Abstract

一种片状的光数据载体(1),它具有一个信息记录层,在所述信息记录层的表面上布置有用于数字信息的存储区。所述的数据载体具有一种用于读取和/或写入装置的接收元件的穿透开口。为了尤其提高把许多这种数据载体装入譬如信封时的舒适性,建议所述数据载体(1)的厚度(4)小于DVD型标准化数据载体的厚度,且大于DVD型标准化数据载体的信息记录层的厚度与所需要的最小载体层的总和。此外,还建议了一种用于接收所述数据载体的适配器。因此建议了一种数据载体,它完全兼容地统一了在世界范围内流行的格式:DVD-ROM或DVD视频,信用卡,芯片卡,具有磁条的支票卡和智能卡(譬如:电话卡)等等。也就是说,本发明数据载体上的信息可以利用标准的DVD驱动器、磁条或芯片读取设备来获得。

Description

片状的光数据载体
本发明涉及一种片状的光数据载体,它具有一个用于透过辐射的层和一个信息记录层,在所述信息记录层的表面上布置有用于数字信息的存储区,其中,所述的数据载体具有一种用于读取和/或写入装置的接收元件的穿透开口。
这类数据载体通常是以CD(致密光盘)、CD ROM(光盘只读存储器)和DVD(数字通用盘)等名称而公知的。除了只读的结构之外,还有一些诸如CD-R等甚至可以多次重写的结构CD-RW(可重写),用户可以利用特殊的写入装置专门地在其上面存放一些信息。
所述已知的数据载体是利用其中心开口而被读取和/或写入装置的合适接收元件进行接收和旋转的,以便借助发出激光辐射并径向运动的读和/或写头来实现来自或通往数据载体的数据流。
所谓的CD-ROM卡也属于通常公知的现有技术,它们具有传统CD-ROM或DVD的厚度,但大多具有非标准的支票卡格式。在这类数据载体中,存储区只局限于一个圆环,它最大可内切于大致为矩形的数据载体。与具有磁条或电子芯片单元的常规支票卡相比,这种CD-ROM卡的缺点是厚度太大。该厚度会导致弹性受到较大的阻碍,尤其在钱包内存放这种CD-ROM卡时会防碍携带的舒适性。如果在其中放置大量的CD-ROM卡,则普通信封或钱包所提供的空间经常是不够的。另外,在不良的日常工作状况下,这种CD-ROM卡所使用的聚碳酸盐对于卡的典型操作是不利的,因为这种材料可能会因其易碎性及其较小的弹性而很快地被折断或在材料内产生裂缝。
DE 296 16 619 U1公开过一种所谓的多媒体访问卡,其宽度和长度类似于标准纸访问卡的尺寸。但这种已知的访问卡是由CD-ROM材料制成的,该访问卡的厚度对应于标准CD-ROM的厚度。
由于这类所谓的非标准CD或CD-ROM格式并不能用于所有常规的播放设备,所以在DE 297 04 140 U1中公开过一种CD播放适配器,以便尤其用于譬如在DE 296 16 619 U1中曾讲述过的多媒体访问卡。该CD适配器的机身在其外部尺寸上准确地符合CD或CD-ROM的标准尺寸,且具有一个矩形截面的穿透的内部切口,该内部切口的形状对应于所述多媒体访问卡的外部几何形状。通过如下方式来把访问卡安放到播放适配器内,即把访问卡的前端构造为凸出形状,而所述播放适配器的前端在所述内部切口的区域内为相互匹配的凹形。由于塑料材料的弹性既可用于访问卡也可用于播放适配器,所以可以利用一定的力把所述的访问卡插到所述的切口内,其中,由于插入状态的形状匹配而确保了两个构件之间的可靠和固定的连接。为了简化插入或从播放适配器松开访问卡的过程,在所述内部切口的边角区设置了一些圆形。
此外,提高这类数据载体在不同存储器原理方面的可变性和由此提高与此相联系的读取和写入技术也是值得追求的。
本发明所基于的任务在于提供一种数据载体,其操作和存放也能够满足较高的舒适性要求,并且在数据存储过程中在所采取的存储器原理方面具有可变性的特点。
从本文开头所述类型的数据载体出发,该任务按照本发明以如下方式来解决,即所述数据载体的厚度小于DVD型标准化数据载体的厚度,且大于DVD型标准化数据载体的信息记录层的厚度与所需要的最小载体层的总和。
由于其厚度被减小了,所以这种数据载体具有灵活性较大和操作极为舒适等特点。即便在装放大量这种数据载体的情况下,也不会出现象传统CD-ROM卡那样的位置问题。只须如此来确定载体层的厚度,使得在操作和携带该数据载体时不存在被损坏的危险。只要数据载体具有置于信息记录层之上的用于透过辐射的层,则该层就完全能够承担所述确保数据载体的形状稳定性的载体层的功能,这样,所述透过辐射的层的厚度基本上确定了数据载体的最小厚度,因为信息记录层的厚度是极其小的。虽然本发明所建议的减小厚度是与如下缺点联系在一起的,即若没有其它的措施,则在如今使用的CD或DVD播放设备中是不能读取该数据载体的。但是,本发明给光数据载体的实现带来了较大的优点,该数据载体在其整个尺寸、尤其是在厚度方面可以与其它存储器原理(磁条卡,芯片卡,…)的数据载体相兼容,并由此可以以“多媒体”的方式使用。
