Abstract
Εις την εφεύρεση αυτή περιγράφεται μια μέθοδος, η οποία προβλέπει την απομόνωση ενός νέου υποπληθυσμού βλαστοκυττάρων που παράγονται από οδοντικό πολφό, η διαφοροποίηση των οποίων προς οστεοβλάστες οδηγεί σε μια επακόλουθη παραγωγή και εφαρμογή οστικού ιστού, που καλείται LAB (ζωντανό αυτόλογο οστό). Ειδικά η εφεύρεση περιγράφει: 1. Την απομόνωση βλαστοκυττάρων από τον πολφό νεογιλών και μονίμων οδόντων και οδοντικών βλαστών που λαμβάνονται από ανθρώπινα υποκείμενα. 2. Την ανάπτυξη των κυττάρων αυτών in vitro υπό ειδικές συνθήκες που επιτρέπουν την απομόνωση ενός κυτταρικού υποπληθυσμού, ο οποίος μετά διαφοροποίηση προς οστεοβλάστες είναι ικανός να παράγει in vitro μια εξωκυτταρική θεμέλια ουσία, ταυτόσημη προς αυτήν που ανιχνεύεται στον οστικό ιστό. 3. Την χρήση αυτού του επιλεγμένου και διαφοροποιημένου κυτταρικού πληθυσμού προκειμένου να παράγει αυτόλογο οστικό ιστό in vitro, ο οποίος περιέχει ζωτικούς οστεοβλάστες. 4. Την προφύλαξη των LAB υπό συνθήκες, οι οποίες εξασφαλίζουν κυτταρική ζωτικότητα: 5. Χρήση των LAB σε ασθενείς δότες ώστε να επανακατασκευασθεί οστικός ιστός, όπως απαιτείται εις την καθημερινή πρακτική εις την οδοντιατρική γναθοπροσωπική χειρουργική και ορθοπεδική.
