热密封的方法及其装置
技术领域
本发明涉及一种把在医疗卫生材料和包装领域里常用的不织布、塑料等热塑性材料连续地进行热密封的方法及其装置。
背景技术
近年来,由于不需要粘合剂就能够形成所希望形状的熔敷部,对热塑性(热融接性)原材料进行热密封的方法变得简单而便利,因而被广泛地使用。在热密封方法中,与条状密封法、滑动切断密封法、带状密封法等一样,通过对相对方向旋转的滚筒的其中之一方或者双方加热,让至少其中一张为热融接性的2张以上的带状薄片通过这些滚筒之间,对薄片连续地进行热密封的旋转滚筒法已为人们所知。有时还在旋转滚筒中设置热密封刀刃。在这样的场合下,滚筒表面上设置的密封刀刃按照由滚筒的旋转所形成的轨迹,在热融接性薄片上形成各种形状的密封部。
原则上说,尽管热融接性材料是可以进行热密封的,但是,在多层或厚薄片的情况下,有时会产生密封不良。通常,应该被密封的薄片和薄片的接触面(密封面)的温度比与加热滚筒接触的薄片的表层部分温度要低,特别是在使多层或厚薄片与加热滚筒接触到进行热密封为止的短期间内,让密封面升温到所必需的热密封温度是很难的。这时,如果加大与加热滚筒的接触时间以确保热密封温度的话,就会减慢生产速度降低生产效率。而且,如果把加热滚筒的温度设定得较高,就会引起多层或厚薄片的表层部分过热而破损、出现破洞、变硬等不良现象。
为此,在不让多层或厚薄片的表层受到不良影响的温度下,可以考虑采用让密封刀刃多次触打在应该密封的部位的方法。可是,本发明人的研究结果表明,若是预备多个具有同一形状的热密封刀刃的热密封装置(由一对旋转滚筒构成的装置),连续地进行密封处理的话,第二次以后的密封部位会偏离最初的密封部位。如果产生这种“错位”,就得不到所希望的密封强度,而且密封部分的面积被扩大、外观质量也会变差。
本发明的目的在于提供一种特别是对多层或厚薄片的热融接性薄片,在不使其表层受到恶劣影响并且保持充分的密封强度的情况下,能够在同一部位多次地进行热密封的热密封方法及其装置。
发明内容
本发明还提供一种热密封装置,包括具有多个密封刀刃的多个密封用滚筒,和设置在所述多个密封用滚筒对面的一个对向滚筒,其特征在于,多张薄片经过由所述多个密封用滚筒和所述对向滚筒形成的空隙而被密封,备有一个薄片按压器,配置在所述对向滚筒上,可以沿该对向滚筒的径向移动用以对所述多张薄片施与以及松解按压力。
本发明还提供一种热密封方法,其特征在于,包括使薄片通过由对向滚筒和在该对向滚筒对面配置的第一密封用滚筒所形成的空隙,由薄片按压器施与向与该对向滚筒相反方向的推压而被第一次密封;使薄片通过由对向滚筒和在该对向滚筒对面配置的第二密封用滚筒所形成的空隙,由薄片按压器施与向与该对向滚筒相反方向的推压而被第二次密封。
本发明的热密封方法是一种在密封用滚筒和与该密封用滚筒相对面设置的对向滚筒之间让多张薄片经过的热密封方法,相对于一个对向滚筒配置多个设有密封刀刃的密封用滚筒;使得同一密封部位能够被多次地进行热密封。其结果,能够在不使表层受到恶劣影响的密封温度下实现密封,并且能够确保足够的密封强度。
本发明还提供一种热密封方法,在密封用滚筒和与该密封用滚筒相对面设置的对向滚筒之间让多张薄片经过,相对于设有多个密封刀刃的一个密封用滚筒配置多个对向滚筒;使得同一密封部位能够被多次地热密封,其结果也能够在不使表层受到恶劣影响的密封温度下实现密封,并且能够确保足够的密封强度。
而且,无论在上述的哪一个方法中,对向滚筒都可以具备一个薄片保持机构。这样,可以进一步防止薄片的歪行、发挥防止密封部位的位置偏离的效果。
而且,本发明还提供一种用于进行本发明第一方面所述的热密封方法的热密封装置,包括设有密封刀刃的多个密封用滚筒;和与所述多个密封用滚筒全部接触的一个对向滚筒。
