技术领域
本发明涉及一种配有内部打印机的数字相册。具体地,但不是专门地,本发明涉及一种配有按需滴出式(drop-on-demand)页宽喷墨打印头的数字相册,且在该数字相册主体内设置有打印介质供应源。
背景技术
通常数字相册是一种便携式的电子设备,该电子设备容纳其上存储一个或者多个数字图像的电子存储卡。数字相册内部的读卡器从该卡提取图像数据并将图像显示在构成部分数字相册的电子显示屏上。
数字相册提供一种传递数字图像的便捷方式,采用该方式可以实现快速自动的图像显示。此外,数字相册能够包括图像控制软件,该软件根据可程式化的特征集而改变在所的图像。这些图像增加技术可用于产生和程艺术效果以及实现添加文件、标识等。图像增加功能也可以是去除不需要的图像部分,诸如各种脏痕,并且也可以是进行旋转和摆动修正。在我们的共同未决申请USSN 09/112,786中可以找到图像处理软件的实例,通过引用将该申请的内容依法并入本文中。在我们的共同未决申请USSN 09/113,070、09/112,777、09/113,224、09/112,804、09/112,797、09/112,796、09/113,071、09/113,091、09/112,753、09/113,055、09/113,057以及09/113,054中可以找到图像处理软件的实例,通过引用将这些申请的内容依法并入本文中。
但是如果需要对任一或者多幅图像进行打印输出的话,则这种现有的便携式数字相册的好处将大大丧失。为打印一幅图像,必须将现有技术的数字相册连接到一个与相册兼容的打印装置,这样需要增加额外的接线,从而降低了相册的便携性。或者,可以将数字相册内存储图像的数字存储介质转接到另外一个计算机,该计算机具有读取该图像的可兼容的软件并且与一个打印机相连。以上每一种备选方案只有在这些计算装置都及时准备好时才能够实现。因此作为一种传输数字图像的功能介质,现有技术的数字相册还未发挥最大潜力。
发明内容
本发明的一个目的是克服或者充分改善至少以上缺点之一。
本发明的另外一个目的是提供一种具有图像增强能力和内置打印机的数字相册。
本发明的又一目的是提供一种图像增强的数字相册,可不经过将该数字相册连接到额外的计算机或者打印装置而通过该数字相册得到一幅增强的打印图像。
本发明还有一个目的是提供一种配有内置打印机的图像增强的数字相册,该内置打印机能够打印相片尺寸的图像。
本文公开一种数字相册,包括数字图像存储装置,用于修改存储图像的装置,用于电子显示已修改图像的图像显示装置,用于打印已修改图像的内置打印装置以及图像控制装置,该图像控制装置允许用户对上述图像存储装置所存储的已修改的图像进行选择性地显示和打印。

图8所示为配有一个压盖装置的打印头子组件在其覆盖状态的剖面端视图。

具体实施方式
在附图的图1到10中,参考数字500通常代表一个如本发明所述的打印引擎。打印引擎500包括一个打印引擎组件502,其上可安装一个可更换的打印辊盒504。
在我们的共同未决申请PCT/AU00/00741以及PCT/AU00/00742中分别对此打印盒504进行了更加详细的说明,通过引用将其公开内容引入本文中。
打印引擎组件502包括一个第一子组件506以及一个第二打印头子组件508。
该子组件506包括一个机架510。该机架510包括第一模制件512,其中模制有供墨沟道514。该供墨沟道514从打印墨盒504向打印头子组件508的一个打印头516(图5到图7)供墨。该打印头516采用四种颜色或者三种颜色以及墨水而进行打印,该墨水只有在红外光谱中可见(以下称为“红外墨水”)。因此,在模制件512内设置了四个供墨沟道514以及一个供气沟道518。该供气沟道518向打印头516供应空气以防止在打印头516的喷嘴护罩上累积外物颗粒。
该机架510还包括一个盖模制件(cover molding)520。在该盖模制件520上安装一个泵522。该泵522是一个抽气泵,该抽气泵通过进气插管524和进气孔526抽取打印墨盒504内空气过滤器中的空气。通过出气孔528将空气排出进入到机架510的供气沟道518。
