Description

The invention relates to a method for producing from at least three multi-leaflet, superimposed and interconnected partial products existing printed products, in particular books, brochures and the like, according to the preamble of claim 1 and printed products produced by this method.

A method of this kind is in the EP 2 145 773 A1 described. In this known method is based on a material web which has been printed in a digital printing station and which is subdivided into three or four juxtaposed, extending in the longitudinal direction of the material web, printed material web sections. In a first method step, a first material web part, which is formed by at least one of the material web sections, is brought together with the remaining material web part formed from at least one of the other material web sections in the material web fed forward in a feed direction. The two material web parts are then connected to each other along a line that runs between two adjacent material web sections by means of an adhesive. Subsequently, partial products are separated from the material web, which are then stacked to form a stack. In stacking, each partial product is bonded by means of an adhesive to the partial product previously placed on the stack. To obtain the existing from the partial products printed product, the folded and interconnected partial products folded around a line that coincides with the center line of the stack consisting of the partial products.

In the EP 2 159 070 A1 For example, a method for producing book blocks is known in which sheets are cut from a material web printed in a digital printing station, which are folded and then stacked to form a stack, which forms a book block in each case. Adhesive is applied to the folded sheets prior to, or when juxtaposed, adjacent to the side edge which is to rest in the spine of the book block. By means of this applied adhesive, the sheets in the stack, ie in the book block, connected to each other. The book blocks consisting of glued together sheets are finally hung in a cover.

In the WO 02/40282 A1 For example, a method of manufacturing a final product consisting of printed single sheets is described. In a first step, in the region of a side edge of the single sheet (single sheets) applied to this two-component adhesive. The individual sheets are then stacked in such a way that the adhesive jobs are superimposed. Subsequently, the stack consisting of individual sheets is pressed in the region of that side edge along which the adhesive jobs are located.

In the WO 2005/072980 A2 a method of making bonded printed products is disclosed. In this method, from a material web which has been printed on both sides in a digital printing station, Separate single sheet, which are then prefolded and provided along its fold line with a glue application. Then the sheets are stacked astride a stack. The finished stacks are fed to a further processing station in which the trimmed stacks are stacked into a final product, wherein the individual stacks are connected to one another by means of an adhesive.

Das Dokument D1 ( GB 2 257 090 A ) offenbart ein Verfahren nach der Oberteil des Anspruchs 1.The document D1 ( GB 2 257 090 A ) discloses a method according to the preamble of claim 1.

The present invention is now based on the object to provide a method of the type mentioned, which makes it possible to produce with the least possible effort and cost finished finished printed products consisting of several mehrblättrigen, superimposed and interconnected partial products.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a method having the features of claim 1.

Through various processing operations (folding, separating and stacking of material web sections, application of adhesive) on the advanced material web, the various material web sections are superimposed and connected to each other, that then sub-products can be separated, which consist of several printed sheets in the back over a Fold or an adhesive connection are connected together. The finished printed product is obtained by placing these partial products, which are still trimmed at their side edge opposite the bundle, to one another in a stack and in the region of their Back connected by means of an adhesive.

Preferred further developments of the method according to the invention or of the printed product according to the invention are defined in the dependent claims and described in the description of the figures.

Based on Figures 1 - 3 Now, a first embodiment of the process of the inventive method will be explained.

As the FIG. 1 shows, in a digital printing station on both sides printed material web 1 three juxtaposed, printed material web sections 1a, 1b, 1c of the same width. The delimitation between the material web sections 1 a, 1 b and 1 c is indicated by dashed lines 2 a, 2 b extending in the longitudinal direction of the material web 1. Each web portion 1a, 1b, 1c is in sheets a, b; c, d or e, f, etc. of a printed product divided. The demarcation between the individual leaves of each Material web section 1a, 1b, 1c in the longitudinal direction of the material web 1 is indicated by dashed lines 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d.

Based on FIG. 2 will now, starting from in the FIG. 1 illustrated material web 1, a first embodiment of the inventive manufacturing method explained. In the FIGS. 2a-2e the individual process steps are shown in front views.