优选地,所述数据载体的厚度、长度和宽度与常规芯片卡或磁条卡相一致。根据如今有效的标准,该厚度约为0.8mm。因此,利用本发明首次提供了一种光数据载体,它在尺寸和可使用性方面与诸如信用卡、支票卡及“智能卡”等现有格式是完全兼容的。
本发明的一种尤其有利的改进方案在于,所述的开口是偏心地布置的,而且给该数据载体装设一个可通过接触面读取和/或写入的电子芯片单元。
除了光数据载体的功能之外,本发明的数据载体还具有其它非常有利的特性以满足芯片卡的功能。在此,对于其在已知芯片卡上的布置被标准化的芯片单元,它所需要的空间是通过偏心地布置用于接收单元的开口来实现的。通过把所述开口的中心点布置在表示数据载体形状的矩形的纵向中心线上,不会缩小可供使用的存储区域,因为内切圆环的尺寸相对于该开口被中心布置时是没有变的。通过偏心地布置该开口可以提高使用时的可靠性,因为每个人都知道没有适配器就不能使用这种卡。否则这种卡(即便在中心开口的情况下)将不能在缝式驱动器或PC的普通抽屉式驱动器中使用。然而,常规CD卡也都有这种弱点。
优选地,所述透过辐射的层由聚碳酸盐组成。
本发明的进一步扩展方案规定,所述的芯片单元被布置在数据载体的与所述透过辐射的层相对的那一面上。
为了在不同的存储器原理方面进一步提高数据载体的功能性和兼容性,建议给所述的数据载体装设一种磁条。有利的是,在所述与透过辐射的层相对的那一面上既布置磁条,又布置所述的芯片单元。在该情形下它实际上就是一种多媒体数据载体。
为了满足数据载体的较高美学要求,或为了给数据载体配备特殊的安全特征,本发明的改进方案规定,在所述与透过层相对的一面上给所述的数据载体装设一种镀膜,譬如“水印”或全息照相的形式。
本发明数据载体的一种改进方案在于,它由一个圆环形且具有开口的存储器部分、一个具有芯片卡型标准化数据载体的厚度、长度和宽度的载体部分、以及一个通过接触面可读及/或可写的芯片单元组成,其中,所述的存储器部分和芯片单元被如此地安装到所述的载体部分中,使得数据载体产生基本为平面的表面。
一方面,圆环形的存储器部分比其它格式更容易制造,另一方面可以为两部分使用不同的材料,以便满足不同的要求。因此,所述的存储器部分优选地由具有高表面硬度的聚碳酸盐组成,而所述的载体部分可以优选地使用柔性的、不易折断、裂缝或疲劳的材料,譬如由塑料或纸板组成。
此外还建议,所述存储器部分的厚度为0.5mm~0.6mm,而且还具有一个基本与芯片卡型的标准化数据载体的宽度相一致的外径,以便实现数据载体的尽可能大的存储容量。
在数据载体的一种优选方案中,所述的载体部分至少部分地由硬纸板组成。这样有个优点,就是用户可以专门地借助激光印刷来印制该载体部分,以便譬如将其用作访问卡的形式。在印制之后,可以把存储器部分和可能的芯片单元装入到载体部分的与此相匹配的切口内,并譬如借助粘结而固定下来。这种访问卡相对于常规的访问卡有如下优点,即:一方面,在保持普通芯片卡的弹性的同时它还能存储更多的信息,另一方面,该信息可以直接在访问卡的接收器内被写入到其数据处理设备中,以便取消单独和费时地用人工输入这些数据。
本发明另外还建议了一种用于接收数据载体的适配器,它设有接收区和中心开口,所述接收区的内部尺寸略大于需被接收的数据载体的外部尺寸,而所述的中心开口在数据载体被接收的位置内与该数据载体中的开口是同轴的,其中,所述数据载体的厚度与所述适配器在接收区内的厚度之和等于DVD型标准化数据载体的厚度,而且,由所述适配器和数据载体构成的单元可以围绕所述开口的中心轴平衡地进行旋转。
由此,即便在高转速的情况下也能简单地确保本发明数据载体的可播放性,且与读取和写入装置的结构类型无关。适配器通常是不由用户携带的,而是与读取或写入装置保留在一起。许多同类的数据载体只需要一个单独的适配器。适配器譬如可以整体地用注塑方法制造,或由两个盘组合在一起。
下面借助附图简要示出的两个数据载体实施例来详细讲述本发明。其中:
图1示出了具有偏心布置的开口和芯片单元及磁条的数据载体;
图2示出了用于接收图1所示的数据载体的适配器;
图3示出了具有中心布置的开口的数据载体;
图4示出了用于接收图3所示的数据载体的适配器;
图5示出了一个载体部分;
图6示出了一个存储器部分;以及
图7示出了一个芯片单元。