机架510上还安装一个采用步进马达530形式的第一驱动马达。该步进马达530通过第一传动机构532驱动泵522。该步进马达530通过第二传动机构538也与该打印墨盒504的辊装置536的驱动辊534(图5)连接。该传动机构538与安装在驱动辊534一端的一个可啮合元件540(图2)衔接。这样,步进马达530控制向子组件508的打印头516馈送打印介质542,以实现当打印介质542在打印头516下面经过时将一幅图像打印在其上。同样需要注意的是:当步进马达530仅工作用于推进打印介质542时,泵522仅工作用于当打印介质542上发生打印时对打印头516吹气。
机架510的模制件512上也安装有多个体现为插管544形式的供墨导管,该插管544与供墨沟道514相连通。该供墨插管544穿过打印墨盒504的一弹性材料套圈部件546而插入打印墨盒,以从打印墨盒504的墨腔或者储墨器548(图5)中抽取墨水以供应到打印头516。
第二马达550,是一种直流(DC)马达,通过多个夹片552而安装在机架510的盖模制件520上。设置马达550以驱动形式为一个切割器臂状组件554的一个分离装置,以便在打印介质542的一段上已打印图像之后,将该段打印介质542与剩余的打印介质分开。马达550在其输出轴上装有一个锥齿轮556。该锥齿轮556与一个安装在切割器组件554的蜗轮560上的一个锥齿轮558啮合。将蜗轮560经由打印头组件508的机架底盘564内的轴承562可旋转地安装。
切割器组件554包括一个切割轮556,该轮由一个安装块上的一个可伸缩的弹性臂568支持。蜗轮560通过安装块570的方式是:当蜗轮560旋转时,安装块570和切割轮566横向穿越机架底盘564。安装块570紧靠底盘564的凸缘572以防止安装块570相对蜗轮560的旋转。另外,为实现对打印介质542的切割,将切割轮566紧靠在打印头子组件508的上部机架或者盖部574。此盖部574是一个金属部分。这样,当切割轮566横向穿过该压盖部分574时,对打印介质进行一种类似剪刀切割的动作,以分离其上已打印有图像的打印介质542部分。
子组件506包括一个弹射装置576。该弹射装置576安装在机架510上,并且具有一个配有扣件580的挡圈(collar)578,该钢轨扣件将弹射装置576夹扣并固定在机架510上。在挡圈中安装有一个弹性材料的衬垫582。该弹性材料衬垫582设有多个开孔584。开孔584封住了插管544的进气孔,以阻止外物颗粒侵入到插管544,并且同样阻止外物颗粒进入到沟道514和打印头516。此外,为达到上述相同目的,衬垫584设有一个平边或者平台586,该平台586封阻进气插管524的进气孔。
在机架510和挡圈578之间设置卷簧588,以便在从打印引擎500上拆卸墨盒504时推动挡圈578使其与机架510间隔一段距离,具体如附图中图3所示。附图的图4所示为处于退出状态的拆卸器装置576。
如上所述打印头子组件508包括底盘564。将一个压盖装置590可移位地安装在底盘564上,以便可移位地朝向和背离打印头516。压盖装置590包括一个加长凸缘(rib)592,安装在一个载体593之上。载体593由一个移位装置594支持,当打印头516不工作时该移位装置将凸缘592移动到打印头516邻近。反之,当打印头516工作时,移位装置594运行以将凸缘592从打印头516的邻近位置拉回。
子组件打印头子组件508包括一个打印头支承模制件596,其上安装打印头516。模制件516,同装配在支承模制件596内的衬垫599共同确定一个通道598,当要将一个图像打印在打印介质之上时,打印介质经该通道而传送。在托模596之中制作凹槽700,当压盖装置590处于加盖状态时,压盖装置590经过该凹槽而探出。
由压盖部分574之下的衬垫599支承一个进墨装置702。进墨装置702包括一个隆起部分704和一个安装在隆起部分704上的外壳706。在隆起部分704和外壳706之间设置有进墨沟道708,该进墨沟道708与机架510内的供墨沟道514相连通,用于通过通道710(图7)而向打印头516进送墨水。
在隆起部分704内与打印头516并行设置了供气沟道711(图8)。
通过TAB膜712将电信号提供到打印头516,该TAB膜被紧密束缚在衬垫599和进墨装置702之间。
