技术领域
本发明涉及连续行进的长尺寸带状的树脂薄膜的连接方法和连接装置。
背景技术
大多数作为各种带子或包装材料使用的树脂薄膜,在制造工序中以长尺寸带状的形状连续地制造,将其分割成合适的宽度之后,以适当的长度卷绕成线圈状,输出给下道工序,卷成线圈状的长尺寸带状的树脂薄膜,根据各种用途进行加工,在其加工工序中,卷成线圈状的长尺寸带状的树脂薄膜,一边被连续地解卷一边进行加工工序且被消耗。为了不中断加工工序,在树脂薄膜的线圈被解卷并完全消耗之前,有必要与下一个树脂薄膜的线圈连接。
先行的树脂薄膜和后续的树脂薄膜的连接,如图6~8所示的那样进行。即,如图6所示,在开卷机等解卷机构1上卷绕成线圈状的先行的树脂薄膜11,被连续地解卷后输送给处于图上的右方的未图示的加工工序。当先行的树脂薄膜11的线圈被消耗而剩余很少时,如图7所示,移动解卷机构1(图中180°旋转移动),使将后续的树脂薄膜22卷绕成线圈状的解卷机构2位于解卷机构1所处的位置上(图中,解卷机构1和解卷机构2处于回转对称的位置关系,通过180°回转,相互交换位置)。先行的树脂薄膜11,在薄膜上施加适当的张力,经过以有助于顺利输送的方式有选择地设置的接触辊轮6输出到连接位置上。
接下来,如图8所示,在连接位置上,使压辊等薄膜压接机构3移动(图中,从下向上推),使先行树脂薄膜11与预先在卷绕成线圈状的后续树脂薄膜22的最外周前端部上粘接了两面带等粘接材料(未图示)接触并由薄膜压接机构3压接。之后,使薄膜刀具等薄膜切断机构4移动,与先行的树脂薄膜11接触并将其切断。这样,将先行的树脂薄膜11和后续的树脂薄膜22连接起来。
可是,已经判明有时上述的连接方法对有些树脂薄膜不能连接。大多数长尺寸带状的树脂薄膜是向长度方向的1轴方向或者向长度方向和宽度方向的2轴方向延伸并取向的所谓延伸薄膜。在延伸薄膜的情况下,由于薄膜上具有刚性,当接触作为薄膜切断机构的薄膜刀具之际,刀具的一点与薄膜接触后,刀具与薄膜宽度的全体接触,形成直线上的切断面来切断完成切断。这样一来,当薄膜被切断后,后续的树脂薄膜的前端与先行的树脂薄膜无障碍地连接,顺利地送往加工工序。
另一方面,在不取向的所谓无延伸薄膜的场合下,由于在薄膜上没有刚性,如上述那样,在将后续的树脂薄膜连接到先行的树脂薄膜上的情况下,当作为薄膜切断机构的薄膜刀具接触薄膜的一点时,立即七零八落地断裂,产生薄膜碎片。该薄膜碎片附着在接合后的树脂薄膜上并被带入下一道工序的加工工序,不能稳定地进行加工作业。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于,提供在连续行进的长尺寸带状无延伸树脂薄膜的先行树脂薄膜和后续树脂薄膜的连接中,可以连续地实施后续工序的加工作业同时进行连接作业的连接方法和连接装置。
本发明的树脂薄膜的连接方法,其特征在于,在切断连续行进的长尺寸带状的先行的树脂薄膜,使长尺寸带状的后续树脂薄膜与切断端重合并压接来进行连接的连接方法中,在切断之前加热先行的树脂薄膜;进而,前述先行的树脂薄膜是无延伸的薄膜;加热至前述先行的树脂薄膜的玻璃转移温度以上、且未到达熔融温度的温度。
本发明的树脂薄膜的连接装置,包括:先行的树脂薄膜的解卷机构、后续的树脂薄膜的解卷机构、先行的树脂薄膜的加热机构、先行的树脂薄膜和后续的树脂薄膜的压接机构、先行的树脂薄膜的切断机构。
在本发明中,在切断连续行进的长尺寸带状的无延伸树脂薄膜的先行的树脂薄膜、将长尺寸带状的后续的树脂薄膜的前端重叠并压接在其切断端上来进行连接的方法中,由于通过在切断前加热先行的树脂薄膜,在薄膜切断时无延伸薄膜不会七零八落地断裂而是形成直线上的切断面地被切断,所以断裂的薄膜碎片不会附着在接合后的树脂薄膜上带入下一工序的加工中,可以连续地稳定地实施下一个工序的加工作业。