The material web 1 coming from the digital printing station is moved in the direction of the arrow A (FIG. Fig. 1 ), which extends in the longitudinal direction of the material web 1, moved forward. As the FIG. 2a shows, on the underside of the web 1 in the region of the delimitation line 2b, an adhesive application 4 (adhesive trace), which may be continuous or interrupted, has been applied. During the forward movement of the material web 1, a first material web part 5 formed by the material web section 1a is formed around a line 7 parallel to the feed direction A, which coincides with the delimitation line 2a, against a second material web part 6, which is formed by the two other material web sections 1b, 1c , folded over, as indicated by the arrow B in FIG. 2b is indicated. The second material web part 6 is twice as wide as the first material web part 5. Before the material web part 5 is folded over, if necessary the material web can be perforated along the fold line 7. The resulting from the folding first fold is designated 8. The folded-over material web part 5 becomes in the region of the line 2b at the side opposite the fold 8 side edge 5a by means of the other material web part 6 applied adhesive application 4 connected to this other material web part 6 ( Fig. 2b ).

(siehe Figur 1) zusammenfallen, Teilprodukte 11 abgetrennt. In a second step, the web portion 1c of the other, wider web portion 6 is folded around a parallel to the feed direction A line 9, which coincides with the delimitation line 2b against the folded in the first step web portion 1a, as indicated by the arrow C in Figure 2c is shown. The resulting second fold is designated 10. As the Figure 2c shows lie after this two fold folding of the material web 1, the material web sections 1c, 1a, 1b one above the other. Of this twice folded web 1 are now in a further step along perpendicular to the feed direction lines, with the demarcation lines 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, etc. (see FIG. 1 ), partial products 11 separated.

Such a partial product 11 is in the Figure 2d shown in a front view. Each sub-product 11 consists of three superimposed sheets 12a, 12b, 12c, of which the sheet 12a was part of the web portion 1b, the sheet 12b was part of the web portion 1a, and the sheet 12c was part of the web portion 1c prior to severing. At its the back 13, which is formed by the fold 10, opposite side edge 14, the partial products 11 are trimmed, as in Figure 2d is shown by the cutting tool 15 shown purely schematically. In this sub-product 11, the sheets 12a, 12b, 12c in the back 13 are connected to each other, on the one hand on the fold 10 (sheets 12a and 12c) and on the other hand by means of the adhesive of the adhesive application 4 (sheets 12a and 12b).

Finally, several partial products 11, ie at least three partial products 11 ', 11 ", 11''' ( FIG. 2e ), stacked to a stack 16. In this case, an adhesive is applied to the upper or lower side of the partial products 11 (adhesive application 17) before or during the stacking of the partial products 11, specifically in the region of the side edge lying in the back 13 of the partial products 11. These adhesive applications 17 may be continuous or interrupted or punctiform.

In the FIG. 2e In front view, a finished printed product (final product) 18 made in the manner described above is shown. This printed product 18 consists of the stacked partial products 11 ', 11 ", 11''', of which each partial product 11 ', 11", 11''' consists of three leaves 12a, 12b, 12c. These sheets 12a, 12b, 12c are at least for the most part printed on both sides The partial products 11 ', 11 ", 11''' are permanently connected to one another in the region of their back 13 by means of the adhesive of the adhesive applications 17. It is understood that on the upper side the top or on the underside of the bottom partial product 11 'or 11''' no adhesive is applied.

The finished printed product 18 requires no further processing, because as explained on the one hand, the leaves of each partial product 11 ', 11'',11''' and on the other hand, the partial products 11 ', 11', 11 '''already connected open side edges of the partial products 11 ', 11''', 11 '''and thus also of the printed product 18 have already been trimmed in the course of the manufacturing process.

The stack 16 and thus also the finished printed product 18 can also consist of more than three partial products 11, which are connected to one another as described in the region of their back 13.

Based on FIG. 3 , which represent the FIG. 2 is now a variant of the manufacturing method, which with respect to the above FIG. 2 has been described explained.

