Abstract

Un espejo que comprende un sustrato de vidrio, una capa de plata en el sustrato de vidrio; y un precipitado de un producto reactivo insoluble en agua, en donde el precipitado de producto reactivo insoluble en agua se forma contactando el sustrato de vidrio recubierto con plata con una solución ácida que contiene un anión específico, o un material alcalino que forma iones oxhidrilo por medio de pulverizar o dirigir corrientes de las soluciones de modo que las soluciones encuentren en la superficie de planta, haciendo reaccionar el catión específico y el anión específico o ión oxhidrilo para formar un precipitado de producto reactivo insoluble en agua en la superficie de plata, en la cual el precipitado mejora la resistencia a la corrosión de la capa de plata.
