Abstract

Description
本发明涉及适用于平版印刷油墨的颜料组合物。
用于制作平版印刷油墨的颜料组合物,通常含有用于改善在油墨载色剂里颜料的润湿和分散性能的添加剂。这些添加剂也可以改善油墨的其它如流变学和光泽的性质。这类添加剂一般是松香和改性松香,例如氢化树脂、岐化树脂和马来酸改性树脂。这些添加剂通常在颜料合成期间以其稀碱的水溶液加进来,然后通过加入酸、诸如钙、铝或胺/季铵盐之类的金属盐和颜料沉淀。
但是,由于生态学的原因,伴随着在传统的贮墨器溶液中低级脂族醇被例如甘醇、表面活性剂等所代替,如上所述的这类颜料添加剂会妨碍平版印刷工艺,搅扰贮墨器溶液与油墨的脆弱的水/非水平衡,影响贮墨器溶液pH值的稳定生。
例如,当这类颜料用于平版印刷油墨中时发现贮墨器溶液的pH值逐渐地显著地增加,例如从约5一直增加到7甚至更高。当发生这种青况时,油墨与贮墨器溶液开始混合而这引起印刷性能变劣,如印刷分辨率变劣,特别是当使用现代化的高速印刷机时....
知道这个现象已经有几年了,在EP0315844中提议使用一种油溶解的缓冲剂以减小pH值的飘移。
我们已经发现,通过用树脂(其中羧酸基团已经部分或全部与醇、多元醇或苯酚反应形成不溶性的树脂酯)替换传统使用的树脂和盐,上述不希望有的贮墨器溶液的pH值的飘移能够显著地减小甚至被消除。这种生成的颜料组合物,以及这种颜料组合物容易地加到平版印刷油墨里,给予油墨以更高的印刷性:更好的贮墨器溶液/油墨平衡、减小的贮墨器溶液pH值飘移、更好的油墨传递性和印刷分辨率....这种树脂酯对颜料的着色性能没有有害的影响,并可以提高诸如流变性和光泽之类的性能。
由此,本发明提供将树脂化的颜料作为在平版印刷油墨中着色剂使用,其中产物的树脂化部分的10-100%,优选为40-100%(重量)是一种树脂酯。
本发明相关的基颜料是任何可以用于平版印刷油墨里的那些颜料,例如偶氮色淀类颜料类,像Pigment Reds(颜料红)48、52、53、57,二芳基化物颜料类,像Pigment Yellows(颜料黄)12、13、14和Pigment Orange(颜料橙)34和酞箐类,像pigment Blue(颜料蓝)15∶3。
所用的树脂酯可以是例如松香酸的酯,或改性的(氢化的、岐化的、马来酸的、聚合的、苯酚改性的)松香酸的酯。用于酯化的醇类一般可以含有1-20个碳原子并可任选地用诸如卤素如氯或氨基取代。适用的多元醇可以含有2-10个OH基团例如甘油和季戊四醇。适用的多元醇还包括苯酚自身和甲酚。可任选地,按照已知的技术可以将其它添加剂例如表面活性剂加入以辅助颜料的合成。这类添加剂可以包括非离子、阴离子、两性和阳离子的表面活性剂,例如环氧化-醇、-苯酚、-酸、-胺、-松香和改性的松香酸盐、硫酸烷基酯、硫代琥珀酸烷基酯、胺和季铵盐。但是在选择这些助剂的类型和量时,要注意确保它们的使用不抵消主要添加剂树脂酯的价值。
该颜料产物在平版印刷油墨里使用。这类油墨的载色剂包括芳族石油烃树脂、碱精制的亚麻子油、苯酚改性的松香的季戊四醇酯、马来酸-改性松香酯和它们相互之间的和与桐油的混合物。
本发明也提供平版印刷油墨,该平版印刷油墨包括平版印刷油墨载色剂和作为着色剂的树脂化颜料,其中产物的树脂化部分的10-100%,优选为40-100%(重量)是一种树脂酯。
本发明用下面的实施例具体描述。
实施例1
使用16.2克47%氢氧化钠水溶液在搅拌下将35.9克4-氨基甲苯-3-磺酸(98.2%)溶解在265毫升水里。在加入预先溶解在50毫升水里的12.2克亚硝酸钠之前通过加入冰将溶液的温度降低至0-5℃。将38毫升浓缩的盐酸(35%)在搅拌下加到该溶液中以生成重氮盐。在0-5℃通过加入冰将悬浮液的体积调节至750毫升。
