本发明涉及根据螺旋扫描方法的录像机的搜索模式，尤其涉及按照数字家用录像系统(D-VHS)系统标准的录像机的搜索模式，它能够借助于盒式磁带记录和/或再现模拟电视信号以及记录和/或再现数字电视信号。
D-VHS系统的优点是它与VHS系统兼容，在这种情况下(特别在记录介质的纵向磁迹上记录的CTL(控制)脉冲也用于记录数字电视信号)，磁头鼓和磁带驱动伺服机构可以应用于这两个系统。然而，与VHS系统不同，D-VHS系统在每种情况下提供两个倾斜磁迹用于记录帧，为了恢复帧按照D-VHS系统标准记录数字数据在每种情况下可以包括多达六个倾斜磁迹。

本发明基于下述构思，最好使用CTL脉冲的估计以倒带速度、参照作为绝对开始位置的准确磁迹的磁带位置，实现记录的数字电视信号的搜索，一旦到达目标位置或在它的附近，以相当低的搜索速度自动地完成搜索。在这种情况下，为了低速搜索，本发明在记录数字电视信号情况下，对每个单独的倾斜磁迹编号，在按照D-VHS系统标准的情况下，各个磁迹号码被安排在一个称为“子码区域”的对应的倾斜磁迹的区域中。

称为CODEC(编解码器)的编码/译码装置用于译码数字数据流(在第六时间周期t5-t6以及在第二时间周期t1-t2)。结合本发明搜索模式序列中包含的设备1的装置的对应控制，译码的数据流馈送到微处理器μP用于与本发明搜索相关的数据估计和由此产生的信号处理。
时间窗口或类似的内容最好在从速度v2减速到速度v1的一开始提供。
相对于减速开始，在设备1的任何情况下提供的剩余磁带确定的功能可以有益地用于纠错：例如根据关于本发明搜索模式的所实现的设备的实施例，在相对于CTL脉冲串计数错误的情况下，由于连接到绕带装置的磁带计数器的计数错误和/或由于磁带2上所谓的“漏失”点，它们不允许任何记录和由此的任何CTL脉冲检测。
