更具体地,本发明的一个目的是提供一种上述类型的带,其中赋予其上高强度的双轴定向的塑料薄膜层借助于一种水基粘合剂低温层压到纸层上,以便在不需要热量的情况下实施层压,而热量会削弱塑料薄膜层的定向性和强度。
本发明带的一个重要特性是它对于分层具有高的抵抗力,而且当从一纸板箱或其它物品上剥离时,它能够被整体地从其上剥离下来。
简言之,能够达到这些目的的用于密封纸板箱和其它应用的压敏带需要有一具有优越的强度和足够的密度的柔性带,以便成卷的带能够在一通常的拉撕带分配器上分配。
在第一实施例中,本发明涉及一种压敏密封带产品,其适于粘附到包括装带和密封的应用中的各种物品上,并且具有足够的密度使其能够在一通常的拉撕带分配器上分配。该带产品包括一纸层和一不透水的塑料薄膜层,该塑料薄膜层具有一第一电晕放电处理的表面。在一实施例中,该薄膜层还包括一与第一电晕放电处理的表面相对的第二表面。该第二表面不经过电晕放电处理,这样可以保证当带在例如一拉撕带分配器上卷绕时带的相邻的相互重叠的各层不会彼此粘附在一起。
塑料薄膜层的第一电晕放电处理的表面是粘性地层压到纸层上,以形成一具有第一和第二相对外表面的纸-塑料薄膜层压件。该带产品在第一和第二外表面中的一个上还具有一压敏粘合剂涂层。暴露的压敏粘合剂覆层用于将纸-塑料薄膜层压件粘附到各种物品上。塑料薄膜层具有足够的强度使薄膜能够整片从层压件所粘附的物品上剥离下来。
本发明的带产品还可以选择性地包括一松释剂层,该松释层位于剩下的没有涂层的外表面上。用于本发明的最好的松释剂包括硅树脂。
在本发明的一个实施例中,纸层的厚度从大约3密耳至大约6密耳,而塑料薄膜层的厚度从大约1密耳至大约3密耳。
在另外一实施例中,压敏密封带产品的塑料薄膜组分是一种定向的薄膜,其包括一种从包括聚丙烯、聚乙烯和聚酯的组中选择出的聚合物。在附属的实施例中,纸层最好包括牛皮纸。
在另一实施例中,塑料薄膜层的第一电晕放电处理表面可以借助于水基粘合剂粘性地层压到纸层上。水基粘合剂可以包括,例如,一种丙烯酸共聚物化合物或一种聚乙酸乙烯酯共聚物。优选用于本发明的压敏粘合剂可以从橡胶、乙烯基橡胶、聚乙烯醚、聚乙烯醇缩丁醛、聚异丁烯和丙烯酸中选择。压敏粘合剂可以施加到层压件的纸侧或薄膜侧。另外,如果需要,塑料薄膜层的外表面可以进行金属化处理。
在制成本发明的压敏密封带的过程中,最好是利用一种粘合剂将第一电晕放电处理的表面层压到纸层上,这将产生比压敏粘合剂产生的更强的粘结力,使得纸-塑料薄膜层压件能够从其粘附的物品上整片地剥离下来。
在另一个实施例中,本发明的压敏密封带产品包括具有一第一表面和一相对的第二表面的纸层;一具有一第一电晕放电处理的表面和一相对的第二表面的定向的不透水塑料薄膜,其中第一电晕放电处理的表面粘性地层压到纸层的第一表面上,以形成一纸-塑料薄膜层压件;一位于纸层的第二表面上的压敏粘合剂涂层的一暴露层;和一位于塑料薄膜的相对的第二表面上的松释剂层。上述实施例中使用的塑料层应当具有足够的强度以允许薄膜整片地从该层压件粘附的物品上剥离下来。
