the above-described operations, the printed product is folded back into the state of Fig. 3 and finally trimmed on three sides along the molding line 13 to the final format. The width b of the format line 13 surrounding Beschnittrandes 14 is in practice about 4mm. The paper waste caused by this is unavoidable if a printed product with cleanly trimmed edges is to be produced. In contrast, in the method embodiment of the invention, by eliminating the pre- or Nachfalzes 5 whose width B (Fig. 2) in a conventional manner was about 8 to 10 mm, after all, a paper savings of 1 to 1.5%.