在机械搅拌下通过加热至80℃将9.5克枞酸松香(商品名“Recoldis A”,由Langley Smithg and Co提供)溶解于带有2.6克氢氧化钠水溶液(47%)的240毫升水里。一旦得到树脂溶液,通过加入240毫升水将该溶液冷却至50℃。将30克氢氧化钠水溶液(47%)和35.5克β-羟基萘甲酸(BONA)加入,伴随着连续的机械搅拌。将19克50%w/w树脂酯分散液(商品名Tacolyn 153,由HerculesBV提供)加到溶液里。在0-5℃通过加入冰将悬浮液的体积调节至800毫升。
在40分钟内伴随机械搅拌将重氮成分加到树脂/树脂酯/BONA悬浮液里并将温度保持在0-5℃和pH值保持在10.8-11。
当偶联处理完成后,在加入33.2克氯化钙(80%)之前将悬浮液在上述条件下再搅拌15分钟。将悬浮液保持在上述条件下30分钟以便确保充分的色淀。在蒸汽加热至80℃之前,使用稀盐酸(10%)将悬浮液的pH值调节到7.0。悬浮液水洗使温度至65℃并过滤和洗去盐。产品在90℃干燥一夜,然后磨成粉。
将20克磨细的粉加到80克含1粉馏出液(商品名PKWF 4/7由Halterman提供),2份树脂(商品名Sparkle 93,由Lawter International提供)和3.25份胶态硬树脂(商品名Luminex 55,由Lawter International提供)的油墨漆里。混合在一个Buhler SDY-200三辊磨的后辊上在23℃和10巴的压力下进行5分钟。然后将混合物在23℃在三辊磨的反向辊上加压3×10巴(在每次过往之间在反向辊上混合2分钟),然后用更多的油墨漆使用研磨装置排出18%颜料淀积。
当与在实施例4所述的标准色样(无树脂酯)比较时,试样表现出不相上下的着色强度、显著地改善了光泽并显著地改善了低剪切下的流动性。
这种油墨在平版印刷工艺中所用的贮墨器溶液的pH飘移效果按照下述方法评定。将50克的这种油墨与150毫升标准贮墨器溶液(商品名Fountsol F5,由Inkland Ltd提供)一起放置在一个塑料容器内,并用VOSS双桨混合器(150rpm)搅拌该混合物1小时。将贮墨器溶液从油墨中分离并测量pH值。结果记录在表1中。与不含树脂酯的颜料(实施例4)比较,这种试样的pH值飘移表现出显著的改善。
实施例2
如实施例1那样制备一种颜料,但是将3.8克Recoldis A松香与1.04克氢氧化钠水溶液(47%)相混溶,并且使用30.4克Tacolyn 153树脂酯分散剂。
当加入一种热固化油墨漆并如实施例1那样测试时,与不含树脂酯的颜料(实施例4)比较,这个试样表现出相当的着色强度、显著改善的光泽低剪切流动性和降低的pH值飘移(表1)。
实施例3
如实施例1那样制备一种颜料,但是不使用Recoldis A松香,而是将38克Tacolyn 153(50%W/W)树脂酯分散剂加到产物里。将这种粉末如实施例1那样加到一种固化油墨漆里,当与不含树脂酯的颜料(实施例4)比较时,最终的油墨表现出相同的着色强度和显著改善了光泽,低剪切流动性和降低pH值的飘移(表1)。
实施例4
如实施例1那样制备一种颜料,但是将19克Recoldis A松香与5.2克氢氧化钠水溶液(47%)相混溶,并且在产品中不使用树脂酯分散剂。其pH值飘移的结果如实施例1制备的油墨那样,使用这个产品记录于表1中。

Claims (8)
1、树脂化的颜料作为在平版印刷油墨中着色剂的应用,其中产品的树脂化部分的10-100%(重量)是一种树脂酯。
2、如权利要求1所述的应用,其中产品的树脂化部分的40-100%(重量)是一种树脂酯。
3、如权利要求1或2所述的应用,其中所述树脂酯是从一种松香衍生的树脂酯,采用以任选的取代的醇或多元醇酯化在松香上的游离酸基团。
4、如权利要求3所述的应用,其中所述的松香是木松香、松香、浮油松香、或由这些中的任一个采用氢化、岐化或聚合作用衍生的产物。
5、如权利要求3或4所述的应用,其中所述的树脂酯是由松香采用甘油或季戊四醇酯化在松香上的游离酸基团。