This variant according to FIG. 3 differs from the embodiment according to FIG. 2 by a different way of bringing together the two web parts 5 and 6. Therefore, for themselves corresponding features and parts in the FIG. 3 the same reference numerals as in the FIG. 2 ,

In the variant according to FIG. 3 In the case of the forward movement of the printed material web 1 coming from the digital printing station, the first material web part 5 formed by the material web section 1a is not as in the case of FIG Fig. 2 folded over against the second material web part 6, but along a parallel to the feed direction A cutting line, which coincides with the delimitation line 2a, separated from the other, second web part 6, as in the FIG. 3a is symbolized by a pair of scissors 19. Subsequently, the cut-away material web part 5 is brought together with the other, second material web part 6, as in FIG. 3b indicated by the arrow D. The bringing together of the material web parts 5, 6 takes place in such a way that the two material web parts 5, 6 are aligned with one another along one of their side edges 5a, 6a and the material web sections 1b and 1a are congruent one above the other. At the same time, the first web part 5 - same as in the embodiment according to FIG. 2 - Connected along its other side edge 5b by means of the adhesive of the adhesive application 4 with the other, second material web part 6 ( FIG. 3b ).

If the material web part 5 is the same as in the embodiment according to FIG. 2 With its underside to come to rest on the underside of the other material web part 6, the separated material web part 5 must be turned before contacting with the other material web part 6. However, such a turning of the material web part 5 can also be omitted.

The others, in the FIGS. 3c-e shown method steps are the same as those based on the FIGS. 2c-e described method steps. It is therefore based on the description of these FIGS. 2c-e directed.

Based on FIGS. 4 to 6 that represent the Figures 1 - 3 Corresponding to a second embodiment of the process of the inventive method will now be explained.

As the FIG. 4 shows, in this embodiment of a, in a digital printing station printed on both sides of web 1, the four juxtaposed, printed material web sections 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d has the same width. The delimitation between the material web sections 1 a, 1 b, 1 c and 1 d is indicated by dashed lines 2 a, 2 b, 2 c extending in the longitudinal direction of the material web 1. Each web portion 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d is in sheets a, b; c, d; e, f or g, h, etc. divided a printed product. The delimitation between the individual sheets of each material web section 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d in the longitudinal direction of the material web 1 is indicated by dashed lines 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d.

Based on FIG. 5 will now, starting from in the FIG. 4 illustrated material web 1, a second embodiment of the inventive manufacturing method explained. In the FIGS. 5a-5h the individual process steps are shown in front views.

The material web 1 coming from the digital printing station is moved in the direction of the arrow A (FIG. Fig. 4 ), which extends in the longitudinal direction of the material web 1, moved forward. As the FIG. 5a shows, on the underside of the web 1 in the region of the delimitation line 2c, an adhesive application 4 (adhesive trace), which may be continuous or interrupted, has been applied. During the forward movement of the material web 1, a first material web part 5 formed by the material web sections 1a and 1b is moved around a line 7 parallel to the feed direction A, which coincides with the delimitation line 2b, against a second material web part 6 passing through the two other material web sections 1c, 1d is formed, folded over, as indicated by the arrow B in FIG. 5b is indicated. The second material web part 6 has the same width as the first material web part 5. Before the material web part 5 is folded over, if necessary, the material web 1 can be perforated along the fold line 7. The resulting from the folding first fold is designated 8. The folded material web part 5 is in the region of the line 2c by means of the other Material web part 6 applied adhesive application 4 connected to this other material web part 6 ( Fig. 5b ). The once folded material web 1 with the two superimposed and interconnected material web parts 5, 6 is in the FIG. 5c shown.

In a second step, the superposed material web sections 1a and 1d, which belong to one of the material web parts 6 and 5, about a parallel to the feed direction A extending line 9, which coincides with the demarcation lines 2a and 2c, against the other two superimposed web portions 1b and 1c, which belong to each one of the material web parts 6 and 5, folded over, as indicated by the arrow C in FIG. 5d is shown. The resulting second fold is denoted by 10 ( FIG. 5e ). In the manner described twice folded material web 1 is in the FIG. 5e shown. Like from this one FIG. 5e it can be seen, lie in this twice-folded material web 1, the material web sections 1d, 1a, 1b and 1c in this order one above the other.

Of this twice-folded web 1 are now in a further step along perpendicular to the feed line lines with the demarcation lines 3a, 3b, 3c, etc. (see FIG. 4 ), partial products 20 separated. Such a partial product 20 is in the FIG. 5f shown in a front view. Each sub-product 20 consists of four superimposed sheets 21a, 21b, 21c, 21d, of which prior to separation, the sheet 21a part of the web portion 1c, the sheet 21b part of the web portion 1b, the sheet 21c is a part of the web portion 1a and the Sheet 21d part of the Material web section 1d was. At its the back 22, which is formed by the fold 10, opposite side edge 23, the partial products 20 are trimmed, as in FIG. 5f is shown by the cutting tool 15 shown purely schematically.

