Abstract

Description

用于滚轧机油膜轴承的内密封环
技术领域
本发明总地涉及用于在滚轧机中可转动地支承辊颈的油膜轴承,特别是涉及改进的、用于这种轴承的密封组件的内密封环。
背景技术
例如在美国专利第5,478,090号(Simmons等人)、第4,455,856号(Salter,Jr.等人)、以及第4,389,053号(Innis等人)中揭示了已知的用于滚轧机油膜轴承的密封组件。这些密封组件包括若干内密封环,诸内密封环构造成与围绕辊颈的一柔性密封件接合,并与其它密封构件共同合作以形成一迷宫式密封,以设计成阻止冷水、夹带的污物以及轧屑进入轴承。内密封环通常用铝制成,并设有周向间隔的、布置成与轧辊的一端面邻接的橡胶缓冲部。铝易于由于弯曲和下凹而损坏,且其硬度可能会不利地使柔性颈部密封件发生变形。此外,橡胶缓冲部在内密封环与轧辊端面之间产生允许水进入的空隙。
发明内容
本发明提供一种在滚轧机中用于轧辊的油膜轴承的内密封环,所述轧辊有一辊颈,所述辊颈带有从轧辊的一端面渐细的一中间段,所述中间段渐收至包含在一套筒中的一直径减小的端部段,所述套筒相对辊颈固定,并在包含在一塞块内的一轴套中轴颈安装以转动,一柔性颈部密封件在固定于塞块的一密封件端板内安装在辊颈的中间段上以与轧辊一起转动,所述内密封环包括:一圆形的中段,它在一侧上带有一环面,并带有从一相对侧上凸伸出的内和外凸缘,所述环面设有由狭槽隔开的多个脊部,所述脊部是部分的圆周,并沿径向和周向都错开,所述内凸缘构造成接合所述颈部密封件,所述外凸缘构造成以间隔的关系与密封件端板共同合作以形成一第一迷宫式密封,所述环面上的所述脊部的外形构造成以邻接的关系与轧辊端面共同合作以形成一第二迷宫式密封。
较佳的是,所述圆形中段和所述内和外凸缘用一塑料材料一体成形。
根据本发明,内密封环由一塑料材料整体模制而成,它带有一环面,该环面的外形构造成与轧辊端面共同合作以形成一第二迷宫式密封,以用来附加地阻止水进入到轴承上。该塑料材料的弹性和柔性增加,且同样使颈部密封件不太易于发生变形或由于下凹或永久弯曲变形而受到损坏。

