Abstract
1.- El material para implantes sobre la base de un sistema de polímeros de por lo menos dos componentes que al mezclarse reaccionan uno con otro y forman un sólido basado en polímeros, en donde el primer componente del sistema de polímeros es una pasta que contiene por lo menos un polímero en polvo biocompatible y un componente iniciador para iniciar la reacción de polimerización al mezclarse, en donde la pasta se forma con la ayuda de un portador líquido, en donde bajo condiciones normales el polímero en polvo no se disuelve o se expande significativamente en el líquido portador y el componente iniciador permanece estable hasta que se mezcla con el segundo componente del sistema de polímeros y en donde el segundo componente del sistema de polímeros contiene por lo menos un líquido orgánico reactivo, o una solución, o una suspensión de un líquido orgánico reactivo y un polímero. 2.- El material para implantes de acuerdo a la reivindicación 1, caracterizado en que el componente del polímero biocompatible se selecciona entre: homopolímeros o copolímeros de los ésteres del ácido acrílico, ésteres del ácido metacrílico, derivados de estireno, derivados de vinilo o sus mezclas. 3.- El material para implantes de acuerdo a la reivindicación 1, caracterizado en que el portador líquido se selecciona entre: agua, soluciones acuosas, glicerina, ésteres de glicerina, propano diol, PEG de bajo peso molecular, copolímeros de PEG-PPG, DMSO, metil pirrolidona, aceites biocompatibles, o sus mezclas entre sí, o sus mezclas entre sí con otras sustancias. 4.- El material para implantes de acuerdo con una de las reivindicaciones 1 a 3, caracterizado en que el segundo componente contiene, como líquido orgánico reactivo, metilmetacrilato, o esteres homólogos del ácido metacrílico, o sus mezclas. 5.- El material para implantes de acuerdo con una de las reivindicaciones 1 a 4, caracterizado en que el polímero del segundo componente es un éster de ácido poliacrílico, o un éster de ácido polimetacrílico, o un poliestireno, o sus copoIímeros.