In the FIG. 5g is shown a trimmed partial product 20, which is open both at its side edge 23 as well as at the two adjacent, at right angles to the side edge 23 extending side edges. In this sub-product 20, the sheets 21a, 21b, 21c, 21d are connected together in the back 22, on the one hand on the folds 8 and 10 and on the other hand by means of the adhesive of the adhesive application 4th

Finally, several partial products 20, ie at least three partial products 20 ', 20'',20''' ( FIG. 5h ), stacked 24 to one another. In this case, an adhesive is applied to the upper or lower side of the partial products 20 (adhesive application 25) before or during the stacking of the partial products 20, specifically in the region of the lateral edge located in the back 22 of the partial products 20. These adhesive jobs 25 may be continuous or interrupted or punctiform.

In the FIG. 5h For example, a finished printed product (final product) 26 made in the manner described above is shown in front view. This printed product 26 consists of the stacked partial products 20 ', 20'',20''', of which, as already mentioned and in FIG. 5f illustrated each partial product 20 ', 20'',20''' consists of four sheets 21a, 21b, 21c, 21d, which are at least for the most part printed on both sides. The partial products 20 ', 20'',20''' are in the region of their back 22 means the adhesive of the adhesive jobs 25 permanently connected. It will be understood that no adhesive is applied to the top of the top or bottom of the lowermost sub-product 20 'or 20'''.

Also in this embodiment, a finished printed product 26 requires no further processing, because as explained on the one hand, the leaves of each partial product 20 ', 20' ', 20' '' and on the other hand, the partial products 20 ', 20' ', 20' '' already connected. The open side edges of the partial products 20 ', 20 ", 20"' and thus also of the printed product 26 have already been cut in the course of the production process.

The stack 24 and thus also the finished printed product 26 can also consist of more than three partial products 20, which are connected to one another as described in the region of their back 22.

Based on FIG. 6 , which represent the FIG. 5 is now a variant of the manufacturing method, which with respect to the above FIG. 5 has been described explained.

This variant according to FIG. 6 differs from the embodiment according to FIG. 5 by a different way of bringing together the two web parts 5 and 6. Therefore, for themselves corresponding features and parts in the FIG. 6 the same reference numerals as in the FIG. 5 ,

In the variant according to FIG. 6 During the forward movement of the printed web 1 coming from the digital printing station, the first, through which two material web sections 1a and 1b formed material web part 5 not as in the case of Fig. 5 folded over against the second material web part 6, but along a parallel to the feed direction A cutting line, which coincides with the delimitation line 2b, separated from the other, second material web part 6, as in the FIG. 6a is symbolized by a pair of scissors 19. Subsequently, the cut-away material web part 5 is brought together with the other, second material web part 6, as in FIG. 6b indicated by the arrow D. The bringing together of the material web parts 5, 6 takes place in such a way that the two material web parts 5, 6 are aligned with one another along their side edges 5a, 6a or 5b, 6b and the two material web parts 5 and 6 are congruent to one another ( FIG. 6b ). At the same time, the first web part 5 - same as in the embodiment according to FIG. 5 - Connected by means of the adhesive of the adhesive application 4 by area of the line 2c with the other, second material web part 6 ( FIG. 6c ).

The others, in the Figures 6d - h shown method steps are the same as those based on the Figures 5d - h described method steps. It is therefore based on the description of these Figures 5d - h directed. However, it should be noted that in the Figures 6d - h the order of the respective superimposed web portions 1a - 1d is different than in the Figures 5d - h shown. Will you also according to the variant FIG. 6 that as in FIG. 5b shown the web portions 1b, 1c and 1a, 1d come to lie one above the other, the separated web portion 5 must be prior to contacting with the other web portion. 6 be turned. However, such a turning of the material web part 5 can also be omitted.

Based on FIGS. 7 to 9 that represent the Figures 1 - 3 and 4 - 6 A third embodiment of the sequence of the method according to the invention will now be explained.

