Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a anticuerpos monoclonales capaces de reconocer y unirse a la proteína PBP2a y otras proteínas presentando secuencias homólogas a PBP2a, incluyendo los patógenos Staphylococcus aureus resistentes a la meticilina - MRSA, Staphylococcus coagulasa-negativa, Staphylococcus sciuri, Enterococcus spp., y cualquier otra bacteria que posea PBP2a o secuencias homólogas a esta proteína; la invención todavía se refiere a la utilización de anticuerpos monoclonales capaces de reconocer y unirse a la proteína PBP2a y otras proteínas presentando secuencias homólogas a PBP2a en un inmunodiagnosis complementario para la detección de resistencia a beta-lactamas.
