Abstract

Description
本发明涉及主要适用于电灯原材料的玻璃组合物。
电灯的某些玻璃部件,例如白炽灯和荧光灯的芯柱和它们的排气管以及一些荧光灯灯泡,为了长期使用,一直是用具较高(20-29%(质量))氧化铅含量的玻璃制备的。对于这些玻璃而言,其中高氧化铝含量提供所期望的高电阻和作为良好的可加工性所需要的合格软度。
但是,已知含铅玻璃不但在玻璃和电灯制造过程中,而且以使用物产生的废物形式对环境具有有害的作用。所以,从环境保护的角度考虑,人们必须做出努力,以便降低/消除由玻璃制得的大量产品中铅的含量。欧洲专利申请第EP603933号公开了适用于电灯中的、主要用作芯柱玻璃和荧光灯泡玻璃的不含铅玻璃组合物。尽管其中所述的玻璃组合物就其应用参数(例如电阻、可加工性、热膨胀性等)而言非常接近含铅玻璃,但是它们的粘度值要比含铅玻璃粘度值高得多。因而,它们需要更高的火焰温度,即在制备电灯过程中要供给更多能量,它是不利的,尤其对于高速生产线的情况。这些玻璃组合物包含大量氧化钡和氧化锶(7-11%(质量)BaO,1-5%(重量)SrO)也是不利的。尽管现在认为BaO对环境的危害比PbO小,但它仍具有很强毒性,首先从劳动保健角度考虑它应该被降低。
在根据欧洲专利申请第EP603933号的玻璃组合物中,BaO主要提供高电阻(并作为PbO的替代品)并且使该玻璃具有良好的可加工性。根据该公开,BaO含量的下限是临界值。使用低于7%(重量)用量的BaO不仅降低所述玻璃的电阻,而且增加其熔化、软化和加工温度,它们对可加工性有不利影响。也需要SrO,以确保良好的可加工性。
我们的目的是研制主要适用于电灯中的玻璃组合物,其中,可以使BaO和SrO的用量降低,在某些情况下甚至可以完全取消SrO,而对该玻璃的电阻和可加工性参数无损害。
我们的研究产生一种共识,即通过合适地选择所述玻璃组合物的成分,完全可以达到上述目标。此外,该新的玻璃组合物的一些应用参数比公知的含PbO的组合物或公知的具高BaO和SrO含量的组合物的应用参数更为合适。因此,该新的玻璃组合物的电阻(TK100)要高于上述两种类型玻璃的电阻,并且其工作温度与含铅玻璃的工作温度非常接近,比上述高BaO含量玻璃组合物的工作温度更合适得多。
所以,本发明涉及用于电灯的玻璃组合物,它包含SiO2、Al2O3、Na2O、K2O、Li2O、B2O3、BaO、CaO和MgO,以及可选的SrO、Sb2O3、MnO2、Fe2O3和/或CeO2。根据本发明组合物的特征在于:其B2O3含量为1-5%(质量)、K2O含量为7.2-11%(质量)、BaO含量为5.5-9%(质量)、CaO含量为3.1-4.5%(质量)和MgO含量为2.1-4%(质量)。除所列成分外,它也可选地包含最高3.5%(质量)ZnO、最高1.2%(质量)的TiO2和最高0.8%(质量)的P2O5,条件是所述组合物所含CaO、MgO和可选的ZnO的总量至少为5.8%(质量)。
根据本发明的玻璃组合物根本不同于具有类似用途的高CaO和MgO含量的公知玻璃组合物。因此,例如在根据欧洲专利申请第EP603933号的玻璃组合物中,CaO和MgO的总量最高可以为5%(质量)(在其实施例中公开3.2%(质量)),但是,该申请也给出根本不包含CaO和MgO的比较用玻璃组合物。已知CaO增加玻璃的绝缘性能,但是,当增加其含量超过1-2%(质量)时,它将突然损害该玻璃的可加工性参数(它首先将升高所述玻璃的转变温度Tg)。这就是为什么通常没有制备可替代含铅玻璃的、CaO含量超过2-3%(质量)的玻璃组合物的原因。因此,CaO对增加电绝缘性能的可能作用仍然是不能利用的机会。本发明的主要特征是认识到通过适当地选择玻璃组合物的成分,首先通过使用高于常量的MgO,增加K2O用量并可选地加入ZnO、TiO2和/或P2O5可以抵消CaO的不利作用。因而,可以增加与提高电绝缘性能有关的所述玻璃组合物中CaO的含量,并使得用于类似目的的BaO含量降低。我们的又一惊人的认识是,所述玻璃组合物的可加工性参数甚至在当使BaO含量降低到小于7%(质量)(该值被认为对良好的可加性至关重要)情况下也是合适的。
在根据本发明的玻璃组合物中,CaO的用量可以优选为3.5-4.5%(质量)。选择MgO用量以使CaO、ZnO和MgO的总量至少为5.8%(质量)。其中CaO和MgO的总量优选为至少5.8%(质量)。