Jeder Materialbahnabschnitt 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e ist in Blätter a, b; c, d; e, f; g, h bzw. i, k usw. eines Druckproduktes unterteilt. As the FIG. 7 shows, in this embodiment of a, in a digital printing station printed on both sides of web 1, the five juxtaposed, printed material web sections 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e has the same width. The delimitation between the material web sections 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d and 1e is indicated by dashed lines 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, which run in the longitudinal direction of the material web 1. Each web portion 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e is in sheets a, b; c, d; e, f; g, h or i, k, etc. divided a printed product. The delimitation between the individual sheets of each material web section 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e in the longitudinal direction of the material web 1 is indicated by dashed lines 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d.

Based on FIG. 8 will now, starting from in the FIG. 7 illustrated material web 1, a third embodiment of the inventive manufacturing method explained. In the FIGS. 8a-8i the individual process steps are shown in front views.

The material web 1 coming from the digital printing station is moved in the direction of the arrow A (FIG. Fig. 7 ), which extends in the longitudinal direction of the material web 1, moved forward. As the FIG. 8a shows is on the bottom of the Material web 1 in the region of the delimitation line 2c, an adhesive application 4 (adhesive trace), which may be continuous or interrupted, has been applied. During the forward movement of the material web 1, a first material web part 5 formed by the material web sections 1a and 1b is moved around a line 7 parallel to the feed direction A, which coincides with the delimitation line 2b, against a second material web part 6 passing through the three other material web sections 1c, 1d , 1e is formed, folded over, as indicated by the arrow B in FIG. 8b is indicated. The second material web part 6 is wider than the first material web part 5. Before the material web part 5 is folded over, if necessary, the material web 1 can be perforated along the fold line 7. The resulting from the folding first fold is designated 8. The folded-over material web part 5 is connected in the region of the line 2c by means of the adhesive application 4 applied to the other material web part 6 with this other material web part 6 ( Fig. 8b ). The once folded in this way material web 1 with the two superimposed and interconnected, unequal width material web parts 5, 6 is in the FIG. 8c shown.

As the FIG. 8c is further, is now on the underside of the folded material web part 5, that is applied to the underside of the web portion 1a, in the region of the delimitation line 2a (which is aligned with the line 2c), a further adhesive application 27 (adhesive trace), which may be continuous or interrupted ,

In a second folding step, the material web section 1e of the wider material web part 6 becomes a line running parallel to the feed direction A. 9, which coincides with the delimitation line 2d, folded over against the folded in the first folding step material web part 5, as indicated by the arrow C in FIG. 8d is shown. The resulting second fold is 10 ( Fig.8e ) designated. The folded-over material web section 1e is connected to this material web section 1a in the region of the line 2a at the side edge 6a opposite the fold 10 by means of the adhesive application 27 applied to the material web section 1a ( Fig. 8e ). In the manner described twice folded material web 1 is in the FIG. 8e shown. Like from this one FIG. 8e it can be seen lying in this twice folded material web 1 on the one hand, the two material web sections 1b, 1c and on the other hand, the three material web sections 1e, 1a, 1d in this order one above the other.

Like from the FIG. 8e is further shown, is applied to the underside of the folded web portion 1e in the region of its side edge 6a (which is aligned with the delimitation line 2a, 2c), a third adhesive application 28 (adhesive trace), which may be continuous or interrupted applied.

Der dabei entstehende dritte Falz ist mit 30 bezeichnet (Figur 8g).In a third, in the Fig. 8f 2, the two superposed material web sections 1b, 1c are folded around a parallel to the feed direction A line 29, which coincides with the demarcation lines 2a and 2c, against the other three superposed material web sections 1e, 1a, 1d, as indicated by the arrow E. in FIG. 8f is shown. The resulting third fold is designated 30 ( Figure 8g ).

Of this three times folded web 1 are now in a further step along perpendicular to the feed direction lines, with the demarcation lines 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, etc. (see FIG. 7 ), partial products 31 separated. Such a partial product 31 is in the Figure 8g shown in a front view. Each partial product 31 consists of five superimposed sheets 32a, 32b, 32c, 32d, 32e, of which the sheet 32a is a part of the material web portion 1d, the sheet 32b a part of the material web portion 1a, the sheet 32c a part of the material web portion 1e before separation in that the sheet 32d was a part of the material web portion 1b and the sheet 32e was a part of the material web portion 1c. At its the back 33, which is formed by the fold 30, opposite side edge 34, the partial products 31 are trimmed, as in Figure 8g is shown by the cutting tool 15 shown purely schematically.