在又一个实施例中,本发明涉及用于粘附到适于装带和密封的应用中的各种物品上的压敏密封带产品,其中,带产品具有足够的密度使其能够在通常的拉撕带分配器上分配。该带产品包括一第一纸层;具有第一和第二电晕放电处理的表面的不透水的塑料薄膜层,其中第一电晕放电处理的表面粘性地层压到纸层上,以形成具有相对的第一和第二外表面的纸-塑料薄膜层压件;和在层压件的外表面中的一个上的压敏粘合剂涂层的一个暴露层。塑料薄膜层具有足够的强度,使得薄膜能够整片地从该层压件所粘附的物品上剥离下来。
如果需要,压敏密封带产品还包括一松释剂层,该松释剂层处在剩下的该层压件的第一和相对的第二外表面中的一个没有涂层的表面上。
在一个优选实施例中,纸层的厚度是大约3密耳至6密耳,塑料薄膜层的厚度是大约1密耳至3密耳。
在上述的压敏密封带产品中使用的塑料薄膜可以是一种定向的薄膜,而且可以是由聚丙烯、聚乙烯和聚酯中的一种材料制成的。纸层最好包括一种牛皮纸。而且,不透水的塑料薄膜层的第一电晕放电处理的表面可以借助于一种水基粘合剂粘性地层压到纸层上。另外,压敏粘合剂可以包括一种橡胶、乙烯基橡胶、聚乙烯醚、聚乙烯醇缩丁醛或丙烯酸。
如果需要,上述的压敏密封带产品还可以包括一第二纸层。在附属的实施例中,塑料薄膜层的第一电晕放电处理的表面粘性地层压到第一纸层上,而塑料薄膜层的第二电晕放电处理的表面粘性地层压到第二纸层上,以形成一具有由例如牛皮纸制成的第一和第二相对的外表面的纸-塑料薄膜-纸层压件。该带产品还包括在外表面的一个上的一压敏粘合剂涂层的暴露层。该层压件的塑料薄膜层应具有足够的强度以使得薄膜能够整片地从该层压件所粘附的物品上剥离下来。

具体实施方式
带:
如图1和2所示,本发明密封带T的一优选实施例包括一由牛皮纸或其它的纸张制成的基层10。基层10通过一粘合剂层11低温层压至一薄膜层12,该薄膜层12是具有高强度的合成塑料膜,如聚乙烯。该薄膜最好是由双轴取向材料制成的,如聚丙烯或聚酯(MYLAR)。薄膜层12的内表面经由电晕放电处理使其成为可润湿的,以强化在该表面的能量,以便它能够接受粘合剂。
覆盖在纸基层10的暴露表面上的是一种压敏粘合剂层13,因此密封带能够粘合到纸板箱、包裹或其它物品上。压敏层13可以是任何合适的压敏粘合剂材料,如橡胶、乙烯基橡胶、聚乙烯醚、聚乙烯醇缩丁醛、聚异丁烯或丙烯酸类。该带的作用是将折板或纸板箱的连接点封闭起来,或实现任何其它通常的密封功能。
塑料薄膜面层12的厚度不大于3密耳,最好是具有约1密耳的厚度;因此其自身缺乏刚度和密度。牛皮纸基层10厚一些,最好其厚度为2或3密耳,但不大于大约6密耳,从而增加了带的硬度和密度。
当薄膜层12被双轴定向时,它具有优越的抗拉强度,通过沿其横向和水平轴线双向拉伸薄膜实现这种定向,以对薄膜结构进行分子定向。较厚的纸基层10本身的强度并不高,但纸-薄膜的层压件既具有密度又具有高的强度,使得一带卷可以使用在通常的拉撕带的分配器。
各层的低温层压可以借助于一种水基粘合剂来实现,最好是一种既对纸层也对薄膜层具有亲合力的聚丙烯酸共聚物的合成物。因为水基的粘合剂在环境温度是流体状态的,而且不是热熔性的粘合剂;当双轴定向的薄膜被层压到纸层上时,不需向双轴定向的薄膜施加热量。水基粘合剂一旦凝固后就不是水溶性的,而且不是再湿性的。