而且,本发明还提供一种用于进行本发明第二方面所述的热密封方法的热密封装置,包括设有多个密封刀刃的一个密封用滚筒;和与所述多个密封刀刃的个数相同的多个对向滚筒。
无论是上述哪一种结构,对于进行本发明的热密封都是很有用的装置。
而且,本发明的热密封装置的所述的对向滚筒或密封用滚筒还可以具有薄片保持机构,这样可以防止薄片的位置偏离,使得在同一部位进行密封变得更加容易。
而且,本发明的热密封装置的薄片保持机构可以是相对于滚筒的外周面可以自由地接触和离开结构的薄片按压器。通过采用只有在必要的时候压住薄片的薄片按压器,能够既不减弱生产线的速度还能在同一部位进行密封。
而且,本发明的热密封装置的密封用滚筒的密封刀刃附近还可以涂覆有金刚石类碳,也可以在对向滚筒的整个外周面涂覆有金刚石类碳。因为金刚石类碳能够形成质地非常硬的薄膜,所以能够延长密封刀刃以及密封刀刃所接触的对向滚筒的寿命。

具体实施方式
下面结合附图对本发明的实施例加以详细的说明。
由于柔弱的薄片材料在生产线中容易发生位置的变动(歪行),通常是给薄片施加一点点牵力,一边拉拽一边让它移动,但是当热密封时,被加热的薄片会软化,这样就会出现由于牵力而引起的在密封部位的附近被变长。并且,因结晶排列的影响,也会出现由热密封引起的热收缩现象。因此,即使准备了多个由一对旋转滚筒而构成的、具有同样形状的密封刀刃的热密封装置,让薄片连续地通过,也会引起位置偏离、很难在同一部位进行密封。
在本发明中,采用了把密封用滚筒、对向滚筒的其中之一设置成一个,把与它对面接触的另外的滚筒设置成多个的结构。由于热融接性薄片在与其中的一个滚筒紧密地接触在一起不变的状态下接受多次地密封,这样就能够减少其位置的偏离。
在图1中,示意了具备3个密封用滚筒(第一密封用滚筒11,第二密封用滚筒12,第三密封用滚筒13)和1个对向滚筒2的热密封装置1的剖面图。密封用滚筒11~13具有未图示的加热机构,密封刀刃的表面被加热至适合于密封的温度。对向滚筒2也具有加热机构,最好维持在被加热的状态。而且,为了防止密封用滚筒11~13正在转动时,凸出设置的密封刀刃部分的温度降低,可以在密封用滚筒11~13的附近设置有棒状的电缆(sheath)加热器,也可以并用高频加热器,远红外加热器、油加热器等其他加热装置。
2张连续的薄片31、32被滚入第一密封用滚筒11和对向滚筒2之间,进行最初的热密封,两薄片31、32通过密封部分而成为一体的薄片33。薄片33就这样以与对向滚筒接触的状态被传送,通过第二密封用滚筒12再一次被密封。通过分别调整第一~第三密封用滚筒和对向滚筒2的转动速度,可以让第二密封位置与第一密封位置取得一致。同样,由第三密封滚筒13,在与第一次以及第二次密封的位置相同的位置上进行第三密封。
薄片31、32,只要其中之一为热融接性就可以。各薄片31、32是已经由几张薄片迭层的多层薄片也可以,在这种情况下,有必要在薄片31的密封面31a,或者薄片32的密封面32a的一侧设置具有热融接性的原材料。
要是采用多个由一对旋转滚筒构成的热密封装置,来进行多次密封的话,薄片在装置和装置之间传送时,容易引起歪行现象,而本发明由于薄片33在和对向滚筒2接触在一起维持不变的状态下受到3次密封,这就防止了歪行,可以在同一位置进行密封。
为了更进一步防止歪行,在同一位置进行多次密封,最好在对向滚筒2上设置薄片保持机构。作为薄片保持机构,可以利用①空气吸引孔、②摩擦阻力的增大(或者减小)机构、③薄片按压器等。如果并用上述①~③的机构,就能够更进一步抑制薄片位置的移动。以下,就这些机构具体地进行说明。
①空气吸引孔
