Abstract

Description

密集型连接器
本实用新型涉及一种密集型连接器,尤其是指一种具有内模成型的多个端子的绝缘体的密集型连接器。
诸如移动电话和笔记本电脑等便携式设备的可靠性与相关的电池提供的电源有关。随着手提设备愈加紧密,密集型连接器安装于其上以在电路板之间传导电能。因此,对设计要求更加严格。所有电池均有限定的寿命,必须在电能消耗完时可以替换。因此,密集型连接器须能经受重复的压缩和伸展。密集型连接器通常包括有绝缘体和多个稳固固持于该绝缘体内所设的端子。在以前设计中,前述固持是由端子形成的扣勾达成,这些扣勾是端子沿平行于由端子所界定的平面方向侧向延伸而成。这些端子是以干涉方式收容固持于绝缘体的相应通道内。但是,该扣勾的设置增加了端子的侧向尺寸,因此减少了相邻通道间分隔壁的厚度,易使该分隔壁遭到破坏。
美国专利5,746,626号案揭示了一种相关设计,其中每一端子包括前插脚和后插脚,这些插脚在插入相应收容槽中后,均抵接在绝缘体的相应边缘附近。而这些插脚的侧端邻接绝缘体的底端面,以焊接于印刷电路板(PrintedCircuit Board,PCB)上。然而,该端子结构复杂,生产和装配时间较长,成本较高。而且,如果插脚不能较好地抵接于绝缘体的边缘上,将不能确保其间结合的可靠性。
本实用新型的目的是提供一种具有内模成型的多个端子的绝缘体的密集型连接器。
本实用新型的目的是这样实现的:密集型连接器包括具有多个内模成型的端子的绝缘体,其中每一端子包括有一接触部、一悬臂、和由接触部的相对边缘向上延伸而成的托架。而托架中部则设有通孔。在冲压和弯折工序中,该通孔可使托架相对于接触部更易于弯折。绝缘体围设于托架外,且接触部与绝缘体的底面相平行。贯穿通孔和凹口而成型的塑胶,可强化端子和绝缘体的连接。
比较现有技术,本实用新型的优点在于:通过绝缘体内的端子上设置的向上延伸的托架,可以增加端子和绝缘体之间的接合强度。
下面结合附图和实施例对本实用新型作进一步的说明。
图1是本实用新型端子的立体示意图。
图2是本实用新型密集型连接器的立体示意图。
下面请参阅图1和图2,本实用新型连接器的端子10包括一个可安装在电路板(未图示)上的接触部12、与电子装置电连接的悬臂14和一对从接触部12的相对边缘向上延伸出的托架22。每一托架22沿接触部12延伸一预定长度,并在相对较远端形成凹口24。通孔26则设于每一托架22的中心部,在冲压和弯折工序中,该通孔可使托架相对于接触部更易于弯折。
焊接孔20贯穿接触部12而设置,以便于将端子10焊接至印刷电路板上。焊接孔20则可使表面粘着焊接工艺有效和准确地实施,以确保当焊接过多时,焊液不会溢出端子10的外边缘而导致短路。
端子10通过内模成型工艺嵌设于绝缘体30内,且接触部12与绝缘体30的底端面相平行。而贯穿通孔26和凹口24而成型的塑胶则强化了端子10和绝缘体30的结合。
从以上对实施例的详细说明中很容易理解,由于贯穿通孔26和托架22的凹口24而成型的塑胶起支撑杆作用,从而使端子10与绝缘体30稳固结合。

Claims (4)

1.一种密集型连接器,包括绝缘体,其内设有多个导电端子;其特征在于:每个端子以内模成型方式注模于绝缘体内;每个端子包括:一接触部、一悬臂、和由接触部的相对边缘向上延伸的一对托架,每一个托架包括有设于较远端的凹槽和设于中部的通孔。
2.根据权利要求1所述的密集型连接器,其特征是:塑胶是贯穿前述凹口而成型。
3.根据权利要求1所述的密集型连接器,其特征是:内模成型工序结束后,接触部与绝缘体的底端面相平行。
4.根据权利要求1所述的密集型连接器,其特征是:每一托架进一步包括设于相对较远端的一对凹口。
