US 5 718 885(Gingold)公开了选自含元素周期表中包括镧系元素在内的IB，IIA，IIB，IIIA，IIIB，IVB，VA，VIA，VIB，VIIB和VIIIB族金属的化合物的微粒在治疗牙质过敏的口腔护理组合物中的应用。更优选地，所述金属选自Y，Ce，Al和Zr，最优选该金属为Al或Zr。
该化合物以水性胶体的形式存在而且在水环境中必须能带有阳离子电荷。它们适宜作为卤化物、硅酸盐、醋酸盐、氧化物和氢氧化物存在。最优选地，它们为氧化物。该化合物具有亚微米粒度。
US 3 573 886(Goetzinger)公开了用于抛光的含稀土氧化物和硅灰石的组合物。所公开的稀土金属氧化物以它们自然存在的状态使用，即含有金属的混合物。该组合物被用于研磨玻璃。
DE 28 02 489(Bayer)公开了用于牙膏的铈盐溶液。氯化铈是优选的盐，同时还举出氧化铈作为例子。但没有公开重均粒度0.5到50μm的镧系金属氧化物。
US 4 165 366(Mellberg)公开了一种含研磨剂占组合物重量40到60％的预防性糊剂。尽管可以使用例如硅酸锆、氧化铝、氧化铈、碳化硅等等另外的研磨剂，但优选的研磨剂为中等尺寸的浮石粉。
GB 2 001 849(ICI)公开了用于清洁牙齿的组合物。具体地说，它公开了镧和镧系元素的水溶性盐。没有公开它们的氧化物。
尽管所有这些都可在现有技术中获知，但对适合用在日用牙膏中的改良研磨剂仍有需求。因此，本发明提供了一种如权利要求1所述的口腔组合物。
本发明包括任何一种镧系金属氧化物的用途，这些金属包括La，Ce，Pr，Nd，Pm，Sm，Eu，Gd，Tb，Dy，Ho，Er，Tm，Yb和Lu。然而，最优选的为氧化镧(La2O3)和氧化铈(CeO2)。
优选地，镧系金属氧化物具有0.5到50μm的重均粒度，优选0.6到10μm。这样的粒度可以按照标准程序用Malvern Mastersizer测定。
优选地，存在于组合物的镧系金属氧化物占该组合物重量的0.01到5％。更优选地占重量的0.2到3％，最优选地占组合物重量的0.6到1.5％。
口腔组合物中的另外的研磨剂是口腔组合物领域中已知的任何研磨剂，包括碳酸钙、二氧化硅、磷酸二钙等。
当其它的研磨剂为二氧化硅时，优选占组合物重量的3到15％。
当其它的研磨剂为碳酸钙时，优选占组合物重量的10到60％。
在本发明的第二个方面提供了占0.01到5％重量的镧系金属氧化物作为研磨剂在口腔组合中的应用。
用于本发明第二方面的该组合物的优选实施方案如对于本发明第一方面所述。
本发明的口腔组合物还包括本领域中常见的其它组分，例如：抗微生物剂，例如三氯生、氯己定、血根碱提取物、甲硝唑、诸如氯化十六烷基吡啶的季铵化合物；双胍类，例如二葡糖酸氯已定、海克替啶、奥替尼啶、阿来西定；和卤代双酚化合物，例如2，2’亚甲基二-(4-氯-6-溴苯酚)；抗感染剂例如布洛芬、氟比洛尔、阿斯匹林、吲哚美辛等：抗龋齿剂例如氟化钠和氟化亚锡、氟化铵、一氟磷酸钠、三偏磷酸钠和酪蛋白；噬斑缓冲剂例如脲、乳酸钙、甘油磷酸钙和聚丙烯酸锶；维生素如维生素A，C和E；植物提取物；脱敏剂如柠檬酸钾、氯化钾、酒石酸钾、碳酸氢钾、草酸钾、硝酸钾和锶盐；抗牙垢剂，如碱金属焦磷酸盐含次磷酸盐聚合物，有机膦酸盐和磷酸柠檬酸盐；生物分子如细菌素、抗体、酶等；香味剂如薄荷和薄荷油；蛋白质材料如胶原蛋白；防腐剂；遮光剂；染色剂；pH调节剂；甜味剂；药学上可接受的载体例如淀粉、蔗糖、水或水/乙醇系统等；表面活性剂如阴离子、非离子、阳离子和两性离子或两性表面活性剂；微粒研磨剂材料例如二氧化硅、氧化铝、碳酸钙、磷酸二钙、焦磷酸钙、羟基磷灰石、三偏磷酸盐、不溶解的六偏磷酸盐等，包括团聚的微粒研磨剂材料，通常用量占口腔护理组合物重量的3和60％之间；保湿剂如甘油、山梨糖醇、丙二醇、木糖醇、乳糖醇等；粘合剂和增稠剂如羧甲基纤维素钠、黄原胶、阿拉伯胶等，以及合成聚合物如聚丙烯酸酯和羧基乙烯基聚合物如Carbopol；也可包括可以增强活性成分如抗微生物剂的输送的聚合物；用于缓冲口腔护理组合物的pH和离子强度的缓冲剂和盐；以及其它可以包括的任选存在的成分，例如，诸如过氧化合物等漂白剂，如过氧二磷酸钾，泡腾系统例如碳酸氢钠/柠檬酸系统，色变系统，等等。
脂质体也可以用于提高活性成分的输送或稳定性。
口腔组合物可以采用本领域的任何常规剂型，例如牙膏、凝胶、摩丝、气雾剂、口香糖、糖锭、散剂、乳膏等，并且也可以被制成用于双室型分配器的系统。
本发明的口腔组合物采用本领域技术人员公知的标准方案制成。
实施例
以下实验举例说明氧化铈和氧化镧与研磨剂二氧化硅合用的令人惊讶的效果。
根据A Laboratory Method for Assessment of Dentifrice Abrasivity，JJHefferren，Journal Dent Res Vol 55 No 4 563-573(1976)中所述方案测定RDA。
根据In vitro removal of stain with dentifrices GK Stookey，TA Burkhard andBR Schemehorn Journal Dent Res Vol 61 No 11 1236-1239(1982)中所述方案测定PCR。
氧化铈和氧化镧均可购自Aldrich。
氧化铈(IV)粉末，cat no：21，157-5。
氧化镧，cat no：19，992-3。

因此，显然将氧化铈或氧化镧加入到含研磨剂二氧化硅的标准牙膏导致PCR改善而未使得RDA有预期的增加。

Claims (7)

1.以含镧系金属氧化物和另一种研磨剂的混合物作为研磨剂的口腔组合物，其特征在于镧系金属氧化物具有0.5到50μm的重均粒度。
2.如权利要求1所述的口腔组合物，其中另外的研磨剂选自二氧化硅、碳酸钙及其混合物。
3.前面任一权利要求所述的口腔组合物，其中镧系金属氧化物是氧化镧或氧化铈。
4.前面任一权利要求所述的口腔组合物，其中镧系金属氧化物具有0.6到10μm的重均粒度。
5.前面任一权利要求所述的口腔组合物，其中另外的研磨剂是碳酸钙并占组合物重量的10到60％。
6.权利要求1-4任一所述的口腔组合物，其中另外的研磨剂是二氧化硅并占3到15％重量。
7.占0.01到5％重量的镧系金属氧化物在口腔组合物中作为研磨剂的应用。
