Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及一种具有显示屏的电子装置。
背景技术
电子装置(例如便携式电话、电子文档夹或个人数字助理-PDA)变得日益复杂,现在这种装置常用像素显示屏为该装置的用户显示信息。实际上,这种装置的用户界面为用户提供越来越多的选项,但是能显示在一个手持装置的小显示屏上的信息量当然是有限的。
虽然屏幕的分辩率在快速提高,但是有限的屏幕可用面积会限制能简单地显示在例如移动电话这样的小型手持或便携式装置中的信息量。通过使用嵌套菜单以及树状结构的数据存储设置,可以得到更大量的数据,但使用一个小型显示屏,用户就会面临这样一个问题,即,即使为了进入数据树很相近的分枝,用户也要在所显示的有限可用的选项中重复选择并等待,直到进入界面的下一个导向级别。
发明内容
所以本发明的一个目的是提供一种经过改进的电子装置。
根据本发明,提供一种电子装置,该装置具有一个显示屏,并且在显示屏上覆盖着一个图像偏转系统,其中该显示屏受控而产生至少两个独立的显示图像,当通过图像偏转系统显示这两个独立的显示图像时,从相对于显示屏的不同观看位置可以分别看到这两个图像。
由于本发明,可以提供一种能在给定的显示屏尺寸上呈现更多的有用数据容量的装置。
本发明的电子装置具有一个覆盖在显示屏上的图像偏转系统,从而该装置能为用户提供多个视图,从不同的观看位置可以看到各个视图。
为了向用户提供自动立体图像而在显示装置上使用透镜状屏幕是众所周知的,而所述偏转系统可以包括一个透镜状屏幕。在自动立体装置中,透镜状屏幕为不同图像提供观看位置,这些不同的图像根据相应于人眼间距的距离而间隔设置。以这种方式,不同的图像对着用户的左右眼,从而用户不需要配戴例如具有不同颜色镜片的眼镜就能产生立体图像的感觉。
为了产生立体图像,透镜状屏幕的透镜体从屏幕的顶部延伸到底部,从而因为观看位置相对于屏幕的横向移动而使不同的图像都能被看到。
在本发明之图像偏转系统中所用的透镜体可以延伸通过显示屏,从而由于观看者相对于屏幕的倾斜角度的变化就可以看到不同的图像。以这种方式,用户可以通过围绕横轴倾斜该装置而看到不同的图像。
每个透镜体可以与三个或更多个显示图像联系起来。例如,在装置相对于用户的自然位置上提供第一主要图像。以一种方面倾斜该装置可以得到一个显示图像,该图像重现了用户界面显示屏的前一屏。再以另一方向倾斜该装置可以提供有关那时呈现给用户的选项的解释说明。
显示屏优选地包括一个像素显示屏,例如一个液晶显示屏,而所述装置可以是一个移动电话或电视,尽管通过阅读下面对优选实施例的描述,其它选择对本领域普通技术人员来说会变得更加清楚。