在对向滚筒2当中,除了密封部(密封用滚筒的密封刀刃通过薄片接触的部分)以外,在和薄片32宽度大致相同的滚筒的外围部分设置了空气吸引孔,一边吸引保持密封后的薄片33,一边让它移动。这样,由于薄片33的位置变化能够得到抑制,第一次密封位置和第二次、第三次密封位置的偏离就消除了。如果薄片31或者薄片32为非通气性原材料的话,吸引保持是容易的,但是,如果是不织布等通气性原材料的话,有时难于仅仅通过调整风量、风压等进行吸引保持。

当薄片32是如同不织布一样的具有通气性的纤维薄片的场合时,即使让它与滚筒(密封用滚筒11~13或者对向滚筒2)接触着移动,由于牵引力的大小,密封后的薄片33容易向流动(移动)方向延长、薄片33的宽度变窄,从而成为密封位置偏离的原因。此时,可以推荐增大滚筒表面的摩擦阻力,使得滚筒表面和薄片33不至于错开。另一方面,由于细长的纤维形成的不织布其表面的毛绒容易立起来,如果滚筒的摩擦阻力太大,毛绒就会被附在滚筒上。在这种情况下,为了把薄片33从滚筒上顺利地取下来,就要减小滚筒表面的摩擦阻力。为调整滚筒表面的摩擦力,可在其表面涂覆或插入诸如橡胶、氨基甲酸酯等增大摩擦阻力的材料、或者诸如聚四氟乙烯(塑料)、MC尼龙、各种硅等减小摩擦力的材料。而且,也可以用热喷镀或散粒喷射等处理来调整滚筒表面的粗糙程度。在这些手段方法中,也可以并用其中的2种以上的方法。
③薄片按压器
薄片按压器是一种把薄片33按压在对向滚筒表面上的器具。如果考虑连续密封,就有必要把薄片按压器制作成即能够压着薄片也能离开薄片,也就是说,相对于对向滚筒的表面可以自由地接触和分离。例如,如图2和图3所示,在对向滚筒2的侧面,形成有向放射方向延伸的十字形的沟41、42,并设置了沿着沟41可滑动的薄片按压器51、53,以及沿着沟42可滑动的薄片按压器52、54。薄片按压器51~54和对向滚筒2一体旋转。另外,在薄片按压器51、52、53、54上分别设置了凸轮部61、62、63、64。
薄片按压器51的顶端部分51x由像胶等摩擦阻力较大的材料制成,能可靠地保持薄片。与薄片按压器51连接的凸轮部61、和与薄片按压器53连接的凸轮部63、被设置成独立于对向滚筒,通过埋入固定的导向板8的导向沟9内,能沿着此导向沟9摇摆滑动。未图示的薄片按压器52和54与凸轮部62、64也具有同样的构成。
在图4和图5中,示意了导向沟9、凸轮部和薄片按压器的动作过程。如图5所示,导向沟9,在一周的大约2/3,描画出轴心距为l2的圆弧形的轨迹,而在Z区域,描画出较l2短的轴心距为l1的圆弧形轨迹。因此,图4的薄片按压器54的顶端部最初尽管和对向滚筒2的表面相隔一段间隔,然而当凸轮部64成都向沟9中移动并进入Z区域到达假想线所示位置(薄片按压器54b)时,薄片按压器54b会滑动变位以接近轴心。为此,如图5所示,薄片按压器54b的顶端54x会压向对向滚筒2的表面,从而对着滚筒表面压住了薄片。薄片按压器51,在薄片按压器54进行上述动作的过程中,
从与滚筒表面的接触状态改变成分离状态(51b)。
在图4中,把Z区域定为从由密封用滚筒11开始进行第一次密封的位置起,到密封用滚筒13和对向滚筒2的之间引入薄片33的位置为止的这一段区间是比较理想的。根据此构成,能可靠地保持着第一次密封后的薄片不变,接着进行第二次密封、第三次密封,从而使得在同一位置上进行密封成为可能。
导向沟9的形状可以随着密封用滚筒的数量和设置位置来改变。而且,薄片按压器作为相对于对向滚筒来说,是一种能自由地与对向滚筒相接触和分离的驱动机构,也可以采用螺线管调节器或者空气汽缸等。
而且,在图1中,密封用滚筒和对向滚筒也可以是反过来使用。也就是说,也可以是由3个对向滚筒和1个密封用滚筒构成的装置,这种情况下,1个密封用滚筒2的表面上设有3个密封刀刃,在对向滚筒和密封用滚筒通过薄片接触的位置上形成密封刀刃,只要调整各滚筒的转动速度(周速)就可以。而且,薄片保持机构只要设置在密封用滚筒上即可。
