Abstract

Τοπική σύνθεση περιλαμβάνουσα τουλάχιστον 5% κατά βάρος μετρονιδαζόλης ή φαρμακολογικώς αποδεκτού παραγώγου αυτής σε μη- υδατικό έκδοχο. Η σύνθεση μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί στην θεραπεία καταστάσεων του κόλον, του ορθού, της ορθοπρωκτικής και της περιπρωκτικής περιοχής, συγκεκριμένα ασθένεια φλεγμονώδους εντέρου και περιπρωκτική ασθένεια Crohn. Η σύνθεση επίσης ανακουφίζει πόνο και φλεγμονή και προάγει επούλωση του κόλον, του ορθού και της ορθοπρωκτικής και περιπρωκτικής περιοχής μετά από χειρουργικές διεργασίες. Ένα πλεονέκτημα της σύνθεσης είναι ότι η τοπική χορήγηση μετρονιδαζόλης έχει σαν αποτέλεσμα κυρίως τοπικό αποτέλεσμα και έτσι αποφεύγονται παρενέργειες που παρατηρούνται από συστημική χορήγηση.