需要牢记的是双轴定向的薄膜是热敏的,而且随着温度的升高,薄膜会变得松弛而且失去了其分子定向和强度。众所周知,例如当利用一种在薄膜内部产生内部摩擦和热的超声波激活的密封条将两片双轴定向的聚酯薄膜拼接在一起时,这将引起叠置的薄膜软化并熔合。所合成的密封线是很虚弱的,两片很容易沿此线撕开。因此,为了产生高强度的纸-薄膜层压件的带,低温层压对本发明来讲是很重要的。
值得注意的是,合成塑料薄膜材料,如聚丙烯,通常不适于接纳粘合剂,特别是水基粘合剂。因此,如果要将一种材料施加到该薄膜的表面上,该水基粘合剂在环境温度下或在略高于环境温度的温度下是可流动的,但该温度不是升高的热熔的粘合剂的温度,该粘合剂将不会被该薄膜吸收。
本发明的本质在于形成带的面层的薄膜的内表面处理成使其为可润湿的,进而能够接纳粘合剂。为此目的,对该表面进行电晕放电处理,这会强化以达因为单位测量的该表面能量,且因此使该表面为可润湿的,使其能够更好地与施加在其上的粘合剂粘结在一起。这样所得到的与薄膜和纸的粘合是很强的,使得带能够对分层具有高的抵抗能力。
在粘合剂施加到其上之前不久对薄膜表面进行电晕放电处理是很重要的,因为这种处理的效果保持的时间相对较短。因此,如果在此处理之后,薄膜在存放几天或更长的时间之后才被制成带,则薄膜表面的润湿性就大大降低了。
由于压敏粘合剂层13覆盖在纸基层10的外表面,如果带被卷起形成一卷,那么该带卷的各圈会彼此粘在一起,就产生了所谓的“结块”,其结果是该带卷无法退绕。为了防止这样的结块,薄膜面层12的外表面涂覆硅树脂或其它的通常在“Scotch”牌和其它卷形式的压敏塑料薄膜带中使用类型的松释剂14。
所得到的带卷15,如图2所示,被装载在一个适合于压敏带的拉撕带分配器16上,该分配器在其出口处包括一切割刀片17。因而从带卷15拉出的带延伸通过出口,并在其所需要的长度处由切割刀片17切割。
图3示出了一波纹纸板箱18,其具有互补的折板,该折板由本发明的一种纸-塑料薄膜层压型带T来密封。当带T施加在其上时,其纸基层10由其上的压敏粘合剂层粘附到纸板箱的折板上以封闭纸板箱。带的塑料薄膜层和纸层之间的粘结强度大于纸层10和纸板箱的折板之间的压敏粘结力。之后要想打开纸板箱,就将带T整个剥离。这样的动作会导致将纸板箱的折板上的表面纤维被一起撕掉,并粘附在压敏粘合剂层上。但是不会有带的部分遗留在纸板箱上;因此纸板箱可以在纸制品循环利用设备内上利用。
塑料薄膜层的外表面可以用金属处理,如利用真空沉积作用,以提供一种装饰密封带。并且如果构成塑料层的合成塑料材料本身具有固有的释放特性,因而就不需要涂覆一种松释剂,那么就可以对该板层的外表面进行电晕放电处理,使其能够接纳印刷油墨,以便该表面可以被装饰或印刷。
而且在实践中,可以将压敏粘合剂涂层施加到层压件的塑料薄膜侧而不是纸侧,在如上公开的此情形中,用于防止结块的松释剂施加到层压件的纸侧。在该带的实施例中,由于压敏粘合剂涂覆在薄膜层的暴露侧上,所以该层的表面必须首先经由电晕放电处理,使其能够接纳粘合剂。
在制造本发明的带的过程中,可以利用在我们的美国专利5,780,150和5,804,024中公开类型的层压件来电晕放电处理一塑料幅面料,这在将其粘附到一纸幅面料上以制成一纸薄膜层压幅面料之前进行。而后将该层压幅面料切成所需宽度的带。