所提到的多个滚筒(密封用滚筒或者对向滚筒),当然并不只限于图1中的3个,适当地进行设计变更是可能的。为了获得良好的密封强度,可根据密封刀刃的形状(面积)、薄片的原材料、薄片的张数等来变更热密封的条件。例如,把含有聚烯烃60%以上的聚烯烃族的2张薄片线状密封接在一起时,如果在80℃以上,每1mm薄片线加压20~60kg的条件下,就能够得到良好的密封强度,因此只要以这个标准来进行变更就可以。为了改变密封时间,也可以采用让密封用滚筒和对向滚筒的轴心偏心(互相错开),虽然旋转次数相同,但却能改变旋转中的圆周速度的方法。
在本发明的热密封装置中,在密封用滚筒的密封刀刃的附近以及对向滚筒的整个周面,通过用金刚石类碳涂覆,可以防止这些滚筒的摩损,延长使用寿命。
所称的密封刀刃附近至少包含密封刀刃的顶端部。由于密封刀刃通常被设置成从滚筒的周面凸出1~20mm的程度,所以也可以用金刚石类碳来涂覆包括密封刀刃的全体、或者凸出设置有密封刀刃的那部分附近。最好是用金刚石类碳涂覆对向滚筒的整个周面从而使密封刀刃可以接触对向滚筒的任何部位。
金刚石类碳是一种让炭离子碰撞基板而形成的物质,虽然是类似于金刚石的坚硬炭膜,但不显示结晶性。为了涂覆这样的金刚石类碳,可以采用等离子化学汽相淀积法(CVD)等方法。而且,金刚石类碳层,在由于长期的使用而开始磨损的情况下,可以先剥除切断刀刃表面的金刚石类碳层,再重新涂覆。密封刀刃或者对向滚筒本身,可以采用不锈钢、各种合金、铝、陶瓷等。由于使用金刚石类碳,与使用超硬度的合金来制作密封用滚筒的场合来比较,可以用1/3以下的成本进行制造。
产业上利用的可能性
本发明的热密封方法及其装置,由于能够在同一个部位进行多次密封,故即使是多层薄片或者厚薄片,表层也不会因过分地被加热而受到损伤,且能进行高速热密封。而且,由于具备薄片保持机构,可以防止薄片的歪行,能够将进行了第一次密封的薄片压接在滚筒上不改变位置,来进行第二次以后的密封,从而使得在同一位置可靠地进行密封变成一种可能。
更进一步,用金刚石类碳涂覆热密封刀刃附近和对向滚筒的周面的这一结构,能够最大限度地减少密封刀刃和对向滚筒之间的摩擦损耗。

Claims (6)

1、一种热密封装置,包括具有多个密封刀刃的多个密封用滚筒(11、12、13),和设置在所述多个密封用滚筒(11、12、13)对面的一个对向滚筒(2),其特征在于,
多张薄片(31、32)经过由所述多个密封用滚筒(11、12、13)和所述对向滚筒(2)形成的空隙而被密封,
备有一个薄片按压器(51、52、53、54),配置在所述对向滚筒(2)上,可以沿该对向滚筒(2)的径向移动用以对所述多张薄片(31、32)施与以及松解按压力。
2、根据权利要求1所述的热密封装置,其特征在于,所述的密封用滚筒的密封刀刃附近和对向滚筒(2)表面涂覆有金刚石类碳。
3、根据权利要求1所述的热密封装置,其特征在于,所述的薄片(31、32)至少其中之一是由热融接性材料制成。
4、一种热密封的方法,其特征在于,包括
使薄片(31、32)通过由对向滚筒(2)和在该对向滚筒(2)对面配置的第一密封用滚筒(11)所形成的空隙,由薄片按压器(51、52、53、54)施与向与该对向滚筒(2)相反方向的推压而被第一次密封;
使薄片(31、32)通过由对向滚筒(2)和在该对向滚筒(2)对面配置的第二密封用滚筒(12)所形成的空隙,由薄片按压器(51、52、53、54)施与向与该对向滚筒(2)相反方向的推压而被第二次密封。
5、根据权利要求4所述的热密封的方法,其特征在于,还包括调整所述第一密封用滚筒(11)、第二密封用滚筒(12)以及对向滚筒(2)的圆周速度,使所述第一次密封装置和第二次密封装置相吻合。
6、根据权利要求4所述的热密封方法,其特征在于,所述的薄片(31、32)至少其中之一是由热融接性材料制成。