在根据本发明的玻璃组合物中使用5.5-9%(质量)的BaO是令人满意的。BaO用量可以优选为5.5-7%(质量)。
根据本发明的玻璃组合物可以优选包含7.7-9.4%(质量)的K2O。
在研究根据本发明的玻璃组合物过程中的一个重要认识为通过使用B2O3可以改进玻璃的可加工性。已发现优选使用1-5%(质量)的B2O3以便获得更合适的粘度性质。
根据本发明的玻璃组合物与也含可选的TiO2和/或P2O5的公知组合物不同。这两种物质都主要影响其结构的稳定性,即降低玻璃对结晶的敏感性和液线温度。优选所述玻璃组合物总共包含至少0.5%(质量)的TiO2和P2O5即TiO2+P2O5≥0.5%(质量)。也优选所述玻璃组合物中TiO2含量为0.2-1.2%(质量)和/或P2O5含量为0.2-0.8%(质量)。
作为另一个新特征,根据本发明的玻璃组合物也可选地包含ZnO。
根据本发明的玻璃组合物可以包含60-70%(质量)的SiO2、1.5-4.5%(质量)的Al2O3、5-6.9%(质量)的Na2O和0.4-1.4%(质量)的Li2O。在其它可选存在的成分中,Sb2O3的用量最高可达0.6%(质量)、CeO2的用量最高可达0.8%(质量)、MnO2的用量最高可达0.25%(质量),而Fe2O3的用量最高可达0.25%(质量)。
根据本发明的玻璃组合物具有的优点为:它们一般不需要包含SrO,且SrO的用量可以超过或不超过2%(质量)。
优选将以硼酸盐(例如无水硼砂Na2B4O7)或含硼酸盐(例如硼氢化镁)矿物质形式的三氧化二硼成分加到用于玻璃熔融的混合物中。就其用量而言,以硼酸盐或矿物质形式加入的B2O3对于熔炉壁无明显腐蚀作用。
根据本发明的玻璃组合物具有特别的优点,即它同样适合用来制备芯柱玻璃、荧光灯泡玻璃和其它特殊产品(例如用作微型白炽灯灯泡玻璃)。这意味着可以按更为实用的方法制备具有不同用途的产品,甚至同时在一个给定的熔化炉中制备,它产生最佳的生产能力。
在根据本发明的玻璃组合物中,在打算利用该组合物制备荧光灯灯泡玻璃的情况下,将优选首选使用CeO2。该物质主要适用于降低透过灯泡玻璃的紫外光,但是它也可以充当精制剂。利用该物质时,也可以在完全电炉中熔化所述玻璃组合物。所述可选成分例如Sb2O3、Fe2O3和MnO2中的一些成分例如Fe2O3可以作为混杂物存在于玻璃熔融的原料混合物中。所以,不需要将它们分开加入。
在考虑确定所述玻璃组合物在电灯中适应的技术参数,例如热膨胀性、粘度(可加工性特征)和电阻后,根据本发明的玻璃组合物可以作为现行使用含铅玻璃的良好替代物。同时,使用它们比使用含量高用量BaO和SrO的玻璃组合物具有更多优点。
由于其更合适的粘度性质,可以使用比根据欧洲专利申请第EP603933号中材料更少的能量来熔融和加工根据本发明的玻璃组合物。代表结晶敏感性的其液相线点(Tliq)也明显低于根据欧洲专利申请第EP603933号材料的液相线点和含铅玻璃的液相线点。在根据本发明的玻璃组合物中观测到的结晶强度也较弱,这表明它具有合适的、非常弱的结晶敏感性。根据本发明的玻璃组合物具有显著的耐化学腐蚀性,鉴于其高碱金属氧化物含量,这是极其令人吃惊的结果。
下列实施例用于说明根据本发明的玻璃组合物和应用参数。
实施例
使施所述玻璃组合物按50kg装炉量,于1480-1500℃溶化在间歇式操作的天然气加热的池窑中。加入表1中所列以下列形式存在的各成分:石英砂形式的SiO2、锂辉石形式的Al2O3、无水硼砂形式的B2O3、以相应碳酸盐形式的碱金属氧化物、白云石形式的CaO和MgO、磷酸钙或磷酸钠形式的P2O5和以相应氧化物形式的其它物质。
作为精制剂,可以使用硫酸钠或硫酸钡和淀粉,也可以使用氧化锑和硝酸钠。在某些情况下,单独使用Fe2O3,但是,最优选使用以不同程度混杂铁的原料。使以少量加入的成分(硫酸盐、淀粉、二氧化钛、骨灰等)与一些石英砂一起预先在实验室混合器中预混合,然后与其它成分混合。使用玻璃工业常规方法,在均化30分钟后,进行熔化过程。使用两种精炼技术,所述组合物产生能被精炼和合适加工的高质量熔体。
根据本发明的玻璃组合物的详情和应用参数分别归纳于表I和表II中。作为比较,表II中列出了公知的包含20%PbO玻璃组合物的相应数据(在表II中用“P”表示)和在欧洲专利申请第EP603933中所述玻璃组合物的相应数据(在表II中用“B”表示)。