虽然以上描述了本发明的优选实施例,但在实际中在不偏离本发明宗旨的前提下可以对该带进行很多改变。因此,可以制成一个三层的压敏带,其中心是一种定向薄膜,该薄膜在其两面用一种水基粘合剂低温层压到纸层上,一种压敏粘合剂涂覆在一纸层上,另一纸层留着用于印刷。
Claims (15)
1.一种用于粘附到包括装带和密封的应用中的各种物品上的压敏密封带产品,该带产品具有足够的密度使其能够从通常的拉撕带分配器上分配,该带产品包括:
一纸层;
一具有一第一电晕放电处理的表面的不透水的塑料薄膜层,其中第一电晕放电处理的表面被粘性地层压到所述纸层上,以形成一具有第一和第二相对外表面的纸-塑料薄膜层压件;
一在所述第一和第二外表面中的一个上的压敏粘合剂涂层,所述被暴露的压敏粘合剂涂层用于将纸-塑料薄膜层压件粘附至各种物品上,
其中,塑料薄膜层具有足够的强度,以使薄膜能够整片地从层压件所粘附的物品上剥离下来。
2.如权利要求1所述的带产品,其特征在于,其还包括一松释剂层,该松释层位于剩下的所述第一和第二相对外表面中的一个没有涂层的外表面上。
3.如权利要求2所述的带产品,其特征在于,所述松释剂是一种硅树脂。
4.如权利要求1所述的带产品,其特征在于,所述纸层的厚度是大约3密耳至大约6密耳,而所述塑料薄膜层的厚度是大约1密耳至大约3密耳。
5.如权利要求1所述的带产品,其特征在于,所述塑料薄膜是一种定向的薄膜,其包括一种从包括聚丙烯、聚乙烯和聚酯的组中选择出的聚合物,并且所述纸层包括牛皮纸。
6.如权利要求1所述的带产品,其特征在于,所述第一电晕放电的处理表面借助于一种水基粘合剂粘性地层压到所述纸层上。
7.如权利要求6所述的带产品,其特征在于,所述水基粘合剂包括一种丙烯酸共聚物化合物或一种聚乙酸乙烯酯共聚物。
8.如权利要求1所述的带产品,其特征在于,所述压敏粘合剂包括一种橡胶,一种乙烯基橡胶,一种聚乙烯醚,一种聚乙烯醇缩丁醛,一种聚异丁烯或一种丙烯酸。
9.如权利要求1所述的带产品,其特征在于,所述压敏粘合剂施加到所述层压件的纸侧。
10.如权利要求1所述的带产品,其特征在于,所述压敏粘合剂施加到所述层压件的薄膜侧。
11.如权利要求1所述的带产品,其特征在于,对所述塑料薄膜层的一外表面进行金属化处理。
12.如权利要求1所述的带产品,其特征在于,将第一电晕放电处理的表面粘性地层压到纸层上的粘合剂产生比压敏粘合剂粘结力更强的粘结力,用于使纸-塑料薄膜层压件能够从一物品上整片地剥离下来。
13.如权利要求1所述的带产品,其特征在于,所述塑料薄膜层的外表面经由电晕放电处理,以使所述表面能够接纳油墨。
14.如权利要求1所述的带产品,其特征在于,所述塑料薄膜层包括第一和第二相对的表面,其中所述第一和第二塑料薄膜层表面均经过电晕放电处理,其中一个所述电晕放电表面粘性地层压到所述纸层上,而留下的所述塑料薄膜层的另一个未层压的表面设有一层松释剂。
15.如权利要求1所述的带产品,其特征在于,所述不透水的塑料薄膜层还包括一第二表面,其与所述第一电晕放电处理的表面相对,其中所述第二表面未经过电晕放电处理,以便当所述带产品卷绕在一拉撕带分配器上时,防止带产品的相邻的重叠层之间的粘结。