In the FIG. 8h a truncated partial product 31 is shown, which is open both at its side edge 34 as well as at the two adjacent, perpendicular to the side edge 34 extending side edges. In this partial product 31, the sheets 32a, 32b, 32c, 32d, 32e are joined together in the back 33, on the one hand via the fold 30 and on the other hand by means of the adhesive of the adhesive applications 4, 27, 28th

Finally, several partial products 31, ie at least three partial products 31 ', 31'',31''' ( FIG. 8i ), stacked on a stack 35. In this case, an adhesive is applied to this (or glue application 36) before or during the stacking of the partial products 31, specifically in the area of the back products 33 of the partial products 31 lying side edge. These adhesive jobs 36 may be continuous or interrupted or punctiform. As the FIG. 8h shows the adhesive application can be applied either on the top (adhesive application 36) or on the bottom (adhesive application 36 ') of the partial products 31. It will be understood that no adhesive is applied to the top of the uppermost or bottom side of the lowermost partial product 31 '''and31', respectively.

In the FIG. 8i In front view, a finished printed product (final product) 37 manufactured in the manner described above is shown. This printed product 37 consists of the stacked partial products 31 ', 31'',31''', of which as already mentioned and in FIG. 8h each sub-product 31 ', 31'',31''' consists of five sheets 32a, 32b, 32c, 32d, 32e, which are at least for the most part printed on both sides. The partial products 31 ', 31'',31''' are permanently connected to one another in the region of their back 33 by means of the adhesive of the adhesive jobs 36.

Also in this embodiment, a finished printed product 37 requires no further processing, because as explained on the one hand, the leaves of each partial product 31 ', 31' ', 31' '' and on the other hand, the partial products 31 '' '31' ', 31' ' 'already connected. The open side edges of the partial products 31 ', 31 ", 31"' and thus also of the printed product 37 have already been cut in the course of the production process.

The stack 35 and thus also the finished printed product 37 may also consist of more than three partial products 31, which described in the region of their back 33 are interconnected exist.

The adhesive jobs 4 and 27 can also be applied at a different location than shown in the region of the demarcation line 2c (adhesive application 4) or in the region of the demarcation line 2a (adhesive application 27). Alternative locations for applying the adhesive for the adhesive jobs 4 and 27 are in the FIGS. 8a-d shown.

Like from the Figures 8a, 8b shows, it is also possible to apply the adhesive application 4 in the region of the delimitation line 2a on the underside of the web portion 1b. Such an adhesive application is designated 4 '.

As in the FIGS. 8c, 8d represented the adhesive application 27 can be applied in the region of the side edge 6a of the web portion 1e on the underside of this web portion 1e. Such an adhesive application is denoted by 27 '.

It is understood that even in the embodiments that in the Figures 2 . 3 and 5 . 6 have been described, the adhesive application 4 can be applied at any other suitable location (corresponding to the above with reference to FIG. 8 explained alternative (adhesive application 4 ')).

Based on FIG. 9 , which represent the FIG. 8 is now a variant of the manufacturing method, which with respect to the above FIG. 8 has been described explained.

This variant according to FIG. 9 differs from the embodiment according to FIG. 8 by a different way of bringing together the two web parts 5 and 6. Therefore, for themselves corresponding features and parts in the FIG. 9 the same reference numerals as in the FIG. 8 ,

In the variant according to FIG. 9 During the forward movement of the printed material web 1 coming from the digital printing station, the first material web part 5 formed by the two material web sections 1a and 1b is not as in the case of FIG Fig. 8 folded over against the second material web part 6, but along a parallel to the feed direction A cutting line, which coincides with the delimitation line 2b, separated from the other, second material web part 6, as in the FIG. 9a is symbolized by a pair of scissors 19. Subsequently, the cut-away material web part 5 is brought together with the other, second material web part 6, as in FIG. 9b indicated by the arrow D. The bringing together of the material web parts 5, 6 takes place in such a way that the two material web parts 5, 6 are aligned along their side edges 5b, 6b and the two material web sections 1a, 1c and 1b, 1d of the two material web parts 5 and 6 are congruent to one another ( FIG. 9b ). At the same time, the first web part 5 - same as in the embodiment according to FIG. 8 - Connected by means of the adhesive of the adhesive application 4 by area of the line 2c with the other, second material web part 6 ( FIG. 9c ).

