Abstract
Un método para fabricar espejos que tienen una capa de plata de mejorada resistencia a la corrosión, en el cual el espejo consiste en un sustrato de vidrio y una capa de película metálica reflectora sobre el sustrato de vidrio que consiste en: contar con un sustrato de vidrio;sensibilizar el sustrato de vidrio;aplicar una capa de plata sobre el sustrato de vidrio;poner en contacto el sustrato de vidrio revestido con plata con una primera solución que contiene un catión y una segunda solución que contiene un anión o un material alcalino que forma iones oxhidrilo, preferentemente simultáneamente mediante pulverización o de otro modo dirigiendo los chorros de las soluciones de manera que las dos soluciones se encuentren en la superficie de plata, reaccionando el catión y el anión o ión oxhidrilo para formar un precipitado insoluble en agua sobre la superficie de plata, precipitado que aumenta la resistencia a la corrosión de la capa de plata.Un espejo que tiene una capa de plata de mejorada resistencia a la corrosión que comprende:un sustrato de vidrio;una capa de plata sobre el sustrato de vidrio; yun precipitado insoluble en agua sobre la capa de plata.1Un método para aumentar la resistencia a la corrosión de una superficie de plata que consiste en:poner en contacto la superficie de plata con una primera solución que contiene un catión y una segunda solución que contiene un catión o material alcalino que forma iones de oxhidrilo, en el que el catión y el anión o material alcalino reaccionan para formar un precipitado insoluble en agua del producto de reacción sobre la superficie de plata.