用于表II中的另外一些符号的定义如下。
α(50-350):于50-350℃的热膨胀系数(参照ISO标准7991)
Tg:(膨胀法测定的)转变温度(参照ISO标准7884-8)
TL:Littleton软化点(参照ISO标准7884-6)
TK100:logρ(欧姆cm)值为8时的温度(logρ是直流电阻率值的常用对数),
Tliq:液相线温度,高于该温度时玻璃不结晶(在持续热处理24小时后)
水耐久性:对蒸馏水(提取法)的化学耐性,用蒸馏水提取碎玻璃,根据反滴定消耗0.01N酸的量来表示(根据DIN标准12111)
Twork:当粘度η=104dPa时的加工温度。

当然,根据本发明的玻璃可以用在所有领域,尤其用在需要该玻璃优越特性的电灯玻璃部件中。该玻璃主要可以用作白璃炽灯和放电灯的芯柱和排气管,此外用作低压放电灯尤其小型荧光灯的灯泡和排气管以及小型白炽灯灯泡。
本发明的目的为使用根据本发明的玻璃组合物制备电灯玻璃部件。
在图1和图2中,分别显示作为实施例的电灯和小型荧光灯的芯柱。
在图1中,可看到白炽灯的芯柱1,该芯柱1包含钟口2、导入线4a和4b、灯丝5和排气管3。使灯丝5夹在几部分导入线4a和4b的未端之间。在生产线上,上述部件用火焰加热并通过收缩钟口2使这些部件一起密封,以便导入线4a和4b的杜美(镀铜铁镍合金)部分7a和7b进入所述钟口2的收缩部分6中。所述钟口2和排气管3的材料为根据本发明的玻璃组合物。其灯泡(图中未示出)的材料为包含下列基本成分:SiO2、Na2O、K2O、CaO、MgO、Al2O3的钠钙硅酸盐软玻璃。在生产线上,在灯泡边缘处,使钟口2密封。
根据本发明的芯柱除了作为白炽灯芯柱外,也可以作为其它类型电灯(例如低压放电灯特别是直线型荧光灯等)的芯柱。
在图2中,可看到小型荧光灯11包含两个管状部分。使其电极15的导入线14a、14b以及另一电极(图中未示出)的导入线14c、14d和排气管13a及13b在灯泡12末端收缩部分16a和16b处密封。导入线14a、14b、14c、14d材料为镀镍50-50%铁镍合金。灯泡12和排气管13a、13b的材料为根据本发明的玻璃组合物。为了滤掉紫外辐射线,灯泡12的材料包含CeO2的量为微量(>0),优选0.3-0.6%(质量)。
Claims (10)
1.用于电灯的玻璃组合物,它包含SiO2、Al2O3、Na2O、K2O、Li2O、B2O3、BaO、CaO和MgO,以及可选的SrO、Sb2O3、MnO2、Fe2O3和/或CeO2,其特征在于其B2O3含量为1-5%(质量)、K2O含量为7.2-11%(质量)、BaO含量为5.5-9%(质量)和MgO含量为2.1-4%(质量),此外,除上述成分外,它也可选地包含最高为3.5%(质量)的ZnO、最高为1.2%(质量)的TiO2和最高为0.8%(质量)的P2O5,条件是其中CaO、MgO和ZnO在所述组合物中的总的含量至少为5.8%(质量)。
2.按照权利要求1的玻璃组合物,其特征在于它包含至少0.5%(质量)的TiO2和P2O5。
3.按照权利要求1的玻璃组合物,其特征在于它包含0.2-1.2%(质量)的TiO2。
4.按照权利要求1的玻璃组合物,其特征在于它包含0.2-0.8%(质量)的P2O5。
5.按照权利要求1的玻璃组合物,其特征在于它包含3.5-4.5%(质量)的CaO。
6.按照权利要求1的玻璃组合物,其特征在于它包含至少5.8%(质量)的CaO和MgO。
7.按照权利要求1的玻璃组合物,其特征在于它包含7.7-9.4%(质量)的K2O。
8.根据上述任一项权利要求的玻璃组合物,其特征在于它包含60-70%(质量)的SiO2、1.5-4.5%(质量)的Al2O3、5-6.9%(质量)的Na2O、0.4-1.4%(质量)的Li2O、1-5%(质量)的B2O3,此外,它可选地包含最高为0.6%(质量)的Sb2O3、最高为0.8%(质量)的CeO2、最高为0.25%(质量)的MnO2和/或最高为0.25%(质量)的Fe2O3。
9.使电流导入线穿过电灯芯柱并用真空紧密的方式密封,使该芯柱按真空紧密方式密封在灯泡中,该芯柱的特征在于其材料为权利要求1-8中任一项的玻璃组合物。
10.电灯灯泡,特别是荧光灯灯泡,其特征在于其材料为权利要求1-8中任一项的玻璃组合物。
