Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of potted planting of holly in North America, in particular to a method for dwarfing and strengthening the potted seedling of holly in North America.
Background
North America ilex (Ilexverillata) is a well-known fruit-viewing and branch-cutting tree species, the most remarkable feature of which is the dense and bright red fruit with branches. At present, the domestic potted holly products in North America are deficient in cultivation management technology, and have the problems of compact plant type, low fruit density, low fruit bearing quantity and the like. The new shoots of the ilex pedunculata have large growth quantity in North America, and more secondary branches and tertiary branches can cause early crown closing, so that flower bud formation is reduced, and plant type and fruiting condition are seriously affected. If the artificial shaping and pruning are only relied on, a large amount of manpower and material resources are consumed, and the normal growth of plants can be influenced due to the excessive amount of the thinned branches, so that the expected ornamental effect of potted seedlings can not be achieved finally.
Paclobutrazol (Paclokutrazol) as a plant growth retardant can regulate the anabolism of endogenous gibberellin of plants, has the physiological effects of dwarfing plants, delaying plant growth, improving stress resistance of plants and the like, and is widely applied to the production of field crops, fruit trees, vegetables and the like. In field crops, the application of paclobutrazol can reduce plant height, shorten stem length, increase stem thickness, increase leaf number, improve crop yield and reduce crop lodging.
At present, researches and results of applying plant growth retarders in cultivation and management of potted seedlings of North American ilex pedunculata are few, and although the application of paclobutrazol directly to the potted North American ilex pedunculata plays a role in dwarfing plants to a certain extent, the application of paclobutrazol also easily causes uneven growth of the North American ilex pedunculata and seriously affects ornamental value of the potted plants, and patent No. 201610038623.7 discloses a fertilizing method for increasing fruit diameter and improving quality of the potted plants of the North American ilex pedunculata by a specific paclobutrazol fertilizing mode, so that the potted fruits are large and dense, but the effect of the paclobutrazol on the dwarfed seedlings of the North American ilex pedunculata is not mentioned, namely, the regulation effect of the potted plants cannot be determined.
Disclosure of Invention
Aiming at the defects of the prior art, the invention provides a method for dwarfing and strengthening potted seedlings of North American ilex, which adopts a specific fertilization method to carry out the potted planting of North American ilex, and the fertilization method can effectively inhibit plant height, control branch growth, shorten branch section distance and make the potted plant type compact and robust.

(3) And (3) fertilization management: applying a compound nitrogen fertilizer for 1 time in 4 months of the first year, applying a slow release fertilizer for 1 time from the bottom of 8 months to the last 9 months, and applying a long-acting slow release fertilizer before winter;
(4) And (5) management in the second year: pruning again before spring in the next year, leaving annual branches for 5cm, spraying paclobutrazol solution 3 times according to the mode of the step (2) when annual branches sprout for 4-5cm, wherein each time is separated by 7 days, and fertilization management is the same as that of the step (3);
(5) And (3) management in the third year: in the third year, the male-female ratio of 1:9 is adopted for matched planting, and the compound nitrogen fertilizer is applied for 1 time from the bottom of 8 months to the last 9 months.
Preferably, the root-controlling basin transplanted in the step (1) is a container with the specification of 30cm multiplied by 25cm, and the potting matrix is nutrient soil.
Preferably, the concentration of the paclobutrazol dissolved solution is 1000mg/L, and the spraying time is that after four afternoon, a pressure type spray can is selected for application.
Preferably, in the step (5), the fertilizer is not applied before the third year of potted plants bloom, so that the culture medium is in a low-fertilizer state.
Preferably, in the step (5), the male plants are uniformly distributed in the female plants during the matched planting.
Preferably, the pot culture period of the North American ilex is 3 years.
Preferably, the planting and fertilizing mode of the north american holly pot cultivated in the three years in the step (5) in the fourth year is the same as that in the step (3).
The invention provides a method for dwarfing and strengthening north american holly potted seedlings, which has the advantages compared with the prior art that:
the method for dwarfing and strengthening the potted seedling of the North American ilex provided by the invention can effectively inhibit the longitudinal growth of the winter green seedling, reduce the plant height, shorten the newly germinated branches, strengthen the stems of the plants, effectively and uniformly adjust the column shape of the North American ilex, and promote the beauty and ornamental value of the potted plant.
