Abstract

一种信函传真邮件系统,能够接收并打印出呼叫者用电话留下的文字信息。收到振铃信号时,传真邮件系统形成通信路径并产生第一通知音调信号,以通知呼叫方邮件功能开始。然后,该系统检测从呼叫方电话产生的DTMF信号,并将与DTMF信号对应的文字信息转换成ASCII码储存到存储器中。进而,该系统对从呼叫方电话收到的口令与预定的口令进行比较,如果收到的口令与预定的口令符合,则打印出储存的文字信息。

Description

传真邮件系统及其控制方法
一般说,本发明涉及使用传真的电子邮件系统及其控制方法,更具体说,涉及用于打印出用户使用数字键留在传真上的文字信息的传真邮件系统及其控制方法。
通常,传真机打印出从呼叫传真机接收的图象信息,并将文件的图象信息传送给被呼叫的传真机。例如,为了传送图象信息,传真用户应将文件放在文件导向板上,并拨被叫传真机的电话号码以形成通信路径。然后,将图象信息经通信路径传输给被呼叫的传真机,并打印在纸面上。
然而,当一个人身边没有传真机而他又希望将文字信息通过传真留给某个人时,通常情况下是不可能使用家庭电话和公共电话等将文字信息传送给被呼叫传真机的。
因此,本发明的目的是提供一种能够接收并打印出用户使用电话发送的文字信息的传真邮件系统及其控制方法。
为了达到上述目的,当检测到振铃信号时传真邮件系统形成一个通信路径,并产生第一通知音调信号以通知呼叫方传送功能开始。然后,系统检测从呼叫方电话产生的DTMF信号(双音调调制频率信号),并将与DTMF信号对应的文字信息转换为ASCII代码,储存到存储器中。
进一步,系统将从呼叫方电话接收的口令与预定的口令比较,如果接收的口令与预定的口令符合,打印出储存的文字信息。
通过下面结合附图对实施例的详细描述将使本发明的上述和其它目的、特征和优点变得更加清楚,其中:
图1是本发明实施例的传真邮件系统的方框图;
图2是一流程图,用于控制本发明实施例的传真邮件系统;
图3是一转换表。用于将数字键输入转换成文字信息。
下面结合附图详细描述本发明最佳实施例的传真邮件系统。
参看图1,CPU(中央处理单元)10控制传真的整个操作。比如,当接收到呼叫时,CPU10检测从外部接收的DTMF信号,并将文字信息转换成代码数据。然后,CPU10储存该代码数据,以便当接收到口令时打印出接收的文字信息。振铃检测器12连接到电话线和CPU10上,检测通过电话线接收的振铃信号,并将该振铃信号提供给CPU10。存储器14储存本发明邮件系统的软件程序和在CPU10控制下接收振铃信号后所接收的数字键输入。通信路径交换电路16在CPU10控制下建立起到电话线的通信路径。DTMF接收机18连在通信路径交换电路16与CPU10之间,将从通信路径交换电路16接收的DTMF信号转换成数字数据,并将该数字数据提供给CPU10。音调发生器20根据CPU10的控制产生各种音调。代码转换器22将数字键输入转换成文字代码。打印机24在CPU10控制下将包含文字信息的图象数据打印在记录纸上。
现在,参考图1~3描述本发明最佳实施例的传真邮件系统的操作。
在步骤101,CPU10检查振铃检测器12是否检测到了给定次数的振铃信号。如果检测到振铃信号,则在步骤102中CPU10控制通信路径交换电路16,以建立起通到电话线的通信路径。在步骤103,CPU10控制音调发生器20,产生通过电话线的第一通知音调信号,以便通知呼叫方文字邮件功能已经开始。然后,当听到该音调信号时,呼叫者知道文字邮件功能已开始,并按下与呼叫者希望留下的文字信息相对应的数字键。接着,将数字键输入转换成DTMF信号,并通过公用网络传送给本发明的传真邮件系统。在步骤104,CPU10检查DTMF接收机18是否已收到DTMF信号。如果已收到DTMF信号,则在步骤105中CPU10控制码转换器22,根据图3中所示的转换表将与DTMF信号对应的数字键输入转换成ASCII码,并将该ASCII码储存到存储器14中。同时,当数字键输入完成时,用户(呼叫者)应按下#键。然后,在步骤106中,CPU10检查DTMF接收机18是否收到了#键信号。如果未收到#键信号,则过程返回到步骤104,重复地转换相继接收的数字键输入。然而,如果收到了#键信号,则在步骤107中DTMF接收机接收呼叫者使用拨号键送来的口令,并将该口令提供给CPU10。然后,在步骤108,CPU10将4位数的口令储存到存储器14中。在步骤109,CPU10控制音调发生器20,以产生通过电话线的第二通知音调信号,以便通知呼叫者邮件功能完成。然后,在步骤110,CPU10将现在收到的口令与存储器14中储存的口令比较,以检查口令是否彼此符合。根据比较结果,如果口令彼此不符合,则CPU10结束程序。如果口令彼此符合,则在步骤111中,CPU10控制打印机22打印出呼叫者储存在存储器14中的文字信息。于是,CPU10完成该程序。
虽然本发明根据图3的转换表作为参考,将数字键输入转换成字母信息,但应清楚知道,对于其它的不是字母信息的文字信息,比如朝鲜语和日语,同样也是可以的。
如上所述,根据本发明,呼叫者使用电话呼叫本发明的传真系统,并通过按动拨号键留下文字信息,然后,将与数字键输入对应的DTMF信号传输给本发明的传真邮件系统,并根据转换表将其转换成文字代码(比如ASCII码)。通过在传真邮件系统中配备的打印机,将该文字代码打出。以这种方式,本发明的传真邮件系统可接收和打印出呼叫者使用电话留下的文字信息。

Claims (5)

1.一种传真邮件系统,包括:
控制器,用于控制整个传真邮件系统;
振铃检测器,连接到电话线和所述控制器,用于检测通过电话线接收的振铃信号,以将所接收的振铃信号提供给所述控制器;
存储器,用于储存软件程序和按照所述控制器的控制接收所述振铃信号后所接收的数字键输入;
通信路径交换电路,根据所述控制器的控制形成通信路径;
DTMF接收机,连接在所述通信路径交换电路与所述控制器之间,用于将从所述通信路径交换电路来的DTMF信号转换成数字数据,并将该数字数据提供给所述控制器;
音调发生器,根据控制器的控制产生各种音调信号;
码转换器,用于将数字键输入转换成文字代码;和
打印机,根据所述控制器的控制将文字代码打印在记录纸上。
2.一种控制传真邮件系统的方法,其特征在于,使所述传真邮件系统接收并打印出呼叫方使用电话的数字键发送来的文字信息。
3.一种控制传真邮件系统的方法,包括以下步骤:
在检测到振铃信号时建立通信路径,并产生第一通知音调信号,以通知呼叫方邮件功能开始;
检测从所述呼叫方电话产生的DTMF信号;和
将与所述DTMF信号对应的文字信息转换成ASCII代码并储存该ASCII代码。
4.根据权利要求3的控制传真邮件系统的方法,其特征在于还包括以下步骤:
对从所述呼叫方电话收到的口令与预定的口令进行比较;
如果所述收到的口令与所述预定的口令符合,打印出储存的文字信息。
5.根据权利要求4的控制传真邮件系统的方法,其特征在于还包括以下步骤:
当接收所述文字信息完成时,产生第二通知音调信号,以通知邮件功能完成;
将所述第一通知音调信号传送给所述呼叫方的电话。