具体实施方式
下面,参照附图详细地说明本发明的实施例。
图1~图5表示本发明的树脂薄膜的连接装置的一个实施例和连接方法。
本发明的树脂薄膜的连接装置10,由把先行的树脂薄膜11卷绕成线圈状的开卷机等解卷机构1、把后续的树脂薄膜22卷绕成线圈状的开卷机等解卷机构2、压辊等薄膜压接机构3、薄膜切断机构4、加热器等薄膜加热机构5、进而有选择地设置的接触辊轮6形成。
解卷机构1和解卷机构2具有回转对称的位置关系,通过180°回转,位置相互转换。如图1所示,在解卷机构1上卷绕成线圈状的先行的树脂薄膜11,被连续地解卷并被输送给处于图上右方的未图示的加工工序。如图2所示,当先行的树脂薄膜11的线圈被消耗且剩余很少时,解卷机构1旋转移动180°,使将后续的树脂薄膜22卷绕成线圈状的解卷机构2位于解卷机构1原来所处的位置上。在先行的树脂薄膜11上施加适度的张力并经过以有助于顺利输送的方式有选择地设置的接触辊轮6输送到连接位置上。
接下来,如图3所示,在连接位置上,使压辊等薄膜压接机构3移动(在图中由下向上推压),使先行的树脂薄膜11与预先粘贴在卷绕成线圈状的后续树脂薄膜22最外周的前端部上的双面带等粘接材料(未图示)接触,并由薄膜压接机构3压接。
接下来,如图4所示,在连接位置的正前方,使加热器等薄膜加热机构5移动,与先行的树脂薄膜11接触并加热。通过将无延伸薄膜加热到树脂薄膜的玻璃转移温度以上且不到熔融温度的温度,最好在玻璃转移温度~玻璃转移温度+20℃的温度范围内,有可能把与延伸薄膜相同的延展性赋与树脂薄膜。但是,在树脂薄膜的长度方向上,当不在一定范围的长度上加热时,不可能像延伸薄膜的切断那样直线状地切断。例如,即使用0.6mm直径的电热丝熔断无延伸薄膜,也是七零八落地断裂。另一方面,当长度方向的加热范围过长时,薄膜因收缩而产生皱纹。加热范围的长度,要像薄膜加热机构5接触先行的树脂薄膜11期间成为上述的合适的温度范围那样,考虑树脂薄膜的厚度、树脂薄膜的输送速度来设定。另外,薄膜加热机构5与先行的树脂薄膜11的接触压力,也需要与这些条件一起设定在合适的范围内。再有,为了尽力抑制温度下降,优选尽可能地接近薄膜切断机构。
接下来,如图5所示,使薄膜刀具等薄膜切断机构4移动并与长度方向的一定范围被加热的先行的树脂薄膜11的加热部分接触后切断。这样,进行先行的树脂薄膜11和后续的树脂薄膜22的连接。本发明的树脂薄膜的连接装置,不使薄膜加热机构动作也可以用作延伸树脂薄膜的连接装置。
实施例
采用图1~图5所示的装置,在表1所示的条件下,连接由下述的长尺寸带状的3层无延伸聚酯树脂薄膜构成的先行树脂薄膜和后续树脂薄膜。

上层:厚度2μm的透明聚酯层
中间层:含有27重量%的白色颜料且厚度为9μm的白色聚酯层
下层:含有5重量%的白色颜料且厚度为2μm的白色聚酯层

如表1所示,由于通过在适当的温度范围内加热未延伸树脂薄膜,不会七零八落地断裂,与延伸薄膜的切断同样地形成直线上的切断面,所以在接合后的树脂薄膜上不附着薄膜碎片。
在本发明中,在切断连续行进的长尺寸带状的无延伸树脂薄膜的先行树脂薄膜、并将长尺寸带状的后续树脂薄膜的前端重叠并压接在其切断端上来进行连接的方法中,由于通过在切断前加热先行的树脂薄膜,在薄膜切断时无延伸薄膜不会七零八落地断裂而是形成直线上的切断面地被切断,所以不会发生断裂的薄膜碎片附着在接合后的树脂薄膜上带入下一工序的加工中,可以连续地稳定地实施下一个工序的加工作业。

Claims (4)

1.一种树脂薄膜的连接方法,在切断连续行进的长尺寸带状的先行的树脂薄膜,使长尺寸带状的后续的树脂薄膜与切断端重合并压接来进行连接的连接方法中,其特征在于,在切端之前加热先行的树脂薄膜。
2.如权利要求1所述的树脂薄膜的连接方法,其特征在于,前述先行树脂薄膜是无延伸薄膜。
3.如权利要求1或者2所述的树脂薄膜的连接方法,其特征在于,前述先行的树脂薄膜被加热到玻璃转移温度以上且不到熔融温度的温度。
4.一种树脂薄膜的连接装置,其特征在于,具有:先行的树脂薄膜的解卷机构、后续的树脂薄膜的解卷机构、先行的树脂薄膜的加热机构、先行的树脂薄膜和后续的树脂薄膜的压接机构、先行的树脂薄膜的切断机构。