图1所示的数据载体1具有标准芯片卡的大致为矩形的格式,也就是说长度2约为85mm,宽度3约为54mm,以及厚度4约为0.8mm。数据载体1在为此而标准化的位置上装设了一个电子芯片单元5,以便读取和写入数字信息。
此外,数据载体1在图1中不可见的一面上还具有一个用于透过辐射的且厚度约为0.5mm的层和一个从数据载体的下表面看去为布置在其下方的信息记录层,在该信息记录层的表面上布置有用于数字信息的存储区。该信息记录层延伸在一个用划线6限定的圆环区域上。
此外,数据载体1还具有一个相对于所述矩形而偏心地布置-也即布置在重心之外-的开口7,该开口与未示出的、读取和/或写入装置的接收单元进行合作,并由此在尺寸和形状上被标准化。由于该偏心的开口而减少了在没有相应适配器的情况下播放数据载体1的危险性。
图2示出了一种适配器8,它具有DVD型的传统数据载体的基本形状,且厚度为1.2mm。该适配器8由两个圆柱形的圆盘9和10组成,且上部圆盘的厚度约为0.8mm,下部圆盘的厚度约为0.4mm。在其接触面的范围内,所述的两个圆盘9和10相互粘结。
在图2中,下部圆盘10具有一个穿越中心的开口11,其外径与数据载体1中的开口7是一致的。上部圆盘9设有一个矩形的切口,它与下部圆盘10的构成限制的端面13一起定义了一个接收区12。图1所示的数据载体1可以如此地放入到接收区12内,使得一方面数据载体1内的开口7与适配器8内的开口11对准,另一方面由数据载体1的透过层所构成的表面与上部圆盘9的端面14处于同一平面。利用这种方式得到一种由数据载体1和适配器8构成的单元,它可以在数据载体1及适配器8的组合状态下围绕开口7和11的中心轴15高速地旋转,而不会有不平衡。因此该数据载体1可以用于商用的读取和/或写入装置。
图3示出了一种可选方案的数据载体1’,类似于图1所示的数据载体1,该数据载体的长度、宽度和厚度尺寸是与传统芯片或磁条卡相一致的。为了确保这类数据载体1’的可播放性且与读取或写入装置的接收装置的结构设计无关,使用了图4所示的适配器8’,该适配器8’类似于图2所示的适配器8,也由两个相互粘结的圆盘9’和10组成。下部圆盘10与适配器8相同,且设有中心开口11’,而上部圆盘9’具有一个中心布置的矩形切口。由此确定了一个接收区12’,它可以如此地放入数据载体1’,使得其开口7’与开口11对准,且可装入到常规的读取和/或写入装置中。
图1所示的数据载体1的结构被清楚地画在图5~7中。该数据载体由一个用硬纸板制成的载体部分16构成,该载体部分16在其长度、宽度和厚度方面对应于数据载体1的相应尺寸。该载体部分16具有一个圆柱形的切口17,其中心轴15位于沿着载体部分16的纵向而延伸的对称面上,并且相对于沿着横向、亦即与之垂直地延伸的对称面而错开地布置。该切口17的深度18约为0.58mm,从而导致该载体部分16在切口17的范围内的剩余厚度19约为0.22mm。与该切口17同轴地布置所述穿透的开口7。
另外,所述的载体部分16设有一个大致为矩形的穿透切口20,其中可以装入图7所示的芯片单元5。
图6所示的存储器部分21具有与所述载体部分16中的切口17相同的外径和厚度18(0.58mm)。该存储器部分21具有一个用于透过辐射的层和一个与之相邻布置的信息记录层,且基本上由聚碳酸盐制成。图6所示的存储器部分被装入到图5所示的载体部分16的切口中,以便获得图1所示那样的数据载体1。于是,存储器部分21的开口7”与载体部分16的开口7是上下套合的。在粘合状态下,所述存储器部分21的表面与载体部分16的表面处于同一平面。

所述存储器部分(21)的厚度为0.5mm~0.6mm,而且还具有一个基本与芯片卡型的标准化数据载体的宽度(3)相一致的外径。
7.如权利要求5或6所述的数据载体,其特征在于:
所述的载体部分(16)具有一个与所述存储器部分(21)的外径相匹配的、切口(17)形状的接收区,其深度大致与所述存储器部分(21)的厚度(4)相一致。
8.如权利要求5~7之一所述的数据载体,其特征在于:
所述的载体部分(16)至少部分地由硬纸板制成。
9.用于接收如权利要求1所述的数据载体(1,1’)的适配器(8,8’),具有接收区(12,12’)和中心开口(11),所述接收区的内部尺寸略大于需被接收的数据载体(1,1’)的外部尺寸,而所述的中心开口在数据载体(1,1’)被接收的位置内与该数据载体中的开口(7,7’)是同轴的,其中,所述数据载体(1,1’)的厚度与所述适配器(8,8’)在接收区(12,12’)内的厚度之和等于DVD型标准化数据载体的厚度,而且,由所述适配器(8,8’)和数据载体构成的单元可以围绕所述开口(7,7’,11)的中心轴(15)平衡地进行旋转。