模制件596包括一个具有一定角度的翼部714。将一个挠性的印刷电路板(PCB)716安装并固定在翼部714之上。通过衬垫599的凸缘718推动该挠性PCB716与TAB膜712相接合而使该挠性PCB716与TAB膜712电性连接。在该挠性PCB716上安装汇流条720。该汇流条720对打印头516和其他打印引擎500的动力元件供电。此外,将一个照相打印引擎控制芯片721和一个QA芯片(图中未示)一同安装在该挠性PCB716上,该QA芯片鉴别打印盒504与打印引擎500是否兼容一致。为实现此目的,该PCB716包括多个触点723,所述触点723与打印盒504中的多个接触点725连接。
如附图的图7中所给予的更加明确的图解,打印头自身包括一个喷嘴护罩722,装配在硅晶片724之上。通过供墨元件726将墨水供应到打印头516的喷嘴阵列(未示)。供墨元件726与进墨装置702的通道出口710相通,用于根据需要向打印头516的喷嘴阵列进墨。
在图10中,对用于向打印头516供气的供气通路给予细致的显示。如图所示,泵522包括一个叶轮728,由一个端盖730将其封闭。机架的盖模制件520形成叶轮728的容器732。盖模制件520具有进气孔734和出气孔736。进气孔734与插管524相通。出气孔736向供气沟道518送气,在图10中,以黑色实线表示供气沟道518。将由供气沟道518所进送的空气吹送进打印头516,以实现对打印头的清理。通过泵522而抽入的空气由空气过滤器738过滤,将该空气过滤器容纳在打印盒504中。空气过滤器738具有一个过滤件740,该过滤件可以是由纸制作的或者由其他某种适于过滤的介质来制作。该过滤件740容纳在一个罐中,该罐具有一个底742以及一个盖744。在盖744中具有一个开孔746。开孔746被膜片748封闭,插管524穿入该膜片748。将空气过滤器738设置在打印盒504内的优点在于:当更换打印盒504时空气过滤器738也被更换。
本发明的一个优点在于:由步进马达530对空气泵522进行驱动,该步进马达也控制向打印头516进送打印介质。采用这种配置,使打印引擎所需的元件数目更少,因此使其更加小巧。此外,由于采用同一马达530来操作空气泵522并向打印头516进送打印介质542,因此打印引擎500包括了更少的耗电元件,使其更加小巧并且使其制作成本更低。
还需注意的是:为使打印引擎500更加简洁,对打印引擎组件502的尺寸进行设置,使组件502的大多数元件嵌入打印盒504一端的覆盖区。
如图11所示为一个配有内部打印机的数字相册。数字相册901包括一个主体部分902,容纳打印机和相册的主要电路系统。将显示屏幕904,优选地采用相片尺寸,即6″×4″,可绕绞式接合件905旋转地连接到主体部分902。屏幕904在闭合状态(图12)和打开状态(图11)间枢转,在闭合状态时屏幕位于主体部分902附近,因此允许安全传输,而在打开状态时屏幕对用户是可见的。
在主体902的侧面设置第一插槽908,用于插接其中存储有数字图像的存储卡909。第二插槽915插接包含图像修改特征集的图像增强卡916。在主体902之内设有与存储卡908兼容的存储卡读取器(未示),该读卡器用于从存储卡908中提取存储的图像数据。类似的读卡器从增强卡916中提取图像修改特性。
编入图像增强卡中程序化的特性能够以一种或者多种已知的方法而修改图像,例如,通过增加标准背景或者文本的方式,通过涂掉(blurring)、复制、颜色变换等方式。
主体部分902包括一个位于其上表面的控制面板906,该控制面板906包括对包括有打印机功能的相册的功能进行操作所需要的所有按键。利用该控制面板,用户能够选择性地观看存储在存储卡909中的任何图像,利用程序化的图像增强软件控制图像,增加文本和/或标识,并且能够选择性地打印任何所显示或者所存储的图像。
位于主体前端的一个槽口910用于弹出已打印的图像。
在图14中以框图的形式对配有内部打印机的数字相册的主要内元件进行了说明。打印机通常采用一种单片打印头814,该打印头与参考图1到10所述的打印头相同,但是也可以选择另外一种小型打印头,该打印头能够实现在相片尺寸的打印介质上进行打印。自存储卡909中得到的图像数据通过图像增强处理器815而运行至显示屏幕904。自显示屏幕904和/或增强处理器815中的图像数据传送到控制打印头814的打印引擎控制器813。