实施例说明
图1表示一个移动电话10,它具有显示屏12和很多输入按钮14以及话筒16和扬声器18。
显示屏12包括一个液晶显示器形式的像素显示屏,在该显示屏上具有一个透镜状屏幕8形式的图像偏转系统,这种类型早已用于自动立体LCD显示屏的生产。在与本发明属于同一受让人的EP-A-0 791 847中详细描述了用作自动立体显示屏的这种类型的显示装置,这里作为参考而引用了它所公开的内容。
显示屏12受控而产生至少两个独立的显示图像,当通过透镜状屏幕8显示这两个独立的显示图像时,从相对于屏幕8的不同观看位置可以分别看到这两个图像。
在普通的自动立体透镜状屏幕显示装置中,透镜体从屏幕的顶部延伸到底部,以便透镜状屏幕在用户相对于屏幕的不同横向位置上投射出不同的图像。本发明适用于这种水平的视图分离,尽管如下所述,竖直的视图分离(通过使用水向延伸的透镜体)也是可以的。
如图1所示意性地表示的那样,覆盖在显示屏12上的屏幕8的透镜体24延伸通过显示屏12,从而在相对于屏幕的不同仰角处能看到多个显示图像。而且,透镜体的水平排列使同一图像呈现给用户的左眼和右眼。因而,围绕水平轴20倾斜移动电话10就可以看到两个或更多的图像。
图2表示电话10如何可以围绕水平轴20倾斜。图2A表示移动电话的一个正常观看位置,用户从相对屏幕平面基本正常的位置来观看屏幕。在该位置可以为用户显示输入选项菜单,尽管在图2A中简单地用“视图1”来表示所显示的图像。
为了观看第二图像,如图2B中所示,可以使电话的顶部朝向用户偏斜。所显示的图像用“视图2”表示,例如,可以显示前一屏的图像,以便用户能够回忆他在前次对电话10进行数据输入时所选定的路径。向相反的方向倾斜移动电话10可以得到如图2C中所示由“视图3”表示的第三图像。该屏可以例如显示有关正常屏幕(视图1)的帮助信息。
采用多个独立显示图像能使小型屏幕为用户提供附加信息,而不需要按动任何按钮,所以提高了用户界面的清楚程度。
有许多可以应用多个图像的附加方式。例如,在智力竞赛游戏中,问题可以作为第一图像显示出来,而答案可以作为其它图像显示出来。例如,在使用互联网接入时,从互联网上得到的信息可以提供关于哪个数据作为各个可能的图像而被显示的特殊控制。
图3更详细地表示如何给像素显示装置编址以提供多个视图。在图3中由方框代表各个像素,尽管每个显示位置可以包括显示一种颜色的三个像素。每个透镜体24覆盖三行像素22,并且用户可以同时看见所有与透镜体24的相对位置相同的像素。因而,在图3中,中间一行像素共同显示视图1,每个透镜体24的上面一行像素显示视图2,而每个透镜体24的下面一行像素显示视图3,如图所示。
虽然具体以一个移动电话为例对该实施例进行了描述,但该实施例可以应用于其它手持或便携式的装置,例如遥控器、计算器、腕表、PDA装置、传呼机和多功能手表。
该显示装置可以包括有源矩阵LCD装置尽管也可以使用无源LCD显示屏或其它类型的显屏例如聚合物LED显示屏。
图4和5表示第二实施例,其中电视30具有一个显示屏12和一个覆盖在显示屏12上的透镜状屏幕8形式的图像偏转系统。竖直设置屏幕8的透镜体以提供从不同观看位置可以分别看到的独立显示图像。
在图4中,两个用户32和34各自与一对由显示屏12显示的图像对准而能看到不同的图像。显示屏12受控而显示四个显示图像,左眼和右眼观看两个独立的显示图像。当通过透镜状屏幕8显示两个不同图像时,从用户32和34这两个不同的观看位置可以分另看到这两个不同的图像。
在图5中,单独一个34用户可以调整自己的位置,从而只要很小地移动他的头,他就能在电视30显示的两个图像之间进行转换。
考虑到覆盖在显示屏上的透镜状屏幕,没有对用以提供正确显示图像的装置控制进行描述,至于多个图像的结合方法以及驱动显示装置的驱动程序对本领域普通技术人员来说是公知的。同样,透镜状屏幕和显示装置的具体设计对那些本领域普通技术人员来说也是公知的。

Claims (9)

1.一种电子装置,该装置具有一个显示屏并且在显示屏上覆盖着一个图像偏转系统,其中该显示屏受控以产生至少两个独立的显示图像,当通过图像偏转系统显示这两个独立的显示图像时,从相对于显示屏的不同观看位置可以分别看到这两个图像。
2.如权利要求1所述的装置,其特征在于,所述图像偏转系统包括一个透镜状屏幕。
3.如权利要求2所述的装置,其特征在于,所述透镜状屏幕的透镜体延伸通过显示屏。
4.如权利要求2或3所述的装置,其特征在于,所述透镜状屏幕的每个透镜体与三个或更多个显示图像关联。
5.如上述任何一个权利要求所述的装置,其特征在于,所述显示屏是一个像素显示屏。
6.如权利要求5所述的装置,其特征在于,所述显示屏是一个液晶显示屏。
7.如上述任何一个权利要求所述的装置,其特征在于,所述装置是便携式的。
8.如权利要求7所述的装置,其特征在于,所述装置是一个移动电话。
9.如权利要求1-7中任何一个权利要求所述的装置,其特征在于,所述装置是一个电视。