The others, in the FIGS. 9c-i shown method steps are the same as those based on the characters 8c - i described method steps. It is therefore based on the description of these FIGS. 8c-i directed. However, it should be noted that in the FIGS. 9b-9f the order of the respective superimposed web portions 1a - 1e is different than in the FIGS. 8b-8f shown. Will you also according to the variant FIG. 9 that as in FIG. 8a shown the web portions 1b, 1c and 1a, 1d come to lie one above the other, so the separated web portion 5 must be turned before contacting with the other web portion 6. However, such a turning of the material web part 5 can also be omitted.

In addition, it should be noted that in in the FIG. 9 shown variant of the adhesive of the adhesive application 4 'is applied to the top of the web portion 1b ( FIGS. 9a, 9b ) and not like in the Figures 8a, 8b shown on the underside of the material web section 1b.

In a variant of the in the FIGS. 8 and 9 The manufacturing process shown, the first material web part 5 is formed only by the one web portion 1a. This first material web part 5 is then as in the FIGS. 8a, b respectively. 9a, b shown with the other, second material web part 6 brought together and connected by means of an adhesive application 4 in the region of the demarcation line 2a or 2b with this second material web part 6. Subsequently, a first, central folding of the second material web part 6 together with the first material web part 15 connected thereto takes place around a fold line coinciding with the delimitation line 2c and then a second, central folding around a fold line coinciding with the delimitation line 2d. The Folded material web sections 1a - e are so far as necessary connected to each other during the first or second folding by means of an adhesive, that in the finished partial product 31 whose leaves 32a - e in the back 33 of this partial product 31 are interconnected.

In an alternative, the according FIG. 9a separated material web part 5 (web portion 1a) with one of the material web sections 1c, 1d or 1e brought together and connected before as described the double folding and bonding takes place by means of the adhesive.

On the basis of the Figures 1 - 3 . 4 - 6 respectively. 7 - 9 described way, starting from a material web having 6, 8 and 10 in its longitudinal direction juxtaposed, printed material web sections, produce partial products, which consist of 6, 8 or 10 double-sided sheets and stacked as described to finished printed products become.

In the following, reference will be made to other variants of the manufacturing method described above.

Instead of the partial products 11, 20, 31 as based on the Figures 2 . 3 ; 5 . 6 and 8th . 9 described prior to stacking on their the back 13, 22 and 33 opposite side edge 14, 23 and 34 to cut (Frcntbeschnitt), this front trim can also be done on the finished stack 16, 24 and 35, ie superimposed sub-products 11, 20 or 31. Together with this Frontbeschnitt can also if necessary, the remaining side edges which extend at right angles to the back 13, 22, 33 of the partial products 11, 20, 31, be circumcised.

In the Figures 2 . 3 ; 5 . 6 and 8th . 9 the adhesive jobs 4, 27, 28 are shown as being adjacent to an associated delineation line 2a, 2b or 2c or to the side edge 6a. However, the adhesive applications 4, 27, 28 applied to the material web 1 or its sections 1a-e may also assume a slightly different position than the position shown in the figures with regard to the associated delimitation line. Furthermore, the adhesive of these adhesive applications 4, 27, 28 can be applied to the material web 1 or its parts 5, 6 from below, from above, from the side or in another suitable manner (see FIG FIGS. 8 and 9 ).

It is understood that in all described embodiments and variants, the web 1 in the digital printing station must be printed so that the printed on the sheets 12a - c, 21a - d, 32a - e of each sub-product 11, 20, 31 pages of the finished printed product 18, 26 and 37 are arranged in the correct order. This is achieved by a corresponding preparation of the print data for the digital printing station.

In all the embodiments shown, the folding of material web parts and sections takes place downwards (i.e. in the direction of the arrows A, B, E). In principle, however, it is also possible to fold over the material web parts and sections upward (counter to the direction of the arrows A, B, E). In this alternative, of course, the adhesive jobs 4, 27, 28 would have to be applied in accordance with other locations.