具体实施方式
现在参见附图,先请参见图1,在2处示出了具有一端面4和一辊颈的轧辊,该辊颈带有一渐细的中间段6,它引导至一更加逐渐渐细的端部段8。套筒10安装在渐细的端部段8上,并通过传统的装置(未示出)相对辊颈固定以与之一起转动。套筒10有一外轴承表面14,其轴颈安装在一固定轴套16的内轴承表面12内以转动,一塞块18封闭所述轴套16。套筒10与轧辊一起转动,而塞块18和轴套保持静止。以一足以在轴承表面12、14之间轴承负载区域处提供一流体动力地保持的油膜的流量连续地供应油。轧辊塞块的一轴向延伸部分20形成一油槽22,并在该油槽中连续地收集从轴承表面12、14之间流出的油。油穿过一合适的管道连接(未示出)从油槽排出的,以在滚轧机的润滑系统中再循环。
在所谓的“湿”辊轧应用中,冷却水连续地漫延在轧辊2上,并向下至其端面4上。尽管存在要把水甩离轧辊的离心力,但一些水仍沿着轴颈在轴承的方向上在其自己的路线流动。大体标示在26处的密封组件和形成密封组件一部分的柔性颈部密封件28的目的是防止冷却水达到和污染轴承油,并同时防止油从轴承中损失掉。
颈部密封件28包括一柔性的环形密封体30,它设有与辊颈的渐细的中间段6接触的唇缘32a、32b。颈部密封件28用适合的弹性橡胶状材料模制而成。较佳地,密封体30由如美国专利第3,330,567号中所述的一嵌入的、一螺旋弹簧34与一钢丝36的组合体来从内侧进行加强。
密封体30环绕有一金属的定位带38,当颈部密封件如图1所示地处于其安装好的位置时,该金属定位带平行于轧辊2的转动轴线。在定位带38的相对端处,一对弹性的内侧和外侧凸缘40a、40b与密封体30形成一体,并从其径向向外延伸。有利的是,凸缘40a、40b设有成角度的相对面向的唇缘42a、42b。
密封组件还包括一刚性的密封件端板44,它有一固定在塞块18的轴向延伸部分20上的圆形主体45。密封件端板有一径向向内延伸的刚性凸缘46,该凸缘垂直于轧辊2的转动轴线。凸缘46的内边缘与柔性密封体上的定位带38的外表面径向地间隔开。密封件端板还包括内侧和外侧肩部48a、48b,两者以相反的方向从刚性凸缘46轴向延伸出。肩部48a、48b围绕弹性密封凸缘40a、40b,并布置被成角度的唇缘42a、42b密封地接触。
密封组件26还包括根据本发明的一内密封环50,一弹性挡水件52围绕该内密封环。
还请参见图2和3,可以看到,内密封环50用一种塑料材料模制成,较佳地是聚酰亚胺和氨基甲酸乙酯或类似材料的混合物,并包括一圆形的中段54,该中段在一侧上带有一环形面56,并带有从一相对侧62上伸出的内和外凸缘58、60。如图1所示,内凸缘58构造成如在64那样接合颈部密封件28,外凸缘60构造成以间隔的关系与密封件端板44共同合作,以形成一第一迷宫式密封66。
环形面56的外形构造成带有同心的两组部分圆周的脊部68a、68b。诸脊部68a、68b沿径向和周向都错开,且狭槽70分隔开它们交叠的区段。
又如图1中所示,脊部68a、68b的外形构造成以邻接的关系与轧辊端面4共同合作,以形成一第二迷宫式密封72。
在辊轧的操纵的过程中,内密封环50、柔性颈部密封件28以及套筒10与轧辊一起转动,而挡水件52、密封件端板44、塞块18以及轴套16则保持静止。
润滑油不断地从两轴承表面12、14之间流出。大部分油将被转动的颈部密封件上的一抛油环74折回,并从而被送回到油槽22中。由于外侧颈部密封件凸缘40b与密封件端板的外侧肩部48b的密封接触,而将继续绕抛油环74通过的油折回。
大多数外部施加的冷却剂被挡水件52折流远离轴承的内部。任何继续穿过挡水件的冷却剂将被捕获在第一迷宫式密封66中,并且经由设在密封件端板44中的一排泄口(未示出)被排出。
脊部68a、68b以及轧辊端面4所形成的第二迷宫式密封72将用来有效地防止冷却剂进入轧辊端面与内密封环50的环形面56之间。
鉴于前述内容,对那些熟悉本技术领域的人员来说,显然,可以不超出这里所附的权利要求的保护范围地对这里为了揭示而选择的实施例进行各种修改。仅仅是举例的方式,可以改变在内密封环的环面56上的脊部的外形、数量以及间距,以适合特定的轴承尺寸和/或轴承应用。尽管所规定用于内密封环的材料是较佳的,但也可用其它等效的材料来替代。

Claims (2)

1.一种在滚轧机中用于轧辊的油膜轴承的内密封环,所述轧辊有一辊颈,所述辊颈带有从轧辊的一端面渐细的一中间段,所述中间段渐收至包含在一套筒中的一直径减小的端部段,所述套筒相对辊颈固定,并在包含在一塞块内的一轴套中轴颈安装以转动,一柔性颈部密封件在固定于塞块的一密封件端板内安装在辊颈的中间段上以与轧辊一起转动,所述内密封环包括:一圆形的中段,它在一侧上带有一环面,并带有从一相对侧上凸伸出的内和外凸缘,所述环面设有由狭槽隔开的多个脊部,所述脊部是部分的圆周,并沿径向和周向都错开,所述内凸缘构造成接合所述颈部密封件,所述外凸缘构造成以间隔的关系与密封件端板共同合作以形成一第一迷宫式密封,所述环面上的所述脊部的外形构造成以邻接的关系与轧辊端面共同合作以形成一第二迷宫式密封。
2.如权利要求1所述的内密封环,其特征在于,所述圆形中段和所述内和外凸缘用一塑料材料一体成形。