一个与打印引擎控制器相连的微控制器807控制马达驱动器809,该马达驱动器809顺序驱动介质传输装置810。该马达驱动器可以与前述的步进马达530相同。
微控制器807也控制一个马达驱动器811,该马达驱动器顺序地控制一个切纸器马达812,以便在打印图像后从内置打印介质卷中切割一段已被打印的纸段。采用920表示图11所示的由介质传输装置819所传送的一段纸。该切纸器可以采用前面所述的切割轮566的形式。
当准备就绪时,可以按下控制面板上的打印机控制按键,以启动打印引擎控制器对来自内存的或者为从显示屏幕转储的已修改的一幅图像进行打印。这样将依次启动微控制器807以启动介质传送810和切纸器812。
图12所示为处于闭合状态的数字相册的内部视图。将如上所述的打印引擎500和打印介质通道598设置接近主体902后端的位置,打印介质542通过该打印介质通道598并被引导至打印介质弹出器槽口910。由于设置在接近主体后部的位置的打印引擎500,特别是打印辊盒504是主体内最大的组件,所以将相册放置在一个水平表面时,控制面板906呈倾斜状态,这种配置对于用户是舒适的。
主体902包括一个可打开部分912,通过枢纽913将其可绕枢轴旋转地连接,并通过一个钩固件(catch)914使其在闭合状态固定。打开该部分(图13)可以对打印辊盒504进行拆卸。对可更换打印辊盒的更多细致说明参见前述我们的共同未决的申请案号CA02。
屏幕904的大小与打印头的宽度相匹配,以便使所显示的和打印的图像具有相同的大小。优选地屏幕显示一个规则的6″×4″相片图像,并且打印机采用一个4″打印头。
在对本发明的具体实施例给予说明之后,熟悉本领域的技术人员将明确:在不违反本发明的本质特征的情况下也可以将本发明以其他具体方式体现。因此在各个方面应将本发明的实施例和实例理解为说明性的而不是限制性的,本发明的范围应该由所附的权利要求来限定,而不是由前述说明来限定,因此,将不超出权利要求的涵义和其等效范围之内的任何改变都包括在本发明的范围之中。此外还应明确:任何本文中有关现有技术的引用,除非出现相反指示,并不是承认:该技术对于本发明所涉及的领域的技术人员是公知的。
Claims (14)
1.一种数字相册,包括数字图像存储装置,用于修改存储图像的装置,用于电子显示已修改图像的图像显示装置,用于打印已修改图像的内置打印装置以及图像控制装置,该图像控制装置允许用户对上述图像存储装置所存储的已修改的图像进行选择性地显示和打印。
2.如权利要求1所述的数字相册,其特征在于,根据预编程的特征集对图像进行修改。
3.如权利要求2所述的数字相册,其特征在于,所述的预编程的特征集存储在可拆卸的介质中,所述数字相册进一步包括用于从所述可拆卸介质检索所述的特征集。
4.如权利要求1所述的数字相册,包括一个与所述显示屏幕装置相连的主体,该主体容纳所述打印装置和所述的数字图像存储装置。
5.如权利要求4所述的数字相册,其特征在于,所述的数字图像存储装置可从所述的主体折卸。
6.如权利要求4所述的数字相册,其特征在于,所述的打印机装置包括打印介质供应源。
7.如权利要求6所述的数字相册,其特征在于,所述主体包括一个可打开的盖部分,可以通过该可打开的盖部分而将打印装置的一部分,包括打印介质和/或墨盒拆除。
8.如权利要求4所述的数字相册,其特征在于,所述主体包括一个控制面板,该控制面板包括用于操作所述打印装置的装置。
9.如权利要求8所述的数字相册,其特征在于,将所述打印装置设置在该主体之内,以便在将数字相册放置在一个水平表面时,该控制面板相对于水平面倾斜。
10.如权利要求1所述的数字相册,其特征在于,所显示的图像的尺寸和由所述打印机打印的打印图像的尺寸是基本相等的。
11.如权利要求10所述的数字相册,其特征在于,所打印的图像的尺寸基本为6″×4″。
12.如权利要求1所述的数字相册,其特征在于,所述打印装置包括一个单片页宽打印头。
13.如权利要求12所述的数字相册,其特征在于,所述打印头是一个喷墨打印头。
14.如权利要求12所述的数字相册,其特征在于,所述打印头基本为4″宽。
